My tears are like the quiet drift…

When I was young, I would have dreams of flying underneath the stars in the resplendence of the night, with the moon shining in all its luminary glory, basking me in its silver iridescence. And then I would wake up to a world that had no night, and think to myself how glorious it would be to be able to see the night again.

I do not know if you know what it is like to live in a world without the comfort of the darkness. I come from a distant land named Eskator.

Eskator once held a balanced ecosystem, life living as it should. Dawn turned to dusk, and day turned to night. It was beautiful, and it was my world – the world of my brothers and I.

And then the beasts came, and war broke out. Eskator was crying out for a help that only I could bring. And thus, my tale began to unfold.

My sole purpose in life, I suppose, was to protect the entity that was the night. I needed to bring salvation to a world that could otherwise not be saved. But to do that alone would be to ask of the impossible.

I bring you this tale, asking only that you may read it, and perhaps learn from it. Expecting you to believe such a story will be difficult, though I hope that you will, in some respects, take a part of this tale with you once you have departed.

Thus we begin, with Eskator.

Of petals of some magic rose…

Chapter I//The Guardians of Eskator

My tale is a long one, but I assure you now that it is worth your time.

We begin in a realm, far, far away from the lands you may know and dwell in yourself, in the kingdom of Eskator. If you were to see Eskator from a distance, you would perhaps think it enthralling, surely having some supernatural entity being its creator; it was so impossibly beautiful.

Great, swirling marble pillars guarded the entrance to it, stretching as if trying to brush the sky, their stark whiteness reflecting the light of the rising moon. Beyond the pillars, there were rolling, lush green hills, clumps of pine forests whispering gently at their bases. Flowers grew in majestic splendour, all the colours of the spectrum coating the long grass that flowed over all surfaces. Even the mountains, far beyond the fields and marble statues, had a light green around their bases, though as one followed them upwards, one would see a delicate dusting of snow over their peaks, the only sign that the sky was one with the Earth.

Eskator was a mighty realm; not one creature knew how it had come about, nor was anybody sure exactly where it was. All they knew was that it was the shining light in the darkness of despair, the final spark of a dying flame. They thought they could retire there if their own realms began to rot away, and they hoped that the beasts of Eskator would welcome them with open arms.

The kingdom seemed to pursue a different time than everything else; whilst other realms decayed and died with the irrevocable age they succumbed to, Eskator flourished, its youth and beauty retained for thousands of years.

And that is why my brothers and I came into being. To rule over a land that is eternal whilst the world around it wilts and dies is a tiresome, almost impossible job – to guide an entirely different sun into the sky whilst the day is still young; to replace it with the moon once the day falls into slumber – to withstand this was the purpose of my brothers and me.

There were four of us, in the beginning. Of course, there was me; Astka the Night Walker. My role was to guard the night with my life, watching over the lands as they were swathed in the moonlight. There could not be the moon without a watcher, and thus, my brother Chante, the Moon Dancer, was created. Then there was Rem, the Sun Seeker, and Miak, the Day Wanderer. Together, we were bound by an oath to protect the lands of Eskator, no matter what the cost.

And that is a difficult task when the kingdom you protect is so widely desired by others.

At the start of it all, Eskator was few and far known; there was only one out of perhaps a hundred thousands beasts who even knew of its existence, and even then not one of those creatures had an inkling of where Eskator was.

Often, they would tell what had become legends of dragons longer than the clouds in the sky bringing the sun to rest at daybreak, returning it to the West when dusk began to fall. This, of course, was true, though my brother Rem was nowhere near as large as the lone brume that drifted aimlessly across the sky.

It was almost as if the four of us were encapsulated within our own dream world; we were carefree, not needing to worry about the pain of sickness or suffering. We could control what came in, and indeed what came out, of Eskator. We could make the sun rise as we pleased; make the moon stay in the sky for weeks on end. We could dance a slow waltz amongst stars, trying to capture them in our teeth, swirling around the shining moon.

We were so very happy, in our own dream kingdom. But we were too happy, too untroubled; we did not begin to see the changes in the beasts that did not reside in Eskator.

