x - - Character Concept

Akki was born many many years ago, as a groundbreaking scientist in the late 1940's. She was severely injured one day in a tragic laboratory accident, when some chemicals were accidentally spilled onto her. After the incident she lived through some interesting 'mutations' that seemed to be a result of the chemical she was working with – large, black wings sprouted from her back, her tail transformed into that of a devil, and horns grew on her head. Akki passed away awhile later, and the same lab that she worked for then performed tests and experiments on her, seeing just what her mutations could do.

To the scientists' surprise, although Akki looked dead, she still had a faint heartbeat, one that could only be heard a few times a minute. The scientists worked hard to try and figure out how to get her out of this apparent coma, but to no avail. Eventually the laboratory was shut down, and a half-dead Akki was left there.

As it stands right now this is a rather morbid story, am I right? Well keep in mind what I said earlier – this story is about rebirth, and things will get brighter, trust me. xD

Akki was found many, many years later, in the year 2000, to be exact. The old laboratory had been set to be demolished, and a worked had gone inside to make sure the place was truly abandoned. It was there that this worker found Akki, and he was more then surprised to see her come to life before his eyes. He called the authorities and after a short stay at the hospital Akki was fit to go home.

She was now left with many many questions though – why was she able to live in that comatose state for so long? Why had she suddenly woken up? What was in that chemical that had spilled on her all those years ago? Akki was now thrown into a new world which she knew nothing of, and was searching for some answers. Her story revolves around this rebirth into a new world and her quest to find out what she really is– a demon.

So there you have it, my little back-story for Akki. She is a demon scientist, and thus cannot die. Demons are also awakened randomly, when they are 'needed', so although poor Akki doesn't know it, she is currently being sought after by the devil himself. Akki is trying to do something good with her life, however - her background in science helped her to easily go back to school to become a doctor.

Personality-wise, Akki is normally a very calm and relaxed girl, and she sometimes seems to be 'spaced out' so to speak. She is rather reserved and it's hard for her to trust anyone easily, although once you get her talking, she's not likely to stop. Underneath it all she's an extremely intelligent girl, with profound thoughts and ideas, but she's often to shy to voice them.

Her physical appearance is rather plain - she's of average height, about 5'5 and average weight, she has long, flowing black hair (with blue streaks in it!) and dark eyes with hints of a steely-blue. As I mentioned her 'mutations' are prominent - her wings, tail, and horns. C;
