You select an item from the menu and Tomello quickly pulls out a pad of paper from his coat and jots down your order.
Your order shouldn't take more than a few minutes to prepare, so if you'll excuse me, I will get started on it right away!
The pudgy scorchio nods and swiftly disappears behind the door located behind the counter, which you assume leads to the kitchen.
Several minutes later, the door swings open once more, but you do not see the chocolate scorchio carrying your dish, instead you see what looks like a gingerbread man.
The cookie neatly sets your plate with the scrumptious chocolate food infront of you. He bows and turns away to return to the mysterious kitchen door.
You can't help but immediately indulge in eating the confection, comepletey unaware that Tomello has returned and is standing by your table side.
How is it, if I may ask?
You slowly look up. This is amazing! I.. I have never tasted chocolate this great before!
Hehe, well, as a chocolatier, I take a great pride in my work and try my best to make my creations just perfect.
Wow... But um... What is a.. chocolatier..?
Well I'm glad you asked.
Tomello sits in the chair across from you and begins to explain.
There is a big difference between someone who is a chocolatier and someone who is a chocolate maker.
A Chocolatier (chaw-coh-law-teer) is someone who makes and sells chocolate.
A Chocolate Maker is someone who makes their own chocolate from scratch. Here in Neopia, a chocolate maker would use a cocoa juppie to make their own chocolate.
Because I do not have the technology to create my own chocolate, I buy couverture chocolate (coo-ver-cher chaw-coh-let) which is a form of chocolate that contains harvested cocoa beans and other ingredients. With this chocolate, chocolatiers (like myself) melt it down and craft it into the beautiful chocolates you see here.
There is only one chocolate maker in all of Neopia and that is the Chocolate Factory owner. He is the only one I will ever buy my couverture chocolate from. There are, however, a few more chocolatiers in the world. Sadly, none of them are very well known but each and everyone of them attends the Annual Chocolate Ball.
Speaking of the Chocolate Ball...
My cafe is open every day of the year with the exception of bank holidays, and a few special events that happen throughout the year. But! Once those events are over, I return straight back to my cafe and return to business! However, in any case where you may want chocolate, these dates may be of use to you so you don't go wasting your time to find something that won't be there.
14th Day of Awakening - Valentine's Day
A special day dedicated to all the lovers of Neopia, and how do they show their affection? By buying chocolate, of course!
This is the only special day I keep my cafe open to the public. Every year on this special day, I bring out all my heartfelt chocolates so you may buy a delicious box for your loved one.. or even yourself! ;D
14th Day of Running - Scorchio Day
Seeing how I am a Scorchio, it only makes sense
to have the cafe closed on a day to celebrate my species existance, wouldn't you agree? :)
During the week prior to Scorchio Day, I create special Scorchio-themed chocolates to celebrate!
15th Day of Gathering - The Annual Chocolate Ball
Every year since the start of the Annual Chocolate Ball, I have recieved an invitation to this grand social event. Every year, I take my part in planning the ball by creating a new chocolate treat that is shared exclusively to the guests then later served to the public.
The Annual Chocolate Ball is a very prestigious occasion and only the most elite are invited. Although, if you happen to be a chocolatier, you gain special entrance exceptions to the ball. ;D
10th Day of Storing - My Birthday
This is more of a personal holiday for myself, after all, everyone needs a break sometime. :)
During the week of my birthday, my prices are dropped roughly 30% in celebration of my birth!
You are finally finished with your chocolate meal, utterly satisfied and surpirsed that something made comepletey out of chocolate could fill you up so much.
You've told me so much about your cafe, what about yourself? I mean, you sure seem to be really successful in the chocolate business. What made you want to create a cafe that only serves chocolate?
Well, as you can see, I am entirely made up of chocolate (and a few other candies) and because of that, I, literally, have a sweet tooth and love eating chocolate. My love for eating chocolate and creating chocolate confections inspired me into bringing this cafe into existance so I may share my love of chocolate creations with the world.
GASP! You... you...!
Now, now, I know just what you're thinking and you're not the first, hehe. You see, though I am made of chocolate, I am much different than a normal chocolate bar. You see the this chocolate scorchio? Tomello holds up a chocolate scorchio. It's only made of pure candy and does not have a soul, unlike myself and therefore is nothing more than a tasty food item.
