I had to take a class where are assignments were to 'steal' other's work and present it as our own. This helped us to know what thieves have to do to steal art and how to protect your own work.
Below are some stolen pieces of art that was found throughout Neopets. These were other people's that thieves were claiming to be their work and I caught screenshot of them trying to claim it. I have put the original (real) artists' names on the image, and put them in order from the most work that had to be done to the laziest thief.
*All the screenshots (unless other wise noted) below had been reported to TNT with a link to the original piece. And a notation if the user was frozen.
NOTE: I would like to let everyone that just because I have not been posting stolen work here does not mean I have not been skimming through BC as well as getting Neomail pointing out stolen work. All of which can and will be reported if found to be stolen.

Redrawn Art (re·drun ärt) - This is work that someone has totally redrawn the image from the original. Many times it looks similar or identical. This also includes redrawing using someone else's poses.
Often times people do not realize that this is considered stealing. If the image is not your original idea and creation then it is stealing. Redrawing other's work can only be claimed as practice/learning (you still can't claim as your original art). These still cannot be entered in any contest or claimed as your own. You must still give credit to the original artist.

*IMAGE REMOVED* I recently recieved a Neomail from the person of this screenshot questing it be removed. After reading their Neomail I feel that they have a better understanding of what they did wrong and I will respect the fact they do understand and will honor their request for the screenshot to be removed. Unlike most 'Walls of Shame' this grouping of pictures are here to show people examples of what is considered stolen and that it does happen on Neopets.

This on was redrawn and entered into the Neopets' Beauty Contest. This is a very popular stolen image.

Kougra_paw20 Kougra
Recieved Neomails about these adoptables. They are redrawn and the thief admits to this. I request them be removed from the website and petpage. They have since removed them. Here's the adoptable on the person's pet lookup. They claimed they had redrawn it by looking at it, but I did an over lay of the stolen and the original. The lines were identical. The thief only did computer alterations to the image. I have included the emailing from this issue.
Status: Not Frozen - Had removed the adoptables from their petpage before TNT could take action.

Altered Art (al·terd ärt) - This is work that someone has changed the background, color, or part of the image from the original. This also includes cropping. Many Artist on Neopets will also include using how their pets look (ie specific descriptions or look, usually for RP) and using that on your pet.

Was found in the Neopets' Beauty Contest. The Kougra's color has been erased and a wing that appears to be backwards has been added.

Was found in the Neopets' Beauty Contest. The background and wings had been erased, and some, what appear to be, scars have been added onto the image.

Was found in the Neopets' Beauty Contest. It has been cropped down from the origianl image.

Suta-Raito Zafara
Someone was using Suta-Ratio's images for other images they were then allowing people to use without giving credit back to Suta-Raito.
Status: Requested credit be given to original artist, and the person did.
Suta-Raito Kougra
Someone altered Suta-Raito's Kougra and added onto the image after redrawing it. The basic image is Suta-Ratio's. Even if you add to it it is NOT your's to claim.

Original was redrawn and altered (changed the mouth). The basic image is not the thief's origianl idea thus it is still considered stolen art.

Name Changing (nam kang·eng) - when the thief takes someone else's work removes the original artist's name and either puts their's on or leaves it without.

Name and writing was erased from the image. The art thief didn't even bother to put their's on the image.

This was brought to my attention via neomail. The person also had many images on their pet page that were stolen as well. The original artist's signature wasn't even removed from the image. The picture isn't even of a Neopet related drawing.

Untouched Art (un·tuchd ärt) - These have to be the laziest or not the brightest theives. They don't change a thing from the original. Just say it's their's. I catch this more often than you could imagine.

Found this in the Beauty Contest. Reported it to TNT stating the origianl artist's name is located on the image and that that name did go to a Neopet's account that had the adoptables on their petpage. They Neomailed me back stating I had to send them the link to the Petpage witht he adoptables.

The drawing was left just as the original one is. The original artist did not have their signature on the image. This makes for some prime artwork for lazy thieves to steal.
