Heading into the park on your way home from work, you noticed the increase in seagulls flocking in from the nearby port. Their shrill cries filled the air and you grimaced slightly at their unwanted presence. Irritated, you ambushed a crowd of gulls pecking at a scattering of bread crumbs, sending the group flying into the cloudy sky. |
Click. Click. Turning around, you found yourself face to lens with a camera.
Excuse me, you coughed, trying to capture his attention. Lowering the camera, he blinked.
..Are you talking to me? The young wocky sat up straighter on the wire park bench.
Yes, you. I noticed you were staring at me. Were you taking my picture?
Ah, yes! Sorry about that, brushing a few stray strands of white hair from his face, he rushed, I like to take pictures of people in the park. It's much more normal than it sounds, really! Do you want me to delete them, he added apologetically.
No, no. I don't mind. But if it's all right with you, could I see them?
Sure. They're just a couple quick shots though. Shrugging, he smiled modestly. My name's Wiole, by the way. You can call me Wil.
Oh, I'm guest. You decided to take a seat beside him on the bench. You like photography? What made you interested in it?
Well, if you really want to know...

Wahhh, wahhh.. A infant's voice could be heard across the white blanket that covered the forest. The woodcutter lifted his head at the sound, bewildered by the presence. A child this deep in the woods was unheard of. Dropping the load of branches he carried, he stumbled past thick pine trees in search of the voice.
Because he was found in the Wiole forest while it was snowing, the infant was named after the place of his discovery and celebrated his birthday whenever the first snowflake falls. He is eternally grateful for his parents, an elderly couple, for taking him in and caring for him all these years. With pale white hair and light purple eyes, Wil was considered an oddity growing up in the tiny port city of Watteau. Even in his adolescence, he stood out like a sore thumb. He was short and lanky compared to the other tall and fit boys of his age. Because of this, Wil spent most of his time helping his father out chopping logs, or in his room flipping through art books. At an early age, Wil took an interest in art, especially photography. He loved pouring over the various photobooks his father brought back from his trips to the city. Each photo told a different story, a woman dancing gracefully in a field of flowers or a lone man sitting pensively on the steps of a building. Armed with an old film camera he received on his birthday, Wil set out on the long journey to becoming a professional photographer. Within some time, the town had grown used to their mysterious citizen. Wil didn't question his origins either, he decided the acceptance of his parents was enough for him and left it at that. No one else in Watteau had any idea about the limit to his abilities, the intriguing wings that sprouted from his back, or the way the wind blew when he felt frustrated. They would often find him standing alone in the cold, feeding seagulls along the empty beach. The only clue to his past was the inquiring of a friend. You're a fairy, aren't you? Wil's long time friend, Jiang, was often known for his extensive knowledge on any subject from science to fables. One day he pointed out Wil's similarity with a few mythical creatures, but in the end could not pin-point exactly what Wil was. Wil was grateful for the insight, even if it was just a little, and hoped that in the future he would be able to learn more about these 'fairies'. Later Wil was surprised by the city's openness to his appearance as he was given quite the culture shock when he stepped onto the college grounds to find multiple people with bright colored hair and loud clothing. With two years now under his belt, Wil has fallen in love the city, its vibrant skyline and nostalgic port that reminds him so much of his hometown. |

When asked about Wil's personality, easy to get along with would come first to mind. A natural people-pleaser, Wil enjoys making others happy and would do whatever it takes to cheer you up when you're down. Always smiling, Wil trusts in other people a bit too much, but he makes up for his lack of common sense with honest enthusiasm. Rarely is he ever angry, the limit of his emotional range being slightly annoyed.

Daniel the White Doglefox
As a high school graduation present, Wil's parents gave him a white doglefox. Now a little over two years old, Daniel has grown immensely from the tiny puppy that nipped at Wil's heels to the enormous drooling giant that claims his bed every night.

Nikon D700 or Chloe My current camera! 12.1 megapixel full-frame sensor in such a nice light body. It was a really unnecessary gift from a friend, who I still to this day owe my first born to. To keep my skills sharp, I take pictures everyday of anything that catches my eye. |

My Apartment Even though I've moved in a couple months ago, I still haven't unpacked. I have a couple boxed of cushions and books shoved in the back of my closet.. |
