God has always given His people guidance on how they should treat one another. We tend to be selfish, unless trained otherwise. But God wants us to be considerate of others. He said that we should treat others they way we would like to be treated. If we like these things from others, it is only natural that others would like us to treat them the same. Golden Rule "Do unto others as I would have them do unto me.
Matthew 9:27-34
As Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, "Have mercy on us, son of David!"
When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?"
They told him, "Yes, Lord."
Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you." Their eyes were opened. Jesus strictly charged them, saying, "See that no one knows about this." But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.
As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him. When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!"
But the Pharisees said, "By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons."
What it means:
This story shows that if you believe and have faith, Jesus will come through for you. You have to truly believe in your heart, you can't just have 'hope', and even the smallest bits of faith in your heart will help you. In this bible excerpt the man knew that Jesus had the power to heal him, he had faith in him. And it is because of this faith that he is healed.
