Intro

You suddenly wake up, notice that you are beneath the water surface. You try desperately to swim to the surface, but then you realise you're able to breath. While you're busy to ask yourself how this is possible, you see two lovely peophins playing with a petpet.
Suddenly the one with the purple mane spots you in the corner of her eye, and swims towards you...
Sweet: Hi guest, welcome to my reef.
I'm Sweet the peophin, and this are Kiusih and Avaera. ^^
Kiusih: Hello there. ^^ Just call me Kiu if you want.
Avaera: Meoww *purr*
guest: H-hi... but.. how do you know my name?
Sweet: Oh.. well, I have some magic powers.
guest: What..? Eh... And what am I doing here under water??
Kiusih: You fell into the water, you were unconscious. Sweet used her special 'underwater-breathe-spell', so now you're able to breathe under water for a while.
*Hey, that's weird, you always thought peophins had no wings... and she has those weird marki- *
Sweet: I know wings aren't very usual for a peophin.. and these markings, well.. I'll tell you later.
*How... how did she knew that?! Can she read minds or something?*
Sweet: Yes, I can. ^^ But you don't have to worry about it. I won't do it if you don't want.
guest: So... you guys are winged peophins, but why? You don't need them underwater, right? And I always thought that magic did only exist in faerietales...
Sweet: Almost all peophins have their own magical powers, some peophins have the power of the light, others peophins may have powers of fire. I haven't really discovered mine yet, but I hope I will soon...
guest : But why didn't I know that? I thought peophins were... well, just peophins!
Sweet: It's a secret of our species, none of the others above the water know it, except a few friends, and the faeries themselves ofcourse. And now about my markings. Let me tell you my story...


Story

Long time ago, when I had not been born yet, my family lived in Maraqua. 'Normal' peophin families don't have wings growing out of their back, but our family has. One day they got attacked by something evil, I don't know exactly what or who it was, but that day was horrible... My parents couldn't tell me the whole story, but this is what I heard from old family members later. That 'thing' attacked my family, but they fought back. The monster got injured severely by my father, who was the leader of our peophin warriors. It tried to escape, but my parents did not let it leave. In his last minutes it said something to my parents, something about their first child. It was strange... when it spoke those words the water became wild, as if a strong wind was blowing under water. And then, after his strange words, he died... Years passed by and my parents almost forgot what he said, until they got their first child.
That first child was me. I was a normal, newborn filly, but I had no earfins and a curly black marking under both of my eyes. They thought it wasn't something to worry about. When peophins grow up, their wings should start growing, and they should discover their magic powers, with which they could 'recieve' a mask, a special mask which would make their powers stronger. But I was already 13 years old, and still I got no wings or powers, only those stupid markings. My parents got worried, they were thinking non stop about the monster my father had killed. They were affraid that I was cursed, and that I could become bad or evil through that monster. They.. they became afraid of me. The whole family became affraid of me. Oh yes, my parents still loved me, but not as much as they did before... Atleast, thats what I thought. I felt so alone, I had no friends, I couldn't go to school again because nobody wanted to teach me anything. Then I decided to swim away. Why should I stay there? I could care for my own... So I wrote a goodbye letter to my parents, and that night I left Maraqua. I decided to move up, to the land...

I loved it there, the environment was so different. Since I had legs, I could also walk, it was really easy. My tail just seemed to be floating in the air! After a few weeks I met an angelpuss, named Avaera. She was a blue-grey angelpuss, with white stripes, but without wings though. She seemed to be different too, just like me. We had a nice and pretty easy life there, but after a few years something strange happened. Each time I was near the beach and the sea, it felt like it was calling me back. I couldn't resist... I just had to go. But then a problem occured; I couldn't take Avaera with me, she could not swim properly and first of all, she couldn't breathe underwater. I was confused, I didn't know which way to choose. The sea was too strong... I thought desperately of a way to take her with me, but I couldn't think of anything...
Then, I began to feel strange... suddenly my eyes and markings began to glow. My angelpuss was changing, it looked like her backlegs were melting into one... I was confused. I was in panic. I didn't know what was happening. I knew some peophins had magical powers, but I never thought I had them! When my eyes stopped glowing my view became clear again. I looked at Avaera and I discovered she had a fishy tail now, just like me... I was so delighted, I could take her with me now, so we went to the beach, and ran into the water. But I was still thinking of the weird thing that happened... magic powers... me?

