No. I work for Neopets, but I'm not a monitor. Monitors are responsible for freezing and warning users, and generally keeping the site clean and safe. (They're very good at it, too!) I don't do any of that and I don't envy the tons of work those cookies have on their shoulders.

That's tough. Basically, the programmers here can jump on anything they need to whenever they need to. So yes, we do PHP games and the like, but any activity or function you see on the site outside of Flash was done by a programmer. We're busy little bees.

This question makes me giggle. :] Yes, it's a real job and I get paid to do it. There's a LOT of work to do here to make sure you have something new to look at every day, so I don't think they could get anyone to volunteer for this job. :P And if they did, that person wouldn't have time for a real job to earn money that's used for stuff like eating food and paying rent.

Nope. Not for personal use anyway. :] The accounts you see as "staff" are for testing or monitoring. If a staff member wants to actually play the site, they have another account to do so and they earn all their wares just like everyone else. :]

Here's the thing. My inbox fills up at least once every day. Sometimes as much as 3-4 times a day, depending on site activity. So I can't reply to everything, unfortunately. =/ I also get a lot of Neomails that look something like this:

Hi. i <3 ur pets. will u rite me back so i can hav a screenie!!!!

Yeah... sorry. I read my Neomail at work, which means I'm working. To be blunt, I don't have time to chat or put on a show so you can take pictures. ;]

I usually read mail as it comes in, but sometimes it will pile up for a couple weeks. =/ The ones that require immediate attention (like bug reports and questions that you wouldn't be able to find an answer to on the Neoboards) I will try to answer straight away. Things like, "what's ur fav colour?" and "why do u like ninjas?" are fun, but they are quite low priority, as you can imagine, and are left to answer if I have some time. Do keep in mind, though, that inboxes purge on a regular basis. Your Neomail could be deleted before I have time to answer it. :(

I'm not saying all this to try and convince you not to Neomail me! Neomail away! :] Especially if you're having a problem with the site. All I ask is that you're curteous enough to repect the fact that I'm working. I often work 10-11 hours a day and I'm only human. I really can't answer everything that you guys can throw at me, so don't take it personally if you don't get a response. ;]

Like I said, I'm not a monitor, so I don't freeze people. :] If you're having a problem with someone, you can report them here. If you're trying to deactivate your own account, you can do so here. DON'T BREAK THE RULES JUST TO GET YOUR ACCOUNT FROZEN. This will result in ALL of your accounts being frozen, and you don't want that.

If it's broken (meaning the Kads are asking for blank food) then yup! Have one person from your Kad board send me a Neomail and I'll get it as soon as I can. :] (I work weekdays. I sometimes check Neomail on weekends, but please realize I do not work on Saturday and Sunday. Just be patient and I'll get to it as soon as I see the Neomail!)

If it's full of unbuyables, then nope! Many feeders know that the less people feeding UBs, the less available slots for regular food. This is intended, and is part of the functionality of the game. Someone has to help out with UBs for the good of everyone feeding. The game does have a failsafe programmed in to clear out the UBs if no one has fed after a very, very long time, but this doesn't happen too often. Hopefully someone will come along and help instead! So, please don't ask me to fix it when this occurs. I can't. :]

The word "snarky" is sort of internet slang for sarcastic. From Urban Dictionary:

Ah, is he really? I feel bad for Sloth. Even though he's trying his best to take over Neopia and become Supreme Ruler, he fails miserably every time. I just want to give him a hug and help him find a better career for himself. I'm not supposed to say this, but he actually likes hugs. He just never listens when I suggest he find a new line of work.=/

Well, I play the games every day. Pyramids, Scarab 21, Meerca Chase and ZurroBall are some good ones. I also used to restock quite a bit. Usually with toys. I don't really have time so much any more. It's also good to find some popular items and search the wiz for a while until you find some really low-priced ones. You can sell those for a nice profit. It's called Wiz Stalking.

No, thank you. :] Most people ask simply because they want a staff member in their guild, which is pretty silly. And those that actually want me to join for real will just be dissapointed to find that I'm boring and don't participate very much. :]

Oo! I get this one A LOT and I have no idea where this comes from. Best I can figure, somehow a rumour got started that I said this avatar wasn't item related. As you can imagine, I said no such thing. What I did say was that it was not a BD av and that it was not time based (meaning you did not have to be on the site at a certain time to get it). I can only assume someone confused item and time... or something. This happens all the time - like a giant game of telephone with stuff I post on the boards - so it's no surprise, but it's still annoying. :P

If tons of people asked the same thing you did, it's probably already here. Otherwise, there's no need. :P
