WELCOME TO THE TERROR MOUNTAIN TIMES

Welcome to the Terror Mountain Times (TMT) homepage; your hub for information on team Terror Mountain in the Altador Cup. The TMT came into creation at the start of ACV as a way to motivate, amuse, educate, entertain and inform TM players when they needed a break from gaming. We may or may not be back for AC VII. Read below for more on our current status. The TMT gets updated with new articles about every one to three days, or whenever our writers find time to whip something up. If you would like to become a writer for the Terror Mountain Times, or if you have an idea, questions, comments or suggestions, just contact dreww355.

It is almost time for AC VII to begin! Unfortunately I will not be around much this year. I am off traveling for a few months and probably won't have too much time to spend on the AC. I definitely won't be able to play any games, as my tablet doesn't support flash games. However, I might be around the boards from time to time and I will definitely check in on how we are doing. TM will always have my support! Right now I'm not too sure about the future of the TMT. If there is a real desire for it to continue this year, and if my lovely writers are willing to return then it might just be updated. Otherwise it will sit here as an archive of AC VI until next year. Good luck TM and play your hearts out. I'm still cheering all of you on!

The Games are Done But the Memories Will Live on
July 10, 2011

The time has come again for us to wave goodbye to Prytraiel, Evrem, Rinok, Osielle, Minae, Kate, Francesca (or whatever we decided to call the slushie lady) and most importantly each other. Once the AC board is taken down and TOTM moves to the Other Worlds board, we will all go back to our lives without the AC. For some this might mean migrating over with TOTM to continue chatting, or moving back to some other chat group, while others might take another 10-month hiatus till the next AC.

In classic AC fashion, this year has been filled with its ups and downs. There is no doubt that we have grown as a team since ACV. This year we branched out from our old sidegame ways and had the confidence to try and win key YYB matches. We even surprised ourselves by winning or drawing some of these matches. Our dedication and hard work paid off by allowing us to get into the second tier. Even though we didn't move up from eighth during the finals, we still finished in the highest place ever. Many pre-cup prediction pages had us staying in the mid third tier or even moving back down to the fourth tier. I'm thrilled that we proved all those people wrong.

However our success this year would not have happened without the amazing work of some amazing TMers. I would first and foremost like to congratulate and thank all of our outstanding all-stars and those who went above and beyond, reaching such made up milestones as "double all-star". Reaching that most coveted rank is no easy task and it truly shows your dedication to our team. Your work each and every single day was inspiring. A list of this years all-stars can be found to the left.

Next I would like to thank all of the TM/TOTM veterans who return year after year. You are the ones who make TOTM what it is. You are here every AC playing your heart out with the dream of one day seeing TM win the cup. At the start of every AC I'm always delighted to see how many oldies return. Without you our team and TOTM would not be the amazing place that it is. If you did not return, there would be no one to joke around with about Kate or the sound that lasers make or the makeup cannon ;).

A huge thank you is also in order for all the members of the dream team that chose to join us this AC. At first it was a little strange seeing a new group of people who were already friends join TOTM and it certainly took a while to learn all of your names. I think that you've been a bit misunderstood at times (even by myself). However I've come to really like you guys and your quirky sense of humor. You are a hard working, fiery, fun group of people. I don't think it's any secret that you were definitely a huge reason behind our success this year.

I'd also like to thank all the first year TMers who poured their heart and soul into the team and the game. You guys are the ones who we'd like to see around again for the next AC. Some of you are such a perfect fit for the team and it feels like you've been here for many years.

Finally, I'd like to thank all those individuals who helped to motivate everyone on the team. I know that we went through some fairly dark periods this year, but I'm happy to say that due to the wise and inspirational words of some key TOTMers, we were able to pull through. The time, energy and effort you put into motivating the team is just as valuable as those big hoards you posted at the end of the night.

That about wraps it up for ACVI. I'm sorry that I wasn't around more for the second half of the AC or the finals, but sometimes RL stuff has to come first. Hopefully I'll remember to stop by TOTM in the offseason more than I did last year. Right now I have every intention of returning for AC VII to join TM once again. Thank you for all the great ACVI memories and enjoy the rest of your summer!

A Statistical Perspective
June 23, 2011

I would just like to provide some perspective in regards to our last few matches. Look at these stats from the first round compared to the second round:

Team / First Round / Second Round
MI / W/W/W/W / D/W/W/D
KI / L/W/W/D / L/W/W/D
MD / L/L/W/D / L/D/W/W
VP / L/W/L/W / L/W/L/W

I'm a stats kind of guy and when all else fails I like to fall back on the numbers. Looking at these stats, we stayed exactly the same for two matches (KI, VP almost side game sweeps), improved in one match (MD) and did slightly worse in one match (MI). Now I know some people like to strategize and come up with plans and that's all fine and dandy. However I don't think this is any time to start ringing the alarm bells and panicking. We are doing just as well as we did in the first round against these top level teams. Is our tough schedule the past few days to blame for our drop in the standings? Maybe. Are other top teams just doing better this round compared to last round? Maybe. Are other teams becoming more strategic? Maybe.

I realize that there has been a huge push on for the last few days to get a win in YYB. I believe that quite a bit of the disappointment/panic/anger/what ever else people are feeling stems from us not winning or drawing in YYB after all the effort put into playing. I understand this, and it sucks.

However, please try and understand that overall, our team is NOT doing any worse this round, despite what many of the prediction pages may say. As far as I can tell so far, we are just about staying the same and "the same" for us ain't too shabby. Will staying the same get us to the first tier? Probably not, and this is most likely another concern for some people. I know the hope was to improve in the second round so we could clinch a spot in the first tier. Although this isn't happening yet (there's still a number of days left in the always unpredictable AC) I will stress again that we are not on a decline, despite what the overall standing may show.

I think that the best quote I can provide to all of you is:
KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON!

YYB All Knight, Every Knight
June 21, 2011

Great job against KI! We didn't improve in the results, but we stayed consistent with our results in the first Round Robin which is pretty impressive, considering that was near the beginning of the Cup when we had a lot more firepower. Also, if you look on the scoring page, there IS a different in scores. YYB is vastly improved, and that's amazing. Although we didn't come out with the win in YYB, the old saying "you are your own fiercest competitor" could be used, and the fact that we improved upon our YYB score is great. Hopefully we can do that again today.

It's going to be hard to improve, let alone pull of a win. I'm going to be completely honest, it will be. The wins we manage to pull off now will be even more well-deserved and even harder to earn from here on out because of the fact that we're getting burnt out. We're falling into the mid-season slump, and unfortunately, it's rather hard to predict when we'll pull ourselves out. At this point in the Cup it may get really difficult to find motivation, but that's why I'm here!

