Let the rain fall...

I'm coming clean

I saw her cry, I watched as the fire in her eyes slowly died and faded into nothingness and was lost in blackness.

Rain fell upon the mossy terrain, pitter patter, splosh splash, as a solitary figure, her lean body slick and unphased from the cold, raced through the impending darkness. As she neared a steep hill, water rushing down it like a waterfall, she extended her claws to grasp a hold of something--anything--and make her way up. The farther she was from the retched others, the better. Halfway up, now, and her arms growing weak... And then, as a bolt of thunder crashed above-head, she felt her paws give way, and her body slide down the embankment, mud and debris clinging to her rough scales.

A single cry was emitted from her parched lips, her eyes scanning the horizon for any help at all.. The top of the hill was vacant of life, of warm eyes and caring hearts. Birds emitted warning calls from somewhere in the distance, fear found its way into her lovely face. Her breathing became noticeably heavier. And still, her body slid down the hill, that hill that symbolized life or death, the ultimate struggle. Shuffling came from a bush nearby, teal eyes blazing against the moonlight. Please, just leave me alone! she whispered, tears streaming down her already soaked face.

Suddenly, from behind, a form began pushing her forward, upward, and away from the threat. Finding her strength again, with the added help from an unknown source, she began clawing her way back up the hill, twigs stabbing her pads as she went. Small grunting noises could be heard from behind her, from the creature saving her life out of the kindness of its heart. The top of the hill was just in her reach... And then, everything went dark.

And then, I brought her back to life, I rekindled the fire into a blazing flame that soon grew too large for me to tame.

First, she'll take your eyes

Pelt/Markings: If this particular design looks, well, familiar to you, then perhaps you've seen it on such Neopets as the Faerie Grarrl? Well, that's because (and I'll go into a bit of detail later on in the application) this design--though now simpler--once belonged to Loich, the to-be Faerie Grarrl. However, I've customized it, and changed the body posture, etc., to make it more fitting for Tosk. Clearly, the base of Tosk's pelt (which is made of small, tight knit scales) is a bright orange color, followed underneath with a muted orange in the same color palette. Her most vibrant markings are those upon her back--the dazzling pink was meant to draw attention to herself. In her race of Draik, Toph would be considered a lower-class dragon based on body type and elemental abilities, but upper-class based upon colorations. The brighter and more fluorescent the pelt, the higher ranking a Draik will become (again, I'll go more into detail about this later on in the application!). To the left are a few of Tosk's common markings--nearly all of these should be drawn upon her back and tail in each picture (though if some are not shown, they can be on the other side of her body ^_^):

Body Build : By glancing at her reference sheet, you can see that Tosk is short and muscular. Underneath the thick scaly skin of her legs lies tight, lean muscles. However, on her chest she has tight bulky muscles. This is because a Draik's weakest point of their body is their chest, and Tosk's race has been advanced over time to prevent injury to said area. Her neck is long, and so are her legs... Even though she's a small Draikess. You can draw her paws in two ways: She has regular Lupe-like paws; or, she can have her long, sharp claws sheathed giving her paws a naturally clawed look. These claws are the same color as her golden feet.

Tosk's body is also very lean, which is good for swimming and running. Her paws are, after all, thinly webbed between her toes. Her tail is another long feature of her physique, which helps with balance, and, again, water-travel. Tosk's eyes are a teal color, which makes it difficult for her to see in the dark; actually, it's almost impossible. Her snout is a bit stubby, but her sense of smell is impeccable, making up for her lacking eye sight. This is why she sends out Teralixia and Zaphs during the night hours... She's surely get lost! The spikes of cartilage upon her back aren't necessarily important, but instead a trait of her race. She has nine spikes upon her back, and five behind her jaw bone. However, the numbers can change if you'd like them to... But, please, don't go ape-crazy with it XD.

Oddly, Tosk has no ears (that are visible). Not even those funny-looking webbed things that the basic Draik has behind their jaw. She does, however, have horns! Two identical ones on the top of her head. These horns are, in fact, heavy, which is why her neck has bulky muscles--there's a lot to keep upright there! Perhaps one of the strangest things about this pretty little Draikess is the fact that she has no wings. This is not common for her species, which is part of the reason why she lives as a solitary Draik.

Extra : In her race of Draik, there are four types of benders--The first, and most common, are the Earth Benders. Secondly, there are the Water Benders; then, the Wind Benders. And the most regal of Draiks, the ones with the highest ranking, are able to bend the element of fire. However, Tosk can bend none of these--which, well, completed her ranking as outcast. To be remotely classified in her race of Draik, she must bend an element, and poor Tosk does not. Abandoned and disowned by her Tribe, she soon began the transformation to the character she is now.

Pelt Markings: Basically, the markings are the exact same for her Anthro form as they are for her Quad form. Her underbelly is the pale orange, and so are the undersides of her hands. Her fingers (there are, obviously, five on each hand; they do not have finger nails/claws, though.) are the golden color. Her eyes are click and drag to the URL bar for full view!the same color and everything.. She's got the same design in both forms, just a different body build.

Body Build: If you can image a woman (yes, I know, this is a very difficult task), you'll have a fantastic idea of what Tosk resembles. She is extremely toned, especially on her legs, what from all the running and things of the like! Her legs don't quite resemble a human woman to a tee, but are very close. Instead, they have a slight bow to them, and her thighs are a bit farther set forward than her calves. Her feet aren't human feet, but instead resemble her Quad form. Why? Because I can't draw people feet (or hands; heck, I can't draw people at all!). Her face looks nearly identical in her human form as in her Quad form... It's just a little more "human-like"... Still, though, it's similar enough that you'd recognize her either way. Instead of having horns upon her head, she sports a bobby hair cut, which is the same color as her horns. It's higher in the back, and drops at a sharp angle in the front, framing her face. Clearly, she still has a tail, and she has her cartilage spikes upon the base of it... However, on her face she does not have the spikes (you know, those behind her jaw).

EXTRA: Tosk's Anthro form may look very innocent, but don't let her fool you. That is, after all, how she reels in her victims--her physical beauty hides all of her emotional imperfections to the immediate world. Men are so taken by her physique that they overlook who she truly is as a Draikess. Their fault, I suppose. Just keep in mind... She's not as sweet as she looks.

I find pride is saying that I didn't come up with Tosk's character out of thin air. Instead, though, I've worked hard over the months to perfect it, to fix every kink in my design. I've rid myself of things that seem unimportant, and I've added things that just finish everything off. But, how did it all begin?

It all began on Neopound--I was looking through some old forums, and I happened to stumble upon a Neopets image of the Faerie Grarrl (before the conversion; though I spotted it after the conversion). I immediately fell in love, and knew I had to have one. The Neopet simply captured my heart. And so, I drew up her reference, keeping the colorations almost exact to the Neopets image, and simply making it look more feminine. And then, I created Loich. When my friend quit Neopets, and donated over a million neopoints to me, I was almost there. It was in my reach... And then I realized that she wasn't what I wanted. I realized that I didn't want a Faerie Grarrl anymore, because my design didn't look like one... It actually looked like a Draik (thus why I feel a Draikess would fit my character best).

It's been a long time, though, since I've really put forth the effort to put her character down on paper. However, I've continued to add it into my other character's plots, and so I feel this is a role that needs to be filled in once more. I currently have Zaphs and Teralixia just hanging in mid-air, because I don't have their master, their owner, the perfect Neopet to complete my plot. That's where Tosk comes in.

Your lips are so sweet...

Good enough to eat

Unfortunately, Tosk is equipped with very few positive character traits. Years of denial and loneliness have warped her mind into quite the ugly creature--a thing so ugly it makes her outer appearance less attractive. Because, like most say, it's what is on the inside that counts. And, honestly, Tosk doesn't have much on the inside.

Manipulative |:| Secretive |:| Conniving |:| Vain |:| Deluded |:| Malicious |:| Uncompassionate |:| Lustful

one Ah, Tosk is quite the charmer. In fact, she's a natural wiz at reeling in the boys... That is, except the Draik of her tribe, the ones who she truely want to be accepted by. None-the-less, she has smarted up, and easily bends others to her will, to do whatever insane task she asks of them. And in return? Well, let's just say this isn't a win-win situation.

two Tosk is not an open creature, nor an honest creature. Instead, she hides her true feelings and her real initiative. But, when I say "secretive" I more mean in a way of being... Oh, you know those characters who just have a shadow around them? They seem so mysterious, and they seem to be hiding something. Well, you could say that Tosk is hiding more than just one thing.

three This wicked Draikess is always thinking up new ways to bring chaos upon the unsuspecting souls of Haunted Woods. Never is there a moment where she's not bubbling up a new potion or letting an idea stew in her (crazy!) mind.

four Vain. This characteristic is one of (in my opinion) Tosk's greatest flaws. Sure, sure, the list of unfortunate qualities could go on and on, but honestly this is one of the worst. But, it's also rather unfortunate. You would think a Draikess rejected by so many would have extreme self-esteem issues, right? However, Tosk decided to take it in another way--she has decided that she's too good for any man to hold her heart for an eternity. She will, truly, die a lonely creature (...right?).

five The definition of deluded, in short, is deceitful. That sort of hits the nail on the head when it comes to Tosk... She doesn't quite mean to be a tricky and sneaky creature, but she simply acts that way out of self-defense. She lowers her walls for no one.... Except for Teralixia and Zaphs (and of course, that level-headed little bugger named Mask).

six I'm just going to be honest with you... Tosk does not like you. Shoot, there's a good chance she'll even give you the time of day (unless she senses your soul is weak). There are very few people that she actually would defend if need be... And no more than three she would call a friend. Tosk is a very malicious and angry creature, there's no doubt about it. But honestly... Wouldn't you be, too?

seven Trust me, Tosk is not the one you want to go to with your issues. In fact, if you go to her all teary-eyed, she'll probably warp your sadness into a thing she could abuse and then throw aside. She has no compassion for the average Neopet.

eight Though she'll never admit it, Tosk would kill for love, for someone to love her... To care for her as if she actually meant something to them. And though she is closed off to love, she wouldn't mind it in the least.

name: Mask
Species: Gallion
Gender: Male
Brush: Blue (currently white)
relevance: Though, at times, Tosk loathes Mask for his level-headedness and calm persona, she finds that he is a wonderful character to have around. He tries to bring out the best of her, though his attempts have been futile. And, even though he is underappreciated, Mask refuses to leave Tosk, for he knows how very self-destructive she could become without his presence. In essence, Mask is Tosk's bright side. He light and her dark.
general personality: Mask is an extremely level-headed creature, which is amazing if you take into consideration all of the stuff he puts up with from Tosk every day. Because he can speak to Tosk (for he is also a reptile), he serves as a peace-maker. Though Tosk would never admit it, she loves Mask like her own brother.

