not forced to create this application! I have chosen to make this application without anybody requesting me to do it! Whenever I apply for a pet, no matter what species or color, I always make it a petpage application.

It is midnight. You are aware of the dangers you are facing now. But of course your boss was too chicken to come out here himself, and instead sent you. Why am I even here...? you ask yourself. You freeze when there is a rustle in the bushes and you whip around. A large maroon-scaled dragon with a type of strange necklace dangling from her neck steps out of the bushes. She stares blankly at you and then growls, baring her teeth at you. Ah... a human I see? How odd... not too many of those come around here... she said, the mere sound of her speaking causes a chill to run down your spine. You frown and back away, realizing that you were standing on a cliff. The dragon laughs coldly, blinking. Her laughter slowly dying out. Suddenly the gem that was dangling around her neck began to glow and a light flashed. You stagger to the side, squinting. When the light dies down a pearly-scaled dragon is standing in the other dragon's place. She looks at you, frowning solemnly. I'm so sorry! I didn't think anybody was around... and... so I thought it was safe to... but... she stammers apologetically. You suddenly notice something strange. The gem on the other dragon had been the exact color of the dragon that was standing before you now, and vice versa. Again I am so sorry... uh... who are you? the dragon sighs, looking extremely apologetic. Uh... it's okay... I'm guest... who are you? And... while I'm lost... could you tell me about you? I'm already curious... because of what I saw... you reply, grinning sheepishly. The dragon blinks. I am Laemna... uh... I guess I don't mind... she says and then begins to explain...
Note: Since Laemna was banished she had to change her personality and learn how to act differently. So there are two personalities. The first is what she is trying to become like and the second is how she still kind of is.

Heh now this girl... she's very nice. She's this clan leader and lives in this place called Saphaiaki, which is a really amazing place I might add. She has her doubts about her leadership skills, but I know she'll make a great leader. She helped me kind of... well it's easy to encourage her I guess... and that's what I need... practice with encouraging people... anyway... yeah... I hope she'll be able to have a great life with her clan and everything...

Due to my horrible past I have come to "love" only a few things... one of these things is my mother. Even when I was banished she still cried for me and wanted me to stay despite my father's efforts to keep me out. I heard she left Tamiae because of that. I also love my birthplace, Tamiae. Sadly I don't remember it well since I was only a hatchling when I lived there, then I was banished. Oh what bittersweet memories... other then that... I really don't "love" much at all... though there are things I like and such but...

One thing I despise more than anything. My father. He banished me for no apparent reason whatsoever. In my opinion I think it was because I was female and my father wanted a son instead. So he banished me, hoping to get a son. Though I doubt he ever got his wish since my mother left Tamiae to come find me and left him and the kingdom. One day I hope to meet him again and find the true reason behind my banishment. There really is nothing else I loathe... just... my father... |
Her Other Form
Ana... she's one of the sources of my troubles... she came to be when I was banished from Tamiae. My father had the kingdom's elders put a spell on me that cursed me with this demon who calls herself Ana. She's more powerful then me... but somehow I seem to have more power over my body then she does... probably because it is my body. Once in a while, if nobody is around, I'll let her out to lower her energy, so when I do meet someone there'll be no chance of her coming out and trapping me in.

