Graphics: Big improvement from the old Nintendo Mario games.
Music: It's classic, and you couldn't not love it:)
Objective: Save Princess Toadstool, and the dinosaur world from King Koopa.
Times Beaten: Over 30
My Comments: One of my favorite games for the SNES. The first game that you get to ride on yoshi, and he actually does some good. You can also get fireballs, and a cape which allows you to fly. This game is loaded with secrets, special stages, and bosses that will keep you playing for hours. It's another one of those games where you find some new secret every time you play. My favorite color yoshi is blue!
Overall Rating: This game gets 8 1/2 out of 10
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Graphics: Not too bad... with lots of color.
Music: Really catchy.
Objective: Take baby Mario with you to rescue baby Luigi from baby Bowser.
Times Beaten: About 15
My Comments: Baby Mario and baby Luigi have been snatched away from the stork who was carrying them to their parents. The kidnapper, Kamek, one of baby Bowser's minions, only managed to snatch one of the babies. The other, Mario, fell towards Yoshi's Island, and onto the back of a yoshi who was taking a stroll. Well, now it's up to yoshi to take baby Mario back to his parents, and find his brother along the way. Be prepared for a long journey through several different worlds and levels. There are secrets and bonuses to be found, and skills to master. This game should keep you busy for a while. The crayon look to the backgrounds gives the game a lovable, and homey touch.
Overall Rating: I give it 8 out of 10
Super Mario Kart
Graphics: Pretty good for a racing game on SNES.
Music: Fits the levels very well.
Objective: RACE!
Times Beaten: Bunches on all the cups.
My Comments: Quite a good racing game for the SNES. The steering is a little tricky since you don't have a joystick, but you will master it after some practice. You can choose from 8 different characters including Yoshi, Mario, Donkey Kong Jr. and others. I like being the little Koopa Troopa myself. They took him out and replaced him with Wario in the N64 version. That was a little dissapointing.
Overall Rating: I give it 8 out of 10
Super Mario RPG
Graphics: Very good for SNES
Music: Quite fitting for the levels and pretty catchy.
Objective: Save the 7 stars, and defeat the evil Smithy!
Times Beaten: once
My Comments: Another awesome game! It's the first Mario RPG game ever! The plot of this one is rather interesting. You start out in Bowser's castle, and as always, are trying to save Princess Peach... nothing out of the ordinary here. You fight Bowser and beat him, but his palace starts to shake and you lose track of the Princess. You end up falling back to your house. Toad will ask you where the Princess is, and that reminds you that she didn't fall in the same place as you. You head back to boswer's castle to find that a giant sword is stuck through it! What is going on here? Perhaps Bowser isn't the real enemy in this game... Sounds interesting huh? I have played this game through very many times, but only actually beaten it once. The last bad guy, Smithy, is a huge pain, and will take a while to beat. I only had the patience to beat him once. You will meet some of the usual characters like Yoshi and the Toads. Most of them are new however. Early in the game, a young "frog" named Mallow joins you on your quest when he asks for your help. Geeno also accompanies you. He and Mallow are my favorites!
Overall Rating: 9 out of 10
Donkey Kong Country
Graphics: Pretty good. Lots of color.
Music: Not bad at all:)
Objective: Get your stash of bananas back from King K. Rool
Times Beaten: Probably like 10
My Comments: Another classic game. It was one of the most popular games on the Super Nintendo. You can play as Donkey Kong, or his little buddy, Diddy Kong. Donkey Kong's banana hoard has gone missing, and there's only one reptile who could have stolen it.. King K. Rool. You have to go through many jungle levels, mine shafts, and frozen mountains to steal back your bananas. Your animal friends will help you along the way if you can find them. Rambi is waiting for you in the very first level. There are tons and tons of bonus levels in this game. Finding them all will take quite a while, as will beating the game. Don't expect to take out K. Rool in one battle. The fight will be a long and hard one. Keep at it and you will conquer him;)
Overall Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
Graphics: A little better than the first Donkey Kong game.
Music: Quite catchy...
Objective: Rescue Donkey Kong
Times Beaten: Can't remember if I ever beat it or not.
My Comments: This game can't possibly measure up to the first Donkey Kong game, but it is still lots of fun. This time, you play as Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong. Donkey Kong is missing, and it's up to them to track him down. There are tons of new levels, bonuses to get, and new animal friends to be found. Squido the spider is the cutest! The roller coaster levels in the Haunted Woods are a lot of fun. Also look out for Bramble Scramble. That level is one of my favorites:) However, it is very challenging at first.
Overall Rating: I give it 7 1/2 out of 10
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble
Graphics: About the same as Donkey Kong 2
Music: This music is a little different, but it still fits the levels.
Objective: Babysit Kiddy Kong while embarking on your own adventure as Dixie Kong.
Times Beaten: Twice I think.
My Comments: This game is probably my least favorite of the 3, but I still like it a lot. This time it's just Dixie Kong and Kiddie Kong. There are even more new animal friends to be found, as well as some of your old favorites. Ellie the little elephant is really adorable!
Overall Rating: I give it 7 out of 10
Earthworm Jim
Graphics: A little etchy, but still not bad.
Music: Strange...
Objective: Save Princess What's-Her-Name
Times Beaten: Never did beat this one.
My Comments: This is an odd game to say the least. It is full of crude humour, and some things that just aren't right. That is part of what makes this game so appealing though. The fact that it is completly random, and doesn't always make sense, prods the player to keep playing to find out what's around the corner. I would keep this game away from kids younger than 10, however. Anyway, you play as Earthworm Jim... a worm in a human muscle suit. You have a plasma gun for a weapon, and can obtain others throughout the game. I always got stuck on the level Tube Race. If you have the game, you know exactly which one I'm talking about. You are in this airtight tube underwater for a certain ammount of time. You have to rush to the goal before your time runs out, and you drown. Sound simple? Well, every time you hit a wall, you get a crack in the tube. Too many hits and it shatters. I always got frustrated on this level, and turned the game off.
Overall Rating: I give it 6 1/2 out of 10
Earthworm Jim 2
Graphics: Slight improvement from the first game.
Music: Again, strange...
Objective: Save Princess What's-Her-Name from Psycrow.
Times Beaten: Twice, I do believe.
My Comments: This game was a little better than the first in my oppinion. I actually beat this one without getting too frustrated. The level Puppy Love almost got me though. The name sounds so innocent, but don't let it fool you. Little puppies being thrown by their ears, and turning into green goo when they go splat on the ground isn't very appealing. Some of the levels are just plain hilarious though. Level Ate, and Udderly Abducted are the most random. There's nothing like being chased by a posessed salt shaker, or watching cows get abducted by aliens!
Overall Rating: I give it 7 out of 10
Earthbound
Graphics: Could have been better, but still not bad.
Music: Very odd, but appealing.
Objective: Save the World from Giygas.
Times Beaten: Once
My Comments: This game was very different from any other Rpg's I have played. It was really unique, and had a twisty plot line. I got interested in it when I first played Super Smash Bros. and Ness was one of the characters. I had never heard of this game before then. Anyway, you get to play as Ness, a boy from the town of Onett_ He has psychic powers, and learns various psychic attacks along the way. Friends such as Poo, and Paula accompany you on your quest. You will encounter many strange bosses and enemies along the way. Be sure to master your skills as quickly as possible. The journey will be a long and hard one. Seriously, the game took me forever!
Overall Rating: I give it 8 1/2 out of 10
Chrono Trigger
Graphics: Not bad!
Music: Really catchy, and well done.
Objective: Save the future of the world from Lavos.
Times Beaten: One
My Comments: This game is awesome! The best part, the art is done by the same people who did Dragonball Z! Crono, the main character, looks like he just stepped out of a DBZ episode. What's the plot of the game? Well, you start out as Crono, and are attending a celebration in your town. You meet a girl named Marle, and she asks to join you. Of course you let her, so you both head off to meet a friend of yours. When you meet her, she is working on an instant transport machine, and asks you to try it out. Well, Marle wants to try it too, and when she does, the radiation from the pendant she wears around her neck causes her to be thrown into another dimension! The pendant is left behind, so you decide to follow her. Eventually you will be travelling through several different time periods picking up new friends along the way. Ayla is the best! Anyway, I highly reccomend this game, but it may be hard to find...
Overall Rating: 9 out of 10
Kirby's Avalanche
Graphics: Pretty good
Music: As catchy as all Kirby games
Objective: Clear all the levels by bombing your opponent with blocks!
Times Beaten: a few
My Comments: Have you ever played Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine? Well, this game is exactly like it, only Kirby style! The levels are more colorful, the music is more cheery, and you get to play as Kirby. This is a puzzle game in which you are trying to beat King Dedede in a puzzle battle. The blocks fall from the top in groups of 2, and you need to get rid of them before they hit the top of your screen. Put 4 of the same color together to get rid of them. Combos and groups larger than 4 blocks will send garbage blocks over to your opponent. Whoever's screen hits the top first losses!
Overall Rating: 7 out of 10
That's it for Super Nintendo. I guess Game Boy/Game Boy Advance is up next!
Game Boy/Game Boy Advance Games
Super Mario Land
Graphics: Not bad for being one of the first games on Game Boy.
Music: Catchy, and will get stuck in your head. Very repetative.
Objective: Erm.. beat the evil guy? He's some dude in a plane, but he's not Bowser for once.
Times Beaten: Around 20
My Comments: Ah yes, Super Mario Land. This is an old classic. Once you get the hang of it, you can beat it in less than an hour, but no collection of Mario games is complete without it. It's the same concept as the other mario games with the exception of SMB2. You can jump on goombas, koopa troopas, and many other enemies. There are only around 4 worlds, so it's not the longest Mario game ever. Still lots of fun for people stuck on long car trips or plane rides.
Overall Rating: 8 out of 10
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Graphics: Much better then Super Mario Land
Music: Catchy, but repetative as always.
Objective: Gather the 6 golden coins, and beat Wario
Times Beaten: Around 10
My Comments: This game was actually much better than the first Mario Land. There are many more levels, and lots more to do. You can also turn into bunny Mario if you find a magic carrot. Bunny Mario can float using his long ears. The object of the game is to gather the 6 golden coins from the six bosses to gain access to Wario's castle. Then, you can beat Wario, and conquer the game! Space Zone is the most fun in my oppinion.
Overall Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10
Looney Tunes
Graphics: They aren't too bad
Music: Will get stuck in your head.
Objective: Beat the game, lol!
Times Beaten: 7 or so
My Comments: Sorta a fun game for a while. You play as many of the Looney Tunes characters including Tweety, Taz, and Daffy. Each one has different abilities. Tweety can fly of course, Taz spins, etc. When you get down to it, it's a pretty short game, but it's fun to beat every now and then.
Overall Rating: 6 1/2 out of 10
Donkey Kong Land
Graphics: Not bad for Game Boy.
Music: Catchy as all DK games.
Objective: Beat King K.Rool.. I think
Times Beaten: never did beat it
My Comments: I got this game from a friend. I used to play it every now and then, but never got into it like I always got into the games for Super Nintendo. It's the same in many respects, just on game boy. I never beat it because it was a little messed up when my friend gave it to me.
Overall Rating: 7 out of 10
Pokemon Red/Blue
Graphics: Pretty flat, but it doesn't take away from the game play.
Music: Will definetly get stuck in your head.
Objective: Obtain all 8 gym badges so you can take on the Elite 4.
Times Beaten: Lost count.
My Comments: I got Pokemon Red for Christmas back in 1998 along with my Game Boy Color. I was hooked on it for the next 3 weeks! As soon as I got into it, I started watching the show, and became a huge Pokemon fan. As for the game, it's great! The red and blue versions really aren't different except for the background colors. When you begin, you start off as Ash (or whatever name you choose) and get to pick your first pokemon from Professor Oak. You have 3 choices; charmander, squirtle, or bulbasaur. I chose charmander my very first time playing. Professor Oak's grandson will battle you with the pokemon he chooses. (automatically the one that's strong against the type you choose) It doesn't matter if you win or lose, except for the fact that you get a little money if you win. After the battle, your real journey begins. There are many wild pokemon waiting in the grass around your home town, so be sure and get some training in. There are 150 pokemon to catch and train, and a whole world out there to explore!
Overall Rating: 9 out of 10
Pokemon Yellow
Graphics: Slightly better than Pokemon Red/Blue
Music: Same as Pokemon Red/Blue
Objective: Same as Pokemon Red/Blue
Times Beaten: Tons
My Comments: This game was released a while after Pokemon Red and Blue came out. It's an improved version with a few slight differences. It follows the tv show much closer. For your first pokemon, you have to choose pikachu just like Ash does in the series. You will run into Jessie, James, and Meowth periodically, and they will challenge you. For once, they actually do pose a problem if your pokemon have been weakened by other wild pokemon during training. There are a few other small changes, but my favorite is the fact that pikachu displays his emotions above his head when you talk to him. He says his name as well, but the sound quality is pretty bad.
Overall Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10
Pokemon Silver/Gold
Graphics: Much better than Red/Blue/Yellow
Music: Pretty good.
Objective: Collect all the Johto Badges to challenge the new Elite 4.
Times Beaten: Around 20
My Comments: Basicly, this is an improved version of Red/Blue/Yellow with a different world to explore, and different pokemon. The old ones are still out there, but there are many new ones running around as well. This time you start out as a kid in New Bark town. Professor Elm sends you on a mission to retrieve an item for him, and he gives you a pokemon as a partner. This is where you get to choose between chikorita, totodile, or cyndaquil. Being a huge fan of fire pokemon, cyndaquil was my first choice. When you bring back the item, he sees that you have bonded with your pokemon and lets you keep it. Someone stole a pokemon while you were out, so that's your rival. He pops up every now and then to challenge you. Overall, this is a great game as well. When you finish with the Johto map, you can even go back over to the old pokemon world from Red/Blue/Yellow. It has changed slightly, but a lot of the old landmarks are there including the gyms. I wish the safari zone was open...
Overall Rating: 9 out of 10
Pokemon Crystal
Graphics: Slightly better than Gold/Silver
Music: Same as Gold/Silver
Objective: Same as Gold/Silver
Times Beaten: Several
My Comments: Like Pokemon Yellow, this is an updated version of Gold and Silver. There are slight changes that greatly improve the game. One huge change is the fact that the pokemon move when you find them. Some of the animations are lame, but it's still much better than when they were stationary. Also, you get to see Suicune running around. Eventually you will be able to challenge him without worrying about him running away, and catch him if you're lucky. Entei and Raikou are still as elusive as ever though.
Overall Rating: 9 1/2 out of 10
Pokemon Sapphire
Graphics: They could definetly have been better on game boy advance, but still dominate over the older games.
Music: Ug... most of it is horrible x_x
Objective: Train your pokemon to be able to beat the Elite 4... as always.
Times Beaten: 2
My Comments: It has greatly improved from the other pokemon games, but still carries the same story line. Don't expect the plot to be any different than all the other pokemon games. You still get to pick one of three new starter pokemon, you still need to best 8 gym leaders, and the Elite 4 will be waiting for you as always. What sets this game apart is all the new features that were added. Your rival is actually friendly for once, and you get to beat your father who is a gym leader. There are still many areas to explore even after you conquer the Elite 4, so don't quit just yet. Lots of really rare pokemon are hiding in ruins across Hoenn. There are also pokemon beauty contests to compete in, and trainers that you can challenge over and over. The shiny pokemon are still out there as well. I have caught a shiny (red)zigzagoon, and a shiny (red) sableye;) A few of the downsides to this game is one, very few of the older pokemon are in it. Of course you have pikachu and marril, but what about growlithe?? A bunch of my favorites were left out, and the new ones can hardly make up for it. Two, the pokemon don't move anymore! What happened to the animations in Pokemon Crystal?? Even if some of them were lame, it still added a lot. Three, what happened to night and day? Last time I checked, it still gets dark outside at night. However, it is still a fun game with tons to do. I reccomend it to any pokemon fan.
Overall Rating: 7 out of 10
Pokemon Trading Card Game
Graphics: Not too bad
Music: Very repetative, but not bad.
Objective: Beat the leaders of all the pokemon gym's with your best deck of cards.
Times Beaten: Around 15.
My Comments: Finally a pokemon game where you aren't forcing the poor little things to fight and hurt one another. This game is all about the cards. Build up to 4 decks with all the cards you win from dueling others. Improve your deck with trainer cards and stronger pokemon as you go along. When you beat all the gym leaders, try and beat the masters to see if you can inherit the legendary pokemon cards! Try to complete your collection by getting every card in the game. I'm still missing one...
Overall Rating: 8 out of 10
Pokemon Pinball
Graphics: Pretty good
Music: Very catchy/good
Objective: Attempt to capture all the pokemon in the game and get a high score.
Times Beaten: I got all the pokemon in the game.
My high scores: Red Field:
1st: 13,202,816,850
2nd: 12,653,906,400
Blue Field:
1st: 9,155,115,500
2nd: 7,413,730,300
My Comments: One of my favorite games. This is one of those games that you never really tire of. If you haven't played it in a few months, pull it out again, and I guarantee you will be addicted all over. I caught all 151 of the pokemon in the game. It took me forever to find kabuto, but I finally got him, and evolved him! Recently I have just been playing for high scores. The blue field is my favorite. As for the game, it's like a normal pinball game with a pokemon twist. Your ball is a poke-ball, and when you do certain things, you can catch pokemon, evolve them, move to a different place on the map, or go to bonus levels to score a ton of points!
Overall Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10
Pokemon Pinball Ruby/Sapphire
Graphics: Not bad!
Music: Some good, some bad. All catchy.
Objective: Attempt to capture all the pokemon in the game and get a high score.
Times Beaten: I got all the pokemon in the game.
My high scores: Ruby Field:
1st: 6,599,425,493
2nd: 6,170,697,095
Sapphire Field:
1st: 2,605,609,150
2nd: 2,470,194,047
My Comments: This game was fun! While it lasted anyway. I caught all the pokemon in about 2 weeks time. Needless to say, it was a lot easier than the first pokemon pinball game. The graphics are good, and the game contains all the pokemon from Ruby and Sapphire. There are 201 in all, so be ready! The bonus stages are great! I love Kecleon hide-and-seek! The Spheal slide stage is too cute XD I didn't work on my high scores on this one as much as the last one, so they aren't that brilliant.
Overall Rating: 8 out of 10
Pokemon Puzzle Challenge
Graphics: Not too bad.
Music: Pretty catchy.
Objective: Defeat all the gym leaders to get to a harder mode.
Times Beaten: Several up to intense mode. I can't beat that...
High Scores:
Best Chain=8 W/Garbage=9
Best Combo=12
Marathon High Score=70,259
Total Marathon Score=417,581
Best Times for Challenge Mode:
Easy=5 minutes, 20 seconds (with no continues)
Normal=9 minutes, 23 seconds (with no continues)
Hard=17 minutes, 11 seconds (with no continues)
Super Hard=31 minutes, 35 seconds (with no continues)
Best Scores in Time Mode:
Easy= 6126
Normal= 3326
Hard= 2944
Best score in Garbage Mode= 33,399
My Comments: I adore this game! It's one of those really addictive games that anyone can get into. It's a puzzle game (as if you couldn't guess) and the main object is to master your skills of combos and chains to defeat the gym leaders. Every time you beat one, the mode gets much harder. I got stuck on Intense mode. It's extremely difficult. Sometimes after you defeat a gym leader, a trainer will battle you. If you win, you get to keep their pokemon! *pets sentret*
Overall Rating: 9 out of 10
Super Mario Advance
Graphics: Much improvement from Super Mario Bros. 2
Music: Same ol music...
Objective: Defeat the evil Wart
Times Beaten: Twice
My Comments: This game is almost an exact replica of Super Mario Bros. 2 for NES. There are a few changes that improve the gameplay, but for the most part, it will be a huge flashback. The game looks pretty good on Game Boy Advance though, so if you liked SMB2, then I would advise you to get this game as well. There's nothing like conquering an old game all over again. The game also includes the original Super Mario Bros. Battle game. Remember those fights in Super Mario Bros. 3? You know, the ones where you had to hit the blocks under the spinys, flies, and spiders? That's basicly what this game is. It gets a little dull pretty quick without someone to challenge though. Grab a friend who has a gameboy advance to play along with you.
Overall Rating: 8 out of 10
Spyro: Season of Ice
Graphics: Very impressive for Gameboy Advance
Music: Pretty catchy.
Objective: Free all the faries who are encased in ice, and defeat the main vilain. (I forgot his name)
Times Beaten: Still kinda working on it
My Comments: I got this game a while ago when it first came out, and I was stuck on it for the next month. I got pretty far, but somewhere along in there, I lost interest. Must have been when I started playing FFX. It is a fun game though. Even if I never beat it. You have to save 99 out of 100 faries before you can fight the final boss x_x
Overall Rating: 7 out of 10
The Legacy of Goku
Graphics: Very good!
Music: Pretty catchy actually.
Objective: Increase your fighting power so you will be able to defeat the evil Frieza.
Times Beaten: once
My Comments: I was actually pretty dissapointed with this game. I get home all excited about buying it, and I beat it in 6 hours! I figured that since it was an RPG, it would take forever. I was very wrong. I shouldn't be dissing it too much though. The game was a lot of fun while it lasted. You play as Goku, and right off the bat, you have to fight. Gohan gets kidnapped by Raditz, and you have to go and save him. Then you must go on to defeat Vegeta and Nappa. The game follows the series extremely close. I was very happy with that part about it. You will meet a bunch of your friends along the way including Yamucha, Tien and Chaotzu, and many others. I wish they put Trunks in there somewhere... Anyway, this game is great for any Dragonball Z addict. I suggest renting it though. Chances are, you will beat it about as quickly as I did.
Overall Rating: 7 1/2 out of 10
Mariokart Super Circuit
Graphics: Well done!
Music: Fits the levels very well.
Objective: RACE!
Times Beaten: Several on all cups.
My Comments: This game is lots of fun. It's Mariokart on SNES with with different levels. The old tracks are there as well, you just have to find them. Sky Garden and Cheese Land are my favorite tracks! The best part about his game? You can shoot red shells behind you, and they will wait for your opponents to pass them and automatically go after them! KAPOW!
Overall Rating: 8 out of 10
Zelda: A Link to the Past
Graphics: Not too great, but it was originally for SNES
Music: Good ol' Zelda music.
Objective: Save the Dark and Light worlds from Gannon/rescue Princess Zelda
Times Beaten: ichi (1) XD
My Comments: This game is really long for such an early game. There are tons of dungeons and bosses to beat, and a whole slew of great items to collect. You play as Link, (duh) and are called to stop the evil from spreading around your world. The guards from the castle have already turned evil, and the rest of the land is next! Pull out your sword and shield, and get ready to fight! This game will take you a while, and the dungeons are really challenging! Most of them actually require you to think. Imagine that XD Anyway, this is a great game, and is considered to be one of the best Zelda games ever! If you have played Ocarina of Time, then you will notice some similarities. If you like Zelda, you shouldn't miss this one!
Overall Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10
-NEW!- Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga
Graphics: Very good!
Music: Really fits the levels/catchy
Objective: Save the Beanbean Kingdom from Bowletta!
Times Beaten: 1
My Comments: Finally! I loved Paper Mario and Super Mario RPG, and this one is almost as good! You play as, of course, Mario and Luigi. Unfortunatly, you can't have anyone else on your party, but that doesn't take away from the game. There are several levels to go through, and bosses to beat. Performing brother attacks and action commands will boost the damage you deal! There are also many funny refferences to past Mario games. Like Paper Mario, there is a lot of humor XD The game peaks at about 20 hours, and I highly reccomend it if you enjoyed Paper Mario or Super Mario RPG!
Overall Rating: 9 1/2 out of 10
Game Boy is out of the way. Now for Nintendo 64. My master has a bunch of these games!
Nintendo 64
Super Mario 64
Graphics: They changed the face of gaming!
Music: Very catchy
Objective: Collect as many stars as you can to defeat Bowser and save princess Peach. (They finally gave her a real name instead of always calling her princess Toadstool)
Times Beaten: Atleast 20
My Comments: I remember I wanted this game so badly. One of my friends had it, and we would play it for hours. I worked all summer to save enough money for an N64 and the game. I wasn't dissapointed either. The game was long and tons of fun. Mario decides to pay princess Peach a visit when she invites him over for cake. When he gets there, the castle is deserted except for a few toads. Mario then discovers that he must recover the stolen power stars that are hidden in the paintings. Get ready, there are 120 of them! Finding them all will be quite a task. Hazey Maze Cave and the Ghost House are my favorite levels. Gotta love that monster that looks like a lapras in Hazey Maze Cave;)
Overall Rating: 9 out of 10
Mario Party 3
Graphics: Pretty good since it's one of the later N64 games.
Music: VERY catchy and will get stuck in your head.
Objective: Collect the most stars on the Battle Royal maps, and defeat your opponent using partners in the Dueling maps.
Times Beaten: Once with yoshi so far
My Comments: I rented this game about 2 years ago and beat it. I only recently bought it, so I am working on beating it again. What's the object? Well, the Millenium Star has just fallen to Earth, and everyone wants to keep it! It is decided that the best way to determine who keeps it is to play Mario Party! Off to the battle royal map you go. There are many different ways to set up the game, so choose which way you like best. You are playing on a giant map that looks like a board game. Blue spaces give you coins, red spaces take them away. There are many other bonus spaces as well as not so good spaces. Once everyone has taken their turn, you all play a mini game. There are tons of these mini games, so it will take a while to play them all. My favorite mini games are Snowball Summit, Eatsa Pizza, and Storm Chasers!
Overall Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10
Banjo Kazooie
Graphics: Bout the same as Mario 64
Music: Extremely catchy
Objective: Rescue your little sister Tootie from the evil witch Gruntilda.
Times Beaten: Around 15
My Comments: This was another fun game. Some people said it was a clone of Mario 64, but there is more to it. You are after puzzle pieces instead of stars in this game. The puzzle pieces can be used to fill in the missing pieces of paintings which, when completed, will open the worlds. The heroes are, of course, Banjo and Kazooie. Sound familiar? That's where Kazoookie got her name. Anyway, Banjo's little sister, Tootie (they couldn't come up with a better name??) has been kidnapped by Gruntilda who is after her youth and beauty. Kinda the whole Snow White thing about wanting to be fairest. Well, Banjo and Kazooie set out to rescue her. There are many different worlds to discover, and friends who will aid you along the way. Bottles the mole will pop up every now and then in the levels to teach you new abilities. This game is full of laughs and lots of fun. Kazooie's mouth is always running, and constantly gets her and Banjo in trouble. That's the best part though!
Overall Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10
Banjo Tooie
Graphics: Slightly better than Banjo Kazooie
Music: Still as catchy as ever.
Objective: Gruntilda is back, get her before she zombifies everyone!
Times Beaten: once
My Comments: This game had a lot more to do than the first one, but I still think the first one is my favorite. In this game, Kazooie can turn into a green dragon though. She can breath fire and everything! It's a lot of fun when she learns how to glide, too. The storyline of this game takes off when Gruntilda finally escapes from the huge boulder that fell on her in the first one. She has been down there for a long time, and looks pretty nasty when she gets out. Her powers are as strong as ever, and she blasts your poor friend Bottles. Banjo goes after her to find himself on another mission. When he gets to the jinjo village, he discovers that Gruntilda has a machine for turning the inhabitants into zombies, and stealing their life force for herself. Get ready to search for more puzzle pieces and master the new moves so you can beat that evil witch once more!

