Into the Forest
Vietarent looked down at the sea of trees covering the basin that was created by the mountains surrounding it. A cool breeze caused his fur to flutter a little, allowing the multitude of colored spots spread across his body appear to dance in the night. Tropica was by his side, and Sketa flew a little ahead, his light barely illuminating the way.
-This is it- Tropica told Vietarent through telepathy. "Yeah..." he murmured, as his gaze took in every detail, etching it in his mind, this place had taken him a year to find... His family was here... -Looking for them first or later?- Tropica inquired. Vietarent simply shook his head slowly. "I don't know..." he said slowly. A gust of wind forced his wings open, as he gracefully took flight. Tropica smiled and shook her head, her wings quickly appearing as she too took to the sky, Sketa nimbly flying at her side. Slowly, they descended into the xweetok forest....

Tropica and Sketa
Tropica was a gift from Vietarent's family on his tenth birthday. She was chosen when he went into the petpet shop then, and jumped on his head, as if choosing him as her owner. As Valhalla petpets are much smarter than the norm, and many with telepathic speech, including Tropica, she quickly became fast friends with Vietarent, constantly joining him in his endeavors, and often watching his back. When she needs to fly, wings of what seem to be pure light appear at her sides, allowing her to take flight. Tropica is Vie's closest friend, and often advises him in whatever she can - though she is known to be a rather large tease.
After a couple of years, a lightmite started to follow Tropica around. After a little while, she was permanent, and the little lightmite, named Sketa, was a friend of Tropica. Now the Sketa lights their way in the night, with the aid of Vietarent's markings, for spectrum of colors spread over his body glow slightly at night.
Saydnn

Sayd is a beautiful Cherub from Valhalla. Vie met her in the forest one day, and they became fast friends very soon. They went through a lot together, dealing with issues as they worked side-by-side on a mission, and soon Vie found himself really appreciating her company. He is noticably more open with her than anyone else, and when he's near her, he feels more... complete.
Past

Vie's been through so much at this point, it became nessiciary to put in this blog. It's a good read, although be warned, it's very long, and constantly getting longer as I RP him.
Vietarent wasn't born to a prominent family, or anything of the like. Rather, he was born to two perfectly normal angels, neither of who had magical aptitude or excelled with weapons. However, they cared for Vietarent dearly, and he always had a loving home. Vietarent had two siblings, an older brother named Lriantent, who never managed to make it far and Onathria_ a calm, beautiful Cherub who specilizes in healing magic. Lriantent didn't excel in class, and eventually went to Neopia to try his luck. He fell in love with one of the Fey Guardians, and eventually she had Estherlynne. However, Est's mother died soon after having the kit, and Lriantent killed himself as a result of the depression that followed it. Vietarent is completely ignorant of what happened after his brother left Valhalla, and Estherlynne, in turn, is ignorant of her Valhalla heritage.
Vietarent went to school eventually, and although he did pass the magic courses with upstanding grades, it soon became apparent that his skill was with weapons. Vietarent decided to specialize in throwing knives, seeing as he liked the way they handled, and soon forged his own set using his magic. They were perfectly balanced, with an unbelievably sharp point, and the best thing was that they were enchanted to never run out. Vietarent rarely uses magic, still preferring his knives, although he rarely fights outside the military.

When Vietarent graduated, he was selected to serve in Sorath's Flight in the military, however, he soon started to wonder about his brother, and gained a two year leave from the army, one of which has been completed already. He is rather caring, although an expert at masking what he feels with a uncaring and nonchalant air, however, in the rare moments when he is so concerned for someone that he can't help himself, that air of indifference is stripped away, showing the true caring xweetok behind it - although no one has seen him like that, ever. For when his parents vanished, presumably dead, he constructed the iron wall of apparent indifference, one which is almost impossible to pierce or see through. However, he is noticably more open with his close friends.
After Vie left, he spent a year visiting places in Neopia, still searching for his lost family. Through the year, he endured hardships, and eventualy he came to Altador. There, Vie learned of the Xweetok Forest, and within a month, he had arrived. A few days after Vietarent arrived in the forest, he met a Seraph by the name of Oublessai. Ouble attacked Vie and stole his essence, though it had no harmful effect on Vie. A few moments after, another Valhallian, a theif by the name of Airisaz stole the bottled essence from Ouble. Vie followed at a distance and helped to prevent Airisaz's escape, unaware of the huge crime that the Angel had committed previously. Due to that lack of knowledge, Vie let him escape unharmed and questioned Ouble as to where he could find out what was going on.
