Say Hello
To Miss America

The Girl
Name;; Natalee Korin Renelds. Just call her Natalee. No nicknames. No exceptions.

She is is twenty years old.

Alliance;; Natalee is, for the most part, a cut-throat. Only caring for her own well-being, she generally sides with whatever group will benefit her most. Regular humans are 'weaker' according to her; therefore being with the cut-throats is in her best interest. That being said, if she were to find siding with the humans more beneficial, then she would definitely switch sides. .

Powers;; Natalee has an enhanced mental function. She can work through problems much quicker than the average person. Her mind also works like a 'human lie detector'. All the little nuances a lying person does (shifty eyes, hand fiddling, hair twisting, etc.), are much easier for her to pick up. Granted, her 'detecting' isn't one hundred percent accurate. Occasionally she may miss a sign, but usually error in judgment is caused by her being over observant. .

Weapon of choice;; Natalee keeps a small, sharp knife on her at all times. She knows how to use it well. .

On The Inside

All for one Even before the fog, she always put herself before anyone else, especially when it came to competition. Natalee is willing to do anything for the sake of winning. This obsession with winning has lost her many friends.

There are two things Natalee always carries on her: Her knife and a mirror Vain. Vain. Vain. Appearance matters more than anything else in Natalee's world. If you're not pretty, then you're worthless. A fog may be destroying the world and killing millions of people, the future of humanity may be uncertain, but, despite that, Natalee still obsesses over her appearance. She constantly checks out her reflection in a little bit of glass she uses as a mirror. Sometimes she can be seen putting on eyeliner that she has scavenged from ruins. Hey, the world ending is not a good excuse to walk around looking like a bum, right?

Mirror Mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? With vanity often comes insecurity. Now, Natalee knows that she is not ugly. That's not the issue. Natalee is not seeking mere beauty, she's seeking perfection. And it is a never ending quest.

Never gunna be alone, from this moment on The idea of being alone paralyzes Natalee with fear. She can't stand it. With her old life, it was never an issue. Her life revolved around school and pageants, both places where she was surrounded by people. Whether the people liked her or not didn't faze her, as long as there was always someone around.

You're fat. Natalee has no filter. Everything that comes out of her mouth is one hundred percent what she feels. It's also usually pretty sarcastic. This trait tends to make Natalee seem like a total witch, and makes her seem very complain-y.

In a Mirror She'd See

She was a pageant star, the most favored to become Miss America, how do you think she looked?

Before the fog, Natalee had a cascading mixture of blonde and brown locks. Long hair was generally preferred in the pageant industry. Her grey eyes were usually only accented with a slight dash of mascara. She would often wear whatever Seventeen or Glamour advertised as 'in style'. At 5'6, Natalee was at a good height for the world of beauty. Her body was and remains extremely skinny, a bit too much so.

After the fog however, she used her little knife to chop all her hair off into a short, messy shag. She began experimenting with darker, more dramatic makeup. Her usual outfit is a lacy, low cut, green tank and ultra short jean shorts. The world used to be easy, innocent. The way she dressed before was a reflection of her idea of the perfect girl for that world. However, the world has changed very much, and it no longer harbors the same atmosphere. As she sees it, her new style reflects the perfect woman in this world: dark, edgy, and unpredictable.

Une Histoire
Having been blessed with good looks, California born and raised Natalee had been admired for her looks by many who met her.
You should really be a model.
Natalee grew up hearing that phrase and many others like it. It only seemed natural that, being so pretty, she should be entered in the Little Miss Princess pageant. It took some convincing, however, to persuade her parents to let her sign up for it. They weren't keen on the whole beauty pageant concept, and feared it would have a negative impact on their daughter. Natalee used her 'baby of the family' charms to persuade them to letting her sign up.

Backstage, Natalee witnessed other parents giving their daughters tips, fixing fly-away hairs, and even lecturing their kid on some aspect of their appearance. Natalee hung on every word these parents, who were obviously experienced in this field, said. At the end of the night, Natalee won the competition. The feeling of winning was like no other. The thirst for victory had begun.

Natalee's whole life began to revolve around Pageants and Beauty Contests. As she grew older, the pressure for perfection grew as well. Bulimia, anorexia, fad dieting; they all played a role in her life. As did other certain bad and rebellious habits. She loved her life, and wanted to eventually establish herself as a model, or even an actress.

A week before the fog became an imminent danger in the U.S., Natalee was in the finals for the Miss America pageant. She was the favorite to win. She wanted that victory so, so, so bad. Despite her sly sabotage attempts (laxatives, destroyed outfits, stolen money), two other girls had remained popular among the judges and had actual potential for the crown. Natalee was positive that she would win, but it bothered her that the other girls actually could win. The thought of losing devastated her so much, she briefly contemplated staging an accident involving the two other girls. Not one that would be fatal....just maim them a bit......

Unfortunately, the fog settled in, and Natalee never found out who was going to win Miss America. During the large evacuation, she was told to join a group of evacuees on a small plane destined for Washington D.C. Just as the plane was nearing D.C., the engine failed while in flight, and the plane crashed into a field of fog. Natalee was the lone survivor, luckily escaping with mere cuts and bruises. Everyone else had been poisoned by the fog. With nowhere else to go, Natalee decided to continue on towards Washington D.C. by foot, figuring that if the fog didn't affect her, nothing else out there would either.
