Personality: Ryo's true form is unknown. Although he can transform into any kind of creature, he has yet to find out his true form. For now, he's just a Plushie Aisha.

Ryo sells creatures and items from Yamato, his hometown, to the Neopians in Neopia. The main area that you will see his booth is in the Haunted Woods--the perfect place to find Neopians interested in creepy, magical items or creatures. If he's in his human form, Ryo is dressed in a red jacket and tie.

Not too long ago, Ryo found a lonely Ona named Sid in Neopia. Ryo usually works alone, but he decided to make an exception for Sid. In order to help Sid blend in and look professional, Ryo plans to paint Sid Mutant.

Ryo sells merchandise, and he likes to keep some of his favorites. His favorite creatures are the squids and the Mouse-bees. The squids have arms that can extend up to 6 feet in length, which comes in handy when you need to reach something that's too far or too high for you. Mouse-bees are very unique creatures. They're like vampires in a way--they feed on blood. After they are fed, they become large and vicious. The one item that he has kept for himself is a staff. Its powers have not yet been released, but they will when the time is right.

Ryo is a sinister creature that studies the darker magic. But deep down inside, you'll find a method to his madness and evil habits. In order to get to Yamato, a sliding screen door flies down in front of you. If you step in, you will be in Yamato.

Pyrotechnics The dark red and black flames that float around Ryo are called pyrotechnics. They are filled with little bits of magic that Ryo uses to go from world to world. The magic inside of the pyrotechnics can be used for other things too. When Ryo is doing something bad, the pyrotechnics change color to a dark purple.

Design Concept Ryo's personality was inspired by my favorite Manga, Pick of the Litter by Yuriko Suda. That's where the idea of him selling magical creatures/items and living in Yamato(the world in the book) came from. For the most part, the creatures that he sells came from the manga(Mouse-bees, squids, bug-eating plants, etc.)

At first, you could only gape in awe at what you saw. A pig-man, squids with long arms, and many other things that aren't describable. You looked around for someone who looked human. Finally, you found someone. He was wearing a long, red jacket, tie, and pair of combat boots. You could see that he was worried as he pushed carelessly through the crowd. He was holding a big box that had something written in symbols that you couldn't read. He stopped in front of you.

Hello, you said. Do you know where I am?

Yes, of course I know where you are, he said breathlessly. You're in Yamato, a world full of magic and wonders.

Who are you? you asked curiously.

My name is Ryo, he replied.

Short Story

Ryo stumbled out of bed and got on his work outfit. He let out one of the squids he was selling to help him carry stacks of papers. He carried the cages of creatures himself and stepped outside. With the warm summer breeze tickling Ryo's face, he continued down the dirt road of Yamato waving to everyone he saw. Soon enough, he rounded a corner. Ryo still had his burning black and red pyrotechnics with him so that he could make it to Neopia. But first he had to change into his Neopet form. Ryo released some of the magic from a pyrotechnic. His body was shrinking and shifting as he transformed into a Plushie Aisha. With another bit of magic from his pyrotechnic, Ryo was able to teleport to the Haunted Woods in Neopia. Handling his merchandise with care, he set up his booth. The sign on his booth read 'Rare Creatures for Sale'.

Ryo watched the eerie Neopians glance at his booth as they strolled through town. A booming sound filled the Haunted Woods. It was the big clock striking 12 in Neovia that was a few miles away. Ryo tied a leash around a Mouse-bee and yanked it out of the cage. The creature was nipping and struggling to fly free, but it was no use. Its short, stubby arms were not even long enough to reach the rope tied around its belly. It was time for Ryo to get rid of this vicious Mouse-bee, and maybe others. It was time to act like the Mouse-bee was his little show dog, for Ryo had to try and sell it to the Neopians.

Come one, and come all," Ryo hollered. "Purchase some rare items and creatures that can only be found here!" Neopians gathered to see what Ryo was talking about. There were a lot of 'oohs' and 'ahs', for they had never seen a creature like the Mouse-bee. It had a mouse body, a bird beak, and beautiful long wings. Its fur was as soft as silk, and it looked as cute as a button. However, they did not know what this little guy was capable of doing.

What is that thing," a Halloween Mynci urged. His cloak covered his glowing red eyes, so all you could see was his razor sharp teeth. He swung his scythe in his hand and tapped his foot impatiently.

Ryo smirked and answered, "This is a Mouse-bee. They are very uncommon and extremely rare. In fact, they're almost extinct!"

I'll take one," the mynci smiled. "How much does the Mouse-bee cost?"

Oh, you only need to pay a small adoption fee. 50,000 NP would be enough."

The mynci's jaw practically dropped. "Are you serious?"

I'm as serious as can be. Mouse-bees are quite rare, aren't they," Ryo remarked. "I think the price sounds fair. Or should I raise it to 100,000?"

No, no. 50,000 is fine," the mynci quickly said as he laid out the money.

A sly smile spread across Ryo's face as he handed the mynci the leash. "Enjoy… But don't get too excited." His pyrotechnics faded from a dark black and red to a deep violet. Ryo was up to no good.

The mynci ripped off his hood to get a closer look at his new possession. "I think I'll name you Kali," he said to the Mouse-bee.

Soon enough, the lurkers came out from their hiding spots to purchase a Mouse-bee of their own. There were red, orange, camouflage, and even rainbow colored Mouse-bees. Kali stayed by her owner's side, and scratched behind her ear with her paw. Her stomach rumbled—it must be feeding time. She landed gracefully on the mynci's shoulder. With her sharp beak, Kali pierced a small hole in the mynci's shoulder that drew blood. Like a vampire, Kali drank the little bit of blood that was drawn.

