The Lab Rays:

There are two rays in Neopia. The Pet Lab Ray and the Petpet Lab Ray. Both are very useful. The Pet Lab Ray permanently changes your pets' colors, levels, and gender. It's an incredible thing to own yet also incredibly expensive. It can range from 900,000 (900 thousand NP) to 1,000,000 (1 million NP) at times. It used to be much more expensive. This ray is often behind the success of Adoption Agencies. Guilds and users will zap the pets then release them into the pound. Once a day only.

The Petpet Lab Ray, unlike the Pet Ray, does not permanently change the color. If you remove the petpet from the pet, it will change back into it's original phase. Once a day only.

Underwater Fishing:

Underwater fishing. Its name itself is strange. Anyways, on a pets lookup it displays their stats and levels. One of them is underwater fishing. You pet can cast their lines and try for fish, items, and fishing level ups. It's great fun and is actually quite an easy way to make neopoints. You can also get an avatar for catching a Giant Squid.
