{Intoduction}
Wow...this forrest is so dense. I wonder if there is any way out..." I said quietly
Snow started to slowly fall again.
More snow... why do I hate it so...?
My four white paws were bleeding from traveling. The blood stained the cotton like snow making a trail.
Feh. Even my blood can stain this snow...
The trees opened up to a large field with a castle toward the back of it.
A castle, eh? Looks like it could take it for my own..."

{Story}
This castle is totally black. Quite homey.
As I approached the castle, I noticed a figure in the -blocked- It was a man, extremly pale, like me. He wore a black hat, and had black wings.
Is he a demon?
I came to the doors and made myself a human. I had done this type of magic before, but had never been dependant on it. My hair was now a solid black. It was long, and reached below my waist. My shirt was a pale yellow. Almost tanish, and with a high neck. Attached at the neck was a red jewel. It held a black cape that reached the ground. My pants were straight-legged, and also black. I knocked on the large doors and a butler, it seemed, let me in.
May I ask what you have come for here, sir?" he said.
I have no reason for coming." I said cooly.
The butler raised his eyebrow.
Is there a place I can stay?
There's a small motel a ways into town.
I ment here, at the castle." I said, getting annoyed.
I really don't think there is." the butler said rudely
It was then that the man I saw in the window came down the steps and saw me.
What is going on here?" he asked.
This man says he needs a room for the night, your excelency.
Excelency? Is he a prince?
The "prince" eyed me wearily. I tried to look at him in the eye, but something kept me from it. I turned my head to the side instead.
Alright then." the man said calmly. "Give him a room.
But Sir-" the butler said.
But what? I said give him a room.
Very well.
The butler took me up a flight of stairs. As I arrived to the top, I saw many hallways. It was like they could never end.
You're room." the butler said.
Oh. Thank You.
I hadn't realised how far I had walked. I could not see the stairs anymore, even though there were no turns. Just a straight walk. I took the key from the butler and let myself in.
This room is quite small...Considering the size of this castle.
The bed was shorter than me, so I would have to sleep in my regular form. The bed was against the wall, and there was a very large window next to it. I looked to the left and saw a bookshelf filled with books of magic. If I stayed a while, I would need to read all of them. Over to the right was a small wooden desk. Shelves were above it, and held nothing in them. I looked back to the bed, and saw that there was a trunk at the foot of it. I turned to go over to it, when the so-called "prince" came in.
Enjoying the room?" he said.
It's a bit small.
Oh I see. But, you're going to have to live with it.
This man appeared nice. He still seemed, well, "spooky" to me, but I found I could still not look him in the eye.
My name is Forevii." he said extending his hand.
I looked at the hand cautiously, and then up to his face.
My name is Touzokuie. Call me Touzo." I said grabbing his hand and shaking it.
So, I see that you are a Vampiro also?
The words shot me like a bullet. No one I had ever met had found that out before. And this guy- he knew it so quickly.
Yes. I am. I assume you are too?
Forevii nodded, and suddenly transformed into a red gelert. His pelt was a blood red, his ears and tail were tipped with black. His eyes were a maroon color, and had two black bat-like wings. The most puzzling thing to me, though, was a black braclet on his back right ancle with a blood tipped fang on it.
Well?" he said. "Won't you show me your other form? I know you have one.
I changed back into my zafara form. My pelt was a pure snow color, which I despised, and I had three charcoal spots on each ear. My tail ended in a blood red, which was the same color as my eyes. Forevii seemed stunned.
I thought all Vampiros had a black or red pelt. Or something to that effect.
I suppose not." I said.
We both ressumed out human forms.
Would you come down for dinner?
I did not listen to whatever else he said; all I heard was "dinner" and "food.
I would love to come." I said.
Very well then." Forevii said. "Come with me.
On the way to the dinning hall, Forevii started explaining things to me.
Here at this castle, I host many Vampiros. All of them need a place to stay so they do not get killed by mortals and those cursed Loto Biancos.
Loto Biancos?" I said.
Yes. They are carriers of "good" magic. Er..."sacred" magic. Either way, the opposite of us. They strive in killing Vampiros. You must stay away from them. But as I was saying, the residents of this castle have a rank that they must follow. It is basically like a pecking order. They all follow me, for I am King.
