Introduction
Hello, and welcome to the page dedicated to a contest that was brought to you by three people sticking their heads together for a thing to do every week. I'll tell you about these later. We also owe other people for helping out, I'll be telling you about them too! Anyway, so what is this contest. Well, it's simple really. What YOU have to do, is write 1000 words about your favourite pet. It can be anything, a little story, them talking, you talking about them. Whatever you want. Then, our brilliant judges, there will be five, you'll meet them later, will vote for who they thought wrote the best 1000 words. There will be THREE winners. A first place, a second place and a third place.
The winners will each receive gifts;
1st Place - A Banner and piece of Art for their entered Pet.
2nd Place - A piece of Art for their entered Pet.
and,
3rd Place - A Banner for their entered Pet.
That's really all you need to know! So please do read on and enjoy!
Rules
These rules are really important, if you don't follow them you won't get into the contest!
1. No copying other peoples work, we'll know if you have and you will be instantly banned from the contest, no exceptions!
2. You can't choose the artist who draws for you, there will be four, two for the 1st place and two for the 2nd place. They will do alternating weeks so they aren't overloaded!
3. You have only 1000 words at most, less if fine, more is not.
4. Don't beg to win, don't hassle the other entrants and DO NOT bug the judges, artists, designers or anyone, it's frustrating to deal with and not in anyway funny!
5. You can mail the entries to only me. No one else please. Makes it easier to keep track of the entries that way!
6. To make sure you've read all these rules, I would like you to put 'Hurrah for Pets - PETNAME' as your Subject!
7. Only one entry every two weeks please. This allows us to keep different winners, if you've won once before please keep in mind that we will choose others to win because they haven't already!
That's all really, there will be an art contest set up soon for all you arty people!
How To Enter
1. Decide the pet that you will be entering in the contest.
2. Type/write why your pet is the best in 1000 words or less.
3. Slap the text onto a blank petpage. (You can use the code below for an organized petpage)
4. Neomail the link to Dracotamer46 so that she can place it on here and let the judges read it.
5. Wait a week and check here again.
As a side note, we will hold this open, from Monday to Friday, EVERY week. On the weekend (Saturday to Sunday) winners will be chosen and the following week, the one set of gifters will have their time to draw for you while another weekly contest is going on for the other set!
