Welcome to my woods

The great jungle spreds far and wide all around you. the trees are thick and unruly. Lianas, thick woody vines dangle from the treetops resembling ropes. A great diversity of ferns cover the floor of this forest as well as the niches within the tree bark. Mosses grow in great abundance in the moist crevaces too, the whole jungle is full of life.

Above the treetops rustle, the branches shake and a green creature leaps down from its perch. "Hello there, welcome to my woods." She, a lithe green eyrie says. Her legs were very long, she looked ot be a quick runner, in fact her whole body had lengthy parts. Somehow the setup was rather graceful.

Hi," You say meekly, noticing that she is a bit larger than you. "Do you own these woods?"

She shakes her head. "No, I don't I am the caretaker though, but no one owns these parts." The green eyrie dips her head, "My name is Terazon."

I'm guest," You say politely.

guest, guest, I think I may have heard of that name before," She says in deep thought.

You ask, "What were you doing up there in that huge tree?"

You mean, that one *she tilts her head to the immense Mystery Island Nut tree* "that's Trenlin, the great Earth Tree, she's the second biggest of all the trees in the whole of Neopia. I look out from there, I make sure there's no trouble in the woods."

I hate to ask you another question but why do you watch the woods anyways?" You ask.

Its a long story, surely you wouldn't want to hear it..." She trails off as you blurt out, "Oh yes I would, I like to learn a few things when I travel!"

Terazon: "Ok, but I warned you, its long..."

My Beginnings

I was born in the island known as Terrazon, my namesake rediscovered by Elubis, my own carer. I begun life as an orphan, somehow managing to survive on the island. I ate bugs and fruit, I never ate meat as the only animals there were Island weewoos and Beakadoodles and since they were my only company I couldn't just eat them, so I was semi-vegetarian one could say.

I learned how to climb trees upon instinct and I did that a lot, because there weren't only Island weewoos there, at night strange metallic beings would come out and turn up the whole areas of the island, chopping down trees and bushes and creating coal out of them for energy. I later foudn that these were the works of Sloth, but I couldn't do anythign back then I was too small and quite admittedly too stupid.

You see I got no education back at Terrazon as there were no other speaking creatures to tutor me until in my ninth year there, she came.

Her name is Elubis, you may know her as Purple_owns though. She came with her petpet Foren, a talking Scarabug. He was her only company back then, btu Foren is a handful, and a notorious chatter.

Apparently they had a leak in their boat and had came to the island thinking it was Lutari Island and there would be places to fix it there, but alas it wans't and they were stuck there for many days feeding of coconuts and fruit, and the moldy bread travelers always seem to have.

During these times I would watch closely, and curiously at them and their language a seemingly complicated series of different sounds mashed together to form many different words. Elubis, the brown-haired human girl turned out to not be a human after all. She stopped drinking the liquids out of a strange vial and later morphed into a draik. She used her fiery breath to light a fire on the beach so warm themselves.

On the fifth day of me watching from the shelter of the forest Foren spotted me. He was flying irraticly the way most Scarabugs do (they aren't the best of fliers, especially not in forests, they are bad at turning) when he cmpletely bumped into me. He fell to the ground while I gawked at him.

His first words to me were, "Whatcha looking at, eyrie?" He put on his usual and now very familiar cynical expression. I made a loud dazzled sqawk instead as I backed away slowly. "Can't you speak I word of general Neopian?" He asked his face growing ever more scornful looking.

I looked back confused. He shook his head and made a few clicking noises with his tongue then shouted out, "Elubis, come over here, there's a Neopet!"

I began to run instinctivly away, loud noises always had scared me, and it sounded simialr to the voice of robotic creatures that visited the island in the dry season.

I was really fast and knew the land, but Elubis was pretty quick as well and she knew some methods of magic. She could fly too, something I never did back then as I was too frightened to do anything but glide.

I still escaped her and the scarabug for quite a while but they bided their time as the fixed their boat. I still stayed on the other side of the island near a small sea cliff and waterfall for many days and when I finally went back to find them they had gone.

I felt kinda sorry, and regret stabbed me. I stayed on that beach for many days. They stopped by a month or so later with somehting that made the skin around my nose crawl in its fragrance, a chokato fruit. I remember Elubis' tactic, they waited inside the boat and left the chokato fruit on the shore, buried underneath it was a small pic Elubis had dug up in a sea dune.

As soon as they got out of site I dove for it and ended up within their boat off to Mystery Island.

Elubis and Foren taught me many things along the way, how to read an write, numbers, science, and historical things. It was all so amazing to me that such information had existed without me ever knowing it so from that day one I strived to learn as much as I could!

Terazon: "Well basicly that's how I ended up here I mean there's loads more I could tell you, like how I got this talisman and feather *flicks head so that her vibrant coral feather shakes* "If you'd really like to hear it all. ITs even longer though than that."

My Family

Elubis: This is my 'owner' thing, she's a purple draik who has a knack for failed potions and procrastinated works. Elubis does make one potion well though, temprary human morphing potions. She used these to shop as shopping when your a draik isn't a pleasant experiance with people gawking at you.

Alighten: She's a green PTeri who is really warm-hearted and kind. Alighten always buts others first when making decisions. She even cleans up our house (Elubis can't stand cleaning) she said she does it to so Elubis will paint her faerie, don't think our owner knows of that though :/.

Anaxornin: Not much to say about this new guy other than he is as stubborn as an old grey Ixi! I guess I could add taht he is the oppisite of Algihten, he is cold-hearted, unreliable, and only cares about himself.

Anethra Raven: When we first found her she was really nice and friendly, she seemed lonely and confused too but boy did we have a lot of fun together! She was the first real eyrie I met, well actually I'm not sure what she is to tell you the truth she does have Pteri-like front legs. Anethra left us though not too long after Elubis tried to teach her magic and she found out her real name.
