Konnyanyachiwaa!

My friends and family call me Swifty. I'm now 13019 hours old. I used be a dull green, but now that I'm growing up, my coat has changed to a beautiful island colored! I love my sandy markings and beautiful blue eyes. That's me to the right. My mom drew that picture of me...isn't it awesome!? (she's entered into the Pet contest so its the full size image for the next few weeks!)

As for me, I mostly like to play at home, read, and play games. I love yummy foods too. Best of all, I have an adorable pet delfin! Her name is Aurora. We have lots of fun swimming together and playing near the beach. She's my best friend and I love he so much.

We're working really hard on collecting the entire Evil Coconut collection for our stamp album, and mom thought it might be nice if there was some help out there for fellow collectors. Mom said we should warn other collectors that the prices on these have been skyrocketing lately, with some jumping as much as 20,000 NP in just a few weeks! So if you are a new collector, you'll want to decide if you want to wait awhile to see if the prices calm down some or buy now to avoid having to pay even more later.

How to Get Evil Coconuts

Evil Coconuts can be won from Coconut Shy as discussed below. You can also buy them from other users. This is definitely a collection where having the Super Shop Wiz is a plus! Don't have it? Neomail my mom for a premium referral! Also keep an eye on mom's shop! Sometimes we get evil coconuts that we already have, and mom always prices them way lower than the lowest SSW price! If you are just starting out and you Neomail my mom with the subject line of "I Love Evil Coconuts" you just might get a cute christmasy looking gift to help get you going.

For the Flaming Evil Coconut, you're best bets is to browse the trading post. Be careful of scammers! ALL of the other evil coconuts can be found in shops for around the prices listed. There are some unscrupulous people who will list them on the trading post for 4 and 5 times their going prices and claim they are very hard to find! Only the Flaming Evil Coconut is very hard to find now!

Evil Coconut List & Prices

The arrows indicate whether the price has gone up or down since my last update (August 18, 2007). Double arrows mean a BIG change (10k or more) and no arrow means no change :-) To price these, I do NOT use the lowest prices on SSW, but the approximate average of the middle lowest results, so that more than likely, when you price them, you'll get pleasant lower priced surprises not nasty ones.

In the editorial of the issue #24 of the Neopets official magazine, TNT confirmed that the Flaming Evil Coconut can NOT be won from Coconut Shy. Originally, the item was an Adam Plushie that was given out as a Better Than You prize. However, the powers that be decided that the Adam Plushie should be an Advent Prize, so they changed the existing one into a Flaming Evil Coconut so it wouldn't lose value. Unfortunately, it seems like this particular coconut will never be released again (unless they make it another BTY prize) so its current price of 10-15 mil is likely to stay there or continue to rise

Coconut Shy Guide

The basic idea of coconut shy is that you get a ball, throw it at some coconuts on poles, with the goal of knocking one down. It costs 100 neopoints per throw and you get 20 throws per day. With each throw, there are five possible results:

You miss, and get nothing

You hit the coconut and get 50 neopoints

You give the coconut a good jolt, giving you 300 neopoints

You hit a coconut and it goes down netting you 10,000 neopoints and an evil coconut (and now you get an avvie!)

The coconut you hit explodes, getting you the 500,000 neopoint jackpot and an evil coconut - rarest! (no screenie for this one cause I haven't had it happen to me yet!)

The results of what happens when you hit the coconut is random, however there are some tips to help you at least hit the coconuts consistently (thus upping your chance for your win). Aiming for the middle coconut is usually the easiest option, using one of the two tricks below. You won't hit perfectly with either trick, but you will get more hits which also ups you chance for a win!

Trick 1: Position your cursor on the "a" in play again, similar to this screenshot:

Trick 2: Position the top finger of the hand relative to the pole
(this trick is most useful if you want to aim at other poles)