Mariokart 64
Graphics: Very well done
Music: Catchy, and fits the levels.
Objective: RACE!
Times Beaten: Atleast 30 on all cups.
My Comments: An upgraded version of Super Mariokart can't go wrong! This one is full of new tracks and tricks to play on the other racers. I wish they didn't replace the koopa troopa with Wario though. I don't care much for Wario. The game is very well done and the tracks are long. Rainbow Road is the longest and most colorful. Battle mode has got to be the best part about this game! Grab a friend, and duke it out to see who will triumph! You only get three hits each!
Overall Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10
Diddy Kong Racing
Graphics: Pretty good! Lots of color.
Music: Extremely catchy
Objective: Race! Beat Wizpig on Adventure Mode.
Times Beaten: Many, many times on all modes.
My Comments: This is a really fun racing game! It has many things to do, and places to explore as well as tracks to race upon. When you get done racing the 4 tracks in an area, you can challenge the boss there. If you beat him, then he asks you to race the 4 tracks in his domain again to obtain all the silver coins he has hidden. When you succeed, you will have to race the boss again, and this time, he is a lot tougher. If you beat him, he will give you a piece of the Wizpig Amulet. All 4 pieces will earn you the right to face Wizpig. He is pretty tough, but don't give up. When you beat him, you can follow him up to space and race on my favorite tracks. Spacedust Alley and Star City are the most fun, and have the best music!