It started off as a not-so-happy tale, for the murder of one causes the death of many souls.

Dust stirred from the once-still terrain, causing the sun's rays to blur and distort. Golden claws dug to the ground as the body thrashed violently above, her lean and slender legs barely bending from the weight upon her back. A merciless snarl emitted from her pink lips as she flung her body forward, talon-like claws digging into her back from above, and onto the dirt. Immediately, the body--which was once above her, but now lay smothered beneath--went limp as a crack sounded. Still tense, the Draikess flipped herself over to examine her attacker, and was disappointed to find the creature so... meager. Alright, so it was about half her size (which wasn't much, for she was a tiny misses)--yet it had weighed nearly as much as her, surly! Spitting upon her now lifeless opponent, Tosk began to stalk off, her head high and her eyes staring daggers through every creature looking upon her beauty.

Stopping in her tracks suddenly, she listened to an odd sound coming from somewhere behind her. At first, she assumed that the owner to the call was some sort of scavenger bird, and so she brushed it aside. However, the sound soon came again and again and again... And as she listened closely she realized that it sounded very much like a wail of distress. Guilty pleasure filled her teal auds, the prospect of joisting, and the joy it brought her, too much for her to contain. Rounding quickly, she padded back through the dust that was once billowing behind her until she reached the dead body of a... Gallion. Tosk had not taken the time to examine her attacker thoroughly before, for dust stung her auds the longer she stared, and now she was amazed as to what she had killed.

No wonder it was so heavy--a Gallion's body is made of steely muscle, and their fangs are even worse. Wonder dotting her vision, Tosk sniffed the creature before backing away quickly, her lips pierced in a disgusted way. awful. she grumbled, her voice sweet but sharp and vicious. At the sound of her voice, the horrid crying noise started up again. Startled into being reminded why she had returned back to this spot in the first place, Tosk looked around excitedly (even though she should have been worried that there were other Gallion around, for they usually live in small groups). Squinting her auds, which caught the sunlight brilliantly, Tosk focused in upon a small huddling figure behind some bracken. What the...? A wicked grin spread across her maw as the creature winced at her voice. A baby Gallion, ay?

Marching up to the thicket, she dipped her snout in, the sharp thorns scratching against her face as she pulled the infant out of the brambles. She could hear it wail as the tang of metallic blood filled her mouth. Frightened, she relaxed her grip a bit... And then, she scolded herself for being so soft. Growling to herself, she tightened her grip once more (though not enough to break the skin again), and carried the tiny creature away, back to her den… Where she would have a bit of fun before disposing of it. Once she reached her destination, a cave supporting no life but her own cold heart, she dropped the small Gallion, no more than a few weeks old (though not on its mother's milk, for they do not milk their young but instead feed them raw meat from the time they're born). It cried sharply, jumping up and using only three legs to support its body. my mom…, he whispered. Tosk took a step back, startled. She could actually understand such a being. And, suddenly, the fire in her eyes that burned so fiercely suddenly dwindled nothing more than candle flame. How could she kill such a small creature, a creature she could talk to? The loneliness in her heart eased a bit, though she fought it fiercely.

And, as time progressed and that little Gallion grew on her, Vosket could feel her heart soften just a bit, some of the darkness disolved.

She'll say they're her minions

But we all know they're her children.

In a spurt of randomness, Tosk purchased two Lupes. One male, one female. Her goal for them was heck hound, but something inside of her deminished the walls she formed, and soon she grew attatched to one and not the other. Rivalry began and soon death spread across the forest... Ok, not really xD. These two Lupes do despise eachother, however, and could live without. Actually, let me explain their relationship a bit to you, that way you can understand how very complex my characters are (I don't mean for them to be xD!):

Tera and Zaphs are not maties... I wouldn't even discribe them as "friends", intead, they mutually accept the other's company, usually without speaking. When they do converse, though, their topics are mild and unsufficient; breezy. They rarely fight, unless it comes to Tera messing up on one of her "tasks" (which is explained on Teralixia's petpage). They both live to serve Vosket, even though she has never laid down the law that they must obey her--which could lead to her her own downfall. The purpose of having these two Lupes, in case it was not made apparent before, is because Tosk cannot see at night, for her eyes are of a pale blue color. This is to avoid hurting herself at night. Plus, Tosk doesn't like to get out much, what with her jaded past and all. She finds it safer to stay in her den.

Companion: Gar the Gabar
Owner/mistress: Vosket (Tosk)
Job: To deliver messages
Dwelling: Cave with Tosk
Relivance: Tera is fearful of her mistress and submissive to the overly dominant Zaphs. She is a delicate fae with a weak stomach and strong heart. She would never betray Tosk for fear of what would happen to her if she were found out. However, even though she is wary, she is extreamly useful to Tosk, who has a soft spot in her heart for Tera. She is quick and agile, she easily gets from place to place silently and unnoticed, or otherwise unbothered.

Relivance: Zaphs, at first glance, is much stronger and bulkier than his female counterpart. Zaphs is extreamly loyal, and is completely devoted to his master. He does well for her approval. However, Tosk does not have as much love for Zaphs, for she perfers the frail Tera. As his main job, Zaphs delivers messages that are harder to get to the recipient, especially if they are on the other side of Kllah's pack. However, he is overly aggressive and dominant, and if the possibility arose for him to gain ultimate power, he could very possibly take the bait and betray his mistress for what he strives for.

Elementair Ras :: Dutch for Elemental Race

Body Build: Elementair Ras are generally built very well, with bulky muscles and strong legs. They do not grow larger than six feet tall, and usually males are larger than females. Width wise, they're about two feet longer than they are tall. The chest area has the hardest muscles and the thickest skin, as to protect them from the deadly darts of poachers. In fact, the skin of said Draik (made of tiny and tightly knit scales) is very tough, and is difficult to break, even by biting down upon it. Arrows barley pierce through the skin, causing little damage--the main thing that kills a Draik is infection from said wounds... Needles cannot pierce the skin, and so the wounds are hard to close up and protect. Usually, a masking made of grounded herbs is placed on top of said wound to keep it as clean as possible.

All Elementair Ras Draik have a few cartilage spikes on their body, usually behind the jaw and at the base of the tail. Male's also have spikes from the base of the head to the end of their back. Their snouts are long, with extremely good noses, which make up for a lacking eyesight. Their tails are extremely long, which helps with balance and flying. They are also extraordinary swimmers, for their paws are slightly webbed between their toes, and because their back legs are strong enough to tread through water fluently. Their legs are, in fact, rather long, which makes them great runners as well. Elementair Ras Draik have three-toed paws, with retractable claws that match the scale color of said paw.

Not only that, but Elementair Ras Draik are equipped with a pair of wings, which may be smaller in size, but are strong enough to support the Draik for about ten minutes in air (sometimes shorter, sometimes longer depending on atmospheric conditions). Draik without wings are usually outcast, or are killed at birth. The inside of their wings is a thin layer of that rough, scaly skin found on their bodies--though is always a different color from their base pelt (usually two toned). And, finally, the horns upon their heads (which is why their necks are so muscular; the mass of bone upon it is very large) symbolize dominance. The bigger the horns, the more powerful a Draik may become in a Tribe.

Color Patterns: The patterns to which Elementair Ras Draiks can come in vary greatly--any variation of colors are possible, though these colors do tie into which elemental ability they possess. For example, Draik with Earth abilities (such as in the image above) will have earthy colors, such as greens, browns, and pale reds. However, the brighter the colors, the more fluorescent they are, the more dominant, powerful, and respected a Draik is. There are a few general markings that you can expect to see on each Elementair Ras you encounter :

one. There will always be markings upon their back, and their wings will be said color. The length of these back markings vary--they can extend from the top of the head to the end of the tail, from the nose to the base of the tail, etc. However, the back markings will always touch the snout in some way, even if it does not cover the entire head.

two The paws will always have markings upon them, even if the odd coloration barely graces the bottom of the paw before the paw pads begin (paw pads vary in color, they can be black-light pink with white spots). Not every paw has to have coloration upon it (Tosk does, however; but, the Draik above does not), though at least one must (two is common). The more paws colored, the more appealing the Draik will be.

lolololol. Click and drag to the URL bar for full viewthree Horns are always a solid color, and tie into the basic color of the pelt. The colors can vary from Gold to Burgundy and everything in between.

four Wings: As stated before, the wings are going to be the same color as the markings upon the back of the Elementair Ras Draik. Wings are usually two-toned, with a darker shade of the base color near the actually appendage, and then a noticeably lighter color farther away.

five The spikes of cartilage/spikes upon a male Draik's back can vary greatly in style and color. It is rare for a Draik to be born with more than two colors upon their spikes, and spectacular--not to mention nearly impossible--for them to have more than three.

six The eyes of a Elementair Ras Draik can be any color in the rainbow (except for purple). Usually, though, their iris' are red, orange, or yellow (or a mix of the three). The lighter the eyes are, though, the harder it is for a Draik to see at night, putting them at a higher risk of being ambushed if they decide to venture out in the dark.

General Information: There is much to know about this particular Race of Draik, for they are extremely coveted and specific. They rarely let in outsiders, as to prevent birthing a malfunctioned brood. Only Draik with specific characteristics and qualities that are desirable and would better their race in the long run are permitted to enter their world.

