Who We Are
And Why We're Here
Here at Project Awaken we provide an escape from the typical Neopets life. We are here to help open everyones eyes from the norm and unleash their full potential. We are a close-knit community aimed to help one another succeed. And for this reason, we do not accept just anyone. You can find more about this in the Is It Right For Me section below.
There are also a few things that we do not do. These things, are what makes us different from everyone else, and in our eyes, better.
We do not:
-Ask for your money (ie. guild "donation")
-Ask for all of your time (just activity)
-Run useless things (ie. guild adoption agencies, newspaper)
-Host the same, boring, activites
-Raise our member count just for the sake of doing so
-Judge you based on post count
-Have permanent council! Based upon the last weeks activities council is earned. No powers granted. Spots are rotated weekly, depending on who did what last week. For example, one council spot is earned by winning the most amount of activities. There are various ways to earn these available spots. Only our members can know how to obtain all of these spots. Looks like you'll just have to join to find out.. (because that's a hard choice.. :D)
What We Expect From Our Members
AKA, The Rules
1. As if I need to say it; Follow all Neopets rules.
2. Use correct grammar. (ie. try to type you instead of u)
3. Make quality posts. (Quality is much better than quantity. Post count gets you nowhere in this guild. We know who posts and who doesn't.)
4. No triple posting. (We understand double posts happen. You say one thing and others have said something while you were typing. No need to wait to respond.)
5. If you expect to be called by a certain name, (that is different from your username) we expect it to be in your signature. Just for the sake of simplicity.
6. No outside arguments. If you have a problem with a guild member, post and we will help you resolve it. Going behind backs causes much more problems.
7. Help. We simply expect help from everyone. You should always be willing to help out your fellow guild members. This by no means involves spending neopoints. Do not feel obligated to do this whatsoever. However, advice, information, etc. should always be offered by everyone available.
8. We are not a hotel you check in and out of. You come to stay. Should you leave, then you have left. Do not expect to be welcomed back with open arms. We are here to stay, so you had better be too.
What (not) To Expect
Once you have entered our realm...
Here are just some of the great things you can expect from us:
- Caring and committed members
- A refreshing environment
- Plenty of activities to keep you busy
- All of the help you could ever ask for
- Us asking for your input, frequently.
- Simply, the truth.
Some things that you should not expect are:
- Council. It must be earned
- Free things on a regular basis. No random giveaways.
- Avatar Lending (Members will help, but no official system is there.)
- Newspaper (It's called the Neopian Times.)
- Adoption Agency (There are HUGE ones out there. Find them.)
- Newbie Packs (You already got one when you started. You don't need any money/free things to survive in this guild.)
- Fillings of any sort. Everything that is in this guild and that surrounds it is here for a purpose. Every word on this page, every active member, every activity; it is all there for a reason and all completely maintained to be the best it can be.
- NO GUILD DONATION SHOP! If everyone in the guild ever decides to start a fund raiser for something, then that is when it will happen. As of now, the only thing you could possibly spend money for the guild on is the kadoatery, which we even work to minimize the amount of money you could possibly spend. All items are gathered and used as giveaways to those that deserve them. You cannot buy popularity/ranks in this guild.