Donkey Kong 64
Graphics: Very well done
Music: Very fitting for the levels, and catchy
Objective: Beat King K. Rool and stop him from blowing up your island.
Times Beaten: twice, I believe
My Comments: This game is truley superior to the other Donkey Kong games. The graphics are better, there is a lot more to do, and each Kong has their own weapon, instrument, special ability, and so forth. The concept is pretty much the same. Starting out as only Donkey Kong, you must go through the levels to free your friends who have been captured. Naturally, you find Diddy first. Now the objective is to go through the levels searching for golden bananas. The more you get, the more you will be able to do. Different levels will open based on how many mini bananas you find. Eventually you will gain enough to beat that bad croc once more.
Overall Rating: 8 out of 10
Yoshi's Story
Graphics: 2-d world, but still very well done.
Music: It could possibly be in your head for the next decade.
Objective: (This sounds really corny!) Steal back the Super Happy Tree from bad ol' Baby Bowser.
Times Beaten: Lost count
My Comments: This game actually shocked me at first. I beat it in a little over an hour when I first got it. There are several levels that I missed in the process though. This game seems small until you figure out how to unlock more of the levels when you move on in Story Mode. There are several fun bonus levels to play. Box tipping is my favorite. Carry a huge stack of boxes across the finish line while trying to keep them balanced. If they fall over, you lose! Other than the bonus levels, the playable levels are a lot of fun too. Several things are hidden in each level. You will run into old friends like Poochy, and some new ones that I won't give away:) Eventually this game becomes one of those "how many times can I beat my own score" things.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Graphics: Very well done!
Music: Fits the levels very well.
Objective: Stop Ganondorf from obtaining the Triforces and taking over Hyrule!
Times Beaten: Around 10
My Comments: One of the most loved Zelda games ever. This one is full of many emotional moments as well as tons of action. You start out as Link of course, and you wake up from a horrible nightmare. You live in the Kokiri Forest with all your friends. They all have their own faries, but you never got one. Finally you get your own when Navi comes to inform you that the Great Deku Tree wishes to speak with you. Your journey begins here. Find the Deku Tree, and listen to what he has to say. He tells you that he has been infested with an evil, and you have to go in after it. Make your way through the Deku tree, and find the boss that is destroying him. After you defeat the boss, the Deku Tree tells you that you did very well, but it was too late for him before you started. With a few last words, he instructs you with what to do next. He also appoints Navi as your permanent helper fairy! Your friend named Saria bids you farewell as you leave, and gives you an ocarina. This is only the beginning! I won't give anymore away. I do HIGHLY reccomend this game to everyone.

