Hiya There, guest! Are you having trouble with HTML or having a problem with anything to do with graphics? Well help is here! I'm Michelle aka Rowinia and I will be telling you about better ways to Copy and Paste, Uploading, or any problems! Scroll down and you'd see!
=Uploading=
Lots of people have trouble with this, I mean they don't 'understand' or can't upload them. Here are the websites for uploading: PhotoBucket and ImageShack.
These are very useful for your troubles/problems. You will need a graphic made or copied from the web or anywhere and pasted into 'MS Paint' Most 'Windows' Computers come with this program. This is the way you get to MS Paint Like so:
1. Go to the Start Menu.
2. Scroll your mouse over All Programs. Don't click it.
3. Select Accesories.
4. Click Paint and it comes out!
Now You've got it!
Save your image and upload it on Photobucket or Imageshack.
Copy the HTML code it you want a link and change the part where it says 'photobucket' to 'neopets'.
Don't want a link? then ONLY copy the IMG code but delete the '[IMG]' marks and change it to [img src=WHATEVERHERE] and change the '[' and ']' into a.
Also add a '[alt="WHATEVERHERE"] if you are using a IMG Code, and change the '[' and ']' s into what I told you.
=Browsing=
Browsing?! How can I do that? Just find a image(s) you like and paste it the way I told you.
=Easy HTML Codes=
Here are easy HTML Codes you can use most of them are availible.
You sometimes need to replace the '[' s, ']' s, '(' s and ')' s into a s.
(center) MAKES WHATEVER HERE CENTERED COULD BE AN IMAGE OR WRITING. End it with this (/center)
(b) MAKES SOMETHING HERE Bold. End it with
this (/b)
(i) MAKES SOMETHING HERE IN Italics. End it with this (/i)
(br) Makes it skip one line like
this. End it with nothing.
(br) with (br) together skips two lines.
(u) Makes your text underlined yes underlined! End it with this (/u)
(strike) Makes whatever you want crossed out, like this. End it with this (/strike)
(p) Goes to the next paragraph,end it with this (/p)
(marquee) Makes whatever you want there scroll across the page, like
this.Also it could be an image. End it with this (/marquee)
(font color=lime green)WHATEVERHERE(/font) Will make the text that you typed between the triangle brackets and the last bit where you end it off whatever color you chose. Remember that you may type the name of the color, or use may use it's number code. You can also find a colorful little color chart at i-petz.com or most of the CSS/HTML Guides.
=Adding Images - Like before=
Adding images from websites can be real easy for HTML experts but it can be hard for HTML beginners. You could do it in 3 easy steps.
1. To start off let's say you'd like a christmas paint brush for example. Right click on it and select 'properties'.
2. Highlight this code, the WHATEVERHERE place is you're image name: http://images.neopets.com/items/WHATEVERHERE.gif
Paste the code into this code (img src=CODE HERE)
3. Done!!! Congrats! You've got you're image!!!
=Making Images - Like before=
Making your own images in very simple also. It can be done in a couple easy steps, too, like the same way but changes.
When Mich makes her graphics, she just copies images from Neopets or other websites, and then she'll paste it onto Paint so I that she can modify them and make them look like she wants them to. Below, I will show it to you how Michelle's made this picture of me being watched over by Shellesee in my bedroom. It will happen in the future.
1. First, just copy and paste the images you want. Mich found a picture of a Baby Xweetok and a Island Kacheek, and add few changes just like she wanted.
2. Then, she drew the horizon line that seperates the floor from the wall. After doing that, she colored the wall and floor with light and dark purple. Then, she made light purple poka-dots on the walls.
3. Next, she searched for "poster" and "painting" in the Neopets search box. She saw two posters and a painting that she liked. Then, she copy & pasted them into the paint drawing.
4. After that, Michelle searched for 'Xweetok' in hope of finding a nice looking Xweetok book (for Lixxelle, me). Like before, she copy & pasted that into paint and positioned it to the side of me. Although here's one problem: the book was actually facing 'like flying' I'll show you below.
5. Just in case there are some of you who don't know how, I'll tell you how to flip and image. First, click 'Image' at the top of the screen. Next, select 'Flip/Rotate'. (In case some of you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll include some screenies below! Sorry if the screenies aren't too fast to upload) After that, you may choose however you'd like to rotate/flip the image. Now that's how you flip an image! Wasn't that as easy as feeding a cat???
6. After doing all that yes ALL the easy/medium/hard work, Michelle really needed a picture for one of my favorite foods- CANDY/SWEETS!!! Like before, she searched for 'Candy' then 'Sweetie' in the yellow neopets search box. She found some colorful, yummy-looking ones, so she copied and pasted those in the drawing, too. After copying and pasting the jelly beans, she drew a few little lines like the wrappers are wripped around them, which is supposed on a plate too.
7. Then, she searched for 'ball' in the yellow search box (once again). Kayla found a yellow bouncy ball for me, so she copied and pasted that. Now, the drawing is perfect and cute!!!!!
8. Although the drawing is finished, you're still not done, (yes not done yet...). When making any kind of image that you want to be on the internet, you have to upload them to a web-site and save it before you close it otherwise it'll get lost (once again I told you a million times). I use Photobucket (some times Imageshack but mostlys Photobucket), which works really 'sorta fast' for me. After you uploaded it, the web-site will give you a code(s) for the image. Finally, you are completely done! Not hard, eh?

How to Get your Avatar(s) Code:
All avatars have their own little special HTML code. It's not secret to find out as a matter of fact, they're very very easy to get. I'll include a screenie (which I 'screenied' of the page) below to help explain where to find them. Just keep one thing in mind when your getting the code for Neopets avatars. You may only get the code one by one, that means you have to do them one at a time. To get it finished, you must Copy and Paste fast, if you're making a avvie page it will take alot of time when you've got lots of avvies!
1. First, go to boards at the top of the Yellow-top-bar, and then select 'Preferences'.
2. Let us just umm... say you'd like the HTML code to the following avatar below:
All you have to do is right click on the avatar directly and select 'Properties' (like I told you). After you select 'Properties', your screen should look like below. Just copy & paste the code that I circled in redish/hot pink.
3. After copying & pasting that, just add this to the code so that the Neopets HTML filter accepts it. That's all you have to do to get the avatar image!

=Linking=
Hyper-linking to other places is a little easy thing we use to link to other pages. It too, is pretty easy to do. Below, I will say how to link to the basic different things on Neopets. By the way, wherever I put 'INSERT ANY USERNAME HERE'/'INSERT PETS NAME HERE' is where you put the user-name of the person/the name of the pet you want to link to.
