Welcome to nBn Guild! We sure are glad that you have decided to visit! nBn Guild was founded on July 7th, 2001 by Megg as a guild for the popular neopets help site, nothingbutneopets. Megg ran the guild for 9 years, keeping the chickens of the coop engaged, the coop community friendly and loving and always brightening our Sundays with her "Sunday Chicken" Posts. In 2010, Megg stepped down and passed the nBn Torch to Jenny Lynn (jennylynnburger). Our great chicken leaders have made nBn what it is today. Some benefits of the guild include: The nBn Adoption Agency - Have a pet that you want to go to a better home? Put it up for adoption at nBn's Adoption Agency! Avatar Lending - Need one of those pesky pet avatars but you just don't have the neopoints to buy a pink paint brush? Now you can borrow a pink pet-and lots of other pets too!- to get the avatar :) Awesome, friendly members & a kind and caring guild environment! The Chains - At nBn you can see how you stack up in played games, plot stats, avatars, game trophies, and playing time compared to other users! Fae, the Celebration Faerie - Fae Nightfire, the Celebration Faerie, is a Fire Faerie who loves special occasions, especially birthdays. Like all Faeries, Fae is on the secretive side and doesn't like to share much information about herself. She is willing to share a few likes and dislikes. Fae likes Birthdays, Anniversaries, Christmas and other holidays, and wish lists! Fae dislikes, water (don't all Fire Faeries?), too much snow, and people who like to pull wings off of Faeries. Just a reminder to everyone in the Guild, make sure you put your birthday on the Guild calendar, Fae can't get you a present if she doesn't know it's your birthday. All birthday gifts go up on the trading post, and stay up for two weeks, if they aren't claimed in that two weeks, they go back into her safety deposit box for future use. Junk items are all that is required to claim your gift, stuff like jelly, omelettes and fishing hole fishies. Donations are always welcome, either by buying a junk item from her shop (only over priced items in there), or by sending items like birthday cards, birthday cakes and other birthday items. Unfortunately on the Guild calendar, birthdays don't roll over into the new year so make sure you add your birthday at the beginning of the new year so you won't miss out! Linkage - Check out the linkage section at the bottom of this page so you can show off nBn Guild on your petpages, userlookup, shop, gallery, etc :) The White Elephante - If you collect cheap items, such as dung, piles of sludge, fishing items or anything else, get yourself added to our White Elephante page so Guild members can maybe send you over items that they have no need for. faq
Are you new to the nBn Guild? Do you just have a question? Check here first before asking on the board but if you don't see an answer to your question just ask on the Guild board. Thank you! How do I join the Guild? At the moment the Guild is private and you will need an invite to be able to join. You can contact any member of the guild to receive an invite! Guild Board Etiquette When posting on the Guild board there are a few things to remember:
How do I donate? You can make a quick donation of NeoPoints to the nBn Guild by purchasing items from the Celebration Faerie Shop. Alternatively you can make a larger donation or donate items by bidding on a lot by jennylynnburger at the Trading Post with item(s) and/or NeoPoints. We sincerely thank you for your generosity. How do I change my rank? Check the Ranks page for more information. Ranks will usually be checked on the weekend or every second weekend. If your rank has not been updated, please be patient, it will be updated. You will not change rank if you continually post short posts on the board. How do I invite someone to the Guild? You're more than welcome to invite people to the Guild, especially when the Guild is private which happens from time to time. You need to be a "Hatchling" for your rank. If you're an nBn Egg, please feel free to contact one of the Council members and be sure to include the username of the person you would like to invite. Can I advertise my shop, trade, beauty contest entry or post jokes? Yes, you may, as long it's not the sole reason for your post. Please do not post several posts just of jokes. If you would like to post a joke, feel free, just don't make it too long. Spam, spam, evil spam! We here at the nBn Guild despise the word! What is spam you ask? No not the mystery meat in your lunch, spam is: S - Short P - Pointless A - Annoying M - Messages When posting on the message boards at the Guild, please do not post spam messages or you will be warned. Some examples of unacceptable messages are: Hi, what's up I'm bored… are you? I'm just sitting here in front of the computer. Bye! There is no point to this message. OOPS! Sorry about the mistake I made in my