Just remember that ESPECIALLY now, everyone's effort matters. More people will be needing to take breaks, and more often than at the beginning of the Cup, so that "the team will be fine without me" mindset might not be true all the time. I encourage everyone to take breaks when they need it, of course! That's one of the ways we'll be able to overcome this slump. However, the key is to make sure we don't all take a break at the same time, and that we do our best when we're not on a break. Everyone's getting tired of playing the same four games over and over, especially if you've already reached All Star or are already high up in the ranks. It's not easy to keep playing, but I know every person on this team is capable of it.

Just start trying different things with your playing, keep searching for ways to motivate yourself. What's something you love? What's something you REALLY want to do right now instead of play YYB? All right, keep thinking of it. Then think about a YYB goal that will be difficult for you to reach but IS reachable. If you reach that goal, go do whatever you want to do instead of play YYB! That might work for you, at least a little bit. It also might not; different things work for different people. Another way to motivate yourself? Find someone with a similar rank as you and race them to the next rank, the next two ranks, or maybe even All Star. Try to beat your team mates that are already ahead of you in the rankings, listen to awesome music while you play, rotate between two or three games so you don't feel like you're dying after every goal of YYB. Listen to books on tape, watch movies, do some of your homework after you play a certain amount of games. Just keep trying to find ways to motivate yourself, and if all else fails, remember that your effort DOES matter, regardless of how small you think it is. With our team being busy and burnt out, we have even less people playing every day, which puts more weight on the people playing. Now is the time for you to start putting up those massive scores you've wanted to for so long! Believe in yourself and the team as a whole- you may just be capable of more than you think.

Despite all of that, know your limits, and if you're making yourself completely miserable, take a break! But DON'T take a break based on the team we're playing, because we could suffer some serious consequences there. Take breaks based on when you need them, and if you're horribly burnt out, go play outside. Do you remember what fresh air smells like? Maybe it's a good time to go refresh your memory. If you do that, who knows, your Altador Cup prowess might be refreshed too.

Also remember that as important as winning is in the Altador Cup, having fun is more important. I encourage everyone to play as much as you can, but I encourage everyone even more to find ways to have FUN while playing. This only happens once a year, don't waste this time being grumpy and miserable. If your favorite part about the Altador Cup is chatting with the rest of your team, by all means, CHAT! Just remember to keep a balance, and we'll be just fine. Just remember that last year we were a little underdog team, surprising everyone with the fact that they managed to fight everyone in the third tier to claim ninth. Don't forget that- don't forget how much we've improved, but don't forget that if we get too over-confident, we could end up being that team again, just minus the fun surprise factor. D;

We can do this. Don't give up, because with every loss that gets put on the board, there's something to learn, and there's a chance of other teams letting their guard down against us. No team is going to be perfect, we won't win everything- in the end, what matters is that we get up and keep fighting.

Give Good Vibes, Get Good Vibes
June 15, 2011

Congratulations.
With everything that happened today, a congratulations is completely necessary. Congratulations for ending TY's SS streak. That's quite an accomplishment! Congratulations on one of the closest match-ups in AC history as well, and although we didn't get a ton of points for the match, we DID come out on top, and that is definitely something to be proud about. We worked really hard today, I know that for sure, and this extremely close win wasn't easy in the slightest- in fact, I wouldn't hesitate to say that it was one of our hardest match-ups yet. Thank you for working so hard today! Without every single game each of you played, we wouldn't have been able to pull off such a close win.

As important as that is, I mainly want to congratulate you on getting through the drama of the day. I hate to bring it back up, but I feel I need to say something about it. With how many games all of us play, the real lives we try (and usually fail =P) to cater to during the AC, and just whatever's bothering us for the day, drama will without a doubt happen. Drama happens on every single team. If you were to compare our team to a family, you'd know that drama happens in families too. Siblings get on your nerves; parents won't get off your back. Sometimes it goes on for weeks, sometimes it's just a day, sometimes it's just some massive argument that happens where everyone's thoughts and feelings come out, and then things can start to get better. On the other hand, sometimes it could potentially be an argument to ruin the family's relationship. Sometimes you just don't get along with people in your family. What do you do then?

I'm sure some of you keep arguing. If it's a person you don't like, you don't need to be nice to them, right? Even if they are a part of your family? Wrong. It's extremely difficult to be friendly to your family members you don't like- I would know that for sure. I can think of a few of my real family members I don't get along with too well. I'm not proud of it, that's for sure, but you can't change the past. All you can do is try to do better next time, try to make things right. And remember that regardless of if you get along, they're still your family, and they'll still always be there.

I know what you're thinking-"TM isn't really a family." That's true, but we function like one. Think about it- during the AC, you most likely spend more time with the team than you do with your real life family. The same thing applies here. You don't HAVE to like everyone in your family. You don't have to be perfect, you don't have to be nice all the time, but you do need to realize that regardless of what happens we are still a TEAM. A team that is like a family. And anything you do that affects one member of the family ripples out to the rest of the family, and before you know it everyone is distraught, everyone's scrambling, everyone's upset.

I truly do think of you guys as a second family. Do you annoy me sometimes? Of course, of course. Does my real family annoy me sometimes? Definitely. There is no possible way you're going to get along with everyone all the time, you're not always going to see eye to eye, you aren't always going to be right and neither is whoever you're arguing with. Sometimes there isn't anything you can do, but sometimes there is. And it's in those "sometimes" cases that I bring you The Steps of Serenity. =P

1. Take a deep breath
2. Keep in mind the "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything nice at all" quote.
3. Treat others how you'd like to be treated.
4. If you have a fit of rage, go outside and smash bugs.
5. An alternative to number four- kick puppies.
6. Don't actually do number five, throw a bouncy ball at the wall instead.
7. If you feel like you could frustrate someone or could do something you regret, either go away from the board or your computer. Playing is great, but not at the expense of a family member.
8. Rant to a friend. Although I think we can agree we are all relatively anti-social, talking to someone about your frustrations can help you be less frustrated! My inbox is always open, by the way. Also, talking to your cat may help as well. Just don't be surprised if it judges you.
9. Take breaks from playing. Playing the same game 100 times in a day could make anyone frustrated- remember, although winning is important, winning isn't nearly as awesome if you made yourself miserable to do so.

