Score 300+ points for an avatar.
I don't claim to be an expert at this game, for one reason and one reason only: I'm not. However, I can get the avatar score quite easily, and I know a lot of people have trouble with it including friends, so I thought hey, write a guide and maybe they'll get it. -bigheaded much?- But yeah, this guide was born.
First off, some basic things.
- I play with sound on and music on, just get used to the odd noises so they don't make you jump. Silence is nervy.
- If you have a mousepad and the mouse keeps reaching the edge and you die I advise playing on a desk or a book. It'll take a bit of getting used to but it'll be better in the long run.
- If you need to stop halfway through a level cause you messed up or need the toilet of something, just right click and the wire will seperate without losing a life.
- There is no rush at all. Bonuses are fun but not necessary for just the avatar. If they freak you out that much at the beginning of the level let them run out before you start so you don't rush & die.
- Type salamander to skip a level if you really want to, after you click the green dot. If there's a level you really hate or something.
- Don't give up. It only takes practice.
Now I'll be writing the specifics of how I played, with screenshots (oh I'm so professional) to help get my point across. I'm really sorry if it doesn't help you, but I hope it helps some people. :(
Try and ignore the bonus. I'll reiterate this before the rest of the guide because you do NOT need a huge bonus to get the avatar on any level. You may have to clear a few more levels but DO NOT RUSH. Especially around bends.

See that red dot, and pay attention to it. That red dot is what will get you the avatar. Imagine that red dot in the centre of the wire the whole time. The red dot is never
actually there, I have drawn it on to help you imagine it.

Do not let the red dot go off the thick black line. Ignore the wire, think of the red dot. Just try to imagine it right in the middle.

On some tight bends the wire may look like it is touching the thick line, but as long as that red dot doesn't go off the line, you are fine.

A specifically tricky bit that I decided to give it's own discussion. Just remember the wire can go off the screen as long as the red dot stays on the black line.
That's all the help I can give!
Best of luck to you!

Score 1300+ for an avatar.

Again, this guide is for the avatar, not the trophy. This guide will NOT get you the trophy, you will not score high enough, this guide WILL get you the avatar. There we go.
That out of the way, let's get started on information.
- Type geoffrey for an extra life.
- Green Chias die after one hit, Blue after 2, Yellow after 3, Red after 4, Black after 5. You don't have to count because each time they are hit they will go 'down' a colour.
- You have two weapons: the gun, press space to shoot it, there can only be one 'bullet' on the screen at any time of yours so until it hits something you cannot fire another one. mines, press m to put down a mine, yours are green, your enemies are red, you can step on yours but if you step on theirs you will lose a life.
- The score in the bottom right corner is not the score you will see when you press end game. You get bonuses for lives if you finish level 12 (which you will for the avatar) and bonuses for gun kills and mine kills. Gun kills are worth more than mine kills which is why it is best to try for gun kills if you can but use mine kills when this gets difficult.
- If you finish on the top row at the end of a level, the hold down the right arrow key while you press space to enter the next level you will start on the top row on the next level, meaning you can shoot like mad and try to get rid of a chunk of the enemies straight away before they scatter.
- You will need to practice.
Following is some more 'zoned in' help about the game.

This is just a picture with the basic things you need to recognise: firstly, you, then what your bullets look like, then your enemies, then their mines, then your mines. Just get used to them.

This is how I like to use the mines when it gets too hard to kill them all by gun. At this point I stop holding down the key to go into the next level while I press space to I start in the Bottom right. I think surround myself by
3 of my
5 mines for the level, and then stand either under that rock or to the left of that rock. I shoot any coming towards my mine and any that could have come from behind me will hit my mine first. Then I go and replace it. It sounds confusing but try it out; it's not. Always try to kill more with the gun than the mines.

This is just a screenshot of ending the level on the top row, and then what it looks like when you start on the top row. Bang bang bang bang! O.O
I hope that helped some of you and I hope some of it you hadn't heard all of before. Good luck getting the avatar!