We had always entrusted Miak with guarding Eskator during the day, and of course I took it upon myself to take care of my realm during the midnight hours. There was only one way into Eskator, through the seemingly endless marble pillars that stretched as far into the sky as the eye could see. Often when I awoke at dusk I would see Miak flying so happily around them, his long, streamlined body like a whip as it twisted in impossible patterns around the beautiful white stone.

There was one day, however, when Miak suddenly descended from the sky. Rem immediately followed him, leading the sun with his tail as day slowly rolled into night. I had no idea what was happening; the two of them usually remained in the skies when the day was ending, at least until Chante and I were able to emerge from our slumber.

A beast from the outside had somehow stumbled across Eskator, through some improbable, barely plausible means – not one creature had ever found our realms before. It took us completely by surprise.

The beast was racked with age and famine, its bones visible through its sagging skin. It begged us, its eyes filling with forlorn tears, to allow it passage into our realms. It told us it had always dreamed of a world without hunger, without pain and sickness. A world where the young would remain young, and those that were old could never die.

Of course, we turned him away, though it pained me to see him go. Rem did not seem to care for him; he always was the most selfish of us, holding the cruellest nature. I felt most uneasy about him, especially if he were to become angry.

The beast dragged himself away from our world, looking back with such a pensive look in his eye that I felt like crying out in despair.

It was a cruel world beyond Eskator, and even then I was beginning to realise that nowhere can be without pain – not even a seemingly perfect world.

Chapter II//The Everlasting Day

We knew, deep inside, that there would be some consequence of us dragons having to turn a pitiful beast away from Eskator. Whether it would be the next day, or indeed in another three years, the fact that Eskator had been found by an outsider reinforced that we would have to be ready to fight for our world.

But that day came sooner rather than later – in fact, only a week after the first beast. Again, as dusk began to fall upon Eskator, and Chante readied himself to lead the moon into the sky, and I got ready to guard the night, Rem and Miak dropped to the ground, only this time Miak called to us, his voice distressed.

My heart dropped as I went to the marble pillars. Whereas before there had been one beast, now there were countless numbers, hundreds upon hundreds of different species. I had never seen another creature before apart from my brothers in my life; it shocked me to see so many in one place. I could not recognize any of them.

Again, they demanded entrance into Eskator; they were sick, wounded, dying. They wished to roam free in our evergreen pastures, and those with wings would take flight in our crystal skies. And yet again, Rem denied them entry – only this time, they fought back. Their numbers were too great for us; they resisted us, retorting that four dragons did not need a kingdom so big all to themselves. They could not understand - would not understand – that their numbers would completely throw Eskator's delicate eco-system off balance.

I could see Rem bristling with anger, his demonic eyes flickering with furious pyre. He roared that they leave that instant; but the adamant beasts would not depart. They forced themselves upon us in their thousands, pushing past we dragons, who had been brought up not to fight. Rem snarled, a feral, primal sound, something which I had never heard before.

I could feel Eskator react badly to the beasts; it was gradual, of course, but it was not used to having such numbers in its luscious meadows.

I was sick to my stomach as I watched the creatures, like parasites, begin to drink Eskator dry.

It did not take long for the rest of my brothers to notice Eskator's pain. It was difficult to see, at first. We tried to ignore the gradual colour change that was happening in our meadows, though soon it was difficult not to notice the dried, brown texture the grass had taken on. The beautiful flowers that had once bloomed so plentifully in every available inch of land had wilted, their bright colours no long able to hide the dull brown the rolling hills now bore.

Our lands were dying, and there was nothing we could do. As I flew through the midnight sky, the moon bathing me in its luminary glory, I would gaze upon my once resplendent realms, and nostalgia would wash over me. Even the soft light of the moon could not cover up the bleak landscape below. Eskator was ruined.

Many a time, Rem would call the four of us together, and would demand that we did something. He would say that it was about time the beasts realised that Eskator was dying, and in turn, they would die if they did not comply with us. I did not wish to fight; I had been born a pacifist, and I would have rather never flown again rather than fight.

Yet even I, the eternal peacemaker, realised that force had to be taken against the beasts. I had sat on my heels and watched my homelands crumble beneath the punishing feet of so many creatures for long enough.

The four Guardians of Eskator decided to revolt against the beasts, driving them out of our pitiful world before it passed away forever. I was the most repressive of this decision; I still would have rather tried to reason with the beasts than to declare war on them. Yet, of course, my brash, forceful brother Rem told me this was a coward's way out; a true dragon would fight until the bitter end.