That being said, you are STILL my penguin family and I still love every single one of you. I mean that, by the way. Yes, even you. Especially you. Even when I get annoyed with you, even if it seems like I don't take your side. This isn't one of those days where I can speak for everyone on the team, but I can speak for myself in saying that I am thankful we got through the drama and ended on a strong note, and I have already forgiven everyone involved. I'm not singling anyone out- in fact, I'm not even talking about just today, it's just something to keep in mind for all of us and all of the arguments we'll undoubtedly be facing in the future.

-deep breath- Now that that's out of the way, who are we playing again? Oh right, Kreludor! That awesome team in first place that's undefeated in YYB AND SOSD. Are you shaking in your puffy blue parka? It would make sense! The numbers we're up against today are quite frightening, admittedly. But if you look closer, you see a team that drew in SOSD and YYB against RI, a team we swept. Is Kreludor a tough opponent? Definitely. They might actually be the hardest opponent we could face- after all, they're currently sitting in a well-deserved first place. Are they invincible? Far from it. Our friends at Virtupets and Tyrannia proved that (both teams technically beat KD, by the way). What's my advice going into this match? Do what you usually do, but do it with confidence in your team. We aren't going to pull off a win if you don't believe we're capable of it- we ARE, by the way. If anything, we're capable of throwing in a few draws and throwing those astronauts for a little loop. Don't shy away from YYB and SOSD just because KD is good at it, especially if YOU'RE good at it. Instead, throw yourself at it in full force, because the more you play, the bigger chance we have of an upset. Stick to one or two of your strongest games and play as much as you possibly can. Prove to those other teams that we deserve a spot in the top tier. We can do it. I believe in my penguin family. Do you believe in us?

Leave Those Haunties Shaking in Their Boots
June 12, 2011

Guess who's back? 8D
First off, I just want to thank my Terror Mountain family for giving me all of the support I needed this week with my real life troubles. My heart and head weren't really in the AC for the first week because of it, and as I'm sure you know, I thought I was going to have to take a permanent break from the AC. It was just a day, but when I returned everyone was just so wonderful and encouraging me to do what I wanted to do, and it just made me realize how much of a FAMILY this team really is to me. That was really all I needed, and now I'm back, stronger than ever. So I just wanted to thank you; none of the words I can type here will ever express how much you guys mean to me and how much I needed to hear what all of you told me. c:

Anyway, let's get down to business, yes? ;D
Congratulations on beating Altador! Those slushie-slinging maniacs weren't as easy of opponents as we were expecting, were they? But we still came out of it with the well deserved win, and we all deserve a deep breath and a walk around the house, maybe an hour or two of sleep because our scores today weren't anything to scoff at! We had one of our highest SLSL scores of all time, and although we lost that, THAT'S nothing to be disappointed about either. We managed to nearly break our all time SLSL record, and that's what matters the most. Now we'll know what to work on EVEN MORE next time! Onto the next opponent!

Haunted Woods.
The team whose screams bring all the wolves to the yard and they're like this match won't be hard. Psh well this match WILL be hard. Silly zombies. At first glance it doesn't SEEM as if the match would be hard- after all, we're in sixth, Haunted Woods is in ninth, not to mention we beat them in the finals last year. However, when you look closely, you'll see that they've faced a majority of the teams placed higher than them. Not only that, but they have pretty impressive SOSD and MSN records as well. When you realize that, it becomes clear how important this match truly is. In all honesty, we need a YYB win today. We are a single point behind Maraqua in the standings, who is only TWO points beind DC in fourth. The competition for first tier is FIERCE this year, and we're lucky enough to be in the scramble. If you need proof of that, we're only 15 points behind Tyrannia, the team in first place. Every game we win is absolutely crucial now because every single game we win is going to decide whether we're going to squeeze into the first tier or sit comfortably in second. [Editor's Note: or, dare I say it, slip back into the third tier :o]

That being said, I want you to realize that regardless of the results, we have improved leaps and bounds from the Terror Mountain team we were last year. Being in third tier was an accomplishment, and we were stunned when at the end of the finals, we managed to be at the top. If we don't do as well as we expected in a match, it isn't the end of the world. We still have more than half of the Cup ahead of us, but that doesn't mean it's all right to lose. We need to fight. We're not only proving to the other teams that we deserve a spot in the top tier, but we're proving it to ourselves. There's no turning back- we can't freak out and run back into the shadows, then gradually work up our confidence again and hope to pull upsets. This is actually happening right now- we're in the position we've always wanted to be in. Winning the Cup is actually such a possibility. We just have to keep fighting, and we have to take ourselves seriously. We've shown that we're capable of so much; now it's time to truly realize that, and use it to our advantage. Turn that possibility into actuality. This is ACVI. Now it's just time to decide-Is ACVI the year TM started showing promise, or the year that TM creeped up on everyone and struck down any team that didn't take them seriously?

The choice is ours.

Don't Give Up, It's the Start of the Cup!
June 5, 2011

I just saw the results! I know what you're thinking- "oh really Carly? You think we wouldn't have guessed that since that's how the two speeches before this started too?" In response to that, obviously I would have, I'm just not creative enough to start any other way at the moment. But guess what? I AM STILL SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF YOU. YOU ARE STILL AN AMAZING TEAM! Why? Because I know that we'll be able to pick ourselves back up after the loss to MD and learn from it! Think about it- what did you do today that you could do differently tomorrow? Some of you guys are doing absolutely amazing and playing for 24 hours a day- in that case, maybe you could help yourselves more by making sure you eat at least two meals a day. Maybe it would help you focus better, you never know. But a majority of us don't have that amazing willpower, myself included! I must say though, when I saw the results today, I was only a little disappointed. After all, that was just about our average result of last year and that's nothing to be disappointed about! We have been doing amazingly well, but sometimes a loss is needed.

Remember how I said not to get over-confident? I'll admit, I may not have followed my own advice. I had an ice cream break today, guys. I could have played a lot more. I'm just kidding, of course, but I do feel bad! I actually COULD have played a lot more, but sometimes I would think "they'll be fine without me." I'm sure some of you may have thought the same thing. So see, this loss could be what we needed to motivate ourselves to play harder! Although Terror Mountain is absolutely amazing, we're not perfect for sure. We're still a small team that relies heavily on everyone's effort, and today proves that. We CAN lose, and we did, so remember that.

Another benefit of losing? WE'RE OUT OF THAT FIRST PLACE SPOT. -wipes sweat- There's less pressure on us now, and now we can do what we know best, being underdogs. Now everyone may be thinking, "oh, TM busting out of the gate was just a fluke," but what they don't know is that we still have it in us. We won't attract any of the freeloaders or trophy hunters that decide to join whichever team is in first after the first few matches. So keep playing hard, and don't give up! This isn't anywhere near from being over.

