This help guide is meant for newbies who don't really understand what to do on Neopets. If you would like to help to make this guide better, or if you have good links to help petpages, please neomail rtfm.
Hello and welcome to my petpage, guest. This page will help you get started playing Neopets. Exploring the Neopets world Neopia is a world where lots of strange creatures live. They look a little like the creatures that live on the planet Earth, but if you look closely, you can see that there are lots of differences. I assume you already created or adopted a pet. If you didn't, don't worry. You can play Neopets without a pet, but of course that's not really the idea of Neopets, is it? Let's start looking at the Neopets world: Click on the explore button on the yellow bar left of your screen. You now see the planet of Neopia. You may also notice the moon and the space station. Don't click those just yet. We'll start in Neopia central. Do you see the big hamburger on the left of the two castles? Click it. We have now arrived in Neopia central. (You can also reach this place by clicking shops in the yellow sidebar.) There is a map with shops, and a yellow bar with a lot of images on them. That bar is very important, so let's see what's on there. The first image will take you to your inventory. When you're new, you'll see that you can get a newbiepack. In the newbiepack you'll find some items you can use to feed your pet and make your pet happy with. Food makes sure your pet isn't hungry, toys make your pet happy when you play with them. Petpets can be given to your pets, and they can take care of them. You don't have to do anything :) You'll also notice two paint brushes. You can use those to change your pet's color. I will tell you more about paint brushes later. You'll also see some items that can be used in the battledome. I'll explain about that later too. When you clock on one of the items, a new window will pop up, where you can choose what you want to do with the items. Note that the paint brushes and petpets from the newbiepacks can't be sold, traded, put up for auction or donated. You can only use them for your own pets. The second link takes you to your shop. This will be explained later. The third link takes you to the guild page. I'll explain about this later too. I'm still working on the Dutch version and translating it to English.
