Suddenly, his laughter stopped and he sat up calmly. he rested his arms on his knees and he looked down the street. He still felt good but he needed to get home. He wanted to see how his family was doing. He pushed himself off the ground, and continued to walk down the street on the side of it this time.
Eventually he walked by a drug store. Still not knowing where he was, he was tempted to ask for directions, but then his heart dropped as he remembered he was dead. They wouldn't be able to help him. They couldn't even see him or hear him.
He sighed and kicked at the ground.
His good mood was gone and he was suddenly shivering, even though he did not feel cold or even wet.
He walked on, his shoulders hunched. He wondered what his family was doing at that moment. Probably getting ready for bed. His mom was probably staying up to wait for him. She was probably worried for his well being. He needed to get home to ease her worries. He stopped then and shook his head. He was doing it again. When was he going to understand that he was dead!? There was no waiting up for him, just his family crying over his death. He felt horrible again. Suddenly, the scene shifted in front of him. Every thing around him shook until it disappeared and for a second, he was surrounded by blackness. Then things came into focus and he was standing outside the window to his house. He looked inside at his sister, sitting on the ground, blankly staring at the TV screen.
