Welcome to my guide to Transmogrification Potions!
What are these potions you ask? Well they are items that you can give to your neopet, to turn them into something horribly cute!

08-25-08 Today was Mutant Day! The petpets Bubblebee, Selket, Crokabek and Hippalop can now be painted mutant, and a Mutant Peophin has been seen around Neopia!

How They Work

If you happen to obtain one and want to use it, simply go into your inventory, click the potion, and then select "Give to ____".
Right away you'll have an adorable mutant pet, and a spiffy avatar to go with it.
Make sure you choose the option "Give"! Some species likes Grarrls and Skeiths can eat anything. If you choose "Feed" the potion on these pets the potion will disappear and you won't have a mutant D:
The species of your pet will change based on the potion you use. Say you had a Gnorbu, and used a Cybunny Transmogrification Potion on it. It would now be a mutant Cybunny. Even if you were to use say a green paintbrush on it afterwards, it would remain the cybunny. This can sometimes be the cheapest way to obtain a Limited Edition pet.

How To Get a Mutant
There are four ways to get a potion. Trans pots are given out by Dr.Sloth in Random Events. However that would involve waiting for a RE you could never get.
You can also use the Lab Ray, but that could take awhile trying zap after zap until you get the perfect pet.
So if you want a mutant pet for sure you'll have to buy it. You can either try your luck at Kauvara's Magic Shop (although trans potions get sold out quickly), or you can browse the Trading Post.

So you want to know how much it's going to hurt you to buy one of the potions? Here is a list of all the potions and their current going rate in the trading posts.

It's hard to get the EXACT price potions are going for at the Trading Post. So when I check the prices I go for the price that is the most common and the lowest. Prices are known to vary depending on those who posted the trade.

So now that you have you're awesomely mutated pet, you want a petpet to match right? Well below is a list of all the mutant petpets available. How do you get a mutant petpet? Mutant petpets are created using a Mutant Petpet Paintbrush, that go for about 140-200k each. Of course there is always the Lab Ray as well! Or you can always buy a mutant petpet from the Trading Post.
