The closer you get to light...

The darker your shadow becomes.

1/12/12: Totally Re-vamping this page since the CSS for the last one was pretty much destroyed. Going to create a new layout image as well, once I finish it. It's about 1/3 done.

10/15/11: Wow, I actually procrastinated for almost whole year on this pet page. I should be ashamed.

10/20/10: Adding in the story!! I'm working on a picture for every section, as we speak!

8/28/10: Under MAJOR Construction- I am writing the story, family and friends section today.

6/6/10: YES she is Kingdom Hearts themed- she's stuck on Destiny Islands, doesn't posses a heart, and therefor the heartless LOVE to just hang around on her and stuff. (just a little info about the picture in case you were wondering)

So..
In the mean time, check out my other pets and maybe drop me a Neomail on my main if you'd like to chat C:

The Island

Destiny Islands. A perfect place to live, and why wouldn't it be? When you're here, you're in paradise.

Or so I thought..

The Front of the Island features two main areas. The first area is the smaller island attached to the larger one by a dock. This area is known as "The Lookout".
The Lookout seems to be a place of relaxation, where one could stare out into the ocean for hours on end. It's also a great place to watch the sunset.
There's a very large, curved Paopu tree on this part of the island which seems to be made for reclining in.
There is a small shack just over the dock from The Lookout, which leads to a small tunnel, traveling to the other side of the island.
Other points of interest on the front of the island are the waterfall and the tree house.
I generally sleep in the tree house, it has some left over furnishings and random items left over from the previous owners. I'll tell you about those items later, if you're interested.

The waterfall leads to the "secret place", which appears to be a sort of underground cave, probably made by previous habitants of the island. At the very back of the cave, there's a door. I can't seem to pass through it, even though I've been able to open it.
When I open it though, I can hear laughter, bells ringing. It sounds like there's another world over there, and yet..
I'll never be able to get there. I can't figure out why.

In this cave, there are lots of drawings on the walls. One in particular always catches my eye:

It seems to me that these people care a lot about each other. They both appear to be happy. What interests me is; why are they feeding each other the star-shaped fruit that grows from the tree outside? I have eaten a few of these fruit, and while delicious, I didn't notice any difference in my body.

I wonder if I need to share the fruit with someone in order to pass through the door?

The back of the island is not nearly as interesting as the front.

There appears to be an obstacle course of sorts. Maybe the people who lived on this island were warriors.

The Story

So, how'd I get here?

I was lost in the darkness, I couldn“t find my way, as I stumbled in the dark, I started forgetting things, like my friends, who I was, the darkness almost swallowed me.... But then I heard a voice, your voice, you brought me back!

I came to, and I was laying in the sand. Waves were crashing against my body.
I thought I heard someone say my name, which forced my eyes to fly open, soaking in blinding rays of sunlight.

There was no one.

Day and Night

There are many things I think about when I realize where I really am. The first being, how did I get here? The second being, how will I leave here? And the third being, does anybody know that I am missing?
A small, cream colored lupess blinks at you with icy blue eyes, a small smirk etched across her face. She ruffles her two delicate wings behind her, uncomfortably, and shifts her paws through the sand.

I know what you're thinking... She says, quietly, while looking away towards the setting sun. How could someone be so miserable in paradise? She lets out a small, exasperated chuckle, and closes her eyes. ... If only you knew...

Sunrise

Sunrise is the most important part of the day. It is when all of the heartless go away. They can't stand to be in the sunlight, which is nice, because I am free from another cold, dark night with them crawling around and all over the place. She shivers lightly, and continues after a moment. I've been able to explore large areas of the island during the day, why, just the other day, I found an abandoned, broken dock on the other side of the island. I was able to find some crates filled with dried meat on it, and realized I would be able to survive on this island for a little while longer. She sighed, staring towards the tops of the swaying palm trees. But I don't want to be stuck here anymore...

Sunset

A dark tone presents itself in her voice Well, of course, since the heartless are born out of darkness, they are mostly seen at night. I only say mostly, because on the very rare, stormy days, they will come out at any hour of the day.
She gently stands up, motioning for you to follow her.
Since you still have your heart, I suggest you leave before the sun fully sets, unless you want to be stuck here like me. She nods her head in the direction of a cave towards the base of a small waterfall nearby. There's a cave there, see it? She waits for you to nod, and then continues, Well, if you can manage to fit through the opening, there is a small tunnel which will lead you to a cavern. In that cavern is a door, and it is said that only those with hearts may open it. Since you're one of the lucky ones, please, take full advantage of it!
A large thundercloud booms overhead, instantly darkening the sky. Within nearby trees, bushes and cracks of the driftwood buildings, small, yellow eyes begin to appear. Eyes widening, Vaomie looks to you, rather frightened. Run! she whispers, as a pool of black liquid forms beneath her body, swirling upwards as if tentacles are reaching out of it.

The Door

Entering the cave, you notice a small carving on the bottom right corner, somewhat close to the door. No time to stop and decipher it, you need to get out! You open the door, and are instantly blinded by bright lights...

The Heartless
Turns out, those creatures that were following you are called "The Heartless".

There are different types of Heartless;

The most common type of Heartless are called "Shadow" heartless. They are the first to show up when the sun sets, and are the least harmful towards creatures with their hearts. They are more bothersome than anything.

The ones you need to watch out for are called "Guardians". They are usually summoned when Shadows are distressed or send out cries for help.

This is why it's impossible to defeat the heartless. They will overpower you in not only numbers, but in size.

Wrote a note, said "Be back in a minute" Bought a boat and I sailed off in it Don't think anybody's gonna miss me anyway Mind on a permenant vacation The ocean is my only medication Wishin' my condition ain't ever gonna go away Now I'm knee deep in the water somewhere Got the blue sky breeze blowin' wind through my hair Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair Sunrise, there's a fire in the sky never been so happy and I think I might've found me my own kind of paradise
The Door
You have your chance to leave. The sun is setting, I suggest you do so.

You don't want to wind up stuck here forever, like me... do you?

There was a small crack in her voice. You could tell she enjoyed your company and didn't want you to leave, but understood keeping you here would be a selfish act.

You should go. She nudges you towards the door with her muzzle.

Take This Before You Go..

..it is said that if you and one person you truely care about share the paopu then your destinies will be intwined together forever, no matter what...
