You smile at the happy pair, it was almost like they were meant to find each other. It was like seeing a proud father watching over his baby daughter. Which is was Sugar was to Xahloa. How about a muffin? I've got all kinds of flavors! Before you can object he's set it on your plate and refilled your drink. You didn't even notice you'd finished your cookies, looking down at your crumb filled plate. Oh let me get you a clean one, sweetie~! He hovers across the room, placing the dish in the sink and bringing you back a clean one. Out of the corner of your eye you think you see the sponge hover up and start scrubbing the dish. But that couldn't be.. You're about to ask when you notice the pictures hanging on the walls. You see smiling faces and happy pets in each one, give or take a few with a rather sullen looking Ixi. You point, asking about them. Oh that's my family. We're one big happy mash of random characters. You'd swear we were all whipped up from someones wild imagination or something! You think you can faintly hear some crickets chirping outside in the distance. Odd..

We weren't always together though.. we're sort of like Sugar here. We just all seemed to.. find each other. You raise an eyebrow, somewhat confused. What did he mean? Who seemed to find eachother? And I swear I just seen that dish rinse itself off and put itself in the cabinet! I was a lucky one. My owner Mo found me when I was just a tiny little pup. Apparently a kindhearted girl she met while gathering some supplies at the Beauty contest stopped her randomly one day. She was carrying a small bundle wrapped in a blanket and the two hit it off right away discussing the many beautiful neopets entered in the contest. Mo had always wanted a pet who would participate with her and at the time Axoloa was her only pet - good luck getting him in a contest! Mo finally gave in and asked about the small bundle, the girl smiled sweetly and said Give him a good home. Love him and care for him. Confused Mo asked what she meant and the girl showed her.. My owner couldn't believe her eyes when the girl slowly unwrapped a bit of the blanket, revealing a small faerie lupe whose eyes had barely even opened. She says it was love at first sight. That she instantly fell in love with my little paws, tail and wings. He's just adorable! she cooed, pulling a homemade cookie from her bag and offering it to me with the girls permission. It must have made something click in my head because after that first nibble I was hooked. I yipped and licked the girls cheek before she handed me over to Mo.. He swallowed, a lump had formed in his throat and his eyes were sparkling. My owner had given me up because she wanted me to have an amazing life. She seen something in Mo and picked her out of everyone else to be the one to love and nurture me. A small tear trickled down his fur, causing him to smile. I love her for that and even though I was young I'll never forget her. She gave me a chance to have a family who loved me - not that she didn't love me, a chance to make someone else happy, and a chance to some day love and protect Mo and my family. I'll always love her for that. And to this day I'm so thankful she and Mo had crossed paths that day...

He wipes away the fallen tears and hands you a cupcake. I bake out of love and I put love into everything I make because I've had so much love given to me that I was to share.. You can't help but feel touched by the Lupe's story and offer him one of the clean napkins you had been given earlier. He sniffs and nods in thanks, wiping away tears. He sighs and smiles, halfheartedly laughing at himself for being so emotional over it after all these years. He couldn't help it though, his owner made the decision to give him to someone she felt would love and care for him and he was happy she did. He could still remember his memories at such a young age, clinging to those memories of his past owner, forever grateful to her. I'd like to thank her one day.. So I hope we cross paths because I'm so thankful for her decision. It had to be a hard one, I mean, Trying to figure out who to adopt me to and trying to see through them to make sure they were the right choice. I don't know if I could do it. He lovingly smiled down at Sugar who had fallen sleep, curled up at your feet and happily snoring away in her sleep. Xahloa let out another sigh before returning to his happy self, turning on heel, walking over to the cabinet and pulled out some brightly colored boxes. He started lining them up along the table, walking over and picking up one of the cakes that was cooling on the window seal. I'm taking these down to the petpet shop in Neopia Central and then taking some to the money tree. However you're more than welcome to anything you'd like, guest! He started to gather up the beautifully decorated cakes, placing them in the boxes, neatly closing the lids and tying them closed with a pretty ribbon with a bow. You can't help yourself and ask if you could have just a couple more cookies, somehow your stomach wasn't aching from all the sweets. He nods and brings you a couple; one chocolate chip, one in the shape of faerie wings with glitter sprinkles and pink frosting, and another in the shape of a heart with a frosting that swirled up and made the cookie look like it had whipped cream piled on top. They were still warm as he placed them on your place and smelled amazing too!
