I'm tired...

Here's to another update of both sections. It's a bit early, but at least I'm not putting it off, right? Still want to ragequit everything though, but I've been with this page for so long... I don't know.
You'll notice a lot of red in the paint brushes section: the price hasn't actually dropped, I've improved my methods at finding the rates that people are exchanging for on the tc board and through the auctions.
Still clueless about the prices of the three newest paint brushes, marked with a red asterisk (*) If you have information about the prices of those, please let me know? :3
Piece #1 (and as of late, #5 as well) of the SLM is on the rise again. I'd recommend to hold off buying #1 unless you're really desperate.

The Cheat Sheet

Exclusive Colors 8-Bit, Alien, Chocolate, Clay, Coconut, Custard, Garlic, Ice, Jelly, Mallow, Robot, Snot, Sponge, MSP. (Also available by FFQ, except for 8-Bit, Ice, Robot, Sponge, and MSP)

Non-Obtainable Baby, Ice Bori^[1], Magma, Pirate, Plushie, Usuki, Quiguki, and Royal.

When purchasing or selling... check the url of the image to verify you are buying/selling the right piece at the right price. If buying a set from somebody else, make sure it has all nine distinct pieces.

On zapping pets... Pets are subject to random stat, gender, species, and color changes under prolonged zapping. You should, however, notice a net gain in hit points, strength, and movement. You can only zap a pet once a day. You cannot have a pre-arranged agreement to zap somebody else's pet; that is considering sharing the lab.^[2]

Can I resell/reuse the pieces? No, pieces disappear after assembly.

How do I get the lab ray scientist as a Battledome challenger? Refresh at the [pet selection page]. It is random, so it may take several refreshes.

Can I get a draik/krawk from the lab? It has happened before^[3], but it has not occurred in years so do not count on it. TNT has neither confirmed or denied the issue directly^[4], but most speculate it is not possible anymore.

Why aren't the pieces showing up on the trading post? First, make sure you have spelled it correctly (Secret Laboratory Map) and that there are no extraneous spaces. Select one of the options: newest, oldest, or random. Keep in mind setting it to identical to my phrase will only yield piece #1 in the trading post lots.

What colors are adoptable to accounts under four months? Brown, Checkered, Glowing, Invisible, Orange, Pink, Purple, Shadow, Silver, Skunk, Speckled, Split, White.

How do I get a paint brush?

Free: Fruit Machine, Tarla, Random Events, Key Quest, Fishing Vortex^[1]

Gambling: WC Maps, Wheel of Monotony, Test Your Strength, Alien Vending Machine, Wheel of Extravagance

Fulfilling a quota of referrals to Neopets or Premium^[2]

Randomly from creative contests such as the Art or Poetry Gallery

Plot & Other Site Event prizes: Altador Cup and Faerie's Ruin Plot

The above methods do not guarantee a specific color nor brush. Ultimately, you will most likely have to save up and buy one from the Hidden Tower or from other users.

How do I paint my pet? Have the brush in your inventory and go to the [Rainbow Pool] in Neopia Central. You will then be given an option to select the color for your pet(s). Be sure to check beforehand that your pet species comes in the color before purchasing!

If a paint brush is retired, can I still use it? With exception of the Stone and Glass Paint Brushes, yes.
