History is composed of the ever-mysterious "button challenge," a button gift project, past layouts of Buttons Galore, and button counts for each recorded month.

Button Challenge

The button challenge is credited to an idea that I got from a button site that has now closed.

In a button challenge, I will request a button from another button site. From their options or past examples, I will choose the most extravagant fonts, unsightly color choices, and dangerous combinations. Then we get to see how they can make it work! If they manage to create something great out of it, they will receive a special award. If they are unable to make a good button, we'll have had a good laugh!

This challenge only comes around occasionally, but be prepared! (The button maker has the option to decline.)

Viky did so well with this challenge! I did my best to make it hard for her, but she created a gorgeous button. I love the unique animation she used; it's so cool!

Vanilla Bean's adoptables are so creative and cool-looking. I felt like this site deserved a button that represented the high quality that it delivers, so I have gifted Cathii with a button that I hope does just that.

Inspection Express is just getting started, but I can already see that it will become successful. I hope that Bella keeps reviewing, because she's giving some great advice to all the reviewed sites. I've gifted her with a button that I hope attracts just a little bit more attention for her. =)

The Status Center is such a brilliant idea of Cass's. Because I wanted to practice my button-making (under the pressure of making one for such a frequently-visited site), I made her one that I hope she'll enjoy!