Pecking order~ Elementair Ras have a specific pecking order, which is dependent on age, color, elemental abilities, and gender. First, we'll start with age--it is very rare for a Draik to live past a certain age, for usually they sustain many injuries in their lifetime. The expectancy of an Elementair Ras Draik is around six hundred years, and after that they are considered elders. Elders, no matter what their color or elemental power, are treated with the utmost respect, and live lavish lives until they die around the ripe age of one thousand years.

Color--Though this ties in a lot with elemental abilities... The color of a Draik's pelt is very important in their tight-knit society. The brighter and more fluorescent the color, the more respected a Draik is, and then comes the more important jobs. Jobs consist of hunting for the Tribe, scouting the area for dangers, and sending messages out to whoever they are supposed to go to. However, because Draik with higher-worth powers are usually brighter, this mind-set of the Elementair Ras Draik seems to be a bit flawed... As if they do not want those of lower status to rise up.

Elemental Abilities--Earth, water, wind, and fire are the four categories of elements a Draik can possess (they never possess more than one), fire being the best of the best. Fire Draik are usually more coveted and protected, and if fighting turns to war they are camouflaged and hidden within the mass (for usually, the Elementair Ras Draik do not fight other Tribes, but instead other species of Neopet/other races of Draik), or they are not permitted to fight at all. Earth and water Draik are usually put on the starting line, followed by wind Draik.

Gender--Because of their slightly old thinking ways, Elementair Ras Draik put males before females, unless a fae is a fire/wind Draik.

Temperament--Elementair Ras Draik are extremely loyal and devoted Draik, who will serve their Tribe until death. In general, though, they are very laid-back. However, they are determined, and will get their tasks done with lighting speed, which is what keeps the Tribes alive. When enraged, they will use their elements freely, occasionally causing massive burns, whip lash, lacerations, or bruises... Rarely death, but it has been recorded. However, they will only use their element if they feel they need to. Otherwise, they feel as if they should settle things in a calm way... Well, if anything a way that doesn't involve blowing fire at fellow denmate.

Renay, Tosk's motherPairing and Birthing--Elementair Ras usually pair with Draik of their elemental type. Such as, an earth male will most likely chose an earth female. And, if a fae does not like her suitors, then she may decline all of them. On rare occasion, a Male and Female with different elements will pair (such as Earth and Fire), and can cause birth defects (such as a lack of wings) or fantastic colorations. When Draik pair up, they will be together for life. If one dies, then usually the other will not pick another partner (unless they were a fire pair). Occasionally, Draik will attempt access into a Tribe, and are then allowed to only pair with fire Draik (unless they beg for it to be otherwise).

Usually, a female will birth two or three litters in her entire life, and will take care of her youth until they are around one hundred-two hundred years old (depending on the health and growth of the kits through that duration), and are big enough to defend for themselves. Kit are born in litters of about two or three, and if there are more than the excess will go to another fae to be cared for (seeing how they do not nurse their young, but instead regurgitate meat for them--like wolves, except there is no milking stage). Kits are born with tiny, stubby wings upon their backs, and their spikes rounded out but distinguishable. They are cared for in dark underground tunnels dug by the male in a pair, or they will reside in a cave found by the pair (usually, though, earth Draiks will enjoy living underneath the ground, and wind in caves, etc.).

They usually aren't shown to outside Draik until they are about five years old, which is when they are just barely old enough to walk around and see everything perfectly (for their eyes start off a clear blue, and they are blind until around the age of two). Their skin is very soft, almost like bare human skin, until it hardens and forms scales after about a year. Once the kits are around the age of two hundred, they are free to leave the Tribe, or stay where they are. Most of the time, they will not venture away from their family, for there is a good chance that they will be ambushed by poachers if they do so. And, seeing how their skin hardens with age, it would be easier for a young Draik to be killed off than an older one.

Habitat and Diet: Generally, Elementair Ras Draik will be found on open fields and densly forested areas. Usually, they'll be within flying distance of a river (some kind of water fall is also a bonus). They'll live in places where the weather is fair, with warm summers and cool winters. These Draik shead during the fall. They are completely carnivorous, meaning that they eat meat, and only meat. Generally, because they are small Draik, they feed off of rodents and small game, such as Nutik and snowbunnies. However, when hunting for the group, they'll occasionally eat Uni and things of that nature... Otherwise, they leave the rest of the Neopets in peace. They will not will not eat anything like a Lupe or Bori!

She has a collection

of beautiful things, wicked things

This is Tosk's list of herbs that she uses, plus a few extra things. Why does she have this? She has this to make her potions, which she trades/sells for other potions/herbs/or neopoints. She never asks why someone wants a specific plant... She just makes it. However, to make sure her potions work, she'll test them out... On what? You don't want to know. please note: I've used the names of poisenous plants, but some of the information about them is fictional/the mixing won't actually give you something like what I list. Let's just say that these are the Neopet form of real-life poisenous plants. The effects are exact, though (':

Hyacinth - Toxic part is the bulb; if eaten in a large enough dosage, this plant can be fatal. To use, take the bulb of the plant and mix it up into a pulp. Mix with honey to add flavor that will mask out the poisenous twang of the plant. You'll know it's worked if the reciever vomits multiple times.

Oleander - Toxic part is the leaves; give in large doses, for small doses can easily be vomited up. Pound into a pulp, apply to open wound (that way it will go into the blood stream immediatly). Wait for two hours for affects to take place--heart will fail eventually.

Rosary Pea - toxic part is everything!; Slip into food, one seed will cause death within the hour. Hard to find plant, mostly found in the swampy areas south of the cave.

Foxglove - toxic part is the leaves; wrap around small dosage of Oleander, then pound and smother with honey. Smells and looks like a sweet deserte (dye leaves are blue). Causes irregular heart-beat. If in large enough dosage can be fatal.

Rhubarb - toxic part is the leaf blade; smash and cook over and open flame in honey and water. Cook for two hours before setting aside to cool off. Add drops salt when cooled; foaming should be seen immediatly. Small dosage will prove fatal.

Yew - toxic part is the berries and foilage; the foilage is more toxic than the berries. crush and mix with food; no signs before death.

There are many, many more... This is just a list found around her cave somewhere. To cook the plants that must be, Tosk has a black pot (no one is quite sure how she attained such a thing, but it's very large), which she puts on top of an open fire.

Revenge is what she dreams

Insanity is how it seems

CHAPTER ONE
A mockery is born

Moon dappled the forest floor, lightning bugs danced merrily in the midnight sky, their light brilliant and beautiful. A large river could be heard tumbling around not more than a hundred yards away, and farther down a water fall dropped down to lower ground, to this ground. Behind the curtain of water that fell so fluently hid a beautiful creature, her silvery pelt browned at the bottom from lying upon the earth; her entire body, which was bulging at the side but otherwise tiny, wrapped tight in a ball to stay upon the moss underneath. Birds cawed suddenly from the other side of the curtain, the moonlight shining through onto the cave floor. Her light blue eyes searched to no avail; she was practically blind in such conditions. Her light blue horns jutted high in the air, her neck straining to focus her vision. From her pale body and her light markings, it was clear she was a water Draik. Suddenly, the drapery of the waterfall parted in the middle, the Draikess not lifting a delicate claw to complete this amazing feat. A warm smile, a knowing smile, slowly found her face as another form reached her vision, his colors blazing against the blackness. His clean cut shoulder blades jutted up as he quickly paced his way to the den, past the waterfall, with something edible in his jaws. His eyes shone fantastic gold against his dark red body, his burgundy horns large and dominant—a fire Draik.

The two of them shared a silent, knowing glance as he dropped the limp body of a pearly white Snowbunny at her dainty paws, her bone structure apparent in her petite form. Not long now, she was sure. Unease wafted off of the male's body in waves, his wings hugging his body intimately as he burned a path in the stony cave floor from all his pacing. Calm yourself, love., she whispered, her voice soft and sweet, her small blue wings fluttering as to catch his gaze. When he looked at her, fear dancing in his auds, she gave up her mission and poked the Snowbunny with her snout unsure. She needed food, she knew for her stomach growled from indignation, yet she wasn't hungry. Something from inside kicked, as if it could read her mind. Jumping a bit, a startled smile upon her face, she snatched the prey up in her small jaw and ripped it apart slowly, eating against her own will. Licking her lips, she pushed the remains away with a look of disgust upon her face. Not long now. The male walked up to her and stood in front of her, his body towering above hers by a good two feet as he looked down upon her calm form. Giving her a quick look over, he smiled and closed his eyes, bending down his head to lick her on her nose. You look beautiful, he whispered, feeling lucky to have such a beautiful Draikess as his partner. I love you so much, Renay. She smiled an honest smile, one that thanked him silently for his compliments. But, she knew he loved her, so why did he feel he must reassure her? Sighing loudly, she beckoned for him to leave the den. It was time. He left quickly, not looking back and keeping his tail low. And then, not but minutes later, she was born.

Three kits were born in Renay's first litter—two boys and a girl. Only three kits… She could keep all of them with ease. However, there was something strange about her beautiful little baby girl—well, actually, there were many things rather odd about her. Like any Draikess mother, Renay could only hope that her kits would come into the world normal… But not Tosk. Fear had gripped her lungs and stopped her heart as she realized that this BY AWElittle girl was born without wings. When her partner had returned to the den, he had looked away, ashamed, as he saw his baby… She wasn't normal, and normal wasn't accepted. Renay knew what happened to deformed kits—they were disposed of. But no, not her baby! Perhaps, just maybe, Tosk's unnaturally beautiful pelt would save her life. Immediately, Renay favored her only girl, for she was like a piece of sweet candy, and it's the only one left. Her pelt was like nothing she had ever seen before: beautiful pink dotted her back, while the base of her body was a beautiful orange. Her horns, though only tiny stubs, looked to be growing in beautifully... She was amazing. And, best of all, she was blessed with multi-colored spikes—a rarity among her race. From the beginning, she was promised to be troublesome. When she was birthed, Vosket had immediately tried to kill one of her brothers by gripping his nose in her mouth and emitting a fierce snarl, her tiny, sharp fangs piercing his skin. Renay had quickly separated the two of them, watching the baby boy tentatively as he rested peacefully.

