I walk alone

I was born in a simple family. I had only one sister. She was older then me and her name was Lily. I loved her terribly but I was always jealous of how she got what she wanted. I worked probably harder to get a good life. I worked hours at a cafe and spent hours studying and doing homework for school. I still couldn't get good enough grades or earn enough to buy the things she got from our parents for free.

She also didn't have to go through the trouble that went upon me. I had one really good friend. Her name was Alice. We spent a long time together. I remember she wore this necklace with a purple stone, very unique. But everything change in one night. I remember going out in the backyard. I wasn't sure what it was for. I turned my back and I saw a dark figure. I remember the next thing I knew I was badly hurt and looking at the dark figure that was far away now. I could just barely see the purple necklace the figure wore. I learned a lesson that day. Trust no one. Not even someone who's close to you.

I ran away from home that day. I ran all the way to Rutland, Vermont. I knew I was lucky to be alive but I still believe I was unlucky. I'm monster, and that is what I think. I ran away so no one could find me. After those long hours of working, I can go to school.

I walk alone because I trust no one. I am Hope. I know it isn't a name that really fits me.
