Q: The minimum someone can donate to the Wishing Well is one Neopoint and the maximum is 99,999 NPs. That means, if someone were to donate each number once a day, it would take 99,999 days to find the Wishing Well avatar, right? :D ~prada_prince.
A: As well as costing quite a bit of Neopoints! If you think that's the way to get this avatar, we suggest getting organised and working together. :)
Editorial: 488
Q: Just out of curiosity: is there any semblance of logic behind the Wishing Well avatar solution, or are we completely overthinking it? ~togepi_forever
A: Nope, and yes.
Editorial: 479
Q: TNT, I have to admit that I am becoming rather suspicious about the Wishing Well avatar. Is it just a Neopoint sink? Does the avatar even have ANYTHING to do with the actual Wishing Well, or is it a red herring like the Bonju one, where everyone was mixing stuff in the wrong place? I THINK IT IS ALL AN ELABORATE HOAX TO GET US TO SPEND OUR NP ON NOTHING!!! Care to respond to this allegation? XD ~plasticrose
A: Oh, it's a Neopoint sink, no denying that. It's a fairly straightforward one, though, with an avatar reward (not much unlike the Lever of DOOM). We really thought you guys would have had it by now. D:
Editorial: 471
Q: Hey TNT, I was wondering if we're allowed to use the Wishing Well on a side account as long as we type in random letters (*cough* or an avatar related phrase *cough*). I'm also wondering if there's any reason we'd need to do that. :) P.S.: I'm totally not trying to get a hint for the avatar. ~thesundimsA: Ahh, you are trying to determine if there is a limit to how many times per day you can effectively donate to the Wishing Well, eh? ;) Sorry, not giving any hints about that one. We will be nice and give you a hint if you keep reading this Editorial, though... :) 'cause we're nice like that. Though completely unrelated to the avatar, please only use the Wishing Well on your main account so we don't think you're up to shenanigans with multiple accounts.
Q: I know you're being, erm, thrown every question possible about the Wishing Well avatar. T_T I have an actual question, though: after three years of figuring out the Chef Bonju avatar, only to find that it's seasonal, can you say whether the Wishing Well avatar is seasonal, too? ~haha_u_think_i_careA: One of these statements is true:
~The Wishing Well avatar is not seasonal.
~To get the avatar, you need to rub your tummy clockwise while patting your head straight up and down with your other hand, and shout, "I am a happy fluffy Cybunny! as you use your nose to enter a sum to donate to the Wishing Well. We suggest using your forehead to guide and click your mouse.
~mr.coconut knows the truth. The answer is...

GOOD NIGHT!
Editorial: 469
Q: Out of curiosity, did you guys take bets on how long it would take us to figure out the Wishing Well avatar? ~swimvixx
A: We guessed about 3-4 months, actually. We suppose it's a good thing we didn't make it any harder than we did, which we were considering, because we're evil like that. /cackle
Editorial: 466
Q: Could you explain that art of "tossing" coins into a well? ~tunapita
A: Step 1: Choose a suitable coin from your pocket. Not too light, not too heavy.
Step 2: Judge the distance and velocity the coin will need to successfully land in the desired space.
Step 2A: If that space is far away, an overhand throw may be necessary.
Step 2B: If that space is close, place the coin on the flat of your fingers and gently toss.
Step 3: Watch with bated breath to see where your coin lands.
Step 4: Visually establish the final landing spot of your coin.
Step 4A: If your aim was successful, fist pump into the air so everyone knows how awesome you are.
Step 4B: If your aim was off, but the coin still landed in the water, search your pocket for another coin.
Step 4C: If you missed the body of water completely, slowly meander around until you locate your coin, then reach down and pretend to tie your shoe while you retrieve it
Step 5: Realise that you still don't have an avatar and write in to the Editorial begging for more hints.

Q: So... in my search for the Wishing Well avatar, I noticed that "Yay for Suckerfish!" was written in the source code. I also noticed that you have mentioned Chaosfish in an Editorial question answer. Plus, if many want to go into detail, the trading card mentions using only water Neopets... are any of these things even related to the avatar? I ask because, if I find one more mention of fish or water, I may go insane! I just need to know if I am even making it anywhere. DX Oh, and then "behind" was in the code and Behind the Mask is from Mystery Island. All in all, Mystery Island seems to have something to do with it as well... or am I just looking WAY into things?
A: o_____O It's a Wishing Well. One normally just... tosses coins into it. We, uhh... really think you're over thinking this one, guys. Like, really really.
Editorial: 462
Q: Dear TNT,
I feel like the Wishing Well avatar has been forgotten. :( Does anybody actually have it yet, and if not, can you give us another hint on how to get it? Please, pretty please! *tosses cupcakes and butterscotch candies at you* Oh, and please take my name out. Thanks! ~username removed
A:If you guys tossed coins into the well nearly as often as you asked for hints, you'd probably have it by now! ;D
Editorial: 454
Q: Has anyone actually gotten the Wishing Well avatar up to this point? I've seen some people claim they have on the boards. Just want this cleared up to dispel any rumours, thanks! :) ~spinkzy
A:Heh, there have been people claiming they've had it since the first day. We say that, when they can display it on the boards or on their account as their active avatar, then you guys should believe it. ;)
Editorial: 450
Q: Has anyone found the Wishing Well avatar yet? I wonder if they're keeping it to themselves. Also, I have a question regarding the avvy: if the avatar requires an item and the first person who figures it out starts hoarding that item to make it inflate, will that be against the rules? :P Delete my username, please! ~username removed A:Just one... but she's the staff mastermind behind the avatar and she had to test it after we released it, so we don't think she counts. ;) She won't even tell the rest of us how to get it. :( Completely hypothetically speaking, if an avatar does require an item, and a (non-staff) person discovers it, it's up to them whether they want to share or hoard the items to make a profit. We suppose it's a perk for discovering it first, like the person who found the Almost Abandonded Attic before anyone else did. *grabs some popcorn and heads to the boards to watch them spring up with titles like "They mentioned the AAA in the Editorial! It must have something to do with the avatar! It's a clue!!!111SHIFT!!ONE!!"*