Also, I not only eat chocolate for enjoyment but I need to eat chocolate to sustain myself. As I'm sure you already know, candy making requires heat, and so my chocolate body would easily melt if it wasn't constantly being supplied with new chocolate.
So.. you're really like a living, breathing chocolate bar, huh?
Well, I suppose you could say that.
From what I understand, I wasn't born the way most reptillian Neopets are born; hatched from eggs. I was actually 'born' (if you want to call it that) in the Chocolate Factory.
A restocker had just purchased a scorchio morphing potion when they walked into the Chocolate Factory to try to get their hands on some tasty rare chocolates.
Unfortunately for them, the shop had JUST restocked and everyone was grabbing what they could, pushing and shoving past each other. One of the restockers had grabbed a chocolate scorchio from the shelve. Then, just as they turned around, they bumped into the one particular restocker with the potion. Both restockers' items fell to the floor, glass shattering and chocolate pieces flying. The potion oozed all over the chocolate Scorchio, leaving a mess for the shop owner to sweep up and both restockers left empty handed.
After the shoppers cleared away, the shops owner quickly swept up the pieces of glass and chocolate and tossed them both in the garbage. As the smothered chocolate scorchio sat in the trash, the potion soaked through it and started to morph the chocolate into a living, breathing chocolate scorchio (that's me).
Once the shopkeeper saw a pocket-sized scorchio rolling around in the garbage, he was surprised! At first he thought I was some sort of petpet, then soon realized what really happened. He kept me in the back kitchen and created a small room for me in a spare cupboard. He would feed me and care for me, really unsure what else to do with such an odd thing. Though as the weeks passed, I would grow larger and outgrew my cupboard-room. I soon learned how to speak and could read the cookbooks in the kitchen. The kiko saw that I wasn't just a piece of chocolate, I was a living thing and had intelligence.
The kiko then called me 'his student' and taught me how to work the kitchen. It wasn't long before I became aware of my full potential and decided I wanted a shop all my own, just like the Chocolate Factory or even better. Thus after leaving, I created my Chocolate Cafe. :)

There are actually a total of 5 jinjah that work as my assistants here, but the one you just saw, Boulanger, is the head assistant.
During the busy hours, these jinjah help me take customers' orders, clean the dishes, and organize the cafe for the next day. Boulanger also takes special measurements to make sure my special customers are treated, well.. special.
Special customers..? How does someone become one of those?
Well, not just anyone can be a 'special customer.' One must be either a member of my family or a great friend of mine..
Kegawa
A regular customer of mine from the beginning, Kegawa always volunteers herself to taste and judge my new creations. Not exactly your true chocoholic, but she loves a small chocolatey treat from time to time!
Camiot
I can't ever recall a time when Camiot came to visit me at my cafe. The poor soul is so lost and confused, I don't think she's ever tasted chocolate...
Tibbun
An extremely loyal 'customer,' Tibbun tries to sneak away to my cafe almost every chance he gets to find me and give him a free bon bon. The adorable baby buzz is just too cute to ever say no to!
Bozidara
Sadly this little Nimmo doesn't get the chance to enjoy chocolate very often since she lives far off in a swamp.
Boulanger's Itchi
Like many other petpets, Boulanger has a petpetpet. Even though this itchi is a potential family member, it is not allowed inside my restaurant in order to keep it clean. To make up for it, however, Boulanger brings his little petpetpet some chocolate scraps to feed on.
Mydgie
Not only a great customer, but also a wonderful friend! Mydgie also owns a shop, though instead of selling chocolates, he specializes in making jellies. Every Friday night, we play a friendly game of cards at each other's shop and the winner gets to take home a special chocolate or jelly treat.
Tomello finishes telling you everything you wanted to know and a short silence falls over the two of you.
Well Tomello, I can't think of anything else to talk about so I guess I should pay my bill now, but I'll definitely come back for some more chocolate!

Tomello gets up from the chair and heads towards the counter and you follow. You pay the amount due but before you say your thanks and turn away, Tomello pulls out a tray with several different bon bons on it.