Tosk was a small girl, but she was the fiercest of all. When they were five years old, and their eyes had began to change into their permanent color, she had attacked both of her brothers at nearly the same time. She nipped one upon the small of his back, and then the other around his neck. They had both whined and bled a bit, but had quickly recovered. As the years went on, though, Tosk soon began to attack them more frequently, more viciously. And, though Renay knew that she should dispose of such a vicious creature, she couldn't get over her beautiful looks—she couldn't help but envy her child, and view her as a prize, as a trophy. Her love, Contor, simply watched from the sidelines as his children grew up, only showing affection towards her whenever he could. Silently, for she knew she was privileged to be partnered with a fire Draik, Renay resented Contor for not loving his kits as he loved her. And so, her bonds only grew stronger with her children. She loved her boys, but Tosk demanded so much attention that naturally she grew more attached to her. However, her wild ways were a problem, and Tosk began to fear that her daughter would never be accepted into their tribe. Maybe, just maybe, she could hide her away for forever. Perhaps she could pretend she had only had her two boys, who were both water Draik. Tosk could be her dirty little secret.

The years passed quickly by, and before Renay realized it, it was time for her children to branch out into the world. it was time. Tosk was, expectantly, the first one out of the den. As Renay parted the water fall, and used the river as steps to lead her children down to the grassy embankment, her daughter leaped out onto the steps, and bound down towards the grass at an alarming speed. Just as Renay thought her daughter would surely hurt herself, Tosk jumped up and landed upon her golden paws, her legs shaking just slightly from excitement. However, to Renay's worry, she was not in the least nervous or frightened by these new surroundings. Her two brothers followed more slowly, whimpering as they touched the watery steps. By the time they had reached the grass, both of their small bodies huddled together for support, Tosk was gone. Renay leaped to her pearly paws and jumped over her boys as she raced ahead to find her kit. Thrashing through the underbrush, she felt twigs snap against her rock-hard scales. Ignoring the fact that there was dirt inside of her claws, she bound into camp. Looking around wildly, she slunk down in horror at the site before her—Tosk was snapping and snarling in the middle of at least half of the tribe, her orange and pink tail lashing back and forth, to and fro. Part of Renay wanted to go back to camp and hide… She could only imagine how they would view her if they knew she'd birthed such an unacceptable creature, let alone kept it alive.

Suddenly, one of the males stepped forward, his claws kneading the earth. He was going to do what should have been done long ago. Frozen where she stood, Renay could only whimper as she watched her daughter held down by one of the younger fae's, her frown undeniable. A thumping noise came from the side of her. Turning her head quickly, with a bit of a jump, she noticed her two boys sitting beside her, a look of shock upon their faces from being dropped so hard. Then, they'd forgotten about their confusion and began romping with each other, their laughs ringing through the otherwise still forest. Back away from my kit, Nebul, Contor snapped, his voice sharp, his words precise and dominant. He was going to save her daughter. The male looked at her partner with astonishment upon his face, the female released Tosk. I told you when you took that water Draikess as your other that nothing good could come out of it, Nebul whispered sharply, his voice worried and angry at the same time. Indignation coursed through Renay's blood stream, though she stayed silent, licking her pups briskly and huddling them close to her body.

CHAPTER TWO
in the Eyes of the beholder

Clearly, from the beginning Tosk was not easily accepted by her tribe. Because of her mother's lack of ability to save her from the deathly fangs of her elders, her father Contor had stepped in and had began taking care of the three pups. Renay had gone into a depression since that day, both from her own failure and the fact she couldn't keep her daughter from being seen by the rest of the world. She was meant to be seen, yet Renay couldn't easily accept such a retched idea. And so, Contor, the father who had nearly disowned the three pups when they were born, was now their primary care-giver. He taught them many things that their mother would not have, such as how to hunt small game and how to start a fire without using an element (seeing how it was clear that both of the boys were water Draik). He had, however, taken Tosk to the side a few days one week and had taught her how to light a fire with the fire element perfectly. Though she had shown no progressions in her elemental abilities—both her brothers were already pushing water in the river with their minds, though their results were minuscule—he was sure that she was simply a late bloomer. What, with her beautiful pelt she was sure to be a fire Draik… Just like dad. And, though he felt pride for his daughter, Tosk had taken a back burner in the life of her family. Or, more so, she had done her best to separate herself from them. She rarely conversed with her mother, and only batted at her brothers. Her father was the only one she spoke openly to. Yet, his love still was not enough.

As she reached adolescence, Tosk began to watch particular males in her tribe. All of them were beautiful, amazing upper-class Draik. One was wind, and the other fire. She would have nothing to do with earth, for they were so lowly, and she resented all of water because of her mother. Yet, she was continuously rejected… But why? Her mother had told her when she was very young that it was what was on the inside that counted, not the outside. She had said, baby, you're not worse than those uptight Draik out there simply because you have no wings. You're going to be a name someday, don't you worry. Though Tosk had believed her moronic mother at first, with each denial of partnership she had spat in her face, over time she began to doubt her logic. She was different—she was hated. They all thought she was an idiot, but she could see how they looked at her. What, with their side glances of disapproval, the way their muttering ceased when she entered their presence. The way no one would ever have much to do with her, she knew that this wasn't right. And so, because of her hurt, Tosk began to act out like she had when she was a pup. The first outbreak of rage from her was when she was confronted for eating before an elder had had the chance to do so at the age of seventy years (she would be ready to leave her parent's care at around the age of one-hundred-and-fifty). She quickly recoiled and had lashed out against her offender, chasing the Draik off as she nipped it's long tail.

Soon, she became a nuisance. Not only was she odd and unfortunate, but now she was attacking more mature Draiks at random intervals. This would not be accepted. And, finally, they confronted Contor about his acting-out daughter. Thank you for giving us two healthy males, two wonderful water Draik to expand our tribe, started Nebul, an uneasy smile upon his wide face. Contor knew what was coming already, and it bothered him they were covering up their initiative with compliments. However, we feel as if your daughter has become an issue for the tribe, he paused and coughed, and then suddenly he looked as if he had regained the confidence he'd had when he'd been making his way. Either you correct her, or we'll have to get her far away from us. Plus, you and I both know she cannot partner… We can't continue on her faulty bloodline. he continued, a look of sorrow in his auds. This was hard for any parent to hear. Contor nodded his head in acceptance, and walked around the older male, to watch his daughter. For the first time in a long time, she was actually talking to her mother, but why? Upon closer inspection, he realized that Renay was cowering on the ground as Tosk hovered over her, her fangs glittering in the sunlight. Lifting a paw, the younger female smashed it down upon the other's head, which was luckily protected by horns, before Contor could react. With a start, he raced over to her, nailing his own daughter in her side, knocking the breath out of her. Stumbling forward, Tosk quickly regained her breath. That is it, with these three simple words spoken, Contor stalked off, both of his sons, her brothers, staring back and forth between the two of them, astonished. Quickly racing over, they supported their mother between their strong shoulders, and walked her off as she held her head low, clearly bruised. On the inside and out, no doubt.

Two more weeks passed before Contor made his final decision—she had done enough to harm their tribe than help it. But more so, as a father it pained him to know his daughter had no life here and that she would never leave if she was not forced to go. To add to his grief, she had been proven to not poses an elemental ability. She was of no use to the tribe. Sending the larger son to deliver his painful message to Nebul, he sat in the dark of his den beside his love, who he had not spent time with in many moons now. Stroking her shoulder with his tongue, he silently apologized for leaving her so alone. He still loved her, even if she wasn't fit to be a mother. He was still her partner, her his, and he couldn't let her go. Outside the den, moonlight shone vaguely behind thick thunder clouds. It was time. Surrounded, Tosk stood defiantly, her fangs bared. She seemed brave, but her eyes betrayed the fear that made it hard to breathe. If she'd been born with wings, she would have fluttered them around dangerously. If she had been birthed with an element, it would be brilliant flame which ejected from her maw, not air. You must leave here, Vosket! We want you no longer! the female who had held her down when she was a pup cried out, this time a wicked smile upon her face. She had grown to hate the blasted pup, and couldn't wait to see her go. Without warning, one male jumped forward, his yellow eyes so familiar. Her brother. You are a disgrace! he shouted, motioning for everyone to follow his lead. They did.

The only sound she could hear was her own heart beating wildly in her chest, and her paws thumping against the ground as she pounded through the night forest, a cape of black covering the moon. Thunder sounded, and soon rain was upon the land. Lightening highlighted the sky, and struck something to make a loud crashing noise. Why was this happening?! For the first time in her life, Tosk was truly scared for her life. She had not expected them to attack her so viciously… She had only ever wanted their acceptance. No. She didn't care what they thought of her; they could all go to heck. Her breath heavy, Tosk spotted out The Hill as another flash of lighting cut through the sky. Leaping upon its base, she began clawing her way upward, and away, from them. Birds cawed, and she cried out, fearful. They were still behind her! Why couldn't they just leave her be? She was leaving, wasn't she? Isn't that what they wanted? Please, just leave me alone! she cried over her shoulder as she lost her grip upon the slick terrain and began sliding down the hill. She was so close. Looking behind her, she muffled a scream as a set of yellow eyes burned through her. Just as she was about to give up, something from behind pushed her farther and farther up The Hill. As she reached the top, moonlight blinded her eyes and the rain settled down. And then, everything went black.