Zelda: Majora's Mask
Graphics: Very well done!
Music: Very suited to the levels.
Objective: Retrieve Majora's Mask before the moon crashes into Clock Town.
Times Beaten: Twice
My Comments: Another great game! This one was much shorter than Ocarina of Time, but still had plenty to do. You start out as Link and you are riding your horse through a forest. Suddenly, you get attacked and knocked out. The thief then steals your ocarina and your horse. Better get after him, quick! You will chase him down a tree where he decides to turn you into a Deku Scrub with the power of his evil mask! This part of the game is probably the most annoying. Deku Scrubs are tiny, and take a lot of damage from fire. However, you do get to jump out of flowers and float for a while. Anyway, when you reach the gates of Clock Town, a man informs you that a really powerful mask was stolen from him. You all may remember this man as the happy mask man from Ocarina of Time. He tells you that the moon will fall into Clock Town if the mask is not returned. Now the serious journey begins. You only have 3 days to retrieve the mask! Once you retrieve your ocarina, you can slow time way down, so don't freak out just yet. There are many places to explore and friends to make. You will collect many different masks along the way. Each of them will have different powers. My favorite is the Stone Mask. Nothing like being invisible to everyone! Many people say this game isn't nearly as good as Ocarina of Time, and it is true. It is still worth playing, if you wanted to know.

