The decision to go private was made because sadly there are too many Neopians out there who are disruptive, thrive off of drama, can't stop typing LYK3 TH1$ to save their lives, are way too immature to play on the internet(or anywhere, really), or think that most guilds have a revolving door and it's perfectly fine for them to join then leave then join then leave in a never-ending cycle. Or are even worse. So to ensure that literate, mature gamers are able to have peace, fun, and relaxation here, and to keep the drama out, we went private Sunday March 1, 2009.
Our July layout looks like this:

We're one year old now! Woo-hoo!
Our current Webbie layout looks like this:

1. Provide a safe, fun environment where people who have a love of video games of all kinds can meet and make friends with other gamers.
2. Create a place where Neopians who are also gamers can call home.
3. Introduce people to games that they might not have known about otherwise.
Here at The Gamer's Haven we strive to keep each and every member happy and occupied by offering a variety of fun games, activities, guild plots, and events. New activities are constantly being planned. Also, everyone can come up their own thoughts on fun activities for the guild to take part in. In fact, ideas are welcome and encouraged! Here is a brief description of everything we have to offer:
We are currently building up our Graphics page. We are working to offer a variety of graphics to all our members, including banners, userlookups, and fonts. Our collection of graphics is growing!
We have a guild Adoption Agency where members may find their dream pet or put their pet up for adoption or trade. Jennifer is fond of finding/creating pets to zap and put up for adoption, so you never know what might end up in there!
There are opportunities for everyone to have at least one guild job so that he or she may be closely involved with keeping the guild running. These jobs include but are not limited to Graphic Designers, Activities Hosts, Event Staff, and Newsletter Staff.
The Gamer's Codex is our official newsletter that everyone may write for. What each person writes on is completely up to him or her, as long is it is not against TNT's rules.
There are seven Daily Events that everyone can choose to take part in, each associated with one of the days of the week(obviously!). Since they all are events in which anything can end up happening no two days are ever the same! On our Roleplay day, for example, the plot is decided that day. So it could turn out to be something completely different from the previous week's Roleplay day!
Other popular Daily Events include Auction Day and Riddle Day!
We have begun having Guild Plots. Each plot will be different and unique, and the members get to choose which direction the plot storyline takes by the decisions they make during the plot.
We have several Guild Activities* and Competitions*. Some of them are harder than others. Some of them are kind of random. All of them are fun. Each activity has it's own Winners' List where the all the people who have completed it are displayed in the order of completion. Each of the participants in the guild competitions has their entry featured in the guild newsletter, and the winner of each competition gets a special trophy!
*NOTE: In accordance with TNT's rules, all guild activities and competitions are neopoint and item PRIZE-FREE!!! Why? Because entire guilds have been frozen for breaking this rule!!! So in order to keep all of our members' accounts safe and sound, NO PRIZES!
But what if you are having computer issues and CAN'T let a council member know that your dog knocked your laptop off the desk and damaged it, or that your two-year-old niece spilled juice all over your computer and now you have to get a new one? Again, we understand. If you were really active before you vanished, you will not be removed from the guild the instant the three week mark hits. Since you were normally active, it will automatically be assumed that something is preventing you from getting on.
And...that's it!! Following the rules, friendliness, and activeness are all that is expected from members of The Gamer's Haven. Not too difficult, huh?
1. Follow all of Neopets' rules.
2. Do not spam on the message board. Posts that consist of only 1-3 words are considered spam and will be deleted.
3. Be nice to your fellow members. No name calling, mean teasing, etc.
4. This is a literate guild, which means please do not use chatspeak other than very common ones such as lol.
5. Do NOT advertise your shop and/or trades on the guild message board. Take it to the Shop Ads, please!
6. Do not write in all caps on the message board.
7. When responding to other people's posts, do not create a new topic. Simply click 'Reply To This Message' so that everyone knows which message you are replying to. Also, don't copy and paste what you are replying to in your message.
~ Council (Legend)
~ Semi Legendary
~ Veteran
~ Intermediate
~ Novice
~ Rookie
Please note that council positions are available, but will ONLY be given to people who have moved up to the Semi Legendary rank.
This is because it makes no sense for someone to join The Haven, then end up on council five minutes later. This person knows nothing about the guild or how it is run. Plus, it is plain unfair to the other members for someone they don't know and trust to have such an important position.
Returning members must neomail Jennifer and let her know that you wish to rejoin The Gamer's Haven.
If you left the guild your neomail should contain your responses to the following:
1. Why did you leave the first time around?
2. Why do you wish to come back?
3. Is there anything else you wish to be known?
If you were removed for inactivity your neomail should contain your responses to the following:
1. Why were you so inactive before?
2. What has changed that will allow you to be more active?
3. Is there anything else you wish to be known?
Please do not list your responses. Simply write a short paragraph or so that contains your answers. You many be asked a few questions depending on your responses.
IMPORTANT: If you are accepted back into the guild and leave/are removed a second time, you will not allowed back a third time. Also, if you were banned from the guild, you will not be accepted back at all.
Q. Can I have a spot on Council?
A. No. At least, not right away. As it is clearly stated in the 'Ranks' section, council positions will only be given to people who advance through the guild ranks.
Q. Can I get an invite to have a look around?
A. No. All of the information about the Haven is right here on this page. The only people who will receive invites are those who are accepted into the guild.
Q. Can I apply and join on a side account?
A. Of course! As long as you are active, it doesn't matter if you join on a side account.
Q. Is the guild leader active?
A. Very much so.
Q. How active is the rest of the guild?
A. Again, very active. There are several people who are usually on every day. If you use the amount of messages in a guild to determine how active they are, please keep in mind that over 21,000 of our messages have recently vanished overnight from the message total. We have no idea why or how. So please add 21,000 to our current message number to reach a close estimate of our total posts.
Q. Has someone been banned from the guild before?
A. Yes. However, people are not banned from the guild left and right. The only reasons that someone would be banned is by breaking numerous rules, or by breaking rule #s 1 and/or 3. If you follow Neopets' rules and aren't rude to everyone, you won't have any problems at all.
Q. Who are the characters on this page?
A. Starting from the top-left and moving clockwise, they are Samus Aran (Metroid series), Marcus Fenix (Gears of War series), Sheva Alomar (Resident Evil 5), and Master Chief (Halo series).
1. Why do you want to join The Gamer's Haven?
2. What is your name, or what would you like to be called by?
3. Tell us a bit about yourself.
4. Who referred you to us? If no one referred you, how did you find us?
Please DO NOT simply list your responses. Show that you are literate and write a short paragraph or so that contains them. Your neomail will be answered ASAP. No one will EVER be left waiting around for a response! Just please keep in mind that no one is on 24/7.