YOU ARE THE MOST AMAZING TEAM
June 3, 2011

So I just saw the results- this is how I think I'm going to do speeches this year, I have a lot more emotion when I first see results. Maybe I should call this "Carly's Reaction to TM's Results" from now on. BUT I JUST SAW THE RESULTS. AND I AM STILL SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF YOU. YOU ALL DID AMAZINGLY ONCE AGAIN.

Please please please do me a favor and don't be down about the SOSD loss. Try not to feel obligated to win SOSD because of the streak last year- that's the past, and in reality, SOSD could be the game worth the least amount of points. Sacrifice SOSD for SS? Sounds good to me! Sacrifice SOSD for SS AND MSN? Even better! Sacrifice SOSD to even manage a DRAW in YYB? That's amazing too! So DON'T feel bad about losing, we can't win them all. HOWEVER. That doesn't mean stop playing SOSD completely- if you're burnt out of all the games but SOSD, by all means, play away! What I'm saying is don't play SOSD more because we lost. We are doing absolutely fantastic without it. Tell Kate to pack her bags, because although we love her and will try to visit her as much as we can, we just can't handle her interfering with our friendships with Prytariel, the under-paid waitress at wherever it is in the Altador Cup Coliseum that serves slushies and that nameless crazy Techo fan. Sometimes it's better just to let old friends go.

But aside from that, what we've done is such an accomplishment. We're proving everyone wrong! Did you know that we BEAT Maraqua overall yesterday? US. TM. The team that came in NINTH last year and was predicted to get that or lower this year beat a team predicted to come in the top four. Congratulations! You should be incredibly proud.

However. Don't get overconfident! I will push this over and over and over again this year if we keep up the wins. I hope by the end of the year I am so tired of pushing this point. Please make that a goal. Either make sure you don't get overconfident or keep doing so well that I just can't bear to say it again. You have to remember that we still did come in NINTH last year, and although we should believe in ourselves, try not to start bragging. Bragging isn't cool. D: It's hard when you're just SO PROUD AND EXCITED though, I understand, so this is a goal for me too, definitely. I will try my best not to be a hypocrite.

Also, a little sidenote: stick with what works. The games you play and know you're happy with, the STRATEGY WE USE to do well, what you do to motivate yourself. Only change it if it stops working! Like the new YYB, for example.

All we do is Win Win Win (Win) no Matter What!
June 2, 2011

So, I just got home from school and saw the results. I AM SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF YOU. YOU HAVE ALL DONE AMAZINGLY. See what hard work and believing can do? Yes, yes, we're awesome, yes we swept SHENKUU. It's an amazing accomplishment and you SHOULD be proud of yourselves. But now we have to rein all of the pride and confidence in. The key is to BELIEVE in us, but not to underestimate anyone. It's very very difficult to find a balance in between those, but apparently playing the Altador Cup requires a lot of walking the line, like walking the line between insanity and awesome, for example.
-Starts singing Johnny Cash-
But that's not the point! The point is...Maraqua. Maraqua is a HARD team, and though this Cup is unpredictable, if we're going by just hard evidence, they are currently on the top of the Top Scorers list. We're going to have to play even HARDER today, because if anything, we don't know where Maraqua stands. Maraqua is arguably one of the most unpredictable teams in the Cup, but if we go by the hype they have this year...Maraqua is hard, we should be scared. Just because we swept yesterday doesn't mean we can do it again today with even a littttlllleee bit less effort. Challenge yourself to play that ONE extra game every time before you take a break. Take a break for ONE less minute, maybe two. Just push yourself, don't let yourself cave in yet. Depending on the type of person you are, pushing yourself now and getting used to NOT giving in to the temptation to stop a little bit early may help you later when it gets really hard to play the same games OVER and OVER again.

BUT. With that said, we have every possible chance that we COULD beat Maraqua today if we all put in the effort and BELIEVE we can beat them. It's much easier to find motivation if you believe in that chance we have to win. There's always a chance, no matter whom we're up against. If there weren't, the Cup wouldn't be nearly as fun or fair. Maraqua may be good at YYB...But they also probably aren't expecting us to play it because of that. SO. Play YYB. Play what you want; what you're best at. Just play as much as you can today! Play as much as you can EVERY day, and we'll do just fine.

Pre-Cup Preparations
May 31, 2011

Ohai, it's Cup time already.I could've sworn that the date on my alarm clock said it was still December...It seems like I was just hanging out with all of my penguins yesterday. Oh wait, I was. But that's besides the point! THE AC IS IN LESS THAN TWELVE HOURS! Can you believe it? This year went by so quickly, don't you think? I definitely do. I'm glad though, it's always nice to see familiar faces around the mountain, and all of the new faces are always exciting to see as well.

I'll take this time to welcome anyone that's new to TM this year to the team. Yeah, welcome! And to all of you crazy veterans, welcome back. If you guys don't know me already, I'm Carly. I'm your resident insane motivational speaker. Hopefully I'll be writing a lot for you this year. Oh, right, motivational speaking, that's my job! That's why I'm here today. Shockingly, the point of this isn't just to ramble. The point is...

ALTADOR CUP ACVI IS IN FIVE HOURS! Are you guys ready? I hope so. I know things are different this year with the new YYB and new faces and the new scoring plan and everything, but we'll get through it and have tons of fun, I promise. And if by the end of this summer you haven't had an amazing time...Well, you obviously didn't play hard enough! Either that, or you got overwhelmed, which is very possible. The new YYB is really hard, especially if you're used to the old version, but I promise you'll get better if you keep at it! If you need more motivation to play it, just think...Everyone, EVERY single person in the AC is in the same boat. All of the All-Star YYB Powerhouse teams that we're so used to being in the top tier might not have all of that power with the new version of YYB, and this could be our chance to slide under the radar this year. I know we can do it- don't underestimate yourself! I bet you're capable of more than you think you are, and I bet playing the new YYB might be one of those things you're capable of.