Super Smash Bros.
Graphics: Little blocky here and there, but still very good for N64.
Music: Really gets you in the mood to kick butt!
Objective: Beat all your opponents!
Times Beaten: Well over 50
My Comments: This is another one of my favorite games ever! I got it for my 15th birthday, and have loved it ever since. I don't play it much anymore since Super Smash Bros. Melee has come out, but it still holds a place of respect among my favorite video games. Basicly, you pick a character that you want to play as, and beat everyone else up! They are all Nintendo characters, so you will know most of them. A couple of pokemon make an appearance as well. Pikachu is my favrorite character. I could beat anyone with him, so don't be dissing the little yellow furball! There are secret character to unlock, and many different modes to play. Grab 3 friends and have a huge smash fest!
Overall Rating: 9 1/2 out of 10
Paper Mario
Graphics: Papery!
Music: Very catchy and fits the levels.
Objective: Get the Star Rod back from Bowser, and save the Princess, her castle, and the Star Spirits.
Times Beaten: 5
My Comments: Very fun game! I wish it was longer. In this game, you have all the goodness of the Mario games, only everything is flat and papery! Bowser has made off with the Star Rod, and kidnapped the Star Spirits! He makes an appearance at Peach's castle, and crashes the party she is having. He had secretly moved his fortress underneath her castle, and launches both of them into space. Mario immediatly comes to the rescue. He fights Bowser right off, but can't hurt him when he powers up with the star rod. Bowser defeats him easily and Mario plummets to Earth in his papery form. The goombas of Goomba Village find him unconcious in the woods, and care for him until he recovers. How will he ever get back up to the castle when it is floating in outer space? I won't give anymore away about the story. This game is an rpg, and is very much like Super Mario RPG for Super Nintendo. You will meet many colorful characters who will join you on your mission for their own reasons. They all have different and very useful abilities. Watt is my favorite character! There's nothing like zapping your enemies. I wish you could take one of the baby yoshis in Yoshi village though.

Pokemon Stadium
Graphics: Little blocky here and there, but still very good for N64.
Music: Good for the battles.
Objective: Use your pokemon from your pokemon red/blue/yellow game boy games to conquer new opponents!
Times Beaten: Several
My Comments: I was so excited when this game came out. The way I had it pictured, you could fight any of the pokemon like a giant super smash bros. game. Of course that is not how it goes, but the game is still lots of fun. You can battle your pokemon from your game boy pokemon packs, and see them in 3-d! Pikachu from pokemon yellow even talks! The rest of them just make their normal noises. You can pit your pokemon against the gym leaders in gym leader tower, or you can have free battles with your friends. There is a hall of fame for the pokemon that beat the Elite 4, and also a surprise. I won't say what happens when you vanquish the Elite 4, but it's something good!
Overall Rating: 8 out of 10
Pokemon Stadium 2
Graphics: A little better than the first.
Music: Better!
Objective: Now you can use your pokemon from gold/silver/crystal to defeat your opponents!
Times Beaten: 7 or so
My Comments: Not much difference from the first pokemon stadium. The big issue is that you can use pokemon from gold/silver/crystal to battle. If you caught any of those shiny pokemon, they will be their unique colors in the game! *pets her purple butterfree* All 251 pokemon may be used. There are some new features such as a training school, (which really does help even the best pokemon trainers) and a library full of pokemon info.
Overall Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10
Pokemon Snap
Graphics: Very good for n64!
Music: Boy does this get stuck in your head...
Objective: Take award winning pictures of all the pokemon in the game.
Times Beaten: atleast 10
My Comments: Ah finally, a peaceful pokemon game. In this one, you take pictures of the little guys instead of forcing them to tear each other apart. You get to be the photographer Todd, and you are in search of the legendary pokemon, Mew. Capturing the perfect shot of a Mew is your dream! Until then, you head off to many different levels to take pictures of the pokemon residing in them. Sadly, only a fraction of the pokemon are in this game, but it should cover a lot of favorites. Journey through beaches, volcanoes, and caves to capture the ultimate pokemon pictures. When you complete a level, Professor Oak will rate your pictures for you. See how many times you can beat your own score!

Pokemon Puzzle League
Graphics: Pretty good actually
Music: It is rather catchy.
Objective: Beat the Puzzle Master!
Times Beaten: Several up to Super Hard... where I get murdered x_x
My Comments: This is one of those addicting games that you will be playing until you go mad. There are many difficulty levels. See how far you can get. I can't beat Super Hard x_x Anyway, this is a puzzle game of course, and you need to master combos and chains to be victorious. Switch blocks around, and connect 3 to make them dissapear. Once you get the hang of it, you will be going very fast. The first few difficulty levels are a sinch... until you get to hard. That gets a little trickier. Then very hard is a problem. You will beat it in time. Wait till you see who is waiting for you at the end! There are several modes of play including a Spa Service run by Team Rocket, and a marathon mode where you play for a high score. There are also puzzle games which require you to actually think! Amazing!
My High Scores:
Marathon mode 2D: 48,751
Marathon Mode 3D: 105,970
Time Zone 2D: 9,428

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Graphics: Pretty good.
Music: Very Catchy
Objective: Retrieve all the crystal shards that have been scattered over the stars.
Times Beaten: around 5
My Comments: This game isn't much for the advanced Kirby player, but it is fun for a little while. You still get to inhale enemies and steal their powers. You can even combine them much easier. It is, however, much easier than your average Kirby game. You'll beat it in a good 4 hours. Finding all the shards is more of a challenge. There is also a 2 player mode with some fun mini games, and of course, bosses to beat. Overall, a good game, but don't expect any huge challenge.
Overall Rating: 7 out of 10
So that was Nintendo 64! Phew! Next up is Gamecube! My master adores it!
Gamecube
Luigi's Mansion
Graphics: Awesome!
Music: Very catchy and creepy
Objective: Rid your house of ghosts while trying to track down your missing brother, Mario. (don't worry... no relation to Mario Is Missing)
Times Beaten: 5
My Comments: I was amazed at the graphics the first time I played this game. I got it for Christmas in 2001 along with Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pikmin. In this game, you play as Luigi. You are given a haunted mansion as a prize in a contest you didn't even enter. Your brother Mario has also gone missing. You must fight your way through the mansion while catching menacing ghosts, and collecting valuable items. To fight the ghosts, you have only a gaddlight (a flashlight), a poltergust 3000 (a vacuum) and your good judgement. You will discover clues along the way as to the whereabouts of your dear brother. Eventually you will find him... but I'm not going to give everything away;) Overall this game is lots of fun to play. Especially on a stormy night.

