So you want to be a Paint Shop Pro master? I can help you! I don't have very many images to assist you, so use your imagination. Open Paint Shop Pro. You should see a blank screen, waiting for an image. You should also open up MSPaint. MSPaint will be our base, where we edit our image's height and width. Find an image you like
here. I will be using an image of Count Von Roo.

I suggest picking an image with a solid color background, like the image below. It makes it much easier, and you won't have to spend a lot of time on it.
You need to copy and paste the image into MSPaint. To copy the image, right-click it, and then an option should appear as 'Copy' in Internet Explorer, or 'Copy Image' in FireFox. You need to click that option, and open MSPaint. There should be a drop down menu, with the word 'Edit' on it. Open that menu, and click the word 'Paste'. Your screen should now look something like the image below, only with the image you chose, instead of the Count Von Roo image.

You need to click and drag the squares, if you desire to make the image larger. Here's something you should know about making mistakes. You can click the 'Edit' menu. See that nifty little option labeled 'Undo'? That's what it's for. Don't worry if the background is white, unlike the background of you image. That's why you chose something with a solid background. Do you see the eye dropper tool? Click it, and then click on the background of your image. Then, click the bucket of paint. See the white part of your image? You can remove it, by clicking on it. Your image should now have a solid color surrounding it. Now, we want to select all of the image. You need to click the 'Edit' menu once more, and click on the words 'Select All'. Now, we need to click 'Copy'. Once you have the image copied, you need to go to Paint Shop Pro. Click the 'Edit' menu, and select 'Paste As New Image'.

This is the fun part! You can change your image's colors to be whatever you'd like. Click the menu that says 'Adjust'. Now, you need to select the option that says 'Hue And Saturation'. See the first option? The one that says 'Colorize'? That's what we want to use. The menu looks like the picture below.

Now, after clicking 'Colorize', your screen should look like the picture below.

Change the numbers in the box labeled 'Hue' to change the color, and 'Saturation' to change the shade. I personally like 'Hue – 120', and 'Saturation – 100'. But you can chose whatever you like. Once you are finished with the colors, click 'Ok'. Your image will now change colors to whatever you want.

If your screen doesn't look like the picture below, you need to go through a few simple steps.

You need to click 'View', 'Toolbars', and then 'Effects'. See the nifty new toolbar you made? That's what you can use to add nice effects to your picture. Just fool around with the numbers, like you did on the 'Colorize' option. More information on this is coming later.

So you want to learn how to make blends? Great! Blending is quite simple, and fun, once you get the hang of it. You need to find two or more pictures you like. I suggest starting out with two. You should use a picture with a solid colored background for the top of the blend, because it's easier. You may use whatever you want for the lower part of the blend. I will be using two images, a banner, and a picture of Sophie The Swamp Witch.
Your images can be two different sizes, so long as you resize them in MSPaint. To make them the same size, you should experiment with the 'Image' menu. You should click the 'Attributes' option. The menu is shown in the picture below.

After clicking the option, a menu like the one shown below will come up.

These numbers control the height and width of your image. Pick a size you want, and use it. I chose the size of my banner, so I copied the numbers down, and used it for the image of Sophie. The reason you want a relatively solid colored background is simple. You'll probably need to fill in places on your image that are white.
Copy and paste your base image into Paint Shop Pro. Remember that 'View' menu? If you don't see a toolbar similar to the picture below, you need to follow a few simple steps.

You need to click 'View', 'Palettes', then 'Layers'.

The menu should appear like this. Now, you have to right-click the small image of your background in your layer. A menu should appear. Click 'Duplicate'.
You should now see a second layer.
Do you see the menu that says 'Normal'? Click it, and select any option you want. I chose 'Hard Light'. You should also select the option 'Gaussian Blur' on your top layer. Don't worry if you can't see what your image looks like, that's why we selected 'Hard Light'.
You can click on your first layer, and select an option, too. Now you want to put your second image in. Copy it, and don't paste it in normally. You want to select the special option that says 'Paste As New Layer'.
You can repeat the processes you used on your first two layers, and even use the 'Colorize' option! Don't let anything limit your creativity. If you're done with your layers, and want to make them into one solid image, click the 'Layer' menu, 'Merge', and 'Merge All (Flatten)'. You now have a solid image, that looks great! Save your work, and if you'd like, upload it to the internet! You can do lots of things with it, like making it into a blog, birthday card, banner, and lots more fun stuff. There are links at the bottom of this page to inspire you.

The link can be customized. You can replace the word 'Color' in the HTML coding to be 'Red', 'Orange', 'Yellow', 'Green', 'Blue', or 'Purple'. I'm working on more links, so
NeoMail me your ideas, and I might put them in.