Why is YYB so important after all? Why not just play sidegames, because we were good at that last year, right? Yes! We were! Remember that awesome SOSD streak we had? Yeah! It was awesome, but it was also really hard and stressful to keep up with. Just think, this year we aren't bound down to any streak we have to keep up with and we can focus some of our firepower on YYB instead. Imagine what we could do if we just stopped playing SOSD altogether and spent that time playing YYB instead. Talk about all-out penguin domination, dang guys, we're so cool I can't even handle it right now. Like, look at that frozen desert right now man, do you see it? Do you see that trophy up there just waiting for an underdog team to claim it? I do. I hope you do too, because it's anyone's game, this year more than ever. This is our chance to completely rock it, and in the worst-case scenario, just generally be awesome and have a ton of fun. I know we're capable of at least that. ;P

Prytariel Interview: Terror Mountain Locker Room
June 17, 2011

Hello my fellow Eskimos! Today I got a chance to sit down with Team Captain Prytariel for a short time before her final first round robin match against Kiko Lake!

*play recording*

MinervaLiMacedonia: HEY GET OFF OF ME. I AM A LADY AND A REPORTER. YOU'RE JUST ALL MUSCLE YOU BODYGUARD. Oh my press pass.. ummmm…here it is! Hi Prytariel, Team Terror Mountain has certainly turned around their fortunes this year. With nearly half of the Altador Cup set in stone, what do you think of your team's performance?
Prytariel: Sorry about security! I'm very impressed with my team's efforts. Every single member of our unit is clicking, and the support from our fans is tremendous this year! This is the best we've done in the Altador Cup, and what's great is that I know we can do even better!

M: You're fourth in the Top Scorers category. What changed this year for this to happen?
P: I certainly can't take all the credit. We spent a lot of time training in the 3 forwards + 1 defender formation during the offseason. Evrem and Osielle deserve to be on the top scorers list, just as much as I do!

M: What was your toughest matchup so far this round?
P: That game against Tyrannia was really stressful. While they don't have Elbin anymore, our teams are the closest of rivals and friends. Loryche was a phenomenal sport, and who knew that our prowess in Shootout Showdown would give us an amazing victory!

M: Speaking of Elbin, how did you feel about your match against Faerieland yesterday?
P: We knew our place in the standings, and we followed through! We've completed six sweeps this year, the most by any team so far, and I couldn't be more proud! While Elbin certainly has a special place in my heart, the team comes first before any Casanova!

M: Casanova? So you do have a romantic side Prytariel! Would you happen to be an item with anyone?
P: Haha, Minerva! I like to think of myself as a Free Aisha. There will be a time when I might settle down, but I'm in the prime of my playing career, and relationships are the last thing on my mind!

M: Oh, Evrem is single then?
P: Well of course! Wait… why would you care?

M: Umm… ahhh… *blush*.. well… uhh.. next question!
P: But you're the one who's supposed to be asking the questions!

M: Haha of course! What's gone into preparation today, for your final match of the first round robin, and your first match against Kiko Lake?
P: We certainly haven't forgotten what occurred last year! While we're no longer bitter about our broken Shootout Showdown record, we know that this team cannot be underestimated. We'll put the same amount of effort into this game as if we were playing against Darigan Citadel or Krawk Island.

M: Any final words for your fans?
P: Respect your fellow fans no matter what team they cheer for! Be proud of your white and teal sweater, and don't let anything bring you down, you're the best fans in Neopia!

M: Thanks for your time Prytariel!
P: Anytime, Minerva.

*end recording*

Till our next interview, adieu!

Cheer Up, Your Makeup Is Running
June 13, 2011

I'm angry, bitter, flustered, frustrated, agitated, and confused right now. Tomatoes look pale pink compared to the rage I have inside right now.

Some people would rip their team apart for the results that occurred. Some would just plain give up, and throw in the towel. Some would complain, point fingers, and would go Sherlock Holmes as to what was the cause of the problem. I'm not going to do any of these. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. We know what these results mean, instead of coasting in the 2nd tier and grinding away at a spot in the 1st, we're on the verge of getting kicked out of the 2nd tier, and tussling with HW for the rest of the season. And that's what we're going to hear now from all of the off-site predictions and on-site predictions. This is the weight that we're going to have carry now. This weight was unnecessary, but it is now a weight that hopefully has woken up every single person on this team.

Bottom line, we can't do anything to change these results. What we can do is be the better person. Rise up, wipe that frown off your face, and realize that we have 26 days left of the Altador Cup to play. Remember that the road we travel is not going to be a smooth path. It's a windy one. There's going to be bumps and bruises. There's going to be times when you've lost all hope, there's going to be times when you feel like giving up. If members of HW, DC, RI, KI and LD told you that it was 'easy' to win the cup, then they were all free-loaders. It's not going to be easy. Don't kid yourself. To take a team like us, Terror Mountain, and take them from the basement towards the second/first tier, it's not going to all fun and games. I'm sorry, I like to be talking about fun and happy stuff, but when we nearly get embarrassed and people look like their losing their confidence, I'm going to talk serious. I'm not like my sister, Carly.

But remember, you have achieved a lot already. Don't let these results discredit your achievements. Every single member of TOTM is mature, intelligent and goal-orientated. And you don't need to be a rocket scientist to realize the potential of this team.

But disregard the numbers, the amounts of wins and losses and all of that jazz. Because what matters, is that this team has HEART. They try to knock me down, and I'll fight back. Insult a teammate of mine, or insult me, and there's dozens of TOTMers jumping in for the cause. You poke fun at us, and we'll turn the other cheek and keep going. Now whatever happened yesterday, throw it in the trashcan. We have made progress far beyond anyone's expectations. It's a day to day tournament. Let's look forward to TODAY.

I want to say congratulations to our first four All-Stars of the tournament. Kirsty, D, Binkie and Matt. Congratulations. Sadly however, it's not all fun and joy. Without naming anyone behind this, sadly Matt, our now fallen star will not be with us for the next 7 days. One of our greatest weapons is now on the 7-Day Injured List, and we can't change that either. But it's about fighting on and tackling the obstacles in front of us in this long and winding road.

If you honestly need more motivation after our results and Matt's departure, then realize that in Moltara's inaugural season, we managed to WDWW x2 during the round robin. Let's prove that we're better than last year. But only prove it to yourself and your teammates No one else matters, because no one else wants TM to win, except for the members of this team. Let the boo's, and hate be mere noise and chatter to you.

This match against MT was supposed to be rest and recuperation for our team. Now the R&R has changed to responsibility and redemption. Focus your emotions, remember your goals, and motivate your teammates and yourself. Because starting today, we redeem ourselves.

FIGHT TERROR MOUNTAIN. FIGHT!

P.S.

I'm eating HW alive next round.

