Take a Closer look...

Chapter 1
The large uni's fly over the vast ocean of Maraqua after a terrible hurricane. They were in search of washed up treasure from sunken ships that got tossed around under the sea. Out of the corner of the female's eye, Ravenlace, she noticed splashing in the water. She nods her head at Sumaem, her brother, and he flies down to investigate the drowning victim. He nudges his nose into the water as he skims over it. The water splashed below him, and he picks up a small blue acara. She continues to flail as he fly's with RavenLace to the nearest shore, Meridell. RavenLace looks over her as she sputters out the rest of the water from her lungs. Sumaem raises an eyebrow.
I thought acaras were aquatic creatures?" He looked at RavenLace. She gives him a grin and rolls her eyes.
They're mammels. They can only hold their breath for a long time. They can't breathe it.

The tiny acara blinks her eyes and looks up at them. Her ears fling back as she backs up.
Oh how cute, she's just a baby!" RavenLace lowers her head and nuzzles the frightened acara. Sumaem sigh's and does the same. The baby acara begins to relax, understanding they aren't a threat. Sumaem sniffs her, and the acara begins to giggle. Ravenlaces' eyes widen as small wing shaped water pools rise from the acaras back.
Sumaem, Look!" RavenLace lifts her head. "She has elemental wings...like us.
Lets take her home." Sumaem replied in a stern tone.
Are you sure?" Ravenlace asked, worried. "It might be dangerous for her...
It will only be dangerous if we tell her what we do, and if we bring her along on our missions.
Ravenlace picks up the acara by the scruff of the neck and places her on the back of Sumaem.
Hold on tight now." Sumaem told the tiny acara. Sumaem and Ravenlace flew off with the acara to their home.

Chapter 2
They fly to a cave over near Darigan Citadel that is hidden by rocks. Darigan Pteris fly over head, screeching. Inside was rather damp and dark. A few candles here and there, and a Darigan Yurble rug covers the floor. They lay the acara on the soft rug, step back, and look at her.
What should we name her?" Sumaem said to Ravenlace, not taking his eyes off the acara that had fallen asleep on the ride over.
Naida" Ravenlace said softly.
Naida?
Yes, it means Water Nymph." "Hrm." Sumaem seemed to like it.

The more Naida grew, the more Ravenlace and Sumaem realised how special she was. She could control her wings at a very young ange, when it took both of them 'til they were ten to undertand how theirs functioned.
They would leave her by herself for many hours, or even days, on end. She would spend that time along playing with her wings, or with the puddles that littered the ground of the cave. More often then not the Uni's would come home to an acara that had come down with the Sneezles. Everytime they would come home, they lavished her with gifts.

She never asked for anything, but they always insisted. Some things she never touched because of how pricey they seemed. A few years passed and their cave seemed to be more like a mansion. But that never went to Naida's head. She played with the first toy they ever gave her, and she saw no use in the sparkly stuff.

Mystem

Mystem is a Hero in my eyes. She has saved many neopians, and even though I don't get to see her much, she always brings a smile to my eyes. She even took me along to make rainbows!

Chesh

He's very mean. He keeps to himself, and awhile ago he had actually left our family to live alone. Ravenlace does go to check on him, but always come back mad. He plays tricks on any passer by, and will lead you into the most dangerous, darkest part of the woods.

Sunny is my best friend. He is a gifted Acara with a painful past. We've been through a lot togeather, and all I would want to ever see is for him to be free. I will always be by his side through the worst, as I know he will be by mine.