previous post! I meant 'their' not 'there'. Okay that's all. There should not be posts correcting your mistakes because all it does is take up more space. Our members are intelligent enough to figure out what you meant. Sometimes, messages just can't be long! It is alright to post an occasional short message, just make sure it does not happen too often. There is no need to apologise for making a short post, as long as you don't make a habit of it. Also, please do not post messages warning other members about spam, for all that does is create more spam. Please leave that job to the Council members. Aloha chickens! My name is Megan, but I'm usually called Megg. Don't ask about the double 'g', I don't even know, hehe. I'm 31 and live in Sydney, Australia. I've lived here for about 12 years now, I'm originally from a small town in the middle of Australia called Alice Springs. If you're from Alice, drop me an email as I would love to hear from you!I've been playing Neopets for over 8 years now and I'm still as addicted as I was on my first day. I found Neopets through a banner ad while I was looking for fonts. I was over in the US at the time on holiday visiting my husband. My first few weeks were pretty intense playing Neopets, I would be up to all hours of the morning restocking Faeries and magic items to sell. I was probably playing Neopets up to 20 hours a day! When I first started playing Mystery Island was being introduced and I remember being so confused?! My current goals are to paint one of my pets as a Royal Boy Grundo. I've been married for 7 years now to Mr B. I have a cat named Knox, but he is often called Jelly or Princess. I enjoy reading - Harry Potter is just awesome. I love music, I can pretty much listen to anything, well except metal, I especially love Goldfinger and Sum 41. I'm thoroughly addicted to the Neopets TCG and have so many cards it's not even funny. My current obsession is the Neopets McDonald's Happy Meal Plushies - gotta get them all! Jesse - breck03 
I go by Jesse, mostly because it's my real name. I'm not particularly a fan of it - I'd go by my middle name, but I like "Ross" even less. I'm 23 now, and have been on NBN for…some time. Probably in excess of 3 weeks. I'm horrible at remembering dates; time is my one true enemy.
I'm from Orleans, Indiana - home of the…well…nothing. I'm 23, and currently residing in Hanover, Indiana and going to college in Madison, Indiana. This year will mark my 5th year as a college student and, as yet, I have no degree. I keep changing my mind on degrees, so I have wads of credits, but no diplomas. I've recently discovered that I'll have an associate's degree in Fine Arts at the end of this term without my intentionally planning for it. While I'm a full-time student, I also do a lot of regional theatre work. I've acted in several shows, directed a few, and edited a few scripts that a playwright friend of mine has had professionally performed. I'd like to be a stage actor for a profession, though a lot of success in that career would be based strictly on luck. I still love LEGOs, and I have a room of my current apartment totally devoted to them. I'm also a total geek when it comes to Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or Power Rangers. As for more adult geekdom, I'm one of the few rabid fans of both Star Trek and Star Wars. I'm also a huge Nintendo fan, and very loyal to the brand - love my Wii! (As you can guess, I'm quite single at the moment.) I have an 11-year old dog named Cagney at home who's a great buddy, and I always miss her here at my apartment. I drive a midnight blue 2007 Solstice and a light blue 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass. In 1998, I had a heart transplant. I was never sick a day in my life before that year-long episode; a fluke virus just settled into my heart and destroyed it. I have to take lots and lots of medications for the rest of my life, but I suppose it's better than the alternative! I do a lot of charity work for organ donation groups now. Hi! My name's Jenny, but you can call me JennyLynn, Jen, Jenny Berry, or whatever you like as long as I know you're talking to me. I am in my late 20s and live in the southern US. I stumbled upon Neopets from a certain website one might go to when they are bored while in my sophomore year of college and I have been playing since then, Sept. 2001. I did take a pretty big hiatus once, but I came back so that's all that's important (and my pets were kept fat and happy the whole time).I think we need to clear something up. First off, I have no particular affinity to hamburgers. A nickname of mine is Jenny Lynn and my brother started calling me Jennylynnburger (or so I thought) and I needed a screen name, so I thought of what my bro calls me and there ya have it. I was talking to him on the phone one day and told him that I used his nickname for me and then I realized that that wasn't