CHAPTER THREE
The masked marauder

When Vosket woke from her sleep, her sense of time was thrown off greatly. How long had she been asleep? It had felt like days, but something told her it had only been hours. Or maybe just long enough for her to get to wherever she was. Where was she?! The Tale of AlademuerteJumping to her paws frantically, she looked around. Wherever she was, it was warm and comfortable—like nothing she'd ever seen before. Yellow-lighted lamps sat perched upon pieces of furniture. Curtains hung limp over the window, perhaps the only window in the entire house. Everything felt a bit stuffy, perhaps uncomfortably warm. The floor, however, was flattened dirt, with rugs dotting the terrain here and there. Small doorways seemed to form a burier from one room to the other. Walking, unsure, through the door frame and into the living room, Tosk emitted a small crying-like noise to alert whoever had… had saved her that she was awake. The scent of something dirty soon entered her nostrils, causing her to sneeze. When she recovered and opened her eyes once more, an odd creature stood before her. Backing away a few slow paces, Tosk lowered her tail a bit, as to not enrage the creature. It's not that she was ugly, for in fact she was a very beautiful creature—like herself. However, she was simply strange. Upon her face sat a mask made of bone, as with her back. Her claws were long and sharp… Deadly, even. She was a bit stubby, though she was very lean.

What are you staring at? she snapped, her voice tainted with anger and bitterness. Not only that, but her voice was lovely, if only it wasn't coated with so much rage. I was… nothing. Tosk snapped, suddenly finding her voice once more. Standing up straight once more, she lashed her tail back and forth, daring the creature to leap at her. Because of its shorter legs, Tosk figured she could take it. For the first time, the Bori seemed to be pleased. A wicked smile crept upon her face underneath the mask. There's a girl. Now, eat, eat! she beckoned, a bit more content this time around. Before Tosk could answer, a look of wonder upon her face, the Bori darted out of the room. She was quickly back, though, and with food this time. To her relief, it was something familiar—a brown snowbunny. Licking her lips, for she hadn't eaten for quite a while now, she snapped it away from the Bori, her jaws clicking together loudly. She devoured the creature quickly, trusting the Bori not to attack her while her head was down. Once done, she pushed the remains away, a look of disgust upon her face. She'd always had a problem with looking at what was left of her meal. That's all you get. You have to learn to get more. the Bori suddenly snapped, catching Tosk's gaze with her blood-red gaze. You will call me Sendate. Do not shorten it, do not change it into some inappropriate nickname. Sendate. sen-date she repeated, treating Tosk as if she were some sort of infant.

Get up, we have things to do—things to make, Sendate ordered, her short legs carrying her briskly through her dwelling. Looking at her in her habitat, it almost seemed odd—Sendate looked like one to live in some sort of odd place, some sort of evil place. Even the waterfall cave she'd grown up in would have been better suited for such a creature. Feeling unsure about her presence, but reminding herself that Sendate had, in fact, saved her life, Tosk got to her paws and began following Sendate. They were soon out of the small house and running up a steep, wide hill into something like a cave, except underground. Fear grasped at Tosk's heart as Sendate disappeared into the tunnel, leaving her in the dark. Taking a deep breath, and scolding herself for being fearful, she dipped her head down low, laid upon her stomach, and began crawling after Sendate. She could feel her scales scrape against the tunnel wall, though it did not hurt. Luckily, there were dim lamps on the side of the tunnel (for it was wider than it was tall) that made it easy to crawl through it without losing Sendate. After what seemed like a million twists and turns, they came out into a strange place. Firstly, they were still underground. Dirt walls rose high up in the air—at least seventeen foot. Moonlight dappled upon Sendate and Tosk's backs through a dip in the top, which surely kept the place from smelling like death. The sound of a trickling stream could be heard a bit off… How odd, an underground stream. Looking around, Tosk realized where they were—a graveyard. An underground graveyard.

Sendate's voice snapped Tosk out of the trance she had wandered into, You see those plants over there—the pink ones? Get those… About three of them. For the first time, Tosk realized that the Bori had plants in her mouth, clamped tight. Following Sendate with her eyes, Tosk was even more amazed to see the setup her savoir—and captor—had. A black pot sat atop some sort of metal contraption, flaming logs underneath. A bubbling liquid sat inside, popping here and there. Putting herself back in focus, Tosk ran up to the plant she thought Sendate had motioned to, and picked three of the stalks, the twang of onion filling her maw. Awful. Making her way slowly over to Sendate, she dropped the plants a bit away from her feet, as to not completely give into the misses' will. Sendate gave her an evil glare before snatching the plant up and grinding on them in her maw. A shiver shot down Tosk's spine—surely that had to be disgusting! Repulsed, yet gaining a small dose of respect for the Bori, she sat down. Sendate spat the contents of her mouth into the pot, and immediately a flame burst into life on the liquid's surface, dancing about like happy children. Oh, stand up, we're not done here yet.

CHAPTER FOUR
Loss and gain

Under the fluorescent moonlight which filtered through the gaping hole in the underground graveyard, Sendate taught Tosk everything she knew. From every herb and plant to the rarest of berries on the tallest of trees, to making potions that will kill in an instant. For many months, they grew very close… Closer than the young Draikess had ever been with anyone from her past—a past which she chose to speak about or remember. Everything seemed to finally be working out for Tosk, and even Sendate minded not her decision to help the young Draikess. Sendate had been watching Vosket from afar for many moons, and had watched in glee as the young lady grew spiteful and jaded towards her family and friends (those she had, anyway). And then, it just so happened, she was banished one stormy night as the Bori was nearly ready to head back to her underground dwelling. The attack had been horrible… Any weaker creature, including herself, would have died from such blows. But no, Tosk ran away unscathed. Sendate should have known then, and in the back of her mind she did, that this little Draik was not one that she should mess with. And yet, she was stupid enough to fall for her tricks.

Nearly two years had gone by before Tosk began to show her true colors. Once she had learned everything she needed to know—potions too complicated to learn in just a few easy months—she started to test them upon subjects, such as fish or bunnies. Sendate quickly reprimanded such an act, for even she would not torture living creatures for her own amusement. And soon, the creature that she had worked so hard to save became something that she couldn't tame. At one point, as Sendate began to realize how horrid Vosket really was, she had mumbled, I saw her cry, I watched as the fire in her eyes slowly died and faded into nothingness and was lost in blackness. And then she sighed under her breath,And then, I brought her back to life, I rekindled the fire into a blazing flame that soon grew too large for me to tame. Before long, the Tosk that Sendate had known was gone, and was replaced with an unnaturally spiteful and jaded creature. it was time.

FISH!I can't do this anymore. Sendate mumbled under her breath, as if she were stating something ordinary. Tosk didn't raise her head, but instead continued to stare at whatever it was on the ground she'd been gazing at for the past ten minutes or so. After she had spoken, Sendate began eating her meat again, pretending as if nothing had happened. What seemed like forever went by before Tosk spoke, her voice now icily cold. It had been that way for a long while. What do you mean, you "can't do this" anymore? she asked, her voice not betraying the worry that was so obvious in her eyes, and the way her paws had a slight vibration to them. You know what it means, Vosket. You're not the same anymore. Another silence settled upon the two of them, the moon splashing light colors upon their backs as they rested beside cold gravestones. You can't stay here anymore. Finally—finally—Tosk exploded like Sendate thought she would. What, am I not good enough for you? You think you can just kick me out of here, as if I'm something disposable? she snapped, leaping to her paws, claws unsheathed. Sendate didn't flinch, but simply raised her gaze to look upon Tosk, her colors fiery. Don't do this. she whispered, hoping that the young Draikess wouldn't become irrational. No matter how strong she believed she was, she could not beat the one who had taught her everything. Stand up and fight me, you coward! You think you're so good and mighty… Prove it. Sendate shifted in her resting spot, glancing at the meal Tosk had just eaten. She had nearly eaten the entire thing. A frown formed upon her mentor's face, a sigh was emitted. Suddenly, a look of confusion settled upon Tosk's beautiful face, her eyes concerned—a refreshing emotion for the fool of a Neopet. Stumbling over to her meal, the Draikess knelt down and sniffled it closely, her mouth dropping open in an amazed gape. And then, she fell heavily, her quick breathing settling down into a slow rhythm, a peaceful rhythm.

The next morning, Tosk awoke to heavy sunlight filling through the crevices of a high canopy of leaves, soft dirt underneath her body, which was skewed in all sorts of odd angles. Raising her head quickly, she looked around to find something, anything, to help her familiarize with her surroundings. There were none. She wasn't at her home. She wasn't back in her clan's territory. She emitted the same cry she had given when she had first met Sendate, when the odd Bori had brought her to her home. This time, though, Sendate did not come running around the corner with a Snowbunny clasped tight in her jaws. Tosk was, for the first time in her life, alone. For many more moons, she lived by herself. Many a time, she had attempted to smell her way back to Sendate's underground graveyard, yet her attempts were proved futile. Tosk had, on a spot of fantastic luck, found an empty cave, with a large, wide opening, vines hanging on the entrance to shelter her from any unwanted eyes looking in upon her as she slept. And then, one day, her life took a turn for the stranger.

Excerpted from story taken and places into the Petpet section, to show how they met.

As this little Gallion grew older, Tosk grew closer and closer to him. Soon, she had even named the thing. Because she herself was named Vosket, she had decided to name her Petpet Mask, for a mask is one of the main ingredients in a costume. And as a mask covers your eyes and hides your identity, he served as her eyes, finding small herbs while she hid in her cave, mixing her potions. Finally, she seemed to be living a normal life. And then he came.

CHAPTER FIVE
Unfamiliar sensations

The thing about love is I never saw it coming.
You kind of crept up and took me by surprise. And now there's a voice inside my head that's got me wondering, "Is this true?" I want to hear it one more time.

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH CHELSEA.
Her potion was done—after months of perfecting the oozing green concoction, Tosk had perfected it to something amazing and beautiful and… perfect. A thin smile crossed her thin parched lips as she sniffed the potion once, closing her auds and letting it effulge her. It is time, she whispered, snapping her teal eyes open to stare outside the den entrance, which was nearly completely covered by hanging ivory vines. Now all she needed was the perfect test subject to try out such a poison. However, she was tired of using Snowbunnies and things of the like. She now needed to expand her horizons a bit. She need a Neopet to help her test out her latest creation. Simmering down the blazing flame which fueled the liquid's life, Tosk flicked her tail towards Mask before heading out the entrance. The small Gallion leaped to his hefty blue paws and raced after his mistress, his tail sailing behind him. He wasn't going to miss this one. She had promised he could come this time. As the two of them dodging the hanging vines, Tosk at a slow trot and Mask at a quick-paced jog, they began their quest. For who? The perfect candidate to test out their potion. He would be easy enough to find. Emitting a yawn, Tosk scanned the area, and the sky. She couldn't help but cherish the prospect of trying out her potion on an Elementair Ras Draik… however unrealistic this desire was.