Ouch!" the mynci shouted in pain. "That hurt, Kali!"

To the mynci's surprise, Kali turned into a horrifying creature. Her body was no longer positioned in a cute slouch, for now her back had a hunch. Her button-like eyes turned into bulging red ones. Kali stuck out her long, red tongue that was as thin and long as a snake's. She was still thirsty. The other Mouse-bees followed Kali's actions, for they were also thirsty. Neopians screamed and ran in horror as their new pet chased them.

Ryo cackled as he flipped over the sign over his booth so that it read "Mouse-bee Repellent for Sale—100k".

The Neopians paid Ryo quickly and handed the Mouse-bees over to him in disgust. Everyone was alright, but they did have a few bite marks here and there. The Neopians fled out of sight.

Neopians are so silly," Ryo snickered. "They bought something they didn't know anything about."

Would you like any help with that box? You offered politely.

That would be great, Ryo answered as he hand you the box carefully. This is very fragile, so please don't drop the box.

You nodded slowly. The box was heavy and was vibrating so much that you were shaking aggressively. What was in that box? You were stymied. It could be anything, for you were in whole different world.

Let me show you where you need to put this, Ryo ordered. Follow me! Ryo walked quickly down the dirt road with you trailing closely behind.

Plans

Of course, I have many plans for Ryo. If I didn't have any then I would be applying. I decided to list my plans below:

Pet Lookup- I'm working on giving all of my pets fancy lookups. So far, all on my main account and some on my sides have lookups. I made a lookup that I plan on using for Ryo's lookup, and it looks like this:

Petpage- I plan on giving Ryo a very nice petpage. I might use this one since it looks amazing. If not, Ryo will host my art page while I figure things out. On his petpage, there will be adoptables, and you will see some examples on this page.

Story- Besides the one on this page, I plan on making another short story. The story will be about Ryo and his future petpet Sid.

Petpet I plan on giving Ryo a Mutant Ona. I have one sitting in my gallery that has been waiting for the perfect owner to come around. Ryo's Mutant Ona will be named Sid.

Main Account Obviously, Ryo would be on my main account. Right now, I have no room. I don't want to move any of my pets off my main account until right before I adopt Ryo.

Customization- Of course, I plan on customizing Ryo. I think that customizing is very cool, and makes a pet unique. Below is the customization plan for Ryo:

Ghostkerchief Swarm Also another item I got recently. It gives an extra eerie effect to Ryo's look.

Spooky Spyder Top Hat I don't have this item, but it shouldn't be hard to trade for.

Ritzy Aisha Jacket This is a Neopoint item, but it looked nice on him. I will have to start playing KQ again to get enough neopoints for this.

Ritzy Aisha Shoes This is another Neopoint item, and it also looked good. It matches the suit at least xD

Skeletal Face Paint This item is going to be hard to get, and I know that. I'm going to buy NC in March and offer a custom.

Here Lies Fluffy I don't have this item, but I'm looking to get it. Originally, Here Lies Fluffy was not included in Ryo's future customization. When I saw what it looked like, I thought it looked very cute and tied the look together.

Plushie Aisha Named Ryoisamu Obviously, I need Ryo in order to complete the customization. He's the one pet that is needed for this customization, and he fits perfectly with it.

Looking at all of the interesting shops and buildings, you followed Ryo. Ryo stopped in front of a store with a sign that said 'Hotaru'.This is my shop, he explained as he threw the door open.

You stared in amazement at what you saw when you walked in. It was a creature that looked like a mouse with wings and a beak. What is this? you asked as you pointed to the creature.

They're Mouse-bees. Don't pet them... They're nasty.

You staggered away from the cage and followed Ryo into his office. With papers flying everywhere, the room was a mess. You placed the box you were holding on Ryo's desk sat in a seat in front of his desk, and Ryo sat in his chair behind his desk.

So where are you from, and what are you doing in Yamato?

I... came here on accident, you admitted. I live on Earth. You didn't know what else to tell him.

Adopt Your Own Mouse-bee

I thought it would be kind of cool if you could adopt some of the creatures that Ryo sells. Once I adopt Ryo, I will also make Aisha Adoptables and Squid Adoptables. These are examples of the Mouse-bees, which is why they are just plain and only one color. Please take them if you wish!

Since Mouse-bees can't even fit into any entry for the BC, I only have 2 rules:

1: Always leave credit. I don't care where you put it, but please leave credit where you are using these.
2: Don't use these in any Art Contests.

Goodbye

You nodded with interest. Of course I would! You could see Ryo's eyes begin to glow as he went over to a glass cabinet. Inside, you could see some kind of flame balls floating. Ryo grabbed two, but they just hovered over his hands. He held them out to you.

Take one, he informed. It's a pyrotechnic. Just watch the flames

Your hand shook as you held it out. Pyrotechnics are like fireworks. Would it explode in your hand? Ryo dropped the pyrotechnic in your hand. You didn't feel any heat coming from its flame, for the pyrotechnic hovered just above your hand like Ryo's did.

You watched the pitch black and red color of the flame change to a sea blue and then to a vivid purple. The pyrotechnic trembled in your hand and burst into a beautiful rainbow of color. You kept your eyes on the ceiling as the pyrotechnics spelled out 'Welcome to Yamato, guest. I hope you enjoyed your visit.'

The words disappeared into thin air, and the pyrotechnic returned to its original state. Ready to go? Ryo asked with a wide smile on his face.

When you left that day, you were not the same. You saw a creature that made the unreal seem real. You also met Ryo who was very mysterious. You wanted to know more about him, and hoped to visit Yamato again and see more.

Thank you, Kiri, for letting me Ryoisamu. At least, when March rolls around. I will be forever grateful.
