Darkness still lingered in the air, Usagi heard the sounds of many snarls and insult being spat at one another. He hears the cry of pain... Around him Lupes were attacking each other, glazing the grass with glisening drops of blood. Usagi heads to attack an enemy lupess, her pelt a dark shadow, and bright yellow eyes. He flexed his claws about to attack when he felt pain lash from the back of his neck. It seemed another enemy had ambushed Usagi as he prepared to attack his enemy. The lupe tried to drag Usagi with him, pulling him by his neck. He snarls and bites hard on his opponant's side grasping his skin beneath his teeth. The dark Lupe let go in pain and backed off, but another came after and attacked. Usagi was already tired and his injury on the back of his neck made turning his head to look at his opponent hard. His vision weakened but the outline of the moonlight on his enemy's pelt was noticable through the darkness of the night. Usagi growled. He sprinted toward the lupe, and his enemy did the same at the same time they both jumped. His opponant was fast, and managed to grab a patch of fur. His opponent let go quickly only to dodge again. This time targeting his throat. In the split of a second, Usagi froze. He howled in pain. He quickly turned toward his enemy and attempted the same thing, Biting down as hard as he could until his enemy gasped with pain and died. Usagi slowly let go, and fell straight to the ground, he tried to get himself back to his feet but halfway he would fall back down. Blood oozed from his throat. So this is it, I die easily in battle, Usagi thought as the noise in the valley grew lower and lower. The pain throbbed, forcing Usagi to howl loudly. Usagi's shut eyes opened and he smirked. His body shook over and over again unable to control the pain. It'll be over soon. Even though his eyes were blurry he could see a single scarlet red pelt bust through the crowd of lupes toward him. He heard him call his name over and over. The only words Usagi could say trembled from his mouth,
I'm sorry, Kekio...
Not long after did he no longer feel pain and everything went dark...One final thought crossed Usagi's mind, "I was unsuccessful in this life, So I shall try again to prove myself in my next...no matter what."