Something rattled in a bush yards off—Tosk squinted her auds to get a better view of whatever was hiding from her. Lifting her nose to the air, she took in a large whiff, attempting to sniff out her company. Finally, she detected it as just a Snowbunny. Frowning slightly to herself, for she had been hoping for another Neopet to real in, she crouched down low, her heart beat slowing down to a calm pace. Her rump high in the air, but her tail low, Tosk padded forward slowly, not daring to scare off her prey. She was almost there. Breathing slowly, coolly, even though this part of the hunt always made her most nervous, she bunched her muscles to prepare for the kill. Just a few more seconds, and she would be ready. Suddenly, a twig cracked. The Snowbunny lifted his pearly white head from the ground where he was eating to look around. Right away, he scented Tosk, for she was merely feet away from him. However, it wasn't the Draikess he seemed to be fearful of. In the blink of an eye, another form thrust out of the underbrush, his lean body covered in pale grey-green scales. His wings were hugged close to his body, as to prevent being slowed down by the wind. The bunny darted away frantically, but to no avail. The much larger Neopet was already hounding down upon him. And then, a small crack reached Tosk's ears before the Draik was padding back towards her, the Snowbunny dangling limp in his jaws.

Amazed, Tosk watched him in awe as he dropped the meal at her paws, a thin smile upon his handsome face. His eyes were a multitude of colors, similar to Tosk's, and they stood out the most of all upon his form, which was fit and lean and magnificent. Two large wings now expanded to their full potential, giving this male Draik the look of a god. For the first time, Tosk's breath was taken out of her body for just a moment—he was beautiful. He was perfect. The Draikess could feel herself blushing as he stared at her, no doubt thinking the same things she was, though she had different intentions. Suddenly, he realized he was looking upon her for just a bit too long, and he, too, blushed and looked down at the ground. However, Tosk stared upon him shamelessly. Hello there, little lady. I'm sorry to have disturbed your hunting, ay? I figured I'd catch it for yeh as to make up for my rudeness. He sounded like an angel—though, Tosk could not let this get in her way. A silence spread before them, though it was one of embarrassment, not of being uncomfortable. Uh, my name is Ias—my real name 'ain't nothin' special. he added, as if he owed his name to her. And who may you be? In most instances, Tosk would not have given her name, but she was rather taken by this particular Draik. Not that she would let these strange feelings get in her way of what she wanted. I'm Vosket—but you may call me Tosk.

Mask watched from a distance—he eyed the two of them with curiosity and jealousy. Who was this new Draik? Why was his mistress looking at him in such a blunt way? Had she forgotten about the task at hand?! Huffing, the small Gallion marched up to Tosk and whipped her on the leg with his tail to get her attention. Mistress, shall we go back to the cave now? Perhaps your company would like to dine with us? he suggested, giving her an obvious wink. If she didn't get the message, then… God forbid he have to make it more obvious. Suddenly, the bulbs clicked on in her mind, Tosk began to set herself back on track. A small chuckle could be heard from Ias. Yes, of course! Ias—would you be interested in accompanying us back to our den for a bit of dinner?, she questioned, hoping he would not decline. She had to get him back to the cave somehow… And trying to take down such a large beast was a daunting task for such a small Draikess. Not that he towered too much above her, but she was simply a small and frail creature while he was well built and taller. Of course I would, lassie—excuse me, Tosk—I would be delighted to join the two of yeh for a spot o' supper. Lead the way! The two reptilian counterparts shared a wicked and knowing glance. They were in the home stretch. And then, suddenly, something from underneath gave way. Tosk snatched Mask up in her jaws and leaped forward, while a yelp came from behind them. Her back legs dangling in thin air, she attempted to pull herself up onto solid ground. Mask struggled out of her jaws and helped her up. Safe and together, the two of them looked down at their company, a look of disappointment upon their faces.

Ay, Tosk, care to help a fellah out?, he questioned, his heavily-accented voice singing through the chaos and dust that now hung in the air, refusing to settle upon the terrain once more. Tosk and Mask shared another look, though this time they were battling one another—Mask wished to leave him behind, while Tosk couldn't bring herself to do it, no matter how wicked and tainted she was. We'll be down in just a moment, Tosk promised, judging the depth of the hole. It wasn't nearly that far. They could get him out. Can you stand?, she questioned, looking at the position he laid in. It seemed he'd hurt himself, though he did not appear to be in pain. Ay, I think I've hurt my leg. I can't move it too well. Could be broken! Tosk sighed, and Mask made a noise to say he'd won. Alright, we're coming. After many tries, the two of them finally lifted out the heavy mass of Draik from the hole, his left back leg definitely broken. Together, Tosk and Ias maneuvered themselves back towards her cave shoulder-to-shoulder, while Mask trailed behind grumbling and mumbling under his exasperated breath. The smell of soup—among many other things—wafted out of the cave's entrance, which was of course covered by the hanging vines. Ias did not speak, but instead seemed awed by the -disallowed_exp_word-though at times her humor frightened him a bit), understanding, delicate, and, well, she was a good cook. And, perhaps, he had willed his leg to stay injured for longer than it should have, simply to spend more time with her. What happened after he was well was completely above him—either they could go on with how they were, or things would drastically change for the worst.

Look, Vosket, he's better now. The potion will go bad if we leave it sitting out for much longer. You and I both know that this isn't what you need. You're crazy if you think I'll stand for you keeping such a blundering idiot around this place. Mask snapped in hushed tones, for the male Draik was sleeping not far off. Mask, please don't do this to me. You know I can't just kick him out… And I can't give him that potion. We can find someone else to feed it to. Tosk pleaded, glancing back at the male to reassure herself he was asleep. No, Tosk, no—this isn't going to work. He's no different from anyone else.
I'm going out for some air.
You do that, then. As Tosk tip-toed out of her own cave, as to escape the daunting issue that hung above her head, Mask proceeded with his own plans. He wouldn't put up with Ias being here any longer. They needed to test the potion out now. Grabbing a clean bowl, which was made of hollowed-out wood, he dipped it into the quietly simmering liquid, which looked similar to a pea soup. Hey, Ias, you hungry? I got something delicious this time around! Mask called, immediately awaking the sleeping Draik. Ay, yeah, gimme some o' that! I'm starvin'! Perfect. Sitting the bowl down in front of Ias, Mask watched as he drained the bowl quickly, his purple tongue lapping it up in healthy gulps. My, that was good! My compliments to the chef!.

Over the next two weeks, Ias took a turn for the worst. His cheeks sank in, purple rings formed around his auds, and his generally pale-green skin became paler. Tosk frantically searched for an answer, though could find none. It's not like he could have gotten up and drank one of her potions.. His leg wasn't well enough for that yet. She wasn't too far away from the den, she would have heard his attempts. And then, it hit her—Mask. Running through the forest, she cornered her companion, the traitor, and stared him down. What have you done? she snarled—she never got angry at Mask. I did what need to be done. he stated bluntly, as if he had merely bitten Ias. A long, tense silence spread before the two before Tosk spoke again, You're a fool, Mask. Don't you dare come back to me—ever. As the Draikess marched away, Mask stuttered, amazed. Vosket, Tosk, please don't do this to me. You can't fall for him! This is wrong!
It's too late for that, my friend.
And, with that, she was gone, leaving her former Petpet standing in the dust, confused. As Tosk entered her den, she raced over to Ias, licking his face gently with her rough blue tongue. I'm so sorry, my love. And, for the first time in nearly five years, a tear fell from Tosk's face, her eyes burning from the hate and fury she felt for her once closest friend. Ay, lassie, it's quite alright, he offered, coughing pathetically. I'll always be right here. He touched his tail tip to her chest, where her jaded heart lay. The next morning, Jaykin's body was buried in the hole where he had been saved, Tosk herself covered it—without the help of Mask.

For the next few weeks, Tosk mourned the loss of her love—for what was once lust had turned into something real. She would have taken a bullet for the Draik. He was supposed to be hers, and only hers. As she laid upon the cold floor of her den, the meager whining of Mask could be heard outside, as if he were begging her to allow him back in. Instead, though, he had nowhere else to go. Since Tosk had killed his mother, she had become his mother, his father, his brothers and sisters. She was his everything, and now he was alone. Hot tears streamed from the Draikess's auds—she had not stopped her pitiful sobbing for days now. And, suddenly, warmth surrounded her, a cool voice tickling her face, Stop your cryin', lovie. You're not so beautiful when you're sad.
Her head darting up, she looked around, fearful of the dead coming back to life. ….Ias? She could not place a face with the voice, though she knew it had been his.
Ay, I'm here with yeh. I'll always be here.

CHAPTER SIX
The addition of demons

Love, you need to get someone around this place. You've been mournin' for me too long
Shut up, Ias. You're all the company I need. A pause. Tosk went back to busying herself with here-and-there chores, picking up around the cave.
I can't stay for much longer.
What?
You've got to move on.
Whatever.
You're so immature sometimes. Tosk swiveled her head to find the face of Ias anywhere around the cave, though she knew he was not there. It had been two months since his death… He wasn't coming back. I've got things to do. No response. As Tosk marched her way out of the den, she scented the familiar smell of Mask—that blasted Gallion had been hanging around her cave for the duration. If anyone needed to move on, it was him. Tosk wasn't going to allow him back in her cave. He had caused the death of the one she cared for in a way indescribable. Though hate was a strong word, it was the best she could come up with to describe her feelings for Mask. Ignoring the Petpet as he came crawling out of his small make-shift home in the ground, Tosk kept her mind on the destination, and off of the two males who were bothering her most.