King? Oh, I thought you were a prince." I said.
Forevii eyed me. I had said something wrong, but I could not figure out what.
No." he said sturnly. "I am not a prince anymore." "You may stay here as long as you wish, Touzo. Just follow your rank.
What exactly is my rank?
That is yet to be determined.
We reached the dinning hall, and I saw many Vampiros already feasting. Forevii waved me over to the end of the table. He sat down, and that stupid butler from before pulled out a chair beside Forevii and I sat down.
Forevii clinked a wine glass with his spoon. "I thank you all for NOT EATING until I got here.
All of the Vampiros looked at each other in fear. They feared that Forveii would punish them, I suppose.
But it is okay. I was late and you were right to start eating.
All of the Vampiros now sighed a sigh or releaf.
Why were you late Siiii-ere!?" a Vampiro on the opposite side said. He obviously had had to much wine.
I am late because I was with someone new here to the castle.
The Vampiros started looking around the room.
Eh-Hm." Forevii said pointing at me.
The others finally saw me and started frantically asking questions.
Where are you from?
Um-I'm from Wales, England." I said.
Ooooh! does that mean you traveled all this way?!
I nodded.
There was no end to the questions. Forevii finally tapped his glass again. Everyone resumed their seats.
This gentlemen's name is Touzo. Make sure you do not bother him. Now, if you would please take your other form, Touzo.
I nodded and was now in my zafara form.
Touzo," Forevii resumed, "this is for you.
A different butler came and gave something to Forevii.
Hmm? What's that? I can't see it!
Forevii took it, and held it up.
It's one of those braclets that Forevii had on his ankle.
Touzo is officially one of us." Forevii said placing the braclet around my tail.
Do not take this off." he said to me.
I won't." I said.
Forevii nodded. "Continue eating." he said
Before me I saw a plate of meat and a glass of wine. The odd thing is...the meat is cooked.
Forevii?" I said.
Hmm?" he said looking up with a mouth full of food.
Why is this meat cooked?
Why wouldn't it?
Well, I've just never eaten, or seen, cooked meat before...
Forevii gave me a smirk.
What's that for?
It's about time you give it a try." Forevii said.
I picked up a knife and fork and started to cut my meat. I opened my mouth and ate a piece.
Wow. This is actually really good. Much better that small rabbits and other rodents.
I looked around me, and saw all of the people that were surrounding. All Vampiros. All of their heads wanted by mortals. And, what was that called? Loto Biancos? I'm still curious about this subject. Forevii never liked talking about them.
What bothered him so much about those Loto Biancos?
Everyone ate for an extremly long time. They never got full. But Forevii tapped his glass, and everyone came to attention.
Everyone, I hope you have enjoyed you dinner. Now please, return to your rooms.
Forevii walked me back to my room.
I hope that you stay here." he said.
I smiled. "I think I will.
I stepped into the room, and resumed my zafara form. I whipped my head around to see my tail, with the mark of the Vampiros on it.
A Vampiro...What makes you a Vampiro? The lust for blood? No. Everyone somewhere, in the depths of their heart, have that lust. Is it our fangs? Do odd shaped teeth make a person so hated? What is it? Could it be the way we dress? Blacks and Reds? That cannot be it either. Is it....What is it? What-
The door swang open.
Forevii?" I said, shocked.
It is the curse.
Curse?...Hold on, what's 'it'?
What makes us Vampiros. It is the curse.
How could you know what I was thinking!? Are you some sort of mind-reader?
No. I can just sense people's feelings. Any Vampiro can if...if something...bad happenes in their life...
Something bad? Like a tragety?
Yes.
Then something must have happened to you.
Forevii stood silently.
Wha...What was it?" I asked
Forevii looked up to me. "When I was little, those Loto Biancos attacked. My parents fought them, and killed many, but wasn't a match for all of them.
I sat down on my hind legs, and my tail swished back and forth. Forevii went into his gelert form and resumed.
They killed my mother and father. They fought bravley, but couldn't take it. Flint took me in. He is in the council at this castle, and my first real friend....if Vampiros can have 'friends'.
I siged deeply. "I-I'm sorry that happened to you...
Forevii was looking to the ground. I tried looking in his eye again, but failed still.