Introduction
Hello Larka, or any others who may be viewing this application. My name is Sky, first of all and this is my application for your wonderful draik, Laemna.
About Sky
First of all, as you know my name is Sky Hirotaki. I have been playing on Neopets for almost a year. I created my first account on February 1, 2008. I am very active, though I do not go on all of my accounts every single day. I normally stay on my main account, which is this one, caea_akona. I am on every day unless I am on vacation or something similar to that where I cannot get online_ I am indeed a role player, writer, and artist. I love drawing my characters and making them petpages. I belong to the guild JIA (Jikan ha Ima Aru) which is led by my friend. I enjoy drawing with my tablet and am always willing to do an art trade with someone. I love role playing and writing. My favorite game, anime, and manga is ToA (Tales of the Abyss) and I could technically say I'm a big fan of it, though some would argue against that. I don't really like opening up to people unless I really trust them a lot. Oh and on another note the reason the picture of me has ears and a tail is because I mixed my persona with my fursona. That was a random fact, sorry. Anyway... that's pretty much it for this section. I know I kind of rambled and I apologize.
Why Sky
As I said before I am a role player, writer, and artist. I love my characters very much and feed my pets right away and do not let them rot. I draw my characters often and role play a lot. I make my characters petpages and Laemna would not be an exception. If I were to get Laemna I'd draw her so much and role play with her. I'd also either revamp her petpage (change it so it has a different background or something, not necessarily the content) and such. I'd also enter her in the BC and customize her to fit her personality. Draiks are also one of my "dream pets" as most people call it. I know that many people will probably say things similar to what I say but they
are reasons why I think you should choose me.
Why Laemna
First of all, just so you know I do
not simply want Laemna because she is a draik. I simply love her name and it fits so well with the personality I gave her. I have been searching for a dragon-like pet I could adopt for quite some time now, one that would fit the character I had in mind. I have been unsuccessful until now. When I saw Laemna my heart practically jumped around in excitement. I thought that Laemna was the perfect name for my character! I also have been wanting to make a dragon-like character for a very long time. One that I didn't create myself. None of the UFA ones I had happened upon were ideal for me. Until now of course. Laemna's a perfect pet to make a character out of. Right when I saw her I thought "I
must make a character of her!" and got to work on my application right away! Though, the species of Laemna
is very nice I must say, even if Laemna were for example a white shoyru, I still would apply! She is very fun to role play with, too! Just ask some of those I've RPed with! I'm glad to have the opportunity to make her into a character of mine. She also inspires me to draw. I love drawing her! Altogether she is a wonderful pet, and even if I am not chosen as her new owner I will definitely live on adoring her character.

