My Story

I don't remember much about my past, the first thing I remember is waking up in the Haunted Woods. Everything before then is a mystery, and still to this day I cannot remember my parents, or if I had any siblings.



I lifted myself up and looked about me, it was so dark and I fel very exposed. I was a bright red Shoyru and I was sure that in this darkness, I would easily be spotted.



I stood up on shaky feet and began to wonder about aimlessly looking for shelter, the woods were filled with strange noises I did not recognise. I was so scared I hugged myself for confort, and wished with all my heart I was somewhere safe.



I soon found myself surrounded by thick black bushes, I decided that this would be as good a place as any to hide. I hoped the thick branches would hide my colour, and keep me safe untill I could find my way out.



I spent many months hiding in those bushes, my bright red colour began to fade with time. I became a charcoal coloured Shoyru, with this I was soon able to camouflage perfectly with my surroundings.



Two years went buy and I became bored of hiding and scrounging about for food, I knew I had to get tough or risk being a scardey Angelpuss for the rest of my life.



Of course this was easier said thatn done, I tried to venture out into the unknown but came running back to my thicket with my tail between my legs. I felt at a loss, how could I escape this place if I could not escape my own fear?



It on one of my excursions that I met my fate, the one moment in my life which turned me into what I am today. I wish I could go back and change what happened, but you can't can you?



I had gone farther from my refuge and was feeling very proud of myself, when suddenly the floor rumbled and I spun around to see a Werelupe glaring at me. I was frozen, unable to move for fear.



Without warning the Werelupe bolted towards me and struck me with his clawed paw, I flew through the air and smashed into a nearby tree. I felt winded and tried to scrabble up to hide, but the ground shook again and I felt the Lupe's warm breath on my neck.



He grabbed me in his jaws and flung me high into the air, I managed to straighten my wings and hovered. i tried to fly away but the Lupe grabbed my tail, and wrenched me back down.



My strength was failing me, I tried to fight him off but he was so quick. He attacked me from all sides, untill he beat me down into the ground. At that moment I snapped.



He moved away from me to gather his strength and I took the opporunity, I saw only red as I ran towards him. My claws were out and my teeth were bared, I smashed full pelt into him and knocked him to the ground.



My eyes saw nothing but red as I clawed and bit at the Werelupe, I felt a searing hot flash run down from my head and back but I took no notice. Untill my hands caught on fire, I stopped suddenly and stood up.



The Werelupe didn't move, and I knew he never would. I stared at my flame covered body and wondered why I felt no pain, I had flames covering me from my head to the tip of my tail, and my hands were surrounded by fire.



I felt no fear, that is what this was. My anger had released my true power, and had freed me from my fear. I walked away from the Werelupe, and from my home to feed my anger.



While I was walking new questions ket popping up in my head which seemed to feed the fire, why was I left alone? Did my parents abandon me? Was I really hated so much? With every question my anger grew, as did the fire which covered my body.



By the time I finally made my way out of the Haunted Woods, I was a frightening sight. Neopians and Neopets ran away from me when they saw me coming, and I managed to establish myself as a force to be reckoned with.



One day as I was walking along the edge of the Haunted Woods I hear a commotion in the forest, I turned my head towards the sound and saw someone dressed in blue running from a pack of Werelupes. The someone was a lady and the Werelupes were gaining on her.



Without hesitaiton I ran after them, it didn't take me long to land among the Werelupes and fight them off. They ran wimpering in the depths of the forest, I turned my attention on the lady who was cowering next to a tree.



as I saw her cower I had a flashback of my life before I became who I am, and I felt sorry for her. I calmed down a bit and my flames were less intense, I knelt infront of her.

I'm ok thank you, will you hurt me?
I wont as you remind me of a younger, less angry me.

From that moment Eleri, the lady who I saved, and I were inseparable. She treated me with the kindness I had lacked, and she helped train me to control my anger.



A whole year went by without an inccident, but on a trip to the Haunted Woods it all unravled. A Neopian with a Werelupe walked along and passed us, and I felt the anger returning.



I tore at the Werelupe who was to scared to fight back, I couldn't hear Eleri telling me to stop or the Werelupes owner crying out to let his pet go. In the end Eleri had no choice and used Water Mote on me to douse my fire, and when this happened I felt weak and became unconcious.



I woke up to darkness, when I realized what had happened I sprung up onto my feet and my fire returned. I was in a dark corridor, with a few lit torches here and there. The stringest light though came from me, as I rammed and clawed at the walls.



I began to tire and just lay on the ground trying to catch my breath, that's when I heard footsteps coming down the corridor. I stood up on shaky legs ready to fight.



Eleri came round the corner holding a torch, she had such a sad expression on her face as she looked at me. She explained how she had had no choice but to lock me down here, at least untill my anger had subsided enough that I could control it.



I wanted to tear at her and make her suffer, but I could tell by her expression it was the hardest thing she'd had to do. So I silently nodded as she promised to always visit, she has stayed true to her word. I hope one day I can be realeased and live a normal life.

She found me and tried to save me from myself, it worked, for a short time. She has done everything to make me happy, and keep me contented. But I find myself hating her for locking me away, even if it's for my own good.

Biaikuo

A no good thief! Kuo steals things that people have dropped, instead of returning them to their rightful owner. On the most part he finds things by himself, but don't be fooled, the moment your back is turned he will swoop down and take anything he can carry.

Zeroiu

The kindest Korbat you can find, Roi can control the weather and uses this skill to help his fellow Neopians. He will visit at times, and brings with him a gentle breeze. It helps to calm me, and reminds me of the surface.

Khemian

Mian is a heroine, a super hero from another planet. On her home planet she was like me, an outcast. Now she has a new lease on life, and uses her powers for the good of Neopia. I wish one day to be as good a person as her.