Congratulations, Critique and Cynicism
June 9, 2011

Apologies if I offended anyone with my late day arguments. If you thought I was too serious, if you thought all I cared about was winning, it's not what it looks like. When someone tries to attack a fellow teammate of mine, I am going to light that person under a fire, because all of you are deserving of my defense. Too many times in my life have I had a chance to speak up for a person that I appreciated, only for that to not happen. I am not going to have the same errors here during this year's Altador Cup. Anyways, more of this later.

Today's results. Wow, that is just phenomenal, it's beautiful, there are so many words to describe it, yet none of them can truly grasp at how epic this is. We've swept three very hard to beat teams, and nearly swept last year's champion. We are no longer trying to find our way into the Altador Cup standings, we are setting teams apart by our play. If you wish to celebrate, and take a day off, hey, I'm not questioning you at all. Hard work deserves enjoyable rest.

However, despite our early up and comings, we cannot underestimate teams, such as our opponent today, Mystery Island. Why do you ask? Because, they are not underestimating us. We aren't the ninja kid in the classroom with a hoodie on anymore. Everyone knows that we can rock their world, and they are going to play hard against us. They've faced Meridell, they've faced Tyrannia and have nearly been swept twice in as many days. They are out for vengeance. Let us not be their rebound, and instead contribute to their steady decline. Play as hard as you would against Roo Island, Krawk Island, and whichever team you dislike. Sure, the stress isn't there because they aren't a powerhouse, and I understand that, but please keep your game-playing engine in check and don't let it rust.

Now on to our more team matters. It's about players leaving. It's going to happen. It's a long period of playing, nearly a month and a half. But don't take someone leaving personally, that's his or her decision, and life just goes on. As a team, we have a heart. Whether that's made of paper mache, aluminum foil or clay, it's still a heart that is going to beat. Despite whatever makes up it's parts, it's going to beat like a hammer. If someone leaves, then someone will step up to fill their void. People can stay positive, and contribute to the missing piece of the puzzle, to a point where we're still TOTM even without that person. P.S. Carly is staying. This is just a message for anyone who might leave. You'll be missed, but know that once you're gone, that's it. We're still going to play hard without you.

Moving on to some observations I've seen over the past week or so. And that is, people who are complaining about our scores; people who are hacking away at others for not playing hard enough. There's a fine line between motivating someone, and being plain rude. I can't put it any nicer. I am not going to name anyone here, but if you feel like you've done this to someone, then you know who you are. You have to treat others like you would want to be treated by them. Having a bad day? Then what are you doing here. Being negative towards others on the internet, and then saying "Whoops I've got a bad day, deal with it", is ridiculous, you might as well say we're going to get swept. Everyone is putting their heart and soul into this game, but you can't compare your scores to someone else and put them down for it.

If you're a low rank, and complaining about out scores, do you know how crappy that makes people like me feel, who are Rank 11 and Plus? Our utmost intentions are for this team to be successful. This is also a double-edged sword. People with high rank understand that everyone has life problems and can't play as much as they would want to. Encourage, don't mock. It's these little things that can turn our team atmosphere into a happy, happy, little pony friendship is magic happy place. Yes, I went there.

OH PHIL YOU'RE BEING SERIOUS AND ELITIST, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE ALL ABOUT FUN AND CANDY NOT JUST WINNING ALL THE TIME. Yes, that is correct. But please do not mistake me being serious for the emotions that I have for this team. I love everyone on this team, the effort is beautiful, and to see successful results means everything to me. But when I see someone who tries to detriment the success of this team, I want everyone here to call them out for it. It's not what TOTM is; it's not what TOTM needs.

On to my last subject for today, and that is expectations. I don't expect everyone to be an All-Star. For everyone in their first year in the AC, don't feel discouraged just because you might not be of a high rank. The first year I played was ACIII and I was Rank 2 by season's end, and I thought I was the freaking boss. Know that the only expectations that you should fulfill are the goals that are set by yourself. Be reasonable with your playing skills and your time spent, set a goal. If you succeed, you'll be happy, I'll be happy and that is what leads to our team's success. Every little score matters. If you wish to push yourself hard, know your limit, and know that no one is trying to push you off the edge.

Anyways, I appreciate those who have listened to what I have to say, as I did pour my heart and soul into this. And I will be doing it every post game. I am not the leader of TOTM, but know that Jade is not here this year, and everyone needs a motivational monster. Hate me, love me, I'll be your martyr, and I'm not going away.

Final words for today: individually, we are nothing compared to what we can achieve together as a whole. Believe in yourself. And if you don't, know that every TOTMer around you believes in you.

-Phil

Terror Mountain Turns Predictions Into Barbecue, Roast Powerhouses by Day 2
June 3, 2011 - Altador Coliseum

Hello Penguingirls and Penguinboys! I'm MinervaLiMacedonia, reporting on the start of the Altador Cup! Walking into the Terror Mountain locker room, I see that the Frozen Five have the brightest smiles on their faces. The sixth annual Altador Cup is set in motion, and the five Neopians look ever so thrilled. It was certainly quite the ride last year, with a 12th place round robin finish, only to overcome the odds and finish 9th after the finals. What would this year have in store for the Mountaineers? Let's take a look at the team's offense and defense!

Starting with the Captain herself, "This is what I live for. The fans, the cameras, the roars as I rush into the offensive zone with that Yooyu". The Aisha has had her fair share of critics over the years, but her fellow teammates look to make sure that the spotlight doesn't burn her parka this year.

Osielle and Prytariel have got the beat this year. And me? I've trained so much in the offseason. Slushie Drinking, Snowager Hunting, Yard Sale Selling and Snowball Throwing, I'm ready for anything," boasted the young Scorchio, Evrem Guilako.

No other team executes the 3+1 formation like Terror Mountain, we've got a few cards up our sleeves," stated Osielle.

With the offense of Team Terror Mountain looking very robust this year, the defense's plan is to be far sturdier than they were last season. "Back in motherland, I cut logs. I lift them up and stack them. They heat fireplace well," said Rinok.

RINOK! Minerva is asking us about Yooyuball, not how you destroy the environment!", responded Minae. "Uh, forgive his thick head. I heard the NYC (National Yooyuball Committee) changed some of the rules this year, I think I might actually get hurt in net!

With the schedule randomized and finally printed off for the big day, Team Terror Mountain was set to face Team Shenkuu. "Ninjas? Sometimes I wish we had Lee the Bruce on our team." said Prytariel. "Another AC V Third Tier team. This will be a great measuring stick to see what this year is going to be like!" explained Osielle.

With the Altador Colosseum full of fans of White and Teal swarmed by fans of Red and Gold, the teams both walked onto the pitch. Silence filled the stadium as everyone waited for the moment. The Red Scorchio Referee blew his whistle and the games begun!

