Tanikaze, the Fire Xweetok
Tanikaze, or Tani, as she like to be called, crept slowly over the hill. She had heard about this place from other Xweetoks, a place of refuge for those with special powers and no where else to go. She felt that she met those standards. Moving down the hill towards the lake, she could see other xweetoks looking at her curiously. Hey, she thought It's better than other looks I've gotten. Other xwees slowly approached her and surrounded her. One approached her, gave her a half smile and said, "I'm Aurelia, Sorin Aventi. Who are you?" Tani drew herself up and said carefully, "I am Tanikaze, Sunset Xwee, formerly of Kirastonan." Aurelia gave her a half smile and said, "Follow me, I'll introduce you to some of my friends here." As she turned to leave, she faced Tani over her shoulder and said absent-mindedly, "Oh, and welcome to the Xweetok Forest."
Tanikaze, the Sunset
Tanikaze is Sunset, the merging of day and night, the transformation of light into dark. She originally lived in Kirastonan, a place where all children with unusual powers were sent to train with mages, forced from thier friends and families, never to see each other again. Tani was of the ruling class, and could hide her own powers. But when her best friend was discovered, they both fled. Her friend was sadly killed in the attempt. That was, like, a severely compressed version of her past, but I am too lazy right now to write her entire saga (the same thing happened on Aurelia's petpage XD). Here's a stat list:

Tanikaze wandered around the edge of the lake. The brilliant reds and golds of the sunset reflected up at her from the water. She was careful not to look directly at the surface; to do so was to invite trouble with her budding scrying powers. She sighed and sat down.
Kheiro yawned as she stretched out on the nearest tree. There was nothing to do. But she saw another xweetok down below. She smirked. It was fun time! But she lost her balance, and tumbled down, hoping not to hit Tanikaze.
Aggghhh!" Tani shouted as a xwee landed somewhat elegantly next to her. Recovering quickly, she turned on the newcomer. "Brilliant landing, twinkle toes. Can I help you?" Tani knew she sounded rude, but hey, there was a reason people called her a caustic jerk.
Well I can tell somebody's grumpy today" Kheiro joked laughing. "And no , I don't need help." she replied. 'This xwee must be a newcomer' she thought.
Ha ha ha, I'm laughing my head off. And you'd probably be grumpy too if your best friend was just killed and you just got run out of the only home you've ever known to a tree infested bog with annoyingly cheerful xweetoks bugging you every step of the way! Thanks for asking!" Tani's voice rose in pitch on every word until she was practically shouting. Wow, I dodn't know how much I needed to let that out, she thought.
Kheiro shrugged. "I'm never grumpy. AND of course we don't want grumpy, moody xweetoks in the forest. Really.." she said. She tried to hide back her grin.
I'll keep that in mind while I try to give my personality a face lift." Tani said sarcastically. Suddenly, a pang in her stomach reminded her that she hadn't eaten in two days. "Hey, do you know where I can get some decent food around here?"
Kheiro giggled. "Oh yes, I do!" she replied.
Tani rolled her eyes. The oldest trick in the book for jokers. "And, where, please, could I get or find some food." Tani said through her teeth, trying to squash down some of her rising irritation.
Kheiro smirked. "Promise that you won't be moody?" she teased. It was true that she knew where there was food.
Cross my heart and hope to die, I will try to repress my sudden urge to strangle you." Tani said, as she crossed herself. "Now, I will break that promise if I don't get some caffine in the next five seconds."
Kheiro smirked. "Okay" she turned. "Follow me.." she said. She dashed down the forest path, and flew to a new path. She landed next to a berry bush.
Wow, uh, that looks delicious." Tani said cynically. But, she was starving, so she took a bite of the strange berries. The flavors burst in her mouth, like every delicious thing she had ever tasted! Tani couldn't help looking surprised at the tang of the fruit.
Kheiro smirked. "I see you like the berrys, huh?" she laughed. "Oh yeah, you forgot to say your manners" she teased. She wanted to show the other xweetok up.
Nyahh!" Tani said, as she opened her mouth to show Kheiro the half chewed fruit. "It's delicious, want some? It's pre-chewed!" Despite herself, she found that she was starting to like this strange xweetok. She certainly had enough enthusiasm for the both of them.
Kheiro picked some for herself. "By the way, my name is Kheiro, what's yours?" she asked. 'Gee, she's ungratful, not saying thank you' she thought.
Tanikaze, but my friends call me Tani. Or, at least they would if I had any friends." Tani said rather mournfully. She had tried to convince herself after her BFF died that friends were bad, that getting too attached to someone set you up for disaster. It was probably why she was trying to get Kheiro to go away. But, she couldn't help asking… "So, what clan are you in? I'm supposed to be a Lune Azar, whatever that means."
Moon fire" Kheiro replied. "I'm in Sorin Sora, "Sun air" she replied. She gave a frown. "Do you want me to go? You look like you don't want me here"
Tani winced. She didn't know that Kheiro was picking up her feelings. "No, it's okay. I'm just a little…distracted. Well, actually, I am feeling a little tired. Maybe you could show me where stuff is before the sun goes completely down. Tani indicated the rapidly sinking sun.
Kheiro led Tanikaze to a tree with an a door in. "The sun is setting down, so you can sleep here for the night." she explained. "I'll see you anouther time"
Not likely." Tani said, trying to pull off a brilliant act job and pretend she really didn't care. And she failed horribly. "If you ever see me again, it will be my retreating backside." Tani closed the door. Flopping onto the bed she smiled at the ceiling. Maybe though, just maybe, she might like it here…
