THE MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR

Ahhh, the seventies. The best decade of the 1900's. A time when everyone was slim and pants weren't too low, hair was big, ideas were bigger, attitudes were kind and love was in the air.
Many people who lived through this time would like to experience it again. They'd like to relive all of their past journeys. That's what the seventies were- a time for journeys. Adventures, quests, trying new things, and finding yourself. Let's get back to this time for a moment...

Our story finds the young Roy Vollak on his way to the top of the charts. With nothing but his guitar and the clothes on his back, he'll go from the Big Apple to the golden state of California. It's a long ride for him, full of many side stops and other affairs, but best of all: the ending.

Is There Anybody Going To Listen To My Story?

My life has been a good one. I come from a good family that loves me and they're all extremely proud of what I have done with myself. I grew up in New York, but I lived my earlier years in Conneticutt. I couldn't tell you the name of the town, I don't really remember. I'll ask my mom 'bout it later. I just remember it was a nice little house in the middle of Conneticutt's nowhere, and it was beautiful. Then the setting changed. My father got a good job offer and I was stuck in the city. It's grown on me, though. I lived in an apartment, but didn't everyone? Hah. It was pretty nice, not too big, not too small, just right for a family of five. I had twin siblings- boy and girl. I say this in past tense because unfortunately my brother is no longer with us. They were good kids, though. Five years younger than myself, never really bothered me, looked up to me actually. My sister is doing well, she's a lawyer, she's married, has a kid. I just wish my brother could have been so lucky. He got caught up in a gang and.. well, details.

But, heh, my life: it was calm, and enjoyable. I must say that living in New York is most likely the reason I was so fit as a boy. I had to cyle to school everyday on a piece o' trash bike. Worked my legs out, so I'm not complainin'. The only thing that I didn't enjoy about the city- the racism. Being a black boy in those days was tough; no respect, no freedom, no peace. That was the reason I rode a bike, my parents didn't want me to have to deal with the people of the bus. It wasn't until I was about 17 that integration kicked in, just in time, too. Haha. I actually participated in a riot once. It was horrible- I was attacked, demeaned, shot at, nearly killed, but.... I'd do it again. I live for freedom, and that's what's driven me through the years.