Super Smash Bros. Melee
Graphics: Awesome!
Music: Very catchy/fits the levels
Objective: Battle!
Times Beaten: A ton
My Comments: This game is every SSB fan's fantasy! Complete with tons of fighting modes, plenty of new arenas, lots more characters, and challenging battles, this game is a huge step up from the old Super Smash Bros. game. However, the old one will always be a classic. Take your best character and see how many modes you can clear. There is a regular one player mode with Master Hand at the end, Adventure Mode, Survival Mode, and many others. You have 16 characters to choose from, but you can uncover many more. There are also 4 different pokemon you can choose as characters! My best character will always be pikachu. No one beats me with him! *fights off everyone*

Pikmin
Graphics: Beautiful!
Music: Fits the levels very well.
Objective: Retrieve all the pieces of your spaceship within 30 days to survive!
Times Beaten: 7 or so
My Comments: I adore this game! Every time I play it, I get obsessed with it again. There are a ton of areas to cover, so sit back and read:)
You start out as Olimar, a space traveller, who is gliding smoothly through space in his beloved ship, the Dolphin. Suddenly, a stray asteroid slams into his ship! He loses control, and conciousness. When he awakens, he finds himself on a very beautiful planet. Unfortunatly, his ship has been destroyed, and most of it's pieces scattered all over this strange new world. Only the body of his ship remains. As if that wasn't bad enough, he detects that there is oxygen on this planet, and it is poisonous to his people. As long as he has his space suit on, he can survive. However, the space suit only functions for 30 days! How can he possibly survive? As he explores the planet, he finds a very peculiar looking pod lying on the ground. When he approaches, it springs up, and expells a tiny seed. The seed falls into the ground, and sprouts! It shines as thought it is calling to him. His curiosity takes over, and he picks the plant from the ground. There before him stood a tiny creature he decides to call a pikmin. This little pikmin follows him around, and chops down tall flowers at his command. It then takes the flower pellet back to it's pod which produces even more seeds! When Olimar sprouts enough pikmin, they can knock down gates, and even... carry really heavy things. While exploring the land with his new little friends, Olimar discovers the engine of his ship! It is lying on the ground waiting for him! How can he possibly get it back to the Dolphin? Amazingly, when he approaches the engine, the pikmin all start to gather around it, and pick it up! They carry it all the way back to his ship! With the engine in tact, he can now atleast take off into the atmosphere to escape the hostile monsters that lurk at night. He now has new hope for getting back home alive with the help of his new friends.

Sonic Adventure 2; Battle
Graphics: Awesome!
Music: Most good, some bad/annoying
Objective: Get the chaos emerald shards, and defeat Dr. Eggman before he controls the world!
Times Beaten: 2
My Comments: A very good game! This is a long awaited fantasy for any lover of Sonic the Hedgehog. The game is in 3-d with very good graphics. There is one downside however... the camera angles are horrible! There are a few occasions where you can get a good shot of what's behind or to the side of you, but very rarely. The camera is practically nailed to your back. It's a different story in Knuckles's/Rouge's levels. With these 2 characters, you are after shards of the master emerald in an inclosed level. In every level, there are small animals which you can rescue. When you unlock the chao gardens, you may allow your chao to play with the animals, and gain some stats. They may also take on some of the characteristics of that certain animal. Let's say you allow one of your chao to play with a tiger. He may sprout orange ears, claws, feet, or even a tail. Raising chao has little effect on the rest of the game, but it is quite addicting. As for the rest of the game, it is all speed! Pyramid Cave is my favorite level! The music is awesome too!

Super Mario Sunshine
Graphics: Superb!
Music: Very good as the music going along with a Mario game should be:)
Objective: Clean up Isle Delfino, and stop the imposter Mario!
Times Beaten: Twice
My Comments: Ok, I beat this game in 5 days. It is much like Mario 64 only with much better graphics, and you have a water pack to fight with. Mario has a lot of his old signature moves such as side kickovers, and wall kicks, but the water pack takes over some of the others. Another similarity is the fact that you are collecting Shine Sprites which are the equivalent of stars. The story of the game is pretty unique however. Mario, Princess Peach, and Toadsworth are taking a vacation to beautiful Isle Delfino. When their plain arrives, the natives arrest Mario claiming that he has been polluting the town with graffiti. Pleading innocent, Mario tries to tell everyone that he didn't do anything. They allow him to leave, but he must clean up the town. Polluted paint is everywhere, so you will have quite a challenge washing it all off. There is an imposter Mario lurking around as well. As you gain Shine Sprites, he will appear more often. My favorite part of this game is being able to ride yoshi in 3-d! Yoshi can spit juice and jump very high. Make sure he doesn't run out of juice, or fall in water, or he will dissapear. There is plenty of tropical fruit to feed him, so just keep your eyes open;) This game always makes me crave pineapple.

Mario Party 4
Graphics: Perfect!
Music: Mostly good, but some of it can get annoying... after 3 hours.
Objective: Perfect your skills on the mini games to win!
Times Beaten: Once, with yoshi:)
My Comments: This game is basicly all the old Mario Party games with better graphics and mini games. They threw out the item games, and 2 player battle mode games, but you still have all the others. The mini games are lots of fun! I love Money Belts, Paths of Peril, Cheep Cheep Sweep, and Trace Race! If you have played any of the old Mario Party games, and liked them, I highly reccomend this one.

Zelda: Wind Waker
Graphics: Cartoony... but cool!
Music: Awesome!
Objective: Ganon is back! Need I say more?
Times Beaten: Once
My Comments: Ok, let me just get this out. I am sooo sick of people saying that this game is dumb before they even play it just because the graphics look cartoony! Nearly everyone who hasn't played it has said that. However, everyone who has played it says that it is fun, and addicting! I loved this game, so don't judge it before you play it. Anyway, you start off as Link (or whatever you name yourself) and you are on your peaceful little island living with your grandmother and little sister Aryll. Aryll comes to tell you that it is your birthday, and you are finally old enough to wear the clothes of the legendary Hero of Time. She finds you sleeping up on the lookout tower, and quickly wakes you. Now it's time to head home and accept the hero clothes from your grandmother. You don't seem to like them much, so your grandmother assures you that you only have to wear them for the day to carry on the tradition. You run back up to the lookout tower to find your sister and show her. She then gives you your birthday present. Not really much of a present... she just lets you borrow her telescope for the day. As you look through it, you see a huge bird flying over your island with a girl in it's claws! A pirate ship is chasing it, and shoots it. This causes the bird to drop the girl into the woods at the top of the mountain. Immediatly you set out to help her. With sword and shield in hand, you climb the mountain. You finally see her hanging from a tree, and fight off some monsters to save her. She then falls out of the tree, and one of her ship mates comes to get her. With little notice to you, she starts to walk away. You follow her, and see that your sister is coming to meet you. She is happy that you rescued the girl, and starts to cross the rope bridge to congratulate you. While in the middle of the bridge, the giant bird swoops down and grabs her! Link can only watch helplessly as she is carried off. Now the real game begins! Save your sister before something horrible happens to her! There are many long and thought provoking dungeons as well as secrets, treasures, and the usual sword tricks. There is a huge ocean littered with tons of islands to explore. Once you get your boat, you will be able to sail to them all using the Wind Waker to change the direction of the wind. This game has plot twists, as well as the usual surprises. You will be on it for a long time!