Up to their usual quick start, the 3+1 formation showed great prowess as Prytariel nabbed the Normal Yooyu from the center of the pitch. The Aisha fed the wide open Evrem Guilako on the side boards, only to have the Yooyu passed back to her mere seconds later. The Captain then fired in her first goal, and Terror Mountain's first of the tournament. "All those years of Volcano Running makes me flinch when I see a ball headed my way. Luckily Prytariel was able to catch my pass!" exclaimed Evrem.

Up 1-0, Team Terror Mountain did not stop the avalanche. With the first minute passing and the second minute about to close, Prytariel snapped a Fire Yooyu in the top corner of Shenkuu's net. A quick win off the draw by Osielle led to another Prytariel goal, this time with a Snow Yooyu.

However Shenkuu would not back down from the formidable 3-0 lead. Captain Mirsha Grelinek flew down the left flank, turning Rinok into a pylon. She then fired the Faerie Yooyu at Minae, only for the Chia goaltender to juggle the ball. The Mynci Foltaggio then decked Minae, and the Yooyuball made it's way into the Terror Mountain net for a Shenkuu marker. "THE NEW RULES STINK", said Minae fiercely. Terror Mountain would quickly regain their three-goal lead, as Prytariel picked up the Yooyu from a dazed Antola Maeir, firing the Darigan Yooyu past the Lutari net minder. With the buzzer ringing, the match closed at 4-1, with Prytariel's first four-goal game of the season, and Terror Mountain's first YYB victory! "Took three days last year. Good to get first win on first try", said Rinok Fitel.

The next event matched the Eskimos with the Ninjas in the Slushie factory. "I'm sponsored to drink beverages? Best sport ever!" exclaimed Evrem. The Ninjas would be no match for the quick tongue of the Scorchio and his teammates, as Terror Mountain downed 20 slushies, to Shenkuu's 16.

Would the now cold throats of Team Terror Mountain be able to produce a good Make Some Noise performance? "One time in the Ice Caves, the Snowager decided to wake up as I was passing by. I screamed like a little school neogirl that day, so I just have to remember that moment for this", explained Osielle. The Buzz was certainly buzzing, as he helped his team trounce the Ninjas, with a 300-250 decibel victory.

Lastly the Mountaineers had to flex their Shootout Showdown skill in the final event. Excited for the possibility of a sweep, Minae was jumping for joy. The Chia stated, "I'm feeling it right now! Maybe I'll just use my feet to save the Yooyu!" "Chias don't really have hands anyway, right Minae?" joked Evrem. Offended, the Chia slapped Mr. Guilako and pouted her way to the White and Teal net. Her anger would be Shenkuu's undoing, as she stopped all four shots, giving Terror Mountain an easy 3-0 victory.

A sweep? This is the best first day ever!" exclaimed Prytariel. The celebrations would have to stop prematurely, as Team Terror Mountain found that they would be facing the powerhouse Team Maraqua in the second day of the tournament. "I'm not going to get soggy over it, we have to face teams like Maraqua eventually. Better to bring it now than never!" said a confident Evrem Guilako. "Haven't beaten Maraqua in Yooyuball since ACII, but today could be the day!" explained Captain Prytariel. The Blue and Browns of Maraqua were set to face the White and Teals of Terror Mountain in the Altador Colosseum. With the fans all in an uproar, the game began!

The Black Hole, hot off of his five goals in the first day, stole the Yooyu from Osielle, gunning down the left flank and firing Maraqua's first goal at the half-minute marker. With Maraqua up to an early 1-0, Team Terror Mountain's forwards started to play more defensively. This would be an error however, as last year's champion Lamelle Turow was able to use his smaller Kiko frame to steal a pass between Prytariel and Evrem. He then fed Elon for his second tally of the game. "What kind of nickname is the Black Hole? Elon isn't from Kreludor!" said Osielle Lidel.

The frustration wouldn't stop for the Mountaineers, as the big frame of Oten Runeu caused another cough up in Terror Mountain's offense, leaving Elon alone with Rinok Fitel. "Acara slick like homeland calamari. Too bad he not edible" said Rinok. Down 3-0, Captain Prytariel used the team's only time-out after the second minute of the game. Giving an earful to her teammates, and a slap in the face to an always, never-serious Evrem Guilako, the team was set to make their mark on the field with their last minute.

Jumping at the start, the Tyrannian Scorchio was able to snag the Fire Yooyu, firing a cannon past the Koi net minder. Down 3-1, the Eskimos would catch a break, as Osielle Lidel drew a foul on Oten Runeu, who nearly crushed him into the sideboards. "Honestly, what's in his diet? Old Rotten Left Shoe? Cinder Block Sea Fungus? Giant Red Kelp?" said Osielle. Taking the penalty was Captain Prytariel, who fired the Normal Yooyu with ease.

More late game heroics were required as Minae crushed The Black Hole as he was trying to jam the Snow Yooyu into the Terror Mountain cage. "How do you like them rules!" boasted Minae. The keeper then left the Yooyu for Rinok Fitel. The Bori charged from his defensive end, and firing the Yooyu past Tonie Plessix, completing Terror Mountain's epic comeback. With the final buzzer ending a 3-3 game, the White and Teal fans were buzzing in the stadium, while the Maraquan fans were left with a bad taste of kelp in the mouth.

After their entertaining Yooyuball match, the two teams moved away from the Coliseum and into the side game locations. Team Terror Mountain wouldn't stray from their first day results, achieving victories in both the Make Some Noise and Slushie Slinger side games.

With a victory already in hand in the second day, the teams made it back to the pitch for the final event, Shootout Showdown. Visibly tired from the earlier Yooyuball match, Minae Mitora wasn't up to her usual goaltending, letting all four Maraquan goals in, giving the seafolk a 4-3 Shootout Showdown victory. "I can't cry, we did so well today and yesterday, I'm frozen in disbelief!" said an ecstatic Minae Mitora.

Two days under their belt, Team Terror Mountain is in 5th place in the Altador Cup Standings, with a 1-1-0/2-0-0/2-0-0/1-0-1 record. "You better believe it!" said a jublient Evrem Guilako.

And that's that. Hope you enjoyed my recollection of the first two days of the Altador Cup. Next up for the team is Lost Desert. Will the Champion Pharaohs mummify Terror Mountain's hopes, or will the Mountaineers chill Coltzan's shrine? Your effort will tell the tale!

NEOKNUCKLES' COLUMN: TERROR TALK

Episode 5: Closing Ceremonies, Cake, and Congratulations
July 11, 2011

I was able to sneak into their locker room because I can pass as a janitor as long as I don't shower for a few weeks.