You know," I started, "I lost my parents, too.
Forevii looked up to me.
My mother was a lovely mortal woman, and my father was a Vampiro. They somehow loved each other and I came to be. I grew up there in Wales, with them. We were happy...for a while anyway. A fire struck and killed my family and many Vampiros who couldn't escape. It was then that I was forced to travel and fend for myself.
Then why can you not sense my feelings? That happened to you...You must have been-
No. I never really loved my parents. I cannot love anyone...
That is the curse.
I looked at Forevii with a puzzled look.
We Vampiros cannot love. The only reason I was sadened by my parents' death and are able to sense that feeling, is because they took care of me. I never actually 'loved' them.
I nodded my head. "I think I'll retire to my bed now." I said.
Alright." Forevii said. "Breakfest is at nine in the morning.
With that, Forevii left the room and I crawled into bed. I pulled the thin sheets over my fur covered body and rested my head on the soft white pillow. I lifted my tail into view, and again stared at the Vampiro mark.
A curse, eh?
The night was filled with shouts from the other Vampiros. Being a Vampiro myself, I would normally be right beside them. All Vampiros love the night. But tonight I had to sleep. I had lost too much energy traveling, and I also needed to sleep the food off. The others' voices lifted out of my head, and I fell into a sleep.
I hadn't slept in so long...
It seems like the weight of the world is lifting...
A dream formed in my head.
Where am I!?" I said into the darkness.
There is nothing here...It's just dark...
I touched my face to make sure I was still alive, only to find that I was now in my human form.
I heard footsteps drawing nearer.
Who's there?" I said.
A figure formed. It was a girl.
She was clothed in white, and she seemed to glow in this darkened place.
I'll ask again, who are you?" I said, getting irritated.
The girl simply smiled at me, and vanished.
I awoke coverted in sweat.
Hmm...I'm human right now. Just like in the dream...
Did that...Actually happen?
I looked around the room and then at the -blocked-
Ugh. It's is covered in ice." I said wiping off some of it. Looking out, I saw the sun was already high in the sky.
Oh man! I missed breakfast!
I ran through the halls and into the dining room. Only a few people were there, and it looked like they were waiting for lunch. Forevii came out of a door that looked like it led to the kitchen, and he was carrying some sandwiches.
Forevii, what time is it?"
It's almost noon. So did you oversleep or do you just hate breakfast?"
No, I just overslept." I said sighing.
Forevii smiled. "Then let's go to town after lunch."
Town!? What does the town have anything to do with this? And if we're Vampiros, wouldn't that make it unsafe to just go wandering arou-"
Forevii cut me off. "Just trust me." he said with a smile.
Forevii set the sandwiches down on the table and headed back to the kitchen. He whipped back around, "Touzo, do you want to help me back here?" he said.
Um, sure?" I said, a little puzzled.
I walked inside and saw that no one was there.
Um...Forevii, shouldn't there be chefs or something in here? I mean, since you own this castle, I didn't think that you would do the cooking." I said.
Oh, I don't." he said. "But today I told the chefs to have a break and let me handle lunch. Sadly, the only thing I can make are sandwiches...
I gave a small laugh. "You know, I just might be in the mood for a sanwich.
I grabbed some bread from Forevii, and a little meat. "Forevii, can you pass the other stuff?" I said.
Other stuff, huh? You are very descriptive." Forevii said passing me some lettuce and tomatoes.
I put everything together added some mustard for some reason, and it was finished.
Ah-Ha!" I said holding up the sandwich. "I am also capable of making a perfectly decent meal!
Forevii glared at it, and I look up to see what was wrong.
This thing looks like some sort of mutant animal!
Touzo, why not leave lunch to me. You can just hand me stuff, sound okay?" Forevii said to me.
Oh, fine." I said.
It took a while to make sandwiches for the whole castle, but we finally got it done. When we sat down to eat, Forevii made me eat my mutant one. Somehow, I managed to eat all of it. We went into town soon after, and Forevii made everyone else clean up after him. I suppose that he has the authority to do that, since he is "king" and all...
I was releived that no one noticed us in town. Our human forms seemed okay, so I was safe from harm. Forevii pulled me into a near-by store and showed me an odd-looking item.
Ta-Da!" he said showing me the item.