He was directed to a treehouse, and spent about an hour searching, before locating it. Upon arrival, he was let in and found yet another Valhallian, by the name of Rotao, newly Fallen. Here, he learned much about what was going on, pointedly ignoring the others that were there. A Destroyer by the name of Lunariin ran out in tears and was attacked. Vie left the house and fought off the attacker, with several others. Then, Tropica took him to the side for a little chat about some things taking place and the uneasyness of the Forest at that time.
A few days later, Vietarent met a beautiful Cherub named Saydnn at Lake Mira. It was then that he learned exactly what so many from Valhalla were doing in the forest, and also about Airisaz's great crime - stealing one of the three Crown Jewels of Valhalla. He also hear more about past events such as Aditeya's attempted capture, and most notably the choosing of the third Arch Angel of Valhalla, the third ruler. Finding that Sayd was working alone and had an entire forest to look through, he voulenteered to lend her a had, seeing as he was currently on Vacation with nothing better to do.
Seeing as he had no place to go, Sayd invited him to live with her in the cave that was there. During the night, while Vie slept, she was kidnapped by a metalfur, though she did manage to escape and return to the cave that morning. That evening, they managed to locate the Archling, however, a different metalfur, full blood this time, managed to kidnap and bring the Archling to Neflheim, despite Vie's and Sayd's efforts to keep her safe. After reporting to Sorath the failure, Vie was taken off vacation and sentenced to work with Sayd on another mission - to wait and watch for any Neflheim activity.
A few days later, they located the limp and heavily damaged body of Anusha(the Archling) lying in a tree. Though Vie was wary of a trap, Sayd rushed foward and sprung said trap. After a fight with the same metalfur that kidnapped Anusha in the first place, they managed to force the metalfur to flee, leaving Anu behing. Quickly, they brought the Archling back to Valhalla for healing, and were healed themselves of their numerous battle wounds. Afterwards, Vie paid a visit to his old friend and comrad, Asu, the blacksmith who had helped him created his knives in the first place for some repairs. There he learned about her last year, and how she had shamefully fallen in love with her brother - completely unaware that he was her brother. Vie suggested that she leave to live for the forest, since she was so scorned and mistreated since he had gone.
The next day, he paid Sayd a visit at her house. There, she found out about his visit to Asu, and assumed the worst. Angry, she gave Vie some off-putting remarks, especially since Asu had hugged Vie for helping her so much. Thinking that Sayd ment she didn't want him around anymore, Vie flew off emotionly wrecked, further damaging his already pained wings. Sayd followed at Tropica's prompting - mainly after Tropica revealed something important about Vie, and together they arrived to make amends. When she arrived, Vie simply went ahead and told her what Tropica had mentioned, fortunatly finding out that Sayd understood, and returned it. A few moments later, he found out that he was being ordered back to the Forest, on yet another mission. Sayd was not to go either, but seeing as she wanted to, they agreeded to stop by and ask Sorath if she could come along too.
As Vie was walking Sayd home, they were ambused by some sort of Shadow Creature. The creature targeted Sayd and tried to steal her soul - almost succeeded too untill Vie managed to kill the beast with a huge flash of light, using up so much power that he almost killed himself. Then he put Sayd's sould back in her body and they managed to make it back to her house in one piece. Seeing as Vie was too exausted to be able to make it home himself, he and Tropica stayed over in the guest room.
The next day, they paid Sorath a visit and told him about the Shadow Creature, also gaining permission to have Sayd return to the forest and work with Vie on the mission. Afterwards, they paid a visit to Aditeya, Sayd's good friend. After a few minnutes, Sayd fainted due to her lack of sleep, constant diet, and having her soul ripped out the day before. Vie carried her all the way to the Hospital, where he awaited news of how she was. Luckily, she would just be tired for the next few days rather than in a coma, wich is the fate Airisaz was currently suffering after almost having his soul taken as well.
