Q: What is CttM?
A: CttM stands for Coolness to the Max. It is a group of people who collect avatars who wish to escape from siggy pet boards, WoM waiting rooms, and contests to talk about avatars. Another name for it is EACC, which stands for Experienced Avatar Collectors' Chat.

Q: Can I be in CttM?
A: If this is referring to the CttM guild, it's likely the answer is no. For one it is private because it is a group of people who all know each other and would like it to stay that way. If you don't know CttMers then you'd probably be wasting your time. If you're referring to the neoboard CttM, which only goes by EACC nowadays, then go ahead and try to join in. It may take a couple of weeks of everyone seemingly ignoring you or one day and everyone will love you. But don't give up because people seem rude, people will warm up to you if you give them the chance.

Q: What is a reg?
A: A reg is a regular, meaning they frequent a certain board. Every board has it's group of regs (BDers, HCers, GCers... there is a group of regs for each type of board, usually.) In our case, someone in CttM/EACC could be classified as a CttMer, EACCer, or just an ACer.

Q: Am I good enough for CttM? I have (insert # of avatars)
A: It's not necessarily the number of avatars that counts, it's the experience and personality (and interest in avatars) behind them.
(Not to mention we kind of get annoyed at people asking if you're good enough. Introduce yourself and start talking, though don't just barge in, and if people ignore you try
again later. You may have come in at a wrong time.)
Any harsh words will not make you welcome.
Keep in mind... CttM/EACC is hardly like the randomly named avatar chat groups you see on the Avatar Chat NeoBoard. We've been there much longer than any other group, and we don't make you do some silly action to join.

Q: How are people invited?
A: A council member decides who they want to invite, and they make sure the other council members approve, and voilĂ ! They're invited.

Q: What about the people in CttM? How many are there?
A: In the guild there are less than 90 people (Including guild accounts, and such.) On the boards there are many more, but they're hardly as easy to count. (Estimated 150-250 people total, perhaps)

(Not really a question, but this happens a lot :K)
Q: CttM people are stuck up
A: I beg to differ. Although I couldn't say I'm not stuck up without sounding stuck up, CttM are not a bunch of snobs. They are my friends, and I respect them. The title, CttM, is not our subject at all! We are not going about saying how cool we are. The title of the boards (So and so is COOLNESS TO THE MAX, usually) is just a title to honor a CttMer, and tell other CttMers to come.
(Of course I know not everyone in CttM/EACC is arrogance-free, but as a whole we are not concentrated on our 'greatness'.)
Note: This is a bit out-of-date because we don't make those board titles anymore due to people are convinced we're arrogant because of the title or other people kept using it themselves, usually to actually spam.

Q: Why don't you use the guild boards?
A: I do, actually, and quite a bit. But even though I am in the guild I don't want to cut off everyone who didn't quite make it, or who aren't interested in leaving their guild for it. If the guild was made before the boards it would probably be another matter entirely.
Q: Why are you in CttM?
A: CttM is a guild full of people who know each other. As all of them are my friends I am in. :)

Finishing Up
I interpret the title, Coolness to the Max, as talking about avatars (they are cool, aren't they? ;)) or all of my friends. ^_^ I don't consider myself 'cool'. (We didn't even make up the title!)
The guild is private because we are a close group of friends. We don't give out freebies or anything of the sort, and don't even think about asking to get in because you want to look cool. Practically the only thing we do in CttM is chat, and it's not very fun to chat if you don't get all of the jokes that came from past antics and all of that. CttM is the best guild in the world, but only to those who are truly a part of it.

The Story Behind the Name
In late 2003 someone began making boards praising famous avatar collectors. The boards were called something like "Famous Avatar Collector is COOLNESS TO THE MAX!!!" Just to tell you, I wasn't even going to the Neoboards back then. Anyway, eventually the famous avatar collector(s) started coming to the boards, along with various curious people, and they just kept on making them and it became a great place to talk about avatars. Months later some of the people who had met and become friends because of those boards made a guild. The boards still continued, though not by their original title.

The Boards
Nowadays everyone who makes an CttM/EACC board isn't in the official guild. The EACCers are avatar collectors who are continuing the old CttM boards under the name of EACC. Most of the boards that contain "CTTM" in the title nowadays have nothing to do with the original avatar chat. They are usually some sort of praise for a person or a petpage or whatever.

EACC Disclaimer
As is stated in the above section, though not as clearly as would be liked, EACC is not quite the same as CttM used to be, and isn't the same as the CttM guild. The majority of EACC is not in the CttM guild, so while the two groups may have come from the same people, and a good deal of the members in each group know each other and some frequent both, they are not the same anymore. In general this FAQ is speaking of what CttM the guild is, what CttM on the NeoBoards was before, and some of what EACC is now.

To Report or Not to Report?
There are many report-happy people out there. I hope you're not one, but if you are I want to tell you something. CttM is in no way, shape or form against the rules. Give me reasonable proof that CttM in general is against the rules. We talk about avatars and we do sometimes get off-topic, but tell me where it says it's against the rules to be off-topic. Wouldn't you rather real spam, where there is no semblance of anything being on-topic, be deleted? People seem to think think CttM/EACC boards are spamming because they keep seeing the topic on the Avatar Chat NeoBoard. But that's only because everyone keeps chatting, and the board is bumped up. We're a very active bunch, and you can practically always find an EACC board. 24/7. Activeness is not a crime.

About Being Invited
I'm on the council, so I'm one of the five people with the power to invite. Sadly, that doesn't mean I'm going to invite you just because you want to get in. The guild is private for a reason, and even though I have the power to invite I don't invite people I don't even know. If I or anyone else on the council don't know you then you're not getting in, sorry. And even if we do know you that's not necessarily a ticket to our guild.

Getting on a CttMer/EACCer's Good Side
Be polite. Don't jump to conclusions because someone was perhaps rude to you, we are usually nice. Spamming, siggy pets, begging, chat speak... Generally the usual things that bug people will not make you very welcome. Insulting someone is not a good idea, it could very well be a very liked person, and you probably won't get any mercy. Remember, we aren't perfect, we never claimed to be perfect. Don't act as if you are, either, and with respect you should be fine.

Making Boards
If you decided to start chatting in CttM/EACC within the last week, or even within the last month, it's not a great idea to make a board. Usually only the people who everyone knows and has been a part of the chat for a while make boards. People would probably ask who you are if you're new.
