Today was the opening of the Lost Isle plot. This was our first chance to see The Journal and The Comic. Our first task is to read the journal of Mad Tongue Murphy, the delirious castaway who was rescued at sea. There are two links on the page, one directing us to the adventure and one to the puzzle.

The adventure button is simply a link to The Plot Comic. The first comic is 4 pages long and tells us about some of the characters and what they're all about. It introduces the main characters as well. The characters are:
• Professor Hugo Fairweather - The Prof. is the one looking for the island, and apparantly has been searching for some time, based on the reactions of the other people in his presentation.
• Roxton A. Colchester - An adventurer, he agrees to join the Professor in the search for the mysterious island.
• Lillian Fairweather - The professors daughter, she is the one who found the Tyrannian "rosetta stone" which allowed her father to translate the journal of Mad Tongue Murphy.
• Captain Rourke - The captain of the SS Primella, he is the only captain crazy enough to make the voyage to the lost island.
• Scrap - A stowaway on the SS Primella, he makes a bad first impression on the Captain, but you're about to help him out! ;)

The puzzle link takes us to a game where we have to help Scrap, the loveable stowaway, put all the equipment on the ship's deck in a neat square. Every person's puzzle is different and it also seems the number of puzzles you get is different. When I did the puzzle, I only had 3, but some people had 4. Here are screenshots from my 2nd and 3rd completed puzzle:

If you'd like to see more screenshots of completed puzzles for inspiration, check out tcnj.edu/~gumprec2/plot.html, a page by nilrem. I also have some Here. If you manage to complete all the puzzles given to you, you get a small reward: an image of Scrap and the Captain. :)

Some tips and info:
• The pieces do not rotate (although lots of us wish they did...) ;) • Place the more complicated peices first, such as the mops and the rope, or the anchor.
• Fill in any extra spaces with the simple pieces, such as the duffle bags and the boxes.
• Don't give up! If you're feeling really frustrated, step away for a moment and then look again. Sometimes that's all it takes. :)

TNT released the Plot's chat board. It can be found here. Other than that, there are no developments in the actual plot or storyline. Be sure to visit the board if you have questions or want to discuss current theories and ideas. I would reccomend finding the OLDPD board. They always have up-to-date information there.

The next chapter of the plot is revealed! We rejoin our heroes in the middle of a terrible storm that eventually washes them up on the island spoken about in the journal.
Read Chapter 2 of The Comic and then head over to the battledome to fight the terrible monster!


To the Battledome!


The monster uses weapons that create water, earth, and physical damage. It seems to favor Snow Mudballs and Illusen's earth potion and it has used Slorg slime as well. I recommend a leaf shield if you have one as that will protect you from the earth and water damage.
You can fight it as many times as you wish. There is no limit. And remember to have fun! :D

First, I want to apologize for the late update. I just graduated from College and had to move out of my apartment all at the same time, so I was really, really busy and couldn't log on to Neopets. But I'm back now, so on to the plot!

Today we see the opening of Chapter 3 of the plot. Also, if you turn the page in the journal to the map, you can see that some of it has been filled in. Other than reading the journal and the comic, however, there isn't anything to do. The battledome has also returned to normal, so fighting the Ravenous Monster is no longer an option while you wait.