And thus, when the sun was just beginning to rise in the sky one morning, we Guardians gathered the beasts that had been cuckoos in the vast nest of Eskator for too long.

We gathered them, and we told them that they could either leave; or fight. What horrified me most was that they immediately declared war upon us; and Rem seemed happy.

It was then that I knew my beautiful homelands were ruined forever. And I suppose that is why I let them take me and Chante. I saw no reason to fight. They would remain parasites upon our world forever, and, when they had leeched the land dry, the beasts would move on to some other realm.

Without Chante and I to reign over the night, the sun blazed hot in the sky every day. We were forced into a deep hibernation, refused passage into the skies so that the night may emerge. The beasts told us that at night, they were more vulnerable to our attacks, and they could not take that chance.

And so, Eskator began to burn beneath the sun that had been forced into the sky. And I wept for the sorrow of it all.

Chapter III//The End is Just the Beginning

When you have been forced into a slumber for so long, you begin to forget that days are separate. Everything becomes one long, tremendous blur, and when you are wrenched from that sleep, you feel as if you are caught in some conscious world between that of the sleeping and that of the awakened. I found myself in this situation perhaps two years after the great war first broke out.

I knew, even in my comatose state, that I was dying; without the night, I could not fuel myself, and my body ached with being kept away from the soft comfort of the moon. Chante was even worse than I; his energy came directly from the moon, whereas mine came from the darkened sky.

With an aching weight in my heart, I realised that Chante was past saving; he was near death, and could never be brought back. Flying quietly from the cave that we had been captured in, I squinted against the bright light of the day.

I was not built for sunlight, and it took me by surprise; the sun was far too bright, far too blazing. The furious pyre was hotter than it ever should be, and I worried for the sake of my two remaining brothers. Even they would be burned by the colossal heat after a while.

Flying low across the parched grass, so as not to get to close to the merciless sun, I flew steadily towards where I knew my brothers were, already feeling dread creep across my mind like a swirling fog.

I came across my brothers not long after, the two of them hurling balls of flame from their gaping mouths. I had forgotten they even held that power, but then again, they were dragons born from the flames of the sun itself.

The beasts recoiled in disgust, but their vast numbers gave them an advantage; soon, they were dodging the curling flames, latching onto my brothers until they were screaming in agony. Miak and Rem had been fighting without rest for two solid years; they, too, I realised, even with their increased energy from the everlasting day, were tiring quickly.

I knew I must act quickly, even if it meant my death. Eskator was already near its cruel end; I did not want the same fate for my brothers. Gathering all of the energy I had left in my weary body, I launched myself into the sky, willing the heavy blanket of the night to follow my lead.

At first, nothing happened, and disillusionment swathed my bones. And then, quite suddenly, the sun was blackened out by an infinite darkness, the gentle caress of stars encapsulating its blazing fury. The night had come, and I was never so thankful for its cool iridescence.

Even without the extra help of the moon, I felt myself grow stronger, all haziness drifting away. But my brothers, so used to the day, could not cope; with one last glance at me, Miak the Day Wanderer and Rem the Sun Seeker fell to the floor, before dissolving into an indescribable white powder that seemed to enter my blood. Their life was suddenly mine; I felt the emotions of Rem and Miak pour into me, and, soon after, Chante's joined me. The guardians had become one with me, and it was my chance to regain power over Eskator.

With one deep breath, I began to roar, the very essence of Eskator shaking. The beasts below me widened their eyes, scattering, but they could not escape my fury.

Within hours, Eskator had been emptied of its intruders, and I stood alone in the placid solitude of the night.

Eskator had been saved – but the cost had been great.

The cold realisation that I was alone hit me like a storm after a summer's day. My short-lived gratitude faded; I suddenly began to resent the realms I stood upon. What had one flourished beneath the watchful gaze of my brothers and I was dead; Eskator was just a shell of its former glory.

Yet it remained in my ownership, and I knew I had to retain its might.

In the distance, beneath the solemn eye of the night, the moon slowly began its ascent into the sky.

Eskator; My Home, My Beginning, My Salvation

There was once a place so beautiful that one could not fathom how magnificent it was.