what he'd been calling me(for years). See he'd usually say jennylynn burger (with) cheese, well that's what he said in my head, in actuality he'd been saying . . . Jenny Limburger Cheese. He'd been calling me stinky. Typical big brother. And the origin of my name. I live alone with 2 cats, Charcoal and Splenda, both boys. I have a pretty big family, but I live 3+ hours away from them and go home maybe once a month. I love movies, music and reading. I have this weird thing, where I don't like to read the same book more than once, no matter how much I liked it. I have a really good memory though, so I can keep up with conversations with people who have read a book tons of times. I have a petpet obsession and also a plushie obsession that translates in to RL, or perhaps I should say I have loved stuffed animals my whole life and that has overlapped with neo. I just don't have anywhere to put them all, so I try not to buy them in RL anymore. Hmmmmm, maybe that's why I need more on Neopets. Sweet Talula - sweetvixen56 
hi chooks! i'm the talula monster, but you can call me talula. i'm straight from the heart of tennessee, but i left my actual heart in virginia. so i'll end up moving back there after college. i am currently a junior (in college) and my major is political science: pre-law with a minor in english. my second love is poetry, my first love is a guy i call puppy. i also love to read quotes. i have so many favorite books…. right now, i am really into ayn rand. and i won't buy books new, they have to be used. used books have a story, and probably germs too. but it's a trade-off. =)i'm really into international affairs, and do model united nations for fun. (so in addition to calling me talula, you may also address me as dweeber) i love music- dave matthews band will now and always be my all-time favorite.. i'm really into art history, and i love anything art-nouveau. my little sister is my best friend and shares in my affinity for silliness. i love, love, love pearls, dresses, and peppermint mochas. and my tiny miniature schnauzer (i call her mags). i've been playing neopets for forever and i recently just got back into it. i love it! so addicted. and it's such a stress reliever for me. i love kaus, peophins, kacheeks and kaus. =) they are my favorite. i also have a little thing for polarchucks. nbn is like a second home to me, and i love all of the new friends i've made. i love the coop! Heyayayy! I'm Mad Hatter Alyssa Balyssa, the Random Princess of York, but you can just call me Alyssa. I'm the baby of the guild council, hehe. I've been a part of nBn Guild since December 21st, 2004 (that's over 5 years!) I am very friendly and love to help others. On neo, I enjoy lots: restocking, coding, playing Gwyl's Great Escape, customizing my pets. Oh! And chatting at nBn, of course ^^ Off neo I am very busy! That is why sometimes I am absent for long periods of time. I try to get online and say hello to my chookens as often as I can. I like running, drawing, painting, reading, and taking pictures in my spare time. I am also always up for an opportunity to learn something new. I have many pets, including two doggies whom I love very much. If you've ever got a question or need some help, I am always here! I love help out. Everyone in the Guild is an equal in the nBn Guild, regardless of rank. For fun, we do change the rank names for special holidays, people's birthdays or just for the heck of it. Promotions will not be granted to those who beg for them. You're more than welcome to send a friendly reminder to Megg if your rank has not been raised for a while. You will usually be promoted if you're active on the board, friendly and helpful to other members and participate in the Weekly Guild Events. Please remember that your rank will not be upgraded if you continuously post very short messages on the Guild board. If you continually post messages that are less than a few lines in length, it will not be counted to your total post count and you will not be upgraded in rank. We prefer quality messages rather than quantity messages. It's really not hard to post a quality message on the board - tell us what you've done during the day, what you've done on Neopets, your hobbies, read through the current messages on the board and reply to some of the other members. You'll have accumulated more posts than you realised! You will receive a NeoMail from one of the Council Members if you continue to post short messages on the board and may be banned from the Guild for good. nBn Council - For the nBn Guild Council. Chicken - Long-time, friendly and helpful members who post regularly on the board. Little Chick - For those regular posters. You can invite people to the Guild if you choose to. You will be promoted to Chicken once you've reached 100 posts. Hatchling - For those members who are quite active. You will be promoted to Little Chick once you've reached 50 posts.