*waits for people to enter "It's a clue!!!111SHIFT!!ONE!!" as a wish in the well with a Chaosfish in their Inventory*
Editorial: 449
Q:If mr.coconut were to wish for one thing from the Wishing Well, what would it be? ~cacophsms A:I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. What would you wish for mr.coconut?

GOOD NIGHT!
Editorial: 448
Q: Hi, TNT. *hands mr.coconut fan mask* Could you possibly give us a hint for the new Wishing Well avatar? Thanks! ~happy_gilmore1side A: Nope! We checked out the Avatar Chat and we couldn't even find a board with people trying to figure out the avatar. Tsk! We know of one Petpage that is dedicated to solving the mystery, but beyond that we haven't seen the kind of effort going into this that would warrant giving you guys a clue. ;D It seems everyone is content to wait for someone else to cough up the Neopoints to solve this avatar. If that's the case, you'll have a long wait, friends. Buahahaha! Perhaps mr.coconut will be more forthcoming?

GOOD NIGHT!
Or not.
Editorial: 447
Q: Dear TNT, *offers you a sleeping cap with Meepit print for mr.coconut* I was wondering: did you plan to make the Wishing Well avatar the new Bonju? Do you want to see us suffer? *secretly hopes it's the new Bonju* Ow, and could you consider making a schoolboy outfit? My Bori is tired of having to wear a skirt and getting laughed at... ~bringerofjoy
A:Haha! Hopefully this one won't take you guys THAT long to figure out, and we doubt it will. We won't complain about all those shiny Neopoints being tossed in there while you're figuring it out, though. ;D Bori Day is still quite some time away to wait for new clothes, but we'll forward your request. :)
There is also this editorial that most likely is referring to the wishing well av but we cant say for certain.
Editorial: 456
Q: *Screams at top of my lungs* WHHHHYYYYYYYY WHYYY DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE US SUFFER LIKE YOU DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????? *cries* Why did you have to make a new avatar with no explanation on how to get it? D:@@@@@@@ Can't you just like give us one lil tiny hint? PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP?!@@@ IF YOU DONT I WILL BE FORCED TO CALL IN THE MEEPITS!!!!!!!!!! im serious.. me and the meepits go WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY back.. *meep* remove username please? and ps seriously hint or attack of the meepits O^O *pants heavily* ~username removed
A:O_O Uhh... wow. Well, since you feel that strongly about it... we guuuueeeesss we can give you guys a hint. The solution has absolutely nothing to do with items. :) There, enjoy!
And these 3 which arent really hints
Editorial: 511
Q: So, uhh... are you guys adding more and more image jokes to the bottom of the Editorial to avoid answering all the questions about the Wishing Well avatar? ~tajie
A:
We have no idea what you guys are talking about. We OH, LOOK! A PARADE.
What a fun distracting parade! Yay!
Editorial: 506
Q: How many questions did you get asking about the Wishing Well avatar this week? ~doglover1245
A:
Well over fifty. x_X *sobs quietly in corner*
Editorial: 458
Q: You know how people will make their User Lookup appear as though they have the Wishing Well avatar (or another avatar) when they don't actually have it? They use coding of some sort to change it. Is that against Neopets' rules? Please tell me, is it reportable? I know that you may not change your stats, but I see so many people doing this and it puzzles me. Would it be alright if we changed the avatar on our User Lookups to one that doesn't exist (one that we made), just like people do with their shield art? I haven't seen you discuss this anywhere (other than saying not to change your stats, even though shields are your stats as well...), so I am hopelessly confused. *very confused* ~mongaio
A:
Please do not cover your avatar with a false one, whether it's your own art or an existing avatar. The reason we allow shields to be covered with your own art (as long as it's not misleading) is because that information is repeated in text on your UL.

Other Hints
On June 28th Dragona posted '6' as a hint to the wishing well avatar and the Bottled Faerie smilies.

Jellyneo posted, "UPDATE: Yep, it's another Wishing Well Avatar hint. :) We've been trying a bunch of things on our own since we got the clue, but alas, nothing has come about. So, Neopia, have any bright ideas?"

According to that picture above the hint was given June 17th