Heard of only in legends, Eskator basked in a glorious, eternal time that would forever outlast the lands around it.

It was, and remains so, the most magnificent place I have ever seen.

Bathing in the resplendence of the moonlight, Eskator could almost be mistaken for a jewel from a distance. In fact, it was a jewel world, something so rare and hard to find these days.

My heart aches that it shall never achieve the glory it once held not so long ago, not since my brothers perished. Yet I shall remain here, the sole Guardian, and I shall make it flourish.

Personality

Astka was often known as the 'Just Dragon', because he was the calmest and most collected of his brothers. However, his placid nature meant him not wishing to take sides in the great war that took Eskator, and even though, in the end, he was forced to defeat the beasts, he would much rather have allowed them peace on his lands. He is also very serious, and his intervention in the war was simply because he could no longer stand the suffering his lands had endured.

Astka is not quick to make decisions, and likes to have time to dwell over his actions. If he does something to harm another, he will not be able to let it go. Often described as over-empathetic, Astka cannot stand to see suffering, which again adds to his just and fair nature.

His status as a Night Walker makes him have a strong preference for the night sky, and he especially loves the moon. Astka loves to bask in the serene beauty of the darkness, and as soon as the sun begins to set, Astka can be found soaring into the skies.

Astka's nature often leads to him being too trustworthy of others, which has resulted in him not having many friends at all. He does not realise when he is being taken advantage of, meaning quite often he is left in the shadows.

Despite his love of Eskator, Astka secretly holds a fascination for the outside world, though he has yet to venture out of his homelands. His curiosity often leads him to sit upon the outskirts of Eskator, watching the world move around him whilst he is stuck in a timeless realm.

Reference and Physical Qualities

Astka's appearance and build could be described as that of the Japanese Dragon; an elegant, slender type of dragon whose graceful appearance gives them an oriental feel. Astka himself is very long and streamlined, and he does not have much muscle. However, his slim build allows him to slip through the air easily, and it also allows him more grace and elegance when in motion.

The colours of his body are entirely due to him being an entity of the night, just like how his brother who represented the sun was a dusky orange in colour. His deep, midnight-blue scales allow him to camouflage more readily into the sky, though the various parts of his body that glow give him away. However, these iridescent parts are often mistaken for odd, glowing stars, as are his bright, cryptic eyes.

Astka's eyes all appear to be one colour, though that is not the case; his pupils are simply a very similar colour to his irises. Astka's brothers often described his eyes as esoteric, for it was like staring into the depths of a dying star when one looked into them.

The jewel Astka wears on a thin silver strap around his head was taken from the crystals of a very rare type of stone known as 'Dusk Mineral'. It is thought to contain the essence of the moon's glow trapped within it, which is why it emits such an odd light.

Despite popular belief, Astka, unlike two of his three brothers, cannot breathe fire. Instead, he holds a remarkable ability to distort light given from the moon and the stars to create dazzling appeals, which can sometimes be blinding. Astka also has a very musical, somewhat melancholic roar, which allows him dominion over beasts that cannot bear to hear the roar's sombre sound.

Astka can also control when the night falls, although this ability is only valid in Eskator. By flying into the sky, Astka manages to lead the night behind him, meaning that once his brothers had passed away, he was able to create a world ruled by the night.

Noctus the Faerie Seti and Amp the Bumbluz

I see you have come across my companion, Noctus.
I must admit, I was extremely surprised to find him freely roaming Eskator one day; I had assumed that all of the beasts had left. He was flying around like he owned the place, swooping with such rapture that for a minute or two, I was mesmerised. He was like nothing I had ever seen before in my long years in Eskator. His coat was coal black, interspersed with golden tones that made him seem like he belonged with both the night and the day. Upon his back were the most fantastic pair of wings, loops of gold entwined with the dark fingers, and he seemed almost one with the night.

His strange, contrasting beauty struck me short for a moment, but soon I was attempting to communicate with him. I did not recognise his species, but I hoped with all of my might that his native tongue was the same, if not similar, to mine.
. "What is your name?" I asked him, approaching the small creature slowly. He did not draw back as I reached him; instead, he stayed where he was, his head lowered slightly. As I watched, he shook his head very slightly. "You have no name? Or you cannot speak?" As I mentioned the latter, the small, dainty creature fluttered his wings, creating dazzling, glittering patterns before me.