This time, her destination was towards town—no one knew of her past there, and she needed a few herbs that couldn't be found around where she lived. Creaping's growth potion was almost done, almost complete—obviously, it had not worked this last time. Shaking the sad thoughts from her head, Tosk straightened her body and padded into town. The streets were empty on the outskirts of this small place, the sea on the other side of town—where she was headed. Cobblestone street paths winded around buildings and houses, dark alleyways hid dangerous creatures. A poster, nailed to a lamp post, read, the market's in town! Hurry up and buy your goods before they're gone! The market—just the place to find everything she needed. Searching through shops took too long anyway, after all. It took her nearly thirty minutes of walking quickly before she reached her destination , though when she got there the transformation of the town itself was fantastic. Lights stood high, bright colors flashed all around her; Tosk almost had to squint her eyes. Everyone was merry here—so happy and giddy and carefree. Though most would smile at such a sight, Tosk merely frowned. This wasn't her kind of place. Grumbling all the way, she began to scout out stands with the plants she would need; the sea could be heard slightly off in the distance.

Suddenly, a small Neopet raced past her, right under her feet. Following the little boy with her eyes, Tosk found herself looking upon a stand selling small puppies—Lupe puppies. They were, well, adorable. Ay, that's just what I'm talkin' about!
This time, Tosk did not flinch. Ias, please—I'm not going to get one of those things. I don't need any company. Plus, they don't look too bright.
Oh, don't be so cold! They're darlin'. Go get one of 'em. Look at that 'lil teal one—she's quite the looker. Compliments your eyes nicely. Though Tosk frowned, she looked upon the pup with an inquisitive glance. Should she? And then, the conversation Ias had brought up earlier popped into her head—he wasn't going to be around for forever. Though this thought frightened Tosk greatly, she also realized that she was going to get lonely—what, with Mask no longer around and all. Sighing loudly, for she knew Ias would have had a mocking look upon his face if he knew he'd won, she waltzed over towards the stand, the teal puppy immediately locking eyes with her. She was kind of cute… Not that it mattered or anything. The puppy, a female, emitted a small, excited bark as Tosk continued to pad towards her. Fine, she was really cute.
I'll take her.

Tera, could you please stop that? If you eat to many of those leaves, you're going to get sick. And I'm going to make you clean that mess up yourself. The small teal puppy had grown to quite a large size in just a few months; and she was becoming more and more of a pain. Oh, Ias, what have you gotten me into? A pause. Figures… He hadn't been answering her for a long while now.
Love, she's just a pup. Give 'er time, ay? Surely, her heart had stopped for a few beats.
Where have you been?, she whispered, her voice worried.
Around.
Typical. She didn't hear back from him that day, or for the next few months after that. Tera had grown to her full height by a year, and she really wasn't that large. Soon enough, Tosk had taught her the scents of all the safe plants that she would need her Lupe to collect for her. She and Tera did not speak the same dialect (for Tera is a Lupess, not a Draik), yet they both came to understand each other well, and Tera came to learn her boundaries. Tosk was her leader, her mistress. However, Tosk soon came into a spot where she was in great demand in the hidden world of Haunted Woods—Neopets from all over were requesting her special concoctions. And, just in time—the fair was back in town.

Pick the male—the one with the blue markings. This was the last she heard from Ias, this sentence telling her to chose the small dark grey pup hiding in the corner of the pin in the most elaborate puppy stand in the entire fair. When she had gotten back to her cave, the small pup in tow (who she had decided to name Zaphs, for it sounded appropriate), she had sulked off to the darkest corner of her dwelling to cry for many hours. Ias was finally gone… He had finally left her to move on. After that, though, she had picked herself up and had continued life as usual. Finally, finally she could live once more. It was time. With her two Lupes at hand, Tosk began making her potions even more amazing—something about them was magical. And, just as she had fallen for a Draik to which she barely knew, she soon fell in love with the two creatures who she now shared her home with, though this time for good. Her heart healed up little by little each and every day she spent with the two of them, with each day that passed from the day that Ias had died.

Far from them all

She tries not to fall

*yawn* Wow, reading through that story must have been tiring! After all, it was exhausting to write! But, well, now that we're past it (and you can fully understand why Tosk is the way she is), let's get down to a few other creature's in her life. Of course, I won't put Teralixia or Zaphs here, because, well, they've got their own section above xD. Those who are put down in this section range in species and importance.. Some are roleplay buddies while others are some of my other characters.

Kllah - Oddly enough, each of my characters seem to know Kllah in some way or another. Whether they've simply heard about him, or they've had the opportunity to meet him face to face (which usually doesn't go too well). Yet, how does Vosket know such a high-ranking character? Well, in the months she wandered around aimlessly—after Sendate left her in the Haunted Woods to find a home for herself where she could start over—she met him. She had stumbled upon his territory one night, and had subsequently been attacked by him and his partner. However, because of her steely scales, the Lupe were unable to inflict any harm to her, which immediately earned the alpha's respect for her. Tosk may be one of the only Neopets that Kllah has any fear of, and so he made her promise she would stay away from his territory and his pack, or he would dispose of any creature close to her.

Creaping - Though not as directly related to Kllah, Tosk does have connections with Creaping, Kllah's dead brother, who was murdered as a young whelp. Occasionally, Tosk will make deals with Creaping, to help him with his growth. She has been working on a potion to improve his growth for many moons now, in return for inside information on Kllah's pack—even if Creaping is feeding her false information. She has tested these potions on a few smaller creatures, who are at their height of growth. One resulted in death, the other in awful convulsions. This next one, though… This one she believes will work. Tosk doesn't quite like Creaping, but she enjoys the opportunity he gives her to practice her medicine upon other creatures.

Sendate- If you read her story, then you should very well know about Sendate and Tosk's background. However, if you do not, then I'll go into a bit of detail now: Sendate saved Tosk from possible death from her tribe when she was outcast. She took her in and taught her everything she knew about herbs and potions. However, Tosk soon grew to be too much for Sendate to handle, and so the Bori kicked her out of her domain, dropping her off on the outskirts of the haunted woods, near herbs and potions and such—enough for Tosk to start over and make her own life. Though it is very unlikely that Tosk will ever see Sendate again, and even if the Draikess despises her former mentor, she owes her life to her.

Jaykins - I was not accepted for Jaykins, which totally figures xD, but rest assured that his character WILL be filled in ^^. For now I guess I'll just go through my story and call him Ias Ias is one of the only creatures that Tosk opens her heart and soul up to. Though she uses him in the beginning as another one of her experiments, she somehow falls for him, in a need to love someone. But soon, this lust turns into true-blue love… And then he's taken away from her when Tosk's former petpet, Mask, slips him a bit of the unfinished growth potion for Creaping. Now he watches her from afar as she lives her life day by day, while he completes other odd-and-end tasks around the Haunted Woods.

art and paragraph done by Aspen (CCJ!)Adaish - Adaish and Tosk despise each other, Tosk more than Adaish. Adaish wanted to feast on Tosk's heart only hung around the sour draikess for so long, before going mad; he of course was a gentleman and put a smile on his face. He believes Tosk is a touchy annoying creature that doesn't deserve living, but he can only ignore that now. Adaish makes much too many mistakes around her and seems to offend her much too many times…. She just drives him insane in many ways; though truthfully he likes the change of having someone hate his guts, or he is sure she hates his guts. He can't help but feel jealous of her and her 'normality' and wishes he could be a draik "one of his guilty secrets-. Tosk and Adaish are just opposites and there is probably no hope for both of them if they ever become friends.

Aspen's uername is caitlyncatjackson! Adaish stretched his long legs across the large rock he sun-bathed on. It was a delightful day, a day people enjoyed coming outside, a day to hunt. His pupiless eyes scanned the jagged forest; perhaps today… he could find a victim worth wooing. The wind played with his long gray and blue ears as he slowly stood, lifting his head elegantly. A sweet smile slowly spread across his face as he gracefully walked through the crowds of creatures, feeling the eyes staring at his long glossy fur. He was, however, picky with his meals; only the best hearts could be eaten, or so he thought. It was common sense, best quality for the best monster, and that is why he preferred the young and naïve girls (normally ones who just graduated from classes). Adaish looked over each girl carefully, smelling their scent.

Grass tumbled as heavy winds brisked through their stalks at an excited pace. Calm waters lapped against the river's banks as smooth underwater rapids carried the liquid downhill and out of view. A beautiful creature stared blankly into the waters, appearing to look at her own reflection, though her eyes betrayed such an act of vanity. Instead, though, she was contemplating herself, juding herself and everything she stood for. Suddenly, a sound from behind caused her to jump. Whirling around, she quickly surveyed her surroundings--she was still alone. Grumbling to herself quietly, she turned back around, though this time she did not look down at the water's reflections to think about herself, but instead to look upon herself. She was an amazing creature, even if her beauty was underestimated by those of her tribe. One day... Sighing loudly, she jumped the river's stretch easily and continued walking on, towards town.

Aspen's uername is caitlyncatjackson! He scoffed, no good catches; he looked up hoping to find a delectable scent, his nostrils flaring. he found him self following it quickly, his stomach rumbling. He soon found him self there, by the river, a beautiful draikess walking towards where he had come from "Perfect" he make a pur-like sound.

Another noise sounded close by. Tosk froze, her paw lifted in the air as if she were just about to take a step but decided setting her dainty foot down would alert her company and cause them to run. Though she could not see them, she could smell them perfectly. They smelt like mold and rotting flesh, as if his skin had been cut and ripped from his pelt, but left hanging there and never sewn up... It almost made the Draikess vomit a bit in her mouth, but she did not. Scanning the area over once more, she finally found him. His gaze startled her, for he looked upon her body shamelessly, like a child to a piece of candy. His auds were blue--they nearly blended in with his pelt color. They even added to a look of innocence. Yet, Tosk knew he was no innocent child. A bit uncomfortable now, she put her paw down, now a bit unsure of what to do. She did not back away, however. When he did not speak, she soon grew frustrated. A snarl bubbling in her throat, she called, "What are you looking at, vermin?!" Perhaps now that he'd been insulted he'd go on with his way.

