Kai's Helpful Tips

Remember, always be smart around Neopets with your secret word, and they way you buy items! Always be on the look out for scams. Say for example, someone says they'll give you an item only if they give you an item first. Ask them to prove that they have said item by putting it up on the trading post, and if they don't or refuse to do so, then they are most likely scamming you! Report! Also, if someone claims to put an item for real cheap in their shop, and their background is black, be sure to highlight the entire page to see the price, for they may be trying to scam you! Always check the Shop Wizard to see if their claim is true, about it being cheap.

If someone asks for your secret word, and/or are pretending to be a Neopets staff member, don't fall for it! They are just wanting to hack your account! Be sure to report them to theneopetsteam. If someone IS a staff member, they will have this message on the bottom of their lookup:

Click and drag to your URL address bar to full view it.
Example from Borovan's userlookup

And NO Neopets staff member will EVER ask for your secret word! If you go to a non-neopets site (always check the url address bar!) that asks for your Neopets login, go BACK to Neopets and do the following:

  1. Don't bother deleting your cookies, because they already have them
  2. Change your secret word. Even if you didn't log in, it could have had a cookie grabber. Consider changing your email as well but do not confirm the change. Consider changing your word a couple of times for a few minutes, but DO NOT use a secret word you already used. This will throw off the CGer.
  3. Report the site to Neopets as soon as possible!
  4. Draw 1 neopoint out of your bank 15 times in a row to lock yourself out of your bank. Withdraw your shop till, if any, and deposit it (if locked out of your bank, you can still deposit). Put all your items in your Safety Deposit Box.
  5. As a rule of thumb, NEVER go to sites that are posted on Neoboards or Neomails. Although, not all of them are dangerous, it is always better to be cautious and safe. Get information about the site first through other people around Neopets, if possible.

If you're going on vacation, and need your pets taken care of, just book them a visit at the Neolodge. Never look for 'babysitters'. They just want your account. Don't even ask a friend to look after your account. Although some friends really are trustworthy, some will not be.

Some try to be smart and get you to post your secret word on the Neoboards or Neomail. They'll say something like:

Hey! Look, the filters make your secret word look like asterisks! ********** See?? It's totally safe to post your words!

This is not true. They will get other people (or use other accounts they made) to "back up" this false fact. Your word will not be posted as asterisks, because everyday words are used for secret words. By the way, make sure you create a secret word combined of a word and lots of numbers and symbols. Or a really hard and difficult vocabulary word that isn't common in everyday speech. This is the same for your pin numbers!! NEVER EVER use your REAL pin numbers and NEVER give them out to ANYONE.

If you're moving one of your pets to one of your side accounts, remember to use the transfer method! This is much safer than transferring through the pound like before this system was set up. This will prevent your pet from getting snatched by poundsitters (people who manually refresh in the pound looking for pets) or poundgrabbers (detailed programs created to grab pets from the pound, which is against the rules).

If you ever need help with something, don't be afraid to go over to the Help Chat, where people will be able to answer your questions! It's always good to read the FAQ page too!

Dragon Eggs!

These dragon eggs are free to adopt, as long as you follow these simple rules:
  1. These are not Neopet adoptables, so there will be no customs. Do not ask me for customs.
  2. Do not remove my signature from the graphics. Also, do not remove the link back to this page.
  3. Do not claim these as your own.
  4. Do not recolor these or draw over these.
  5. You can give your dragon a name, stats, w/e you want!!
  6. I apologize, but due to circumstances, the eggs do not have a transparent background. You are free, however, to edit the eggs so that they do have a transparent background, but that is the only editing that I will alow.

After a certain amount of time, the eggs will hatch. Then, they will grow into adult dragons. There will be sets of five each that I release. You can take as many eggs as you want, and you can even take a hatchling. Have fun with your dragons!

Cyanide Dragon
The Cyanide Dragon species name is a play on words. They are cyan in color, and have very poisonous venom. Cyanide dragons are an elusive species, and don't get very large (the largest known Cyanide grew to be roughly six feet in height). Cyanides are very protective of their eggs and hatchlings, and will do anything to protect their young.

Yellow-Tailed Aquatic Dragon
Yellow-Tails are shy by nature, and would rather run away then fight an enemy. Yellow-Tails are a very loving species, if they are treated with kindness. Yellow-Tails spend most of their time in the water, and are very fast swimmers, capable of swimming at speeds of 80 miles per hour. They are slim and slender, growing to lengths of twelve feet or longer. The largest known Yellow-Tail grew to be a record 27 feet long! Most stop growing when they reach 15 feet, but if the conditions are right, they can continue to grow in length

Lilacs
Lilac Dragons are very plaful and mischievious by nature. They have various magic abilities, and love to fly through the clouds. Lilacs really love attention, so you'd best give it to them! They don't get very large, only roughly four feet in height, with a wing span of eight feet.

Celestial Demon Dragon
Celestial Demon Dragons are the nastiest you can ever come across. They can grow to be 40 feet in height, roughly 1000 pounds, and their tails can be 20 feet in length. They are very powerful and pick fights with anything. They are walking powerhouses, who have the ability to kill. They'll even turn on their own species. It'd be best to avoid these demon dragons if you happen to see one.