I cannot speak in tongue, but I can speak to you through the mind, The sound of a tiny voice, like chimes on the wind, filled my ears. I widened my eyes, but the charcoal-coloured creature simply smiled, his orb-like blue eyes shimmering. My name is Noctus. And yours is Astka.

The creature, whom I now knew only as Noctus, swirled a frantic, confusing dance in the sky, before landing in front of me, his face a mix of sheer glee and excitement. I am not sure of this, as Noctus refuses to tell me anything about his origins, but I think he may have been created at the same time as my brothers and I. Only time will tell, after all.

He also seems to have acquired some sort of companion over the years, a strange, flickering bug that seems to feel the need to hop everywhere. I do not know much about these two, but I will do my best to keep them in my company for now.

If you would like to view Noctus and Amp, then please click here. I am hoping to purchase Noctus' paint brush once I have earned enough neopoints to buy Astka's paint brush c:

Future Family

It seems that amongst the new creatures I have come to know since venturing out of Eskator include a rather peculiar bunch of fellows calling themselves my family. I have not yet found out much about these beasts, but I am sure soon enough I will be able to call them friends.

Shoy4565 the Faerie Eyrie
Shoy, one of the most remarkable creatures I have ever met, is a paradox. He, blessed with the most beautiful wings an Eyrie can have, is afraid to fly, though I realised not long after I had met him that this was a deep burden that came from his past. I think he would be well suited to Eskator; after all, I could use some company, and he would certainly fit in, though perhaps some flying lessons are in order.
I believe he comes from a land known as Jurranrae, one I have only heard of in legends. It is said to have housed an ancient council of Faerie pets, created to guard the plains in which they are located. However, whenever I ask Shoy a question of his homelands, a glazed appearance seems to cover his eyes. He seems so distant, disjointed from the tightly woven string of friends that has been created between the rest of my family and I. Perhaps some day I will discover more, but until then, I will have to wait.

Gazelle241 the Darigan Scorchio
Gazelle, though smaller than me by feet, strikes fear into my heart. He seems deceiving, though oddly, it does not seem like it is his choice to be so. There are secrets housed within this dragon, and I have yet to discover them from him, though my brothers tell me many myths of his kind.
He comes from the realm of Danchante, a colossal stretch of fold mountains reaching their stone fingers towards the skies, inhabited by the most fearsome creatures one can only imagine seeing in their lifetime. I believe many of the beasts who attacked Eskator were from Danchante; it made me uneasy to find that Danchante is not but three day walks from Eskator. Gazelle was cursed long ago, cast out of his pack because of it. It appears to be some form of reverse lycanthropy – on the night of a new moon, his mind distorts, and he becomes an enraged demon, rampaging until the sun peers over the folds of the night. I hope I do not come across him on a new moon; I only fear the power he holds within him.

GrowlingShocker the Grey Grarrl
Growl is one of the sweetest characters I have met, perhaps even more kind-hearted than my Eskator brothers. Though his colour may confuse some, he is not as depressed as one might believe. I would have thought his past to be traumatised, though this is not so; he often tells me stories of his previous life before meeting Dragon.
Growl came from a small, long abandoned town known only to me as Karra, inhabited only by a fearsome pack of creatures of various species. Growl was born into this world, though escaped shortly after his coming of age. He was chased by his previous companions, and was kept captive, until, one day, he managed to completely deceive them, and left for good. His colour is a peculiar aspect to him; he once told me he was born red. Perhaps someday he will figure out his demons.

Of unremembered skies and snows…

Why Astka?

To quote the great man himself, What's in a name?. The truth is, I have always found that the majority of a design is focused on one unique feature everything has; their name. Even if you find twins so identical you cannot tell one from the other, they will each have, of course, their own personalities – and their own name.

I was not looking for a pet to apply for when I first saw Astka's name mentioned on a board, but as soon as I saw his name, I fell in love. His name is so majestic, so beautiful – a design for him immediately began to form in my mind as soon as I spoke his name out loud. Astka.I did not mind what species he was, nor what colour he was painted – so long as I would have the amazing opportunity to create new ideas for such a wonderful name, I was happy.