Skies of Arcadia: Legends
Graphics: Great!
Music: Very good... a lot of it will be in your head for days.
Objective: Find the 6 moon crystals before the Valuans use them to forcefully take over the world.
Times Beaten: 2
My Comments: This game was great!! The story was awesome! It was originally for Sega Dreamcast, but they re-did it for the Gamecube as they did with Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I bought it used at my job, and was playing it for the next 3 weeks. It quickly became one of my favorite RPGs ever! This game is full of excitement, plot twists, and lots of humor. I love a game that can make me laugh;) Anyway, you play as Vyse, a young Blue Rogue Pirate. Ok, first you have to know that there are two kinds of pirates in Arcadia. Blue Rogues are the pirates that steal from merchants, and don't believe in killing if it is not necessary. Black Pirates will steal, kill, kidnap women, and destroy anything they want to whenever they want to. To a Blue Rogue, not taking prisoners means that they let the people that they steal from go free. To a Black Pirate, not taking prisoners means they kill everyone. See the differences there? Anyway, Vyse sails the skies with his best friend, Aika, and father, Dyne on his father's pirate ship. Yup, all the ships in this game fly! While looting and taking over a Valuan ship, Vyse discovers that the Valuans had kidnapped a young girl, and were trying to escape with her. He and Aika go against a Valuan Admiral named Alfonso to save the unconcious stranger. After defeating his pet warthog/anteater looking thing, he escapes. Vyse and Aika take the girl to their ship, and wait for her to wake up. When she awakens, Vyse and Aika ask her why the Valuans were after her. She says that she cannot say because she is on a top secret mission. Vyse and Aika offer to take her back to their secret base where she would be safe. She agrees, and introduces herself as Fina.
Most Air Pirates have their own island secret base disguised as a peaceful village. The ship docks inside the island so anyone who passed by won't be able to see it. The air pirates can live peacefully on top of the island as normal people when they aren't sailing. Vyse and Aika show Fina around the village, and take her to the lookout tower. While they are all watching the sunset, they spot a falling moonstone (kinda like a metorite, but is used for fuel, and is very valuable) which lands on a nearby island. Aika and Vyse decide to go and retrieve the moonstone the next day. Fina stays behind on the island to wait for their return. While they are gone, the Valuans attack their secret base, destroying nearly everything on it. They also kidnap Fina once again, and take the rest of the air pirates prisoner, including Vyse's dad. (The penatly for pircay in Valua is a public execution) When Vyse and Aika return, they discover what has happened, and Vyse vows to break his dad, and the rest of the air pirates out of Valua. The only problem is, the only way into Valua is a huge iron door that only opens once a day. No one has ever escaped Valua alive. I was hooked as soon as I had to go after Vyse's dad. Vyse will make lots of friends on his quest, and have the chance to make his dreams of being the captain of his own ship come true. There are tons of ship battles as well as random battles with different monsters. Eventually, Fina will reveal her secret quest to you, and you will join her. I highly reccomend this game, but only if you have lots of time on your hands. Juggling work, and wanting to play this game at the same time wasn't very appealing, lol!

-NEW!- Animal Crossing
Graphics: Very good!
Music: Some good, some bad (depends on time of day)
Objective: Upgrade your house, manager your town, etc.
Times Beaten: you can't really beat this one...
My Comments: Wow, is this game ever REALLY addictive. You start out moving to a new town, and getting your own place. You have to earn money (bells) to upgrade your house which first starts out as a tiny shack. Doing odd jobs for your neighbors (who are all animals) can earn you some extra bells and items. After a while, new neighbors will move in, and sometimes they will move out too. Some of your neighbors are nicer than others, so just try to be polite. There's tons to do in this game including fishing, digging holes, planting trees/flowers wherever you want, visiting other people's towns (if you have a friend's memory card with Animal Crossing data), catching bugs, pulling weeds, decorating your house to appease the HRA, and lots more! This is one of those games that you just keep playing day after day to see what happens.

-NEW!- One Piece Treasure Battle (japanese)
Graphics: Very good!
Music: REALLY catchy
Objective: Get the treasure chest to your goal, and keep it there! Also, collect all the One Piece cards XD
Times Beaten: Several on Easy, Hard, and Normal. Once on Very Hard.
My Comments: Ok, picture Super Smash Bros. and then add keepaway! That's pretty much what this game is. It has all the main characters from One Piece, and you can unlock many more! The main game centers around treasure battles. There are two people on a team, and two teams. You and your team mate must nab the treasure chest in the middle, and get it to your goal. You must keep it there until your ship gets to you to win the round. If the other team steals it, you have to desperatly try to get it back before they get it into their goal. There are lots of fighting moves, and even special tecniques! Luffy uses his Gomu Gomu No Bazoooka, and Zoro uses his Oni Giri to name a couple. Each time you win, you get to keep whatever One Piece card is inside the chest. Try and collect them all!

My Comments: The graphics are no doubt the best side of this game. It has a very good storyline as well, but the first thing you notice is the beauty of the art. I suggest you don't start playing it unless you plan on being hooked on a game for the next month. You start out playing as Tidus. He is a blitzball champion that lives in Zanarkand. Tidus is playing a game of blitzball at the local stadium when a giant monster begins attacking Zanarkand! Everyone is fleeing the city as you are trying to figure out what's going on. While leaving the stadium, you meet Auron. He fills you in on what is happening, and tells you to follow him. You and Auron fight off some monsters, but end up getting sucked into another dimension by an evil creature known as Sin. You wake up all alone in a depressing place that resembles some kind of ruin. As you wander around, you are attacked by a giant fish. You narrowly escape into an underground tunnel, but the fish rams it and seals you inside. Now, not only are you alone, you have no food, and no way of getting out. I think I'll stop there;) Keep in mind that this is only the first 45 minutes or so of the game. I had 75 hours on it before I finally beat it. There are many surprizes, and plot twists to keep you playing. Aeons are also a main focus. Ixion and Valefor are my favorites!

Chrono Cross
Graphics: Very impressive for PS
Music: Excellent!
Objective: Save the future of two worlds while trying to defy Fate.
Times Beaten: 3
My Comments: Another one of my favorite games ever! There is so much to adore about this game. The plot will draw you in almost immediatly. This game is full of different emotions; happy moments, serious battles, and tear jerking events. I will admit to tearing up in several different places... and that is rare for me in video games. So what is the plot like? Ok, get a drink or something... *takes a deep breath* You start out as a boy named Serge. You are with two of your comrades at Fort Dragonia. (You will learn more about this later) Basicly, this whole part, which lasts about 20 minutes, is a forshadowing of what is to come. The real story begins in the peaceful village of Arni. Serge hears his mother calling him. She wakes him up and tells him that he has overslept. He was supposed to meet one of his good friends named Leena a while ago. Serge quickly leaves the house to go and look for her. He finds her at the docks babysitting some kids. She blames him for being late, and tells him to go to Lizard Rock to get her some Komodo Dragon Scales for a necklace to make it up to her. He agrees, and sets out for Lizard Rock. After obtaining the scales, he meets Leena on the beach. They are talking about the future, and where they will be when Serge suddenly gets pulled through a wormhole into another time! He awakens on the same beach... but can find Leena nowhere. He goes back to his village to find her, but something is wrong. Leena has no idea who he is! When Serge tries to tell her that he lives next to her, she says that is impossible. She then explains that the boy who used to live next to her died a long time ago! She tells you to go visit his grave on Cape Howl. You agree, and head for the cliff. Sure enough, Serge's name is on the gravestone. He is confused by all this, but before he can react, 3 men attack him! They say they are out to arrest him, but what could he have possibly done? Suddenly, a mysterious girl appears. She jumps in to aid you in battle. Together, you defeat the 3 men, and they leave in a huff. The girl introduces herself as Kid, and asks if you would like her to be your partner. Will you accept? That's all I'm going to say for now. This is just the dawn of your adventure. You will meet over 40 different playable characters along the way. Draggy and Pip are my favorites! There's nothing like a Big Breath Attack;) Anyway, I highly reccomend this game for any rpg lover. It is definetly a must have.

