Hello guest, welcome to my little spot of jungle paradise. My name is Taikkal. I care for the chao that live here.
What is a chao you may ask?
A Chao (Prounounced: Chow) are little creatures that you hatch from eggs and care for. Chao are somewhat complex, responding to stimuli; they have moods, they require food, and they can be loving or fearful.
During raising, Chao have statistics: Swimming, Flying, Running, Power, and Stamina, as well as luck and intelligence, which are not quite as obvious. These statistics can be raised through proper Chao raising, and will enable a Chao to do better in their competitions: racing and karate.
Chao start life in an egg state. There are many different colors of eggs, reflecting the type of Chao that will hatch from them. As they grow up, they may be trained with different attributes, abilities, and personalities. By giving a Chao a "small animal" or a "chaos drive", it will acquire certain characteristics. Besides a physical change to the Chao, this will also modify the Chao's stats based on the type of animal or power drive given. A Chao gains an alignment depending on how it is raised. This may be a "hero", "dark" or "neutral" alignment.
Every Chao lives in a Chao Garden. Each garden is unique, though they all have these things in common: areas for Chao to swim, trees that grow nuts to feed the Chao, and a VMU/GBA Transporter.[citation needed] Chao can compete with each other in competitions such as races and karate, with outcomes largely determined by a Chao's stats. They will eventually gain the ability to reproduce. Eventually the Chao will enter a cocoon and be reborn as a new egg, or it will die. This depends on whether the player has taken adequate care of it during its lifetime.Players can also evolve the Chao into a special Chaos Chao, which cannot die.
As I said before, caring for these Chao is my task. I use the Chao garden here in Mystic Ruins to raise them. However, there is only so much space in one garden, and it is getting a little bit to full. If you ask nicely enough, and promise to take care of it, I'll let you adopt your very own chao for your kacheek. :3

Description: A very small, shy kacheek who does her best to look after her chao. Although sometimes she makes unwise desicions, her actions are always done with good intent and she has a heart of pure gold. She is based off Tikal the Echidna from Sonic Adventure.
Role in Sonic Adventure: She is trying to stop her father Pachacamac from stealing the Chaos Emeralds from the Master Emerald shrine, which would lead to the guardian Chaos being unleashed.
