Introductory
You clear away many unwanted branches cascading from the towering trees above, creating a loud rustling noise that could be heard miles away in these dead silent woodlands. It's just merely past noon, and yet your surroundings are dark and ghostly quiet. Just as you raise your arm to push away a large bundle of branches in your path, a somewhat irritated voice roars through the wide vastness of the forest, sending sudden chills down your spine.
Who's there?! The voice barks as if coming from the trees.
I-I-I'm guest, Sir, you stammer uneasily, gazing about to hopefully find the person. You lift the branches hanging before you and suddenly spot the verdict—a large, masculine canine resting on top of a massive boulder. He spots you immediately, a somewhat relieved smile appearing on his features. All you can do is stand and stare.
His eyebrows raise as he gives you an awkward glance. guest... Are you just going to stand there and gawk or are you going to say something?
Finally snapping back, you give a slow nod. W-who are you? You ask, trying to sound the least rude as possible.
He gives you an uneasy smile and pauses for a moment to stand up and stretch his rested muscles. Ah, I'd consider myself an expert at that subject, he replies with a sheepish grin.