Erm...What is that thing?" I asked.
It's an alarm clock, idiot!" he said. "This'll make sure that you don't sleep in during breakfast ever again.
Oh man, why does it have to be this one? It's shaped like a cow for goodness sake!
Why would it even matter if I sleep in anyway?" I said.
Because," Forevii said, "tomorrow you're making breakfast. And you'll be making it for a while, too.
Wha-? Why don't the chefs make it!?" I said.
Well, you just came to Castle Tide, and you haven't tasted the chefs' breakfasts. They taste absolutley horrible, so we're making every Vampiro in the house make it once, and once we find a good one, they will me the new breakfast chef!" Forevii said.
Fine." I said grumbling. "But you're paying for it. I don't have any money at all.
Okay, okay." Forevii said.
We paid, went out of the shop, and headed back to Castle Tide.
Forevii stopped when we were almost there.
Forevii, what's the matter? You coming?" I said to him.
Hmm? Oh, oh yeah. C-coming..." he said.
His eyes had a saddened look to them, and yet again, I could not look him in the eye.
Back in my room, I wondered what was wrong with Forevii. It kept pestering me until I finally had enough courage to go up to his room and ask again. But this time, I was going to get an answer. After getting turned around tens of times, I found his room. The door was open so I let myself in.
Forevii, you in here?" I said as I looked around the room. I walked in and saw that he was on the balcony outside. I opened the doors and walked to his side.
Touzo, what do you want?" he said.
I came to ask you what happened today. On the way back to Castle Tide.
Nothing happened okay? What is up with you?
Normally I wouldn't worry about this, but I know that something is up.
Forevii let out a long sigh and looked out toward the river. I looked to there, too and saw a girl with long brown hair staring at the shimmering water as we were.
Forevii, is that it? Is that girl the thing that's bothering you?" I asked.
Forevii put his hand to his forehead. "Touzo, I don't know. The curse, the curse. This can't be love. But...if it's not love, then I don't know what it could be it's just...it's just...I don't know...
Forevii," I said, "it can't be love, can it? We're Vampiros. We're unable love. You were the one that told me that. I'm not sure what it is, but...it's not love, Forevii.
I suppose that is true, Touzo." Forevii said calmly.
I smiled just a little as the sun slowly set and the light danced upon my fangs. "I'll leave you be, Forevii." I said opening the doors.
Back in my room, I stepped onto my bed and pressed my forehead against the -blocked-
What can it be...if it's not love?
The shinning moon was full, making it look like a flower in bloom. Some of the Vampiros were heading out to do who-knows-what. I decided to stay inside, yet again. It took a long time before I found myself asleep. In my dream, I saw the girl again. She was closer this time; right up to my face. Her lips started moving, but no words came out. I tried to talk back to her, but I found that the same thing happened to me. She moved closer to my face, about to kiss me-.
*beep beep* *beep beep* *beep beep* I woke up to my noisy new alarm clock.
Errr...I'll kill that Forevii..." I headed down into the kitchen to start making breakfast.
I wonder what Forevii likes. Not to mention all of the other Vampiros." I let out a small sigh. "Ah well. They'll eat what they get.
I finished soon enough and came out to see that everyone was already sitting down.
Touzo!" Forevii said, turning around to look at me. "Where's breakfast?
It's coming. It's coming. Goodness. Hang on!" I said heading back in the kitchen to get the food.
I got it, and set in down infront of Forevii first. I mean, I had to get his approval first, I suppose.
What is this?" he asked.
It's called an omelet and toast.
Forevii took a small bite of omelet followed by a bite of toast. "Wow, Touzo. This is really good.
Why thank you. I used to make it a lot as a kid.
You mean you had to cook that young?
Well, yeah. I actually had fun doing it. My mother and father both burnt everything, and my sister was too young at the time.
You had a sister?
Yes. But...she died in a fire along with my parents.
Sorry about that, Touzo.
It's no problem, Forevii. I've gotten over it, and besides, I can't feel loss or anything.
Good point. Now sit down and eat. You'll be making breakfast from now on!" Forevii said with a gigantic smile.
Ugh. I suppose that's alright." I said to Forevii reluctantly.
