...read a piece of paper lying on a scraggly old desk. You returned it to its resting place and further observed the third room of the Main Andara Household.
The abode looked rather hastily slammed together. An unkempt bed in the corner, a sloppy bookshelf with an array of everything but books, and a desk with extremely old yellowing papers and black and white photographs all rotted within its walls. One picture in particular was eye catching. It held the memories of two laughing children, a boy and a girl, in what appeared to be a forested setting. Turning away from the photo, you continued to inspect the room. Above the desk, sunlight flooded through two windows, revealing the invisible dust suspended in the air, giving the room an almost ancient feeling.

...it took me far too long to realize that offense and defense aren't the same thing....

Startled, you quickly turn around and come face to face with a Lutari. He was a rather tall, lanky looking fellow. His eyes weren't focused on you at all, he was looking straight through you at the wall. You get the feeling it wasn't on purpose. He wasn't blind, of course, but he certainly didn't "see" you.

You here to hear my story? I'll be happy to tell it, stories are fun, especially when they're about me.

oh... I should tell you who I am! I'm sorry, Zel says I'm a bit scatterbrained, actually, everyone says that.

My name is Tidus, not Taedium Vitae, don't call me that. That was my father's name...

A spectral solid black thing (which according to his lookup was a gruslen, but didn't look anything like one) appeared behind him and growled.


Oh, and this is my er... Gruslen, Urdur.

That's a gruslen? Yeah right, and I'm a faerie draik, you couldn't help but retort.

The "gruslen" circled around a few times before settling itself firmly on the ground.

The ruse is up Tidus, might as well give it up.

She um.. talks.... He lost his words and jabbed his thumb in Urdur's general direction. We'll, uh, ... get to that.

I bet you want to know what I'm like, other than awesome, of course. Well for--
Well you're sure getting chatty, Tidus, not to mention full of yourself.. Listen guest, I'll tell you all about him, he tends to forget what he's actually like anyway. Actually, he forgets a lot of things. That's probably my fault, but we'll get to that. Blah...
Tidus is a klutz, I don't know if you've noticed, but every time he moves he's practically in danger of falling down. He's always been like that. He can also get kinda talkative too, as you've noticed, he forgets what his point is. It's really easy to get him off track of things; although you'd be surprised he can actually get stuff done if he focuses hard enough.
Don't get me wrong though, he's a good friend, and he's actually pretty noble I guess, if you get past his arrogant tendencies. (Too bad he isn't very smart. haha! x3) Surprisingly he always manages to stay fairly calm during most stressful situations. He puts on some convincing masks, though I have to wonder if he's all the way there....

Appearance well, I actually have pretty black hair, and blue eyes, but you can't tell can you? haha. no, I'm in my shadow form now, It looks like a dog, because dogs are my favorite animal! x3 I also have a light form that's more in my likeness, but... my shadow form is more fun. cccc:

well, being the intelligent person you are, you've probably guessed that I'm not a Gruslen. Haha, Tidus and I just decided it would be best if I posed as a petpet rather than something like a lupe. o3o

Gruslens looked the most like my shadow form you see, it was easy to fool the system.
I don't have a physical form (although Tidus has this weird obsession with getting that back for me, but he really shouldn't...), I.. I lost it a long time ago. My two sisters and I did something very bad, and our punishment was to be reduced to mere spectral forms. Unfortunately, my punishment doesn't end there, and now it also affects Tidus too. .____.;
... if you stick around to hear our story, you'll know why soon...
Why do I have to hide? In case He finds me... I can't let him know of our existance.

Well, Ur went on and on about me so it's only fair that I get to describe her . She'll just describe herself in the most Negative way possible anyway.

She's a total pessimist, and she always blames herself for every little thing! She's getting better about that though, Of course, she does have the world's best role model as a friend. ;D
She's a great friend too, despite what she'll probably tell you. I think she's very kind at least. She always puts others before herself.
She won't let past things go, though, and she's always worried and anxious. You've probably heard her nervous laugh already. x3
Regardless, she works hard to improve herself and atone I guess. Really, out of the three sisters, she's the only one who was smart enough to avoid His trap.

The Tale

Unfortunately, Tidus can never remember his own background, that's my curse's fault. Because of me, he can't even remember the names his own family members...Although there are some things I'm glad he doesn't recall...like why he can't see very well out of his right eye, did you know that..? hmm, you'll know why too, it's sad.
My point is I'm going to have to tell our story. Tidus would get off track and exaggerate everything anyway...
What do you mean exaggerate.. o3o I'd tell my epic heroic tale just the way it is!
Alright genius, where were you born? do even know the beginning?
