You carefully look the ixi over, he appears to be around six feet tall, a black fedora sits on his head, tilted at a jaunty angle, his jacket and pants look tattered, but stylish, and he looks at you over the rims of some black glasses. T-thank you. you stutter, not exactly sure what to say. You are welcome. Are you lost? the ixi asks, tilting his head. A little, I guess.... you answer. Truthfully, you have no idea where you are in neopia central, because you don't remember seeing anything here before...Well, I have a map at my bookshop if you'd like to see it. You nod, then ask You own a bookshop? The ixi smiles, then says Yes, I enjoy reading books, and wish to share the knowledge and love of them with others. It doesn't pay well, but it's a great job. Please, follow me. You follow the ixi down the alley, and he begins to talk as he walks along. What are you doing here anyway? This is the poorer section of neopia central, it's not that good to be around here alone, or without the proper defense. You smile sheepishly It's a long story, and...uh aren't you alone? You reply, a little confused. Yes, but I have taken...precautionary measures. He slowly moved his jacket away from his rather large frame, and you could see a small black belt, with a sheathed dagger hanging from it. I am not as good at using it as a few of my companions, but I know enough to provide some measure of safety. He stops at a small building, and you look at the small wooden sign over the door. It was so faded, that you could barely read the letters saying: Bart's Bookshop. You step inside, and ask the ixi, Are you Bart? The ixi turns, a smile on his face. No, no, my name is Vawghn, Vawghn West. Bart was the old owner of the store, before I bought it. The small store looks cozy, shelves upon shelves of books line the walls, and a few small armchairs are scattered around the room, perfect for curling up with a good book. Vawghn comes from the back of the shop, a map in his hands. He unfurls it, and says, Now, uh, did you mention your name? You shake your head, and reply No, no, but it's sharkgirl46. Call me sharkgirl46. Vawghn smiles, then says This is a map of the central. Oh, sorry pardon the slang there, Neopia Central. The harbor is around 400 feet to the east, if you live outside of here, and you can easily find a ship if you have the NP. Or if you are from a different part of town, the central area is just to the north, and the money tree is there. You nod, thinking...how many NP did you have anyway? It'd take at least some to hire a ride home...You quickly dig through your pockets, and cannot seem to find any sort of NP on you. Vawghn notices, and says Look, if you do not have the ability to pay, I will help you out. I have a friend that owns a ship, so if you live outside of town, she can get you there. And if you live inside of town, I'll have Sunny escort you home. You tilt your head, wondering who this Sunny person is. Oh, Sunny is Hzoo_26, she takes care of me, and a few other ixi here in neopia central, she's a human, like you, so she'll be able to help you if you need. You sit down in a chair, and look around the room. Hey, Vawghn? you ask, as the ixi rummages through some drawers. Yes? he replies, smiling as he turns. How'd...how'd you get here? I mean, get to owning this place? He smlies. Then says How about I tell you a story.....

Vawghn lives a double life. A first, he seems like a shy, and bookish ixi, who works at a small bookshop in neopia central. But at night he protects the citizens as The Darigan Archer. A mask wearing, charismatic ixi, with a bow in hand, ready to thwart all evil.

Vawghn was born in Darigan Citadel, to Kathy and Trent West. His father went off to fight Meridell in the first war, and never returned. Shortly after, a stranger comes to their small home requesting aid, for the stranger had lost his memory. Kathy and Vawghn welcome the stranger to their home, and he lives with them for many years.

Vawghn enjoys reading, archery, writing, hunting criminals, and of course, spending time with Rita. His worst fear is swimming, because there aren't any swimming pools in the land of Darigan, and so he never learned.

Vawghn has a difficult and rocky relationship with Rita, because he deeply cares about her, but doesn't want to put her in any more danger because of his secret life. She feels like he keeps secrets from her, but she doesn't understand that it's because he cares so much.

Character Overview

Vawghn was born in the land of darigan, and was an only child. His father was part of the darigan army, but never returned from the first meridell war. His mother is a brave soul, who believes in hard work, and brought Vawghn up to believe the same.