Nighttime fell gracefully over Spain, the sun casting its last bloody rays in a vain attempt to keep the dark away. But as always it failed, and night once again captured the fabled city. A large stone gargoyle sat perched on the edge of an old building, and as the sun disappeared cracks appeared along the stone, and small pieces of it fell away.
A young dragon slunk through the city, glancing around nervously. She sighed. Nighttime was always her least favorite time of day. She could barely see and almost everything bad seemed to happen to her at night. She yawned, squinting and trying her best to see around. She wasn't familiar to this area either, like usual. The only difference was she could fly away at any time. But what fun would there be in that? Even if she was scared stiff.
The stone fell away in large chunks now, falling faster and faster...and a chunk fell straight down, crashing to the ground now more than a foot away from the other dragon. A moment later, a skinny, lithe form dropped from the building edge, landing silently, although her paws shook the earth. She paused, not even noticing the other dragon.
Whoa! the pearly-scaled dragon halted, blinking in surprise. She looked up to see where the stone had fallen, frowning. Jeez I really do get into trouble at night... she murmured, sighing wearily. That was close... but where did that come from she asked, still trying to find the source of the stones. When she noticed the outline of the other dragon she blinked. Uh...
The dragon spun around upon hearing a sigh, and her yellow eyes flashed.Quien usted es?" She hissed, her tail flicking from side to side. Her Spanish was perfect, the tone of a native speaker. She shook herself slightly, some small stones falling from her body.
Uh sorry I don't speak Spanish... Laemna frowned, trying to understand what the other dragon had said. She didn't speak any other languages, especially not Spanish. She sighed, tilting her head a little to the side and pouting.
She sighed, impatience flashing in her eyes.Quien es usted... who are you?" She asked, her voice coming out slightly deeper than a normal females, and the English perfect but heavily Spanish-accented.
Oh... uh... I'm Laemna... the dragon blinked, shaking her head. Sorry about that... um... who are you? she asked, frowning and staring at the other dragon curiously.
...Soy Lu, she murmured, still staring suspiciously at Laemna. "Or..I'm Lu, rather. I apologize if I switch to Spanish...it is my native language." She peered at the other dragon, tail flicking from side to side. "What are you doing here? Don't you know this part of town is supposed to be cursed, haunted?
Lu... it's alright, I wish I could speak another language... Laemna nodded a little and then blinked. Haunted? Cursed? Er... I've never heard of that... I don't know much about other places since I was born far away from here... what do you mean? Is there like... er...
Yes, haunted. By a stone gargoyle that comes alive at night and eats the souls of wandering children." She smiled, her pointed teeth glowing slightly in the dark, casting an eerie look about her. "And yes, I could tell that you aren't un spainard...
Stone... gargoyle...? Laemna shivered at the thought and shook her head. That sounds awful... oh well... at least... I'm not a child... unless the gargoyle eats dragons too... she murmured, sighing heavily.
The gargoyle eats whatever it pleases, so long as the soul is a child." Lu smiled again, her yellow eyes staring keenly at Laemna. "So...why are you here in my humble little country of Espana? What brings you here?
Oh... well... like I said I'm not a child so... the dragon shrugged suddenly. I don't know... I wander around... since I was banished from my old home... I've been wandering ever since and just... happened to pop up here... she said.
Mmm...banished?" Lu questioned softly, her yellow eyes lessening in intensity suddenly. The world almost seemed to soften around her and a small frown creased her face. "I...that sucks. So tell me...why were you banished?
Yes. Banished... Laemna nodded a little and blinked. Few had ever questioned her about the subject. She shrugged, truly she did not know. I really have no idea... my father hated me though... and he was the one who banished me... so... but I'm not really sure the real reason behind it...
Hm. No se... I don't know what to say. Sorry? Maybe one day he'll let you back." She shrugged, stones falling from her pelt and making small clacks on the cobblestone street.
Eh it's fine... it's not like... I have much to gain at going back there... only seeing the people there again... but my only family is pretty much my mother and she left when I did... Laemna murmured.
Okay...I guess-" She broke off suddenly, eyes going wide and whirling around. Lu's nostrils flared and she took a step back, whipping back to Laemna. "No...there shouldn't be a child here at this time of night...You need to go, now.. Ve. Ve!
H-huh?! O-okay! Laemna blinked and darted quite a distance away, frowning. A child's here? Er... that can't be good but... she shook her head and decided it would be best not to comment on it.
As sure as she was certain Leamna was away, Lu let out a huge breath. Her pupils, slits already, dilated until they were gone, her whole eyes yellow. Her markings glowed and spun, rearranging themselves. And then she smiled that cheshire-cat grin, her teeth long and pointed, before turning and melting into shadows.
Though she was too far away to see what was happening, Laemna blinked when Lu disappeared. Whoa... where did she go? she wondered, frowning. This is... so weird... she murmured.
The night was silent, until suddenly there was a soft voice speaking. "...now come child, I won't hurt you...I just have something special to show you." It was Lu, her voice a soft croon. Behind her came a young aisha who looked slightly scared but unharmed. "I don't see anything," She said, pouting and looking up at Lu. But the dragon just grinned down at her, and then her markings extended off her body and reached into the girl's chest, emerging with a small glowing orb. The girl fell to the ground, unmoving.
Laemna listened to the sounds that she heard, biting her lip. What's going... on... over there...? she asked, frowning. She tilted her head a little to the side, wondering if she should go see what was happening, but decided it was best to back off.
Finally there was silence, and then suddenly Lu was in front of Leamna, grinning slightly crazily. Her markings still glowed and rearranged themselves over her body. "Laemna...you can come out now. It's alright." She danced back into the alley.
A-ah okay... Laemna followed Lu, yawning. What happened...? she asked curiously, tilting her head a little to the side.
Oh...nothing," She said liltingly, shooting Laemna a taunting glance and then her eyes flashing. "Just a lost child. So...what do you think of this, eh?" She gestured to her swirling, moving markings, grinning.
A lost child...? Laemna frowned, but then shook her head. She stared at the markings curiously. They're... quite interesting... she murmured.
Yep. Indeed they are." She nodded, seeming proud. But as Laemna watched, the marks slowly stopped moving and settled upon her body. The slightly crazed glint disappeared from her eyes, and Lu blinked at her. "What...did I say I did?
Laemna blinked. Huh? What do you mean...? she asked, apparently very confused. What did you do? Um... she frowned, staring at the dragon intently. Sorry, I don't understand..
Oh...then, nothing, nevermind." Lu looked a little unsure, but she shrugged anyway. Her eyes glanced to the sky and then widened. "It's...almost dawn already?! No," She said softly, sounding sad.
What's wrong with... that? Laemna asked, tilting her head a little to the side and blinking. What's wrong? she added, frowning. Is something the matter?
Yes...I can't be out during the day. I, er, have this condition...can't be touched by the sun. I...it means I have to go," She said, glancing softly at Laemna.
O-oh... okay... Laemna frowned, sounding a little crestfallen. That's too bad... I wish you could... stay longer... she said, tilting her head a little to the side. Can't be touched by the sun... hm...?
Yeah," She sighed, looking slightly sad. "So...this is goodbye then. Bye Leamna." With a sigh she turned and walked away.
Goodbye! Laemna called after the other dragon, sighing heavily and turning away. I hope I see you again... she murmured and then flapped her wings and flew away.