After this ordeal, he returned to his house to clean up, and spent a day recouperating before visiting his sister. Onathria_ She is a nurse at the Valhalla Hospital, and wasn't too excited at hearing his news. A few days later, Vie came to the Hospital to check in on Ona before going to Sorath's house in order to see how things were going. He was anoyed to find a Seraph but the name of Tlau flirting with her, and upon learning he was also Sayd's flight leader, he dished in some off putting remarks. Then he went to Sorath, only to find he was to go back to the forest with Tlau. Worse yet, Ona was also to be coming along as more medical support.
She was going off to lunch with Tlau for lunch on her break, before stopping in. Vie scowled over her descision to accompany them, but neverless expected it. Ona left soon after to the hospital, after learning that Airisaz was in critical condition. So, even though she was on brek, Ona went to help. Meanwhile, Vie discussed more with Sorath the deatails of it, and then talked to Tlau again. He made sure Tlau understood that if he hurt Ona, Vie wouldn't hesitate to make sure that Tlau was punished for hurting her so.
Afterwards, Vie left for the training grounds, and spent much of his time there, working on his magic skills. Physical attacks were ineffectual against Shir, since he was a metalfur. As much as Vie detested it, he finally managed more controll over his magic, as well as increased stamina. One day, while walking home from the training grounds, Vie passed the hospital. He noticed the form of Tlau flying out a window, very fast too. Suspecting the worst, Vie took flight and followed him as Tlau went twords the mountains. When Tlau failed to listen to him, Vie grabbed him and tried to force him to the ground. At this point, Tlau did something very unexpected - he retracted his wings, and started to fall fast, with Vie's added weight. Sinead, a relative of Aditeya's, was training in the mountains, and spotted the two males. He flew up, and with Vie, they prevented Tlau from crashing to the ground - despite the fact all three of them fell in a heap.
It was then that the argument started. Vie demanded to know what Tlau had been doing at the hospital - and got a whole lot of snark back. This didn't phase him, despite the fact Tlau was acting strongly out of character. Sin watched on for the most part, with the occasinal comment. Finally, Vie told Tlau to go back to the hospital, Ona would be worried. At this, Tlau said he'd rather not and cause her more pain - revealing an intent to die. At this, Vie blew up. He screamed at Tlau, telling him just what he thought of him, and also what Tlau had to do if he was going to go die - say, to Ona's face, that he didn't like her. When Tlau failed to be able to say he didn't like her even to Vie, he clamed down, and started to manage to see reason.
It turned out, that Tlau's behavior were side effects of a potion that he took. Vie sent Tlau back to the hospital to make amends, before going home. A few days later, Vie returned to TXF with Ona, and Tlau's flight. He was estatic to see Sayd again, and reaquainted himself with those in the forest already. After a few minnuts, Ona had Sayd take her up to Anusha's, the archling, cave to meet up with her best friend, Valo. During this, Vie stayed back at the other cave with the rest of the flight, sans Elazul, Ona, and Sayd.
As Valo and Ona headed back to the main cave, to heal Adi's wings, Sayd was kidnapped by the metalfur, Shir. He had obtained some poision from Ceranda, that would render others completely unable to move. Elazul was hit with this first, therefore being unable to adequatly defent Sayd - soon he could do nothing but stand there, unmoving. As Shir hit Sayd with the poision, Vie arrived. When Ona and Valo had returned to the main cave without Sayd, he had decided to go check up on her. Unfortunatly, Vie was a few seconds too late. Just as he arrived, Shir stuck his tounge out at Vie, and took the immoble Sayd into Neflheim. When that happened, Vie once again got angry. Thinking that Elazul had just been stading there the whole time, he punched him. He noticed on the outside of his counciousness that Elazul couldn't move, but never really took it in.
As a result, he kicked Elazul up in the air, and then down again, before others arrived on the scene. Tlau was first to arrive, pulling Vie away from Elazul. Through clentched teeth, Vie managed to spit out what had just happened. Upon hearing this, Vie and Tlau set out to find a way to get to Neflheim, and resuce Sayd before she fell. They first tried Ena's house, the very same place that Vie had first gone to get information. He had seen two Destroyers there, Luna and Ras, as well as Ceranda, though when he had first seen them, he hadn't really paid attention.