I think a name is extremely important in designing a character, and that is why I love Astka's name so much. His design is based around his amazing name; I think of the night sky, of grace and of forgotten tales whenever I hear his name spoken.

Another reason I fell for Astka was because of how well his name suited his species; I do like Draiks, but the fact that his name was so suited to a dragon-like character was amazing. I have always loved to design dragons and draw them, even from when I was young, and to be able to create a character for Astka was a great experience.

I also love to draw, and being able to draw Astka and his design was a new challenge for me that I would love to continue doing. As I mentioned before, I have always loved to draw dragons; their majesty, and utter unique appearance has always been a massive appeal to me.

I also adore the appeal of Royal Boy Draiks, whom I would like Astka to be someday if I am to receive him, simply because of their design opportunities. I think Astka's name would be perfectly suited to this colour, which is another reason I would love to adopt him.

I have never truly dedicated myself so much to an application before; in fact, I have only ever applied for one other pet on Neopets, whom sadly I did not get. After putting more work than I ever have done before into this application, I have become acquainted with Astka's design, his character; it is imprinted into my mind. I have never applied myself this much to a character before, and that is why I adore him so much.

I think, that if I touched the earth…

Why Dragon?

This is a question I always find difficult answering – why should you pick me over your other applicants?

The first reason is that I have always loved drawing, and make sure that all of my pets have custom designs – for example, my Grarrl. I draw new art for each of my pets as often as I can, as I love to develop their characters through drawing them. I am perhaps not as experienced or practised an artist as some others, but I put all of my effort into each picture I draw to try and make sure I get the best results. I have enjoyed immensely being able to draw such an incredible pet as Astka, and I would love to be able to continue doing so well into the future.

I can also reassure you that Astka would never be zapped, traded or pounded. Although his name is the most important aspect of him, I would never trade him out, for he is simply too beautiful. The opportunities that have come around with my being able to apply for him are great, and I would hate for that to have to come to an end. I am online almost every day for about an hour to an hour and a half, meaning I can dedicate more of my time to Astka.

I am also an aspiring writer; some day, I would love to be able to write a novel or write for the screen. Writing Astka's story allowed me to open my mind to new ideas, and I would love the opportunity to expand his story more.

I try to be as dedicated as I can, and once I begin something, I stick with it until the end. I can assure you that my love for Astka will never end, and I will continue to create new ideas for him well into the future.

It would crumble…

Plans for Astka

Now, you may be wondering what sort of plans I have for Astka – I can assure you, I have many!

I would love to paint Astka Royal, because I love the deep blue colouring of the Royal Boy Draiks, and I think the colour suits his name perfectly. I am currently saving up for the brush, so whilst I am doing so, I plan to paint Astka Starry, and will hopefully be able to buy the Royal Paint Brush soon. I have never been good at saving neopoints, but hopefully if I play a lot of games, it will pay off xD

I also have a few petpet plans for Astka; mainly, a Faerie Seti and a Bumbluz. I think these two would match Astka perfectly, and I have already bought the two of them, so you may see them in my gallery. I plan to buy the Faerie Petpet Paint Brush after I have saved enough neopoints to buy Astka's paint brush. The Seti will be named Noctus, and the Bumbluz's name will be Amp.

I am not a fan of customisation myself, but I do love to give my Neopets backgrounds, as I think it can be a representation of both their character and colour. The background I would love to give to Astka is the 'Moon and Stars' background – it is not the most expensive of items, but I think it is one of the most beautiful backgrounds out there. It perfectly suits Astka's character, and is even surrounded by fields like those in Astka's story.

I know it is typical for applicants to say they will enter the beauty contest, but I would love to be able to have this opportunity with Astka. I have entered the BC five times in the past, and have won three trophies out of these occasions. I simply find joy in drawing Astka, and being able to continue to do so is a major wish of mine. I would love to be able to experiment with new ideas and poses for his character, though he would not become a trophy pet in any way. You can see art I have drawn of Astka further down in this application.

