N Account Questions
Can I have some items or Neopoints?
Sorry, but no. I work hard—well, I work—for the things I earn on Neopets. It loses its sense of accomplishment if I suddenly start handing out items that took time and effort to achieve.
Can I have one of your pets?
Again, no. I created almost all of them, and searched for the right name for the ones I did. I saved up my Neopoints to buy the lab map pieces so I could zap them.
Can I borrow your lab map?
It amazes me how many people still ask this. You cannot, I repeat, CANNOT "lend" the lab ray to other people. As soon as you buy all nine pieces, have them together in your inventory, and visit the lab ray for the first time, the map disappears. You are now unable to sell, trade, or give away the pieces.
And if it were possible to take apart the map again and hand out each piece, I wouldn't give away the 400,000 NP I spent on the map to a stranger I can't trust entirely.
How long have you been on Neopets?
My very first account was created on December 6th, 2001.
What's the username of your first account?
I don't want to say. It's just an account that my friends and I know about from when we were crazy nine-year-olds taking care of virtual pets.
How many Neopoints do you have?
Not a lot at all. I don't have the patience for restocking, and the games I'm good at take too long to complete for 1000 NP. A few months ago I completed Jhudora's 20th quest for the avatar and ended up spending 50,000 NP. I still haven't made it all back.
To sum up, I'm quite poor compared to most experienced Neopets users. The most Neopoints I've had at one time are around 500,000.
Are you an avatar collector?
I guess you could call me that. I try my best to get a lot of secret avatars and I always want to be original with the ones I use. Unfortunately I don't have nearly enough collateral for most avatar items.
How did you come up with your pets names?
I seem to be very unusual when I'm at the computer alone. Sometimes I talk to myself, sometimes I sing, and sometimes I'm full of nonsense. (Okay, I'm always full of nonsense.) Anyway, whenever I'm creating a new pet I put pairs of letters together in my mind and say them aloud to see what sounds nice. Or if I'm feeling blah I'll find a word in the dictionary. It's crazy how many words have already been used.
Why is your account named underminedauthority? What does it mean?
If you break it up, it's undermined authority. I was thinking of a Baby Blues comic when I came up with it, where one of the characters says "Question authority!" At the time, I wasn't thinking straight and put in undermined instead.
To clear things up, I am NOT "undermind, "undetermined", or "underminted". Although underminted does sound neat. I should make a Neopet with that name.
If you hate chatspeak, why was your old account avril_gurl46, with a 'u' in girl?
I used chatspeak all the time back in the day.
Are you still upset that your old account got frozen?
No. It's been more than a year. The only thing that irritates me is the terrible responses to the forms I sent it, trying to retrieve my account.
What happened to your screenies?
After the user that inspired me to make them,
crazedfrogluver13, got frozen, I sort of lost interest. Actually, my screenie updates sort of went downhill in August, because I went on vacation. I never felt like updating, and come the freezing of my Neopets "idol", it wasn't fun anymore.
In January 2006 I decided I was going to keep working on them, so I took a bunch but never uploaded them, and therefore never put them on my pet's page. I had also lost all my idiot screenies when I transferred Sequiro so my friend could get the Slorg avatar. I didn't go on the boards often anymore, therefore finding moronic screenshot opportunities was rare. I like board screenies more than others, so I just stopped taking them altogether.
In August 2006 I took a few idiot screenies because I was hoping to start them up again. Now I'm unsure what I want to do and how much free time I have to take them.
Do you go on Neopets daily?
I used to. Things came up and I wasn't able to go online as often, and my obsession decreased slightly. Now that I manage two ever-growing websites and have more real-life things to deal with, I seem to find less time to log on. I usually always come online when I'm in the mood for Neopets, and once school starts it should become my after-school hobby again.