There, they found out that no Destroyers lived there, but were told that Ras, the red Destroyer whom Vie had seen, could open a portal to Neflheim. They left, and Tlau managed to locate Ras fast. Then, they asked for a portal, and upon Ras being skeptical as to wether to help or not, Vie pointed out that if he didn't open one, and Ceranda succeeded in making Sayd Fall, he'd remeber who to thank. With that, Ras opened a portal into the Alter room, where Ceranda was, along with Shir and Sayd. She had sent Shir to kidnap Sayd so that she could make Sayd fall, and turn her into a metalfur to be Shir's mate.
As they got there, Shir had suffered a slight change of heart, because "no one but himself was allowed to harm his pretty". So he had attacked the shadows holding Sayd and draining her power. That was when Vie and Tlau arrived. Thinking that Shir was attacking Sayd, Vie went after Shir, attacking him, and giving Tlau the responsibility of keeping Sayd safe. In order to keep Sayd from falling, Tlau preformed some forbidden magic, destroying one of his wingsets to relink Sayd to Valhalla. Then, they went out of there, taking Sayd with them, and escaping mostly unharmed. After thanking Ras, they headed back to the main caves.
Ona healed them, and sent Vie, Ras, and Tlau to bed. A little later, Vie awoke to shouting. Tlau's sister, Truth, was informing them that Sorath had been poisioned, and was dead. Vie woke Sayd to tell her, trying to hide the fact that it hurt him to know that his flight leader was now dead, even if they hadn't been extreemly close. Sayd comforted him a little, and eventually, she went back to sleep, with Vie faking sleep beside her. After about half an hour, he realised that he hadn't heard from either Tlau or Ona in a long time. Suspicous, he peaked out of the cave, only to see them returning from somewhere, with Tlau's arm around Ona's shoulder.
This, Vie didn't like, despite his newfound respect for Tlau after what he had done for Sayd. However, Vie was tired, so he was about to return to sleep and confront them later, when he met Elazul again for the first time since Vie had hurt him. They exchanged glares, but otherwise the meeting was uneventful, and Vie went back to Sayd, curling up next to her, and this time, falling asleep.
The next day, however, Truth, Tlau's sister was attacked by shadows who tried to steal her soul. She was saved by Kim, and Truth, Tlau, Kim, and Ona went back to the hospital for four days, during which it was almost completely peaceful at the caves. They then returned with a healed Truth, as well as Airisaz and Zyask, who also had been recruited. Ona and Tlau had gotten in an argument prior to coming back, the result being Ona snuck away from the camp upon their return.
That was a big mistake, as she was found by Xacuo who attacked her, intent on another kill, because of the pleasure it brought him. Ona however, just before being knocked out, managed to scream which alerted the others back at the cave that she was missing. Xacuo picked up Ona and made a run for it, always just out of sight of everyone else behind fired. When it was clear that he would be overpowerd, Xacuo dropped Ona from a height of fifty feet in the air. Ona was badly damaged and barely concious, so all she could do was watch her blurry surroundings as she fell.
Tlau was the only one fast enough to catch her, and did, the result being that they both crashing into the ground, but survived. Truth had cast a spell so that she would take some of the damage of the fall, the amount she took startleing her so she started to fall. Vie caught her, and then, along with Sayd, they rushed to see how Ona and Tlau were. Ona, realising Tlau was hurt, was despratly healing him, although the effort would probably kill her. At this, Truth casted another linking spell to Ona, so Truth's energy got taken instead, therefore keeping anyone from dieing at that moment.
After that, Sayd and Truth casted a joint healing spell so that Ona would be ok. All that effort after being hurt caused Truth to faint, and Tlau carried her back. Ona was carried back by Vie, who was walking next to Sayd. When they finally got back, Vie flew Ona up to the cave, though she and Tlau were still rather angry at each other. Vie flew Tlau up as well, and accedently hurt Tlau's wing because he had to grab Tlau fast before Tlau tried to climb himself.
After that, Vie found out what was bothering Tlau and Ona, and set them up to make up, because their frostyness towards each other was annoying. Then, they had a discussion about Ona's attacker. She provided the marking description, and they identified Xacuo. Ona and Tlau ended up being back on alright terms, and soon everyone fell asleep.