Later, when I was alone, I saw another peophin swimming. It Strange... I thought I'd seen him before... He came closer and closer, and I began to see the light grey-ish blue color of his skin... I saw his white mane and wings. Then it dawned on me. It was my dad.. My own dad I hadn't seen for years... a strong peophin, the strongest and most brave peophin of our whole family. I swam to him as quick as I could and wanted to hug him, but then I saw he was wounded severely. He.. he said he wanted to tell me about my past... He told me I was cursed by the monster that attacked Maraqua before, and that Maraqua was attacked again, but this time by pirates. My father had fought to them, as much as he could. But the peophins had lost. He tried to escape the battlefield, he couldn't take it any longer... The warriors were defeated. He was starving. I felt tears coming up in my eyes, and I told him I missed him so much, that I would do anything to rescue him, and that I felt so sorry I swam away from home... There was so much I wanted to tell him. I was thinking of a way to save him, and I tried to get the magic powers again, but I felt too weak. The powers didn't work. With his last powers he gave me a little feather out of his wings, and said that feather would remember me about him, it would give me strength when I needed it. Then he lied down on the rock I was standing on. His eyes became blurry... He fainted. My loud 'NO!' shivered through the water. But there was nobody that could help. We were all alone. My very own father died right in front of me...

I swam away, back to Avaera. There was nothing else I could do. But every time I looked back, I had to cry, like a little child.

And so... my life went on. But I was more curious about the curse than I had ever been before. Maraqua got rebuild in the meantime... So I went back to maraqua to search for the old and wise peophins who might know something about my curse. I was lucky. There was only one of them alive. I asked him about my curse. He told me that it wasn't a severe curse, because the monster was very weak when he cursed me. I had to find my real love, then I would get my wings back, which he had actually 'taken' from me. I would recieve my full powers, which were highly decreased right now...
So that had to be the reason... The reason I couldn't heal my father. The powers were exhausted after the shapeshifting I did on Avaera... If that monster would not have been there, my father would still be alive... I cried again.

Thanks to my lovely computer the rest of the story got erased.

Kiusih My best friend and my love; Kiusih. Call him Kiu if you want. ^^ He's a white and winged peo like me. We live together in our reef, and sometimes on the land too. I like the most when we are flying together over the lands, and see all people watching us, when they think: "huh..? A flying peo?", haha ^^

Family
I don't know my real family, and I'm not going back to Maraqua again... But I met a nice human, Anne (_Sweet_Baasje_), and she has other pets too. I'm seeing that as my family right now.

Lupinialo He has such a long history... He got cursed long time ago. Lust like me, but his curse is way more severe than mine. He is able to timetravel, through the past and the future. He will never live and never die... Yet deep inside his tiny heart there's still a little bit of love.

Chaizah Oh yea, punk! You love that? Then you are on the right place with Chaizah... She has an unique style, and loves to paint graffity, so if you see a graffity wall nearby, the chance Chaizah has been there, is very big. Though she's just a lupe she travels a lot, and very fast too. You'd better be quick if you want to spot her!

HoleyDoley My lil' fuzzy pink sister, HoleyDoley! ^^ She's young and very playful. She is usually living in faerieland, but she's kinda hard to find, though. I always forget on which cloud her house actually is... She's very friendly to others although she's a bit shy to the ones she doesn't know. Go and give her a visit!

Friends

Asidya Asidya is a wonderful Christmas peophin with wings like me. I met her in the open ocean and we became friends very quick. She's always very helpful and polite, and always there when you need her. She has the power of healing, which is very handy. ^-^ When I swim with her, we always have much fun! x3 I hope one day she can teach me how to heal wounds, I think that would be great. :3