It was a rough loss to Meridell; a narrow loss, but a loss all the same. You all saw it; our good ol' mountain was leading 5-1, but the knights got their unstoppable SRS BZNS faces on, and took us down with a final score of 5-8 in their favor.

I peered through the opening of an almost-totally-closed door. They were all very quiet, and heartbroken, just as us fans were. Rinok was sweating like a dog. It doesn't matter how big you are, Meridell's three forwards are just plain scary and impossible to defend against when their focus is on yeah?

Minae was on the floor, eating chocolate Peophins. Osielle whacked her on the head and the five of them gathered in a little huddle. I couldn't make out what they were whispering, but I wish I could have.

They're an awesome team aren't they? WE are an awesome team.

After the closing ceremonies and happily watching TWERPS-member Virtupets awarded for winning the Altador Cup, fans and players gathered in the colosseum for a party. Many laughs and much cake were had.

I saw Pry having a chat with Loryche, Team Tyrannia's leader. They're still good friends and it's sad that we didn't get to see 'em duke it out in the final round, but hey... there's always next year ;)

In fact, there's next year for all of us. Back to support the best team in Neopia! Until next time, brush your teeth twice a day, don't jump into vans unless they have candy, and whatever you do... always stay frosty!

Episode 4
June 19, 2011

Shhhh. Quiet. Seriously. Shush. Hear that? It's the sound of those Terrors a-cryin'. *sniff*

There's a point in every eskimo's life when they ask... WHY ARE THESE M&M'S OUT TO GET US? Well, my curious friend, you may just be jumping to conclusions. So what if they break our record-long streaks and near-sweep us when we're fighting to hold 2nd Tier? How important are those things, anyway?

Oh, what am I saying... they're lake people. The reason these little monsters hold a grudge on us... don't you get it? I'll repeat it with additional capitalization. They are LAKE PEOPLE!

We pretty much freeze their stuff and skate on it; if you lived under a lake, you'd be vengeful as well. As long as we harness the power of all things cool, they'll say stuff like... no way bro, those things should be unfrozen yeah? We'll embarrass you repeatedly until you are unable to dance on your pretty little bodies of water and we can stick houses under there that are shaped like our heads.

So now you know.

I know it feels like they are watching us every second, and they probably are, but just keep playing and next time around we shall... LOSE HORRIBLY!

Wait, no, wrong line... I think that one's supposed to be in the next episode. Well, whatever. You know what it was supposed to be. Until next time my honorable mentions, stay frosty!

Episode 3: We Love Haunted Woods!
June 16, 2011

It's not all screaming trees and drama-llamas when it comes to the ghosts and us. In fact, I recently experienced something that warmed my heart, and not just because it was 96 degrees outside.

A Hauntie was walking 'round the plaza after their one-sided victory against us; whistling, cheering, all that happy stuff. He came across a Terror Mountain supporter, who was sulking... this guy was really down in the dumps.

Or so it seemed.

So, the happy Hauntie felt bad, and gave the Terror a hug... heartwarming yeah? Well, Mr. Terror snickered, reached for his pocket, and dropped a snowball down the Hauntie's back.

The Hauntie howled in surprise (HA, see what I did there? AOO AOO AOOO), jumped up like a rocket, and dashed away... like a rocket.

You may be thinking, 'Okay, that was actually a very mean thing to do. Why did it warm your heart?

Well, it warms my heart when we get revenge. Cold, white, fluffy REVENGE!!!!

Other than that, things have been rather uneventful. People are starting to mellow out now that the opening is excitement is gone... awww. But I'll be sure to continue giving you the behind-the-scenes scoops. And maybe some ice cream scoops, but only if y'all keep your rooms clean. Until next time my ghost busters, stay frosty!

Episode 2: How NOT to Sell Ice Pops
June 12, 2011

Testing, testing, 1-2-3... so if you didn't know already, Terror Talk will update every Sunday and Thursday, so get used to dealing with my ramblings. AND READ THROUGH THEM, DON'T SKIM, YOU ILLITERATE DOOFS!!!

Beautiful day today yeah? I wanted to cool everyone off (well, I actually wanted to make money, but that sounds shallow) using a tasty treat from our native land... ice pops! WOOHOO!!! Unfortunately, I lack proper marketing techniques.

It was a Faerielander in a pink skirt. She was walking side-by-side with her Yellow Kacheek. She had no interest in my ice pop stall, or me, for that matter. She walked right on by. It angered me a bit. I ran over to her with a watermelon ice pop and shouted, "BUY THIS, IT WILL MAKE YOUR TASTE BUDS DO AN IRISH JIG.

She called for plaza security, and I was hauled off quickly. I returned via a fake mustache to hide my identity, but I took it off when I got to the stall because it made me itchy.

Next customer was a Meridellian in a blue T-shirt. Good-looking dude, seemed pretty built. I figured he was a wannabe knight. A Blue Lupe stood behind him. The guy asked for lemon. I reached down for a yellow ice pop, and he gave me the 140 NP in exchange. He gave it to his Lupe, who immediately morphed into a Lemon Chia. I was angry because I could have sold that thing for much more if I knew what it was, but the big dude was even angrier, and proceeded to flip the entire ice pop stall over on its side and spill the yumminess all over the dirty pavement.

Lesson to be learned here? ACers are hostile little buggers. Until next time my Terrors, stay frosty!

Episode 1: Beware of Moltara Maniacs!
June 9, 2011

What's up, party people? Welcome to Terror Talk! This is where I, Brandyn, ace reporter and Altador Cup aficionado, will tell you all the trends and goings-on from around the Altador Cup plaza. As you know, the tournament just started about a week ago, and there have already been some crazy happenings in these last few days.

Moltara fans have been absolutely wild, cheering about how they plan to melt the competition. I saw one of them darting around, saying something about how Mor "ABS" Gollog will be breaking into the locker rooms of the other teams, throwing the other athletes into swimming pools, eating their supplies of food, and then leaving behind an iPod which only plays Rebecca Black on repeat. I suggest other teams, as well as us fans, wear bathing suits at all times. I don't know if you've seen him but he's ripped, so instead of trying to stop him, lets just go swimming yeah?

Oh, and I also saw Prytariel running into the Colosseum for today's match. I freaked out and took about 7472374 pictures on my digital camera causing it to explode in my face and I passed out shortly thereafter but I assure you I SAW HER!!! Okay, that's all for today. Until next time, stay frosty!