RP Archive
NOTE: Not all of his RPs are recorded here, in fact, very few are, due to some of the Neopets rules. If you would like to keep updated with what is going on, head on over to his 'Past' section, seeing as that shall be regularly updated. If you want to read the actual RPs, many of them can be found though the links in the RP section of Adi's petpage. Keep in mind, not all of the RPs listed off of there have Vie in them, but they are all great reads! ^^
Valhalla Secrets
Vietarent's eyes darted to and from the trees, scanning the shadows, not in worry, but in polite interest. Tropica padded along slowly beside him as Sketa fweaved in and out between trees. The sun would have been harsh, but the trees masked the midday harshness nicely. -What next?- Tropica idly inquired. -Haven't givin it much though, took long enough to find this dang place. Wonder what's going on in Valhalla, and how Sorath and the rest of the Flight are doing...- he wondered, not for the first time. -The problem with you is you're too dang homesick right now.- Tropica teased. "Whatever." Vietarent answered, aloud this time, to impress his point into Tropica's mind.Oublessai walked through a holly bush, ignoring the thorny leaves. He had some things he wanted to do. He flicked his ears as he felt an aura approach...an angelic one. He perked up. Well. It wasn't BellBell and he knew it wasn't poor Rotao....he slipped through the trees, seeking out its owner.
Vietarent looked immediately, sensing an aura as well. He nodded to Tropica, who gave him a glance as unspoken words passed between them. It was becoming stronger, defiantly heading this way. Vietarent simply sat down, awaiting whoever it was. -This must be pretty interesting if others from Valhalla are here.- he remarked. -Defiantly- replied Tropica. Vietarent immediately assumed his natural nonchalant air as he awaited Oublessai's appearance.
Oublessai did indeed appear, exploding through the underbrush in a shower of sticks and leaves. "I was RIGHT," he proclaimed with a self-satisfied air, apparently speaking to the air. He straightened, eyes focusing on Vietarent as he brushed the plant life from his fur. "Hello!" His greeting was loud and direct, clearly this was a Seraph with nothing to hide.
Vietarent lifted up his paw quickly to block the spray that Oublessai has caused in his appearance, a few sticks weakly bouncing back. Tropica paid them no heed, same with Sketa as none of it came there way. Vietarent's face showed surprised clearly, as it was quickly masked with a lack of -disallowed_word- maybe he really hadn't), sword replaced with a bottle--where had THAT come from!?--which he swung inches from Vietarent's face and quickly corked as he hopped backwards. Inside the bottle was a glimmering shape, not unlike a tiny fire of black with a kaleidoscope of sparks dancing around it. "Wow!" Oublessai smiled at Vietarent. "Yours is really nice!" He wove his tail around his ankles, aggression totally gone and replaced with the former sociable and open stance.
Vietarent stopped dead as he watched the bottle, completely confused. He touched down gently, wary still of Oublessai. Tropica and Sketa reappeared, both flying up to get a better look at the essence. "Thanks?" he said, as much a question as a statement. He thought hard, and then a name finally clicked in him mind. Oublessai. The Seraph that collects essences, the only one to collect essences! The knives vanished, both the ones in his hands and the ones stuck in trees as well as the forest floor as he padded over. The tail wound had clotted already, it had been minor after all.
Oublessai held it out proudly to show it to Vietarent. Upon closer inspection it proved to actually be a black spiral with myriad rainbow-colored spheres surrounding it. "I should have known someone with a coat like your would have a spirit to match," he mused. He twitched a wing. "You know, if you want to meet some more Valhallians, you could go to this one tree house in the forest. I bet baby brother can take you to more." He seemed to have totally forgotten the spontaneous attack.
Vietarent decided to leave the past alone for now, he could always inquire about that to someone later. He nodded slowly, that would be a good idea to get re-acquainted with Valhalla, or those from there that had also left for a little. "Alright, that sounds like a pretty good idea." Vietarent stated cautiously. "Where is this tree house then?
Airi had been waiting for that action, and in a flash of black and purple he shot between the two, grabbing the jar on his way through, "THANKS!" He called out, as he ran off with the essence.