The moon was slowly rising in the sky, and stars twinkled in the velvet black of night. In the forest below, barely a thing stirred. Silence pressed down on the trees below. Then, a rustling came from the bushes and a dark figure stepped out into a pool of moonlight. The figure stood, bathed in moonlight in the center of a clearing in the trees. The figure flexed its transparent wings and twitched its ears, sensing a change in the atmosphere. Someone was in the forest.
A young dragon walked cautiously through the forest, the moonlight causing her pearly-white scales to sparkle. Once again she had forgotten to think before she entered. Now she was stuck here until she found a clearing or other open area. She glanced around, frowning. Believing she heard something, she stopped and looked around though it was too dark to see much. Figuring it was just her imagination, the dragon marched on, still feeling like she wasn't alone.
The canine's ears twitched yet again. He knew someone was here who shouldn't be. A growl rose in his throat. Padding out of the pool of moonlight, the dark wolf began his silent trek through the forest, red eyes searching for the intruder. However, it was not difficult to find the pale form of the dragon against the dark shadows of the forest. "A little lost, aren't we?" he said, snarling as he jumped in front of the dragon.
The dragon blinked, stopping. Huh? E-er... yeah... I'm lost... she admitted, frowning. I'm sorry but... uh... she stammered. Do you know the way out of here? she asked. Might as well ask anyway, even though this guy seemed pretty aggressive. Did I do something wrong? I can tell I've angered you somehow... I really just want to find my way out of this forest... she said, sighing. I don't want to cause any trouble...
You caused trouble the minute you stepped into my forest." he growled. Although he truly didn't mind people walking through the forest and would have rather left them alone, it was his obligation to interrogate and question all who entered. He sighed, trying to calm himself slightly. "It isn't smart to be wandering around here at night. I can lead you out, but not until morning. For now... it looks like you'll have to come with me. Follow, or you can stay out here the whole night." and with that, the wolf turned away from the white dragon and began to walk into a denser part of the forest.
Oh... I had no idea... I'm really sorry! the dragon sighed, nodding. I'll follow you... I wouldn't be able to find my way out of here anyways... so I guess... she trailed off, keeping her gaze on the wolf. She followed him cautiously, frowning. She wondered with this wolf had acted so aggressive. And it shocked her quite a bit to be treated that way when she had done nothing wrong.

As the first rays of the rising sun peaked in through the lush forest, a bird cawed. Along with that, a rather important looking xweetok walked easily through the forest. The ends of her long, sky-blue scarf trailed beside her and she yawned. What a nice day. After her meeting with Versai she had been a little more high-spirited and kinder. Unknown to the xweetok, another life form was slinking through the forest, silent and undetected.
A pearly-scaled dragon paced around a rather large clearing in the middle of the forest. Running around the clearing in a circle was a river. The young dragon glanced anxiously around, wondering if she was alone. Although she could fly away at any time she decided to stay put. She sighed, staring at the small bridge-like arches that went over the river to lead into the clearing. Frowning, she stared at the clear sky and wondered how long it would be until she came across another person.
Hissing as the sun hit her eyes, a Xweetok with Red and Aqua blue wings clinging to her sides, she was snuggled up against a tree, she clamped her paw over her eyes' tiredly. her grey-ish aqua and blue fur sparkled a bit in the sun, as her scruff wiggled around some in the slight wind. As a Brown and Peach pelted xweetok watched the Dragon, her wings twitching slightly, she was watching everyone, and everything from a tree. /A dragon eh?/ She thought to herself, she's seen things with wings before, but never anything like a dragon. She looked down at the small xweetok that was sleeping under the tree was sitting under.
Yawning vastly, the young dragon spotted the two xweetoks. 'Ah... I see I'm not alone...' she murmured, frowning. 'Who are you?' she called, tilting her head a little to the side. 'How odd... I've seen a few of your kind... but I can never seem to get used to how odd-looking they are...' she said absentmindedly.
Amare entered the clearing slowly, accidentally splashing into the water instead of taking the easy way. "A-ack!" she shivered, slipping around in the mud at the bottom and practically jumping out of the river. "Yuck. Mud..." she grumbled, wiping her soiled paws on the grass under her, coating them in mud. "Disgusting... I have to remember to be more careful from now on," she sighed, blinking when she noticed the dragon. "Oh... my...
The xweetok under a tree curled up more, not ready to awaken from her rest. The Peach pelted pounced from the tree and landed in front of the sleeping xweetok. "Pff..." She smirked, glancing over at Amare. "...I'm not weird." She spat, glancing back at the Dragon. Fyre, stood up, hissing softly, her eyes grew wide in surprise "Where did all the people come from!?" She exclaimed, blinking, when she fell asleep, it was dark, quiet and empty. Frost rolled her eyes and looked at the dragon and Amare.
