Hello, there! My name is Meg. I like Tonus.
It is true that Tonus are a completely underrated pet.
Due to this sad fact, I want to share my love of Tonus with all of Neopia!
With your help, we can bring awareness to how awesome the Tonu species truly is!
To do so, I ask you to neomail me the name and colour of any Tonu that you own and love.
I will then add your Tonu to the appropriate category. Please, no labbies :)

Tonu the Tonu
Meet.. Tonu!
Tonu is my pet that I am the most proud of.
During the time of the purge of pet and account names, beautiful Tonu was created! I traded some extremely high end pets for my girly, and love her
to death!
On February 21, 2011, I morphed Tonu into a Tonu, and painted her Baby!
^.^
Other than my extreme passion for the species, Tonu was my biggest inspiration in creating The Tonu Directory.
Tonu loves fan art! -hint hint- , and she finally convinced me to me to make a section for all of your beautiful art work!
Creating a Tonu
There has been some dispute over the years of how to actually create a Tonu. Since Tonus are a "Limited Edition" Neopet, the process is
a bit more difficult than other Neopets.
Tonus are "supposed" to be creatable when the Giant Omelette is gone.
However, after much extensive research, it seems that creating Tonus once the omelette is gone may just be an old wive's tale..
.. We may never understand the mystery of the Giant omelette.
HOWEVER!
We do know of many other ways that you can soon create your own Tonu!
(In order from least expensive, to most expensive).
1. Tonu Transmogrification Potion:
This is a potion that after letting your pet drink it, they will turn into a Mutant Tonu!
These potions are given out during Random Events by Dr. Sloth, and can also be found at the Trading Post and the Auctions.
2. Morphing Potion:
This is a potion that after letting your pet drink it, they will turn into a Tonu! The colour depends on which Morphing Potion you use.
For example, a "Purple Tonu Morphing Potion" will turn your pet into a Purple Tonu.
These potions can be found at Kauvera's, as well as the Trading Post and the Auctions.
3. The Secret Lab Ray:
You can bring any pet to the Secret Laboratory and have your pet "zapped". The Lab Ray can be a pricey option,
running at over 1 million neopoints.
The Lab Ray can change your pet's species, colour and stats. It cannot turn your pet into a Krawk or Draik, as
well as the colours Pirate, Plushie, Royal or Baby.
It can change your pet into any Limited Edition species, including a Tonu!
The Lab Ray zaps are completely random.
Secret Map pieces can be obtained from Random Events and from playing Key Quest, as well as the Trading Post and the Auctions.
4. Magical Plushies:
A Magical Plushie is a very expensive plushie that you make your pet play with, and it changes its colour and species!
For example, if you let your pet play with a "Magical Yellow Tonu Plushie",
your pet will transform into a Yellow Tonu!
This is not the most neopoint-efficient way to obtain a Tonu, but it is a way, nonetheless!
Magical Plushies can be bought at the Plushie Palace, as well as through the Trading Post and the Auctions.