A few months passed as I remained at Castle Tide. Everyone was getting used to me, including Forevii. Though Forevii continued to stare upon the brown-haired girl at the riverside. I went back into town one day, Forevii sent me to buy food, and my first stop was a small cart by a clothing store. It might not be extravagant, but has the freshest fruit. After buying a sufficient amount, I started heading toward a meat market. On the way, I bumped into someone. Their basket fell out of their hands, and I went to pick it up. It was then that I saw their face. It was a young girl, around twenty years old. She had light brown, straight hair that cut off just a little before her sholders. She wore a long, tight, straight, white dress trimmed in a golden yellow with long sleeves. The sides were slit up to her knees. Her eyes were a light blue that sparkled in the mid-day sun.
I-I'm so sorry!" she said blushing.
It's not a problem." I said, even though it was my fault. I figured that if she was taking responsibility for it, I didn't need to.
Her eyes met mine, and she dropped it again.
Ugh! I'm such a clutz!" she said as I reached down to get it.
Yes. You are. Keep a grip on your things, okay?
The look on her face was as if she was expecting pity from me, saying "Oh no! You would never be that!" To bad she doesn't know me. I wouldn't ever say something like that.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get to the meat market." I said.
Hey! That's where I'm going! Let's go together!
I'd rather not.
She grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the meat market. It was just around the corner, but she took her time getting there; holding my hand the whole time. I hated this girl at the time. When we arrived, she still wouldn't let go. I was forced to drag her along through the shop. She was amazed about how much I could carry. Forevii loved boar, and it's pretty heavy stuff. Plus I had to get other miscellaneous meat for the whole house. For me it was no problem, but any mortal would have been suprised.
Even after getting the meat, she came with me until I was completly done with my shopping. We came out of the last shop, and the sun was setting.
Hey..." she said.
What?
Do you mind if I ask for your name?
I smiled. "It's Touzo. What would yours be?
Koumyouu.
Koumyouu? That's a nice name." I said calmly.
Touzo?
Yes?
Would you- um...come with me to dinner tommorrow?" she asked blushing.
Her big blue eyes sparkled in the sun and she looked extremly cute looking up at me. I couldn't say no. "Alright.
Great!" she said with a smile. "Meet me right here tommorrow at seven, okay?
She kissed me on the cheek and ran off in the opposite direction as me.
She started off as a leech...but now I have a date with her...
Things couldn't possibly get worse then this. Or more annoying." I said to myself as I headed back to Castle Tide.
When I arrived, I put the food in the kitchen and went upstairs to tell Forevii that I was back.
Forevii, I'm back. I got everything on list so..." I said walking into his room.
Oh good." he said lounging on his bed.
Well, if you need me, I'll be in my room." I said leaving.
Now wait a second.
Hm?
I need to ask you something.
Yeah? What is it?
Could you make our meals from now on?
WHAT!?
It's just that, well, you're a good chef, and all of us here at Castle Tide love your cooking.
Umm...let me think. No.
Oh come on Touzo!
No way! I'm not cooking for the entire house! Get your chefs to do it!
But I already put them on other jobs...
I sighed. "You're going to force me to do this no matter what, huh?
Forevii nodded with a big smile.
I laughed. "Alright. Alright. But I can't tommorrow night.
Well why not?
I have to...well, be somewhere.
And where is that?
Ugh. I have to go to dinner with some girl...
A girl, eh?
Forevii, stop it! I didn't want to go! She forced me!
Forevii chuckled to himself and I eyed him with a grimace on my face.
Point made. Very well. You can go." He said
So I need your permission now?
Pretty much." Forevii said with a yawn.
I rolled my eyes as I left.
A king with a huge ego...

I never knew that someone like me, especially being a Vampiro, could love another. I loved Koumyouu very much, and it was unlike a feeling I had ever had before. But, after she died, I found myself falling in love with her younger sister, Niji. Niji and I searched together for a way to bring Koumyouu back to life. We succeded, and both were alive...for a short while anyway. An attack by the Loto Biancos left both Koumyouu and Niji dead. I still had a bit of the resurrection potion left, and a blizzard like wind blew it onto Niji. She is still alive to this day, while Koumyouu is watching over me from the sky. I will always love her, and will maybe find a way to bring her back again, and make her immortal like me.