Aspen's uername is caitlyncatjackson! Adaish soon realized that the draikess's scent matched her body, she was gorgeous. He also realized he was still in his true form in some ways, by the look of her repulsed look. His breathe... he felt his fangs tickle his chin, he turned and changed to normal before turning to face the orange and pink lady. He gave a sweet smile as he sat, his chest burned; she obviously would have to have a delicious heart. "You, of course... You are beautiful after all" he hoped his scent was now decent, he ached for a good meal, and it had been a few days since he last ate "Your color is… rather rare, isn't it? You're obviously an elemental ras (lolsp?)," he looked at her with his bright blue eyes which seemed to glow against his dark teal coat. He lifted his large paw, swiping a bug off his fore arm. "and just look at those spikes…" he cocked his head "You are just so beautiful is nearly kills me.

Tosk was, admittedly, a bit amazed by this male's transformation from hideous to charming. Though unwooed by his looks, she was completely turned off from him by his words. Of course she was beautiful. He should stare at her, and if he did not then he'd be a fool. However, his bluntness surprised and delited the Draikess, so she ceased her rage. Fear clasped Tosk's heart as this male spoke the name of her race, though... Elementair Ras (xD!). Her anger quickly returned, though burned her throat as the growl that once was ready to be emitted now simmered down and faded into shock. How... how could he know such a thing? She was sure no one would know of her race, or perhaps they would not recognize her because of her deformities. "No, no I am not!", she snapped, her tail lashing. Jumping forward, her claws seathed, she prepaired to attack the Lupe-like creature (she couldn't quite place a species with him, though). And then, he gave her more compliments, feeding her ego--she calmed. "Oh, stop you're flattery." she offered a smile, which was nearly betrayed by the look of maliciousness in her yellow auds.

Aspen's uername is caitlyncatjackson! Adaish sat in the same spot, unbothered "I take it you don't like your race?" He only gave a sweet smile, cocking his head, ignoring the draikess' foul and strange behavior. He moved his wiry tail slightly, making it move slowly "How can I stop complimenting you though? I don't think any man could..." He felt dazed with all the flattery he shot at her, normally by now the ladies would melt in his paws, and his stomach now snapped at him like the ferocious creature he was. "May I ask for your name?" I slowly stood, stretching his long muscular legs, flashing a large grin.

It surprised Vosket that this.. This creature sat before her so unphased by her anger and malice. She hated him! What right did he have to sit in front of her and act as if nothing was wrong? As if he were highly enough to even dare mention the name of her race in per presence. "I told you once before, I am not a part of those tribal Draik." her voice was a low, matter-of-fact mumble. She shot him an icy glare, her paws itching to leap towards the male. "Why should I tell you my name? I think it best for me to tell me yours." Not that I care, she thought silently, allowing a grin to once more grace her beautiful face.

Aspen's uername is caitlyncatjackson! Anger started to boil inside Adaish, was this amazing draikess worth the trouble? He knew if he DID get her, it would definately be worth it, but hatred soon formed. "Adaish is my name" He growled, thinking hard wether or not she should be worthy of him.... if she was this rude... "Your heart is black and rotten, and rotten hearts taste terrible" he snarled, twitching "Not worth the trouble and my time" he shook his head, slowly turning around trying to think still, wondering if he should have said those words, but they were said and there was no taking them back.

That was it. Whipping to her dainty paws again, her long legs seeming to glide over the ground, the grass seeming to barely grace her pads, Tosk leaped in front of her offender, the sunlight reflecting slightly off of her off-white fangs. "How dare you", she snarled, unsure of what her next move should be now. "You think you can simply walk away from me? Do realize that you are the one who offended me. I will not be associated with those blasted Draik of Elementair Ras. They are unworthy of my time and of my patience... You have some nerve." she finished, her tail whipping back and forth. It was times like these that she wished she had been born pure, for the element of fire would have been something useful at a time like this. But, no. All she had on her side was the fact that her skin was nearly inpenatrable. Well, she could thank her tribe for that, if anything. Not like they deserved the recognition, though. Shrugging off her troublesome thoughts like a fly upon her shoulder, she awaited this Adiash's responce.

Aspen's uername is caitlyncatjackson! Anger started to boil over, this creature was much to touchy, and it drove him insane, though he was still tempted to try to feast on her; her scent was just to delectable, and he didn't care if her heart was black at all. He took a deep breathe, his fury started to calm and he forced a smile, though he felt the emotion would nearly kill him. He looked the draikess over one last time before saying anything; she was absolutely stunning besides her temper... He really could've hardly have told she was an elementair ras, she was like a whole new species, and something hit him in a way...that made his chest warm, he shook his head "I'm sorry" he sat again and looked down silently "I didn't mean to offend you

His quick apology caused the Draikess to stop and think about her anger towards him... The look in his blue auds had looked sincere... Perhaps he felt more for her than she realized? This thought frightened her a bit, so she pushed it away and acted as if she had never thought it.. "My name is Vosket. You may call me Tosk, though." she mumbled, saying her name only out of confusion. Usually, she would not have opened up to this creature at all, but instead would have tried to kill him quickly. Why had she stalled? Having a fit in her own mind, Tosk finally decided what she could do to make up for her weakness--she did need a test subject for her latest growth potion. Perhaps this time it would work. "Would you... Would you like for me to show you around?" she questioned, a small grin upon her questioning face.

Aspen's uername is caitlyncatjackson! Tosk's tone irked Adaish, but he knew not many creatures could do much to him he only smiled "Hello Tosk" he dipped, hoping with all his heart that he wouldn't offend the touchy draikess. "O' course" he nodded while kneading the ground softly with his large paws, the earth felt so good between his 'toes' he threw his head up for a second and closed his eyes, enjoyed the soft wind as it ruffled his fur "It'll rain soon, we must hurry... if you don't like the rain of course" he slowly started towards the forest, though he was unsure if the draikess wanted to see the city or the forest, but judging by her anti-social attitude he had hoped the forest was what she meant.

The breeze was clear to Tosk, too, though she was impressed (as impressed as a Draikess wanting to feed a possibly deadly poison to a Gelert could be) by his sence of timing, direction, and of course of the heaven's fury. She, personally, loved the rain--however, if said rain began to produce thunder and lightening, then she would run for her life to escape such a prision. She had been trapped in such storms once too many for her liking. Offering a genuine smile now, though one of excitment, she began leading him back to her cave--the place that very few entered and lived to tell the tale to others. The rain soon began to fall, as Adiash had predicted, soon after they had began padding back to her dwelling. All the while, her mind was listening for the slightest crack of thunder or flash of lighting to alert her into a panic. Other wise, her mind was considering the outcomes of the potion she'd been brewing for quite some time now... If this worked, then no doubt she'd have a field day. Finally, finally, she'd have gotten it right. And, of course, the pesky little Lupe would be happy, but that was of no importance to her. Soon, the wind began to pick up, the rain coming down harder, and Tosk was relieved to see the entrace to her cave up ahead.

Aspen's uername is caitlyncatjackson! Adaish watched Tosk carefully, she seemed antsy when thunder roared, "Nice... Cave" He forced a smile, which wasn't hard, considering he lived in a dark cave, hidden from civilization... where he could hide the bodies, though it did often get rotten smelling, but he soon grew to love it. He stared at a black pot which sat there... somewhere in the cave (lol xD ) "You enjoy making potions... yes?" I looked up at her as he saw her plan, he was a guinea pig, he could only try to hold back the laughter, if only she knew.

Thunder rolled outside as Tosk frantically pushed her way past the hanging vines into her warm cave, the fire underneath the pot keeping everything comfortable for living--even in frigid weather. Of course, the slightly foul smell of her concoctuion hung in the air, though by now the Draikess had learned to ignore such a stentch. After all, she'd been working on the same recipe for months now, tring to perfect and get it right. To no avail, of course, but she wouldn't give up. His questioned seemed fickle--it was clear she liked potions--and she flicked them off her shoulder aggitatedly. She slowed as she passed a slick part of her wall, where a bit of water slunk down the wall through a small gap in the cieling, as to get a better glance at herself. She looked ridged and tired as of late, and that was disapointing. Turning her attention back to her company, she smiled. "Hungry?" she asked, finding hollowed out bown-like things. she dipped them into a smaller pot of to the side. From it, a sweet arouma wafted through the cave. Filling up two, she padded back over to him, her tail flicking inside of the other pot to check the temperature. Setting the bowl down in front of Adiash, she waited for him to drink it, intrigued to see if he would.

Aspen's uername is caitlyncatjackson! Adaish wasn't bothered bby Tosk's glare, he only stared at the bowl. He smiled inside, it was fun to please her.... it was always fun to please a hard to please person. Knowing the potion would do no harm to his system, he carefully picked the bowl up and chugged it down. He placed the bowl beside him and smiled "Thank you, it was delicious" Though he knew that would probably irk Tosk, and still no affect on him. He was grateful for his amazingly tough digestive system, it let no poison or any affective chemical pass through his body, only hearts affected his body... It affected his body in a wonderful way

Tosk smiled as he ate her food, though the smug look upon his face was displeasing to her. He had thought this was her poison. How had he known? What made him so clever?! Getting flustered once more (for, well, the prettiest roses have the sharpest of thorns), Tosk stood to her feet, snatched his bowl, and filled it with liquid from the main cauldron. "Here, drink this." she snapped, daring him /not/ to take a sip. Just a sip, that's all she needed. She was beginning to feel as if this was all pointless, bringing him here--exposing where she lived to benifit her own selfish needs. Before he had even tooken a sip, she knocked the bowl over. "Get out. Leave me now." she snapped, catching his gaze and daring him to break it. "Never come back here, for if you do I will kill you." she whispered, looking up at the ceiling. This creature did not realize that his fangs would be unefficient to break her skin. Even the sharpest and quickest of darts barely penetrated the scaley exterior of her body. Turning her back to him, she waited to hear his paw steps before she would look to see if he was gone.