Shortly after the first war, a wounded darigan ixi made his way to their home. He was much, much older than Vawghn, and he had lost his memory. His mother had pity on the stranger, and allowed him to stay with them until him memory returned, which took many, many years. The stranger, who they simply called Sam, taught Vawghn archery, as well as how to fight hand-to-hand.

Vawghn grew up jumping from rooftop to rooftop on his way home, and one time during his teen years, he spotted a young usul being mugged by a large jetsam. Vawghn was returning from an achery match with his close friends, when he saw the tragic scene. Without thinking, he grabbed his bow, and let an arrow fly, and the usul got away unharmed, while the jetsam got a lovely wound on the shoulder. Soon after that, Vawghn became The Dark Archer, a vigilante of justice who watched over the streets at night.

Vawghn later moved to neopia central, and began running a small bookshop there. Through many incidents with Iriz, he soon became a family friend, and finally, a family member.

Shortly after, Vawghn visits home, and Rita discovers that the stranger who Vawghn took in was her very own father, and through the efforts of Ichi, and the others, got his memory back.

Vawghn sits up, then heads to the back of the store. You hear him rummaging for a moment, then he walks back in with a large, leather bound book. This is my scrapbook, sharkgirl46, it contains all of my potraits of friends, families, vactions, adventures and more. I keep it in a safe in the back, because they are my...my world. I love them a lot.

Rita is my...well, let's just say that I deeply care for her. She's a headstrong, earthy ixi, with a love of archery, thievery and adventure. She's in danger all of time, and yet I hate it when she's in danger. Too much of a protective urge in me prehaps?

Iriz is a reporter, and boy does she snoop. She's come close to discovering my secret job once or twice, and I still have to be careful around her. She doesn't just work for the neopian times, she guards an ancient city, thousands of years old.

Xellaration
Xell was a wanderer at one point. He's the serious one of the bunch, and he often gets flustered when Sunny and the others are...crazy. He apprently is a prince, but he prefers to keep that knowlege under wraps.

Dhazire
Dhazire is a fine craftswoman. She's a blacksmith by trade, and her swords and metal work are some of the finest anywhere. Dhazire loves snow, and the winter months are the happiest ones for her.

Fatuidad
Fatu is a foolhardy ixi. She foolishly decides to chase the wild storms on the plains, in hopes of seeing tornados. Thankfully, Sunny helps keep her in line. And from breaking her foolish neck.

Ichi
Ichi is the only person in the family who knows my secret. She's a mind reader, and it's hard to keep a secret from someone like her. Thankfully she keeps mine safe, and is trying to keep Rita from hating me. Although she is pessimistic, and gloomy for her color, she's an amazing ixi. :)

Calmwood (Calm Wood)
How a charming creature such as Rita can be related to that fool of an knight, I will never know. Calm is incredibly air headed, but there are times when his contacts come in handy.

Moss_Covered_Ixi (Mossy)
I met Mossy once, when Rita introduced him to me. He's a slightly vain ixi, and has a bit of and ego, but he's a nice chap if you get to know him. Although he and Rita do not agree on each other's various methods for gaurding the woods, I think they both can handle it.

LadyListreena (Listi)
Listi is Rita's second cousin, or something like that. I only met her once as well, and I could barely get a word in before that grump kicked me out of her shack.

1. Vawghn is RP'ed in furry anthro only, and only on neopets.com, sorry, he's not a wild ixi, nor does he have skin, he prefers him purple fur any day. :)

2. If you RP with Vawghn/any of my other ixi, I will be adding your ixi to his list of friends, and putting your patch (if you have one) on his page. The only way for your pet to get their patch on Vawg's page is if you've RP'ed with him, or the pet is owned by a good friend. :)

3. Sunny isn't exactly a perfect RP'er, and yes, she sometimes will mess up. Sorry, nobody exactly taught her how to RP correctly. :)