A few years ago, I also began a comic strip in the Neopian Times called 'Petpet Pals', though I was rather unimaginative back then. I hope for Astka to star in a one-off special comic I am currently making, also including my three other pets from my main account. I would love to see Astka's name appear in the NT! c:

I have not yet organised a full petpage for Astka, because personally I find it a little pointless to put a full page on a pet as soon as you get them. I would love to have something to work one if I am to get Astka, meaning I will be able to focus more on him in the future rather than simply putting up a page I have already done.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say that Astka would have a permanent place on my main account, dragontamer981, and would never be labbed, pounded or re-homed. If I were chosen to adopt Astka, he would immediately become a permanent part of my account.
As you can see, I have many plans for Astka, and I would love the opportunity to be able to use each one of them =D

It is so sad and beautiful…

About Dragon

OMG, DRAGON IS SECRETLY A PIKACHU.

I'm not really, but I do like Pokemon xD My name is Dragon, and I am fifteen years old. I love writing stories, drawing and reading, as well as fulfilling my inner trainer by playing Pokemon games xD My other hobbies include playing my guitars Spyro and Rhodri very badly, naming every inanimate object I own, and reading books. I am especially fond of classics, but I can't resist anything to do with werewolves. I also like to insert random German words wherever possible when speaking, because I get a strange kick out of pretending to know a different language xD And I really do like Pokemon; I've been playing since I was four years old, and it seems like only yesterday I was running around the schoolyard pretending I was Charizard. Some things never change x3 I also love writing, and currently have about four drafts of different novels on the go, although I will only attempt to write one at a time xD

As for me on Neopets, I have been playing for almost six years now, and have never once tired of Neopets, not even when the massive layout change occurred. I find the pets inspirational, and being able to design characters for such a diverse range of species is something I enjoy immensely. I have been playing since I was nine, and have been suspended once when my account was approximately six months old. You can find me lurking on the Beauty Contest boards or furiously playing Jelly Blobs of Doom. I find it extremely addictive xD My favourite pets are Eyries, Draiks and Lupes, simply because I find them very good design points, and I love drawing each of them. I generally find that male pets are easier to design, which is why I only own two female pets xD

My Accounts

I currently own five accounts, although only four of these are active most of the time. My fifth account, whisperdarkness, is used mostly for pets waiting to be zapped by the lab, but soon I will work on getting their designs posted. My main account has always been dragontamer981, and this is where I am hoping Astka will be able to go. This account has been suspended once, but I have never been frozen before, and hopefully never will be.

So tremendously like a dream…

Dedications

I have created Astka's future lookup for him; if you would like to see it, please click here.

I have also compiled a gallery of items I would love to give Astka if I am chosen to be his new owner. You can find my gallery here. This gallery includes Astka's petpet, paint brush, customisation and more.

I have also created a set of adoptables for Astka, which will be put onto his petpage if I am to receive him. You can see these adoptables by scrolling down to the 'Adoptables' section of my application.

I have also dedicated this entire page, and all of my free time, to Astka. I hope my dedication to him shows through these lines, and how much I sincerely adore him.

And thus, the tale must end.

Farewell

Sadly, all applications must come to an end, and here is where we must depart, Zeki. I sincerely thank you for reading my application, and I hope you have enjoyed reading it just as much as I have enjoyed writing it. I have spent countless hours rewriting, reading and editing this application, and I honestly hope my dedication to Astka shows.
I wish you good luck in choosing a new owner for Astka, and I can only hope that it perhaps might be me. I will also take this opportunity to wish good luck to all other applicants for Astka. I hope that ultimately the best home for him is chosen, even if this is not me.
Thank you again for reading. This is only the second application I have ever created, but I hope you have enjoyed it.
~ Dragon
Note// I will be away from the twelfth to the sixteenth of July, but I will have access to a computer as soon as I get back on the sixteenth. If you wish to contact me between these days, I may not have access to the internet, though I will try. Thank you.

Special Credits

Clown in the Moon was written by Dylan Thomas.
Clair De Lune was written and composed by Charles Debussy.
Thank you shippai for uploading the music for me ;~;
A massive thank you to alwinta for helping me with my coding – without you, this application would just be very, very messy words on a page xD
A massive thank you to Oboe - you've been an awesome friend 8D
And of course, to all of you amazing people at the Pound Chat – without your help, comments and critique, I never could have made this application like it is now. Thank you.
Finally, thank you to Zeki, who was amazing enough to put Astka up for adoption in the first place. Without you, none of this would have been possible. Thank you.