Chrono Trigger
Graphics: Not bad!
Music: Really catchy, and well done.
Objective: Save the future of the world from Lavos.
Times Beaten: One
My Comments: This is the same exact game as the version for SNES except with slightly better graphics and sound quality. There are some added movies also which make it well worth the price! The DBZ art really shows!

Dragonball Z Budokai
Graphics: Very good!
Music: Really gets you in the mood to fight
Objective: Fight! Build your skills to beat every fighting mode.
Times Beaten: Through Advanced Tournament Mode/all of Story Mode
My Comments: Oh yeah, a DBZ fighting game! This one is sure to satisfy any DBZ lover's taste for battle. You get to play as most of the characters including Yamucha, Tien, and even Mr. Satan! Trunks is by far my favorite though. Burning Attack kills everything! Do your best to play through all the fighting modes. There are 3 skill levels in Tournament Mode, and Story Mode covers Saiyan Saga through the end of the Cell Saga! Play as your favorite characters, and win the most famous battles for yourself! The game religiously follows the show. One thing I thought was funny are all the spelling errors! I don't know who was working on the dubbing, but they really could have used spell-check. As for the voices, they are exactly the same as they are in the show! This is the best part of the entire game!

Grandia
Graphics: Not so great, but it doesn't take away from the game. Also, it's a Sega Saturn port.
Music: Very good!
Objective: Explore the world to find the lost city of Alent.
Times Beaten: once
My Comments: Get ready for a freaking long game. There's tons of places to go in this RPG. You play as this kid named Justin who loves to explore. While exploring with his friend Sue, he finds himself in the middle of a great adventure. After hearing about this lost city called Alent, he decides to leave home and travel there, exploring the world on the way. The battle system in this game is lots of fun. Probably the best thing about it. The music is really good and catchy too. Anyway, this game is lots of fun, and constantly has surprises around the corner.

Grandia 2
Graphics: Not so good for PS2, but this was a Dreamcast port.
Music: Not too shabby:)
Objective: Try to save Elena's soul from the wings of Valmar.
Times Beaten: 1
My Comments: Heh, not a bad game at all! It took me a little while to get into it, but after I did, I couldn't put it down. You play as Ryudo. He is a geohound, (guy who gets paid to do certain jobs) and he is very sarcastic! It's actually pretty funny some of the things he says sometimes. He also has a bird-falcon looking thing named Skye. Anyway, Ryudo gets hired by a priest at a church to be a bodyguard to Elena, a songstress of Granas (God). His job is to take her up to a tower where she will meet the rest of her fellow sisters, and perform an excorsism. Then he must bring her safely back to the church. They hate each other at first, but Ryudo must protect her none the less. When they get to the tower, Ryudo is asked to wait outside while they all perform their duty. He bitterly agrees, and waits for what seems like hours. Suddenly, he hears Elena scream from inside, and quickly goes to her rescue. (only because he won't get paid if she dies XD) When he reaches the top of the tower, he finds all the sisters dead, and Elena in some kind of black ball of light. She then sprouts black wings. Ryudo decides to get her out of there fast, and jumps out the window on a lead line. Elena awakens, and asks what went on. Ryudo basicly tells her that all her friends died, and she had sprouted black wings with no compassion whatsoever. Elena gets very upset, but Ryudo doesn't care. His job is to get her back to the church. When she arrives at the church, she explains to the priest what happened. He knows right away that she has been possessed by the Wings of Valmar (the devil) The priest asks her to go and rest in her room so that he can talk alone with Ryudo. When she leaves, he asks Ryudo if he will take her to see the Pope. If she doesn't get help, her soul will be destroyed by the Wings of Valmar.
Sound pretty interesting? It's definetly a game that RPG lovers would adore. The story is pretty good, and the battles are great! The game has a very unique battle style. Another plus would be that the sound quality is very good! The game isn't that expensive, so it's definetly a good choice for those of us without a lot of cash.

Xenosaga
Graphics: Very good!
Music: Pretty good... for what there is.
Objective: Stop the Gnosis!
Times Beaten: once
My Comments: This was a pretty good game. The graphics are great, and the story is... confusing. I can understand since this was the first game in a series, but they left an aweful lot unexplained. Anyway, you play as a woman named Shion, and you are working on a weapon system named KOS MOS. KOS MOS is designed especially to fight Gnosis which kinda float around in space and kill things. Your ship gets attacked, KOS MOS wakes up, blah blah blah, moving on. Sorry I don't sound too enthusiastic about this game. It was a really good game, but a lot of it seemed tedius to me. So anyway, once you get into this game, it is really good. It's probably the first game that really freaked me out. One of the bad guys named Albedo is really psychotic, and just plain freaky O_O They had to tone down the gore in this game in a certain area, but I don't want to give anything away. It would be cool to play the original Japanese version to see the parts they cut out. So yeah, the game is good if you can get into it, but don't expect to understand anything at first. We will probably all be lost until the next game comes out.

.Hack Infection
Graphics: Very good!
Music: Most good, some annoying.
Objective: Save your friend Orca from falling into a coma from playing in The World.
Times Beaten: once
My Comments: This is an action rpg, so it's a little different from a regular turn based rpg. The story starts out with Kite being invited to an online game called The World by his friend who is named Orca in The World. While going through a dungeon with Orca, a monster attacks, and data drains him. Kite tries to figure out what happened, and finds out that his friend had fallen into a coma in the real world. Now, Kite must play the game and try to find out what caused this to happen, and find the cure. The story progresses from here, as you go through random keyworded dungeons. Kite makes several friends who decide to help him for their own reasons. As for the game play, it's very good! You have your basic attacks, magic attacks, and skills. You may form a party, and take 2 other people with you into a dungeon. This makes it much easier to level up without having to take on the monsters by yourself. Anyway, the game is very addictive, and is the first in a 4 game series.

.Hack Mutation
Graphics: Very good!
Music: Same as the first game
Objective: Same as the first game
Times Beaten: once
My Comments: This game is basicly the continuation of the last one. The story moves along a little more, and there are a couple of really hard bosses. You get some more members to your party, and new, better weapons and armor. Yes, the company that made this game could have shoved this one into the first, but for the purposes of ripping people off, and making more money by selling 2 games at retail instead of one, they didn't. Life is hard, I know XD Due to my addiction, I couldn't keep myself from continuing the story.

-NEW!- .Hack Outbreak
Graphics: Very good!
Music: Same as the first game
Objective: Same as the first game
Times Beaten: once
My Comments: This game also continues from the second. The infection is spreading from the game into the real world, and time is running our for the coma victims. Can Kite find the identity of the mysterious Wave? Will Helba and Lios lend a hand? Hehe, I'm not telling >:) Can't wait to play through the last game!
