The Curtain Opens

While walking down the roads of Neopia, you see a poster plastered to the side of a building. In the dusky evening light, the poster's colored are dimmed visibly, but you make out the shape of a white aisha, dressed in vibrant shades of red and gold. His eyes sparkle with life reflecting the flames that blaze from the tip of his hat and tail. Below you see a name, but it's hardly visible. Yet, as you stare harder, the flame takes shape on the paper image and spells out a name for you: VARREKAI. You rub your eyes with disbelief as the flames continue to put writing all over the poster.

Loner."
Wanderer."
Nomad."
Performer.

Who is this aisha?

Let the Show Begin

The flames dance on the poster, yet the paper never seems to burn. Entranced, you continue staring. The flames seem to have englufed Varrekai's image, and instead illuminate a series of words all over the page.

His name is Varrekai. Born to perform. A true master of show. He came to us but a kitten. Abandoned and withdrawn he had been. Still, he had the fire in him. We trained him on the tight rope. We dressed him is bright colors. He taught us what he was capable of. The fire to perform burned in him strong. Rarely speaking, he strived to be the best. His first show upon the rope, the audience cheered and the fire within became the fire without.

He wanders with us always. Constantly we travel. He is the Aisha Nomad. The show goes on.

The flame stop their writing and show Varrekai once more, a glimmer in his eye.

The Fire Burns

You feel a warmth all around you, and notice a strange glow on the sidewalk behind you. Your own shadow dances and flickers. You hear a voice behind you, soft and soothing.

One has a fire in them as well. An aisha can feel it. Certain things make an aisha burn brighter than others. An aisha is sure you're the same.

A Nomad's Family

You turn around to realize that it is Varrekai himself addressing you. Still in your trance-like state, he begins bringing forth fireballs in the shapes of different pets.

A nomad has family, yes. But one does not get to see them often. Still, one has family and one will share his family with you.

Tobha

Tobha.
One has another sister who is a bit silly, but one loves her all the same. This sister is an usul with a vast army of plush toys. This one is just a child.

Fabrizi

Fabrizi.
An aisha has many sisters! This one is called Fabrizi. A kau. This kau works with many fabrics and colors, making several costumes for an aisha. An aisha knows and appreciates his special sister.

Cast of Characters

One does not have many friends, but one will show you all he knows.

Mallado

Mallado.
Mallado the Magnificent. An aisha has a master, a ring master. This lenny has a grotesque face, but makes up for it in magics. A master worthy of obedience and respect. An aisha owes him many things for rescuing him.

Quidam

Just then Varrekai's fire grown brighter and you shield your face. When the blaze dies down, a small hornsby perches atop his shoulder, its own tail ablaze.

An aisha has a petpet as well. A hornsby, loyal to the core. This one knows the art of fire, an aisha believes, but keeps under wraps. An aisha owes much to this little creature for being his balance on the ropes high above the crowds.

At the mention of the tightrope, you turn your eyes back to the poster that first grabbed your attention. There sits Varrekai, perched atop a high rope, poised and balanced. The twinkle in his eye seems brighter than before. You turn behind you, but the aisha is now gone, no trace of him left. Rubbing your eyes you look back at the poster, which has now dulled to its original dungy appearace. In the full dark of the night behind you, it is hard to see, yet even still, there is a small singed corner at the bottom corner of the poster...the only evidence of this entire experience. You hear the familiar aisha's voice drifting in the wind.

An aisha is glad to have met you. Perhaps we shall meet again